Welcome to my Stampin' Up! Blog! My name is Bruno Bertucci and I'm married to Kylie.
I've been showing a LOT of floral ideas for the Botanicals for You stamp set I featured this week to showcase one of the most popular Sale-A-Bration 2016 freebies (find out how to get it for free!) So I thought I'd share a couple of masculine card ideas you could also make with this versatile set. Dial down the flowers and you've still got magic! TIP: I used my Stamp-A-Majigg to perfectly position my stamp a second time, so I could create a "drop shadow" of Pool Party ink behind my Night of Navy words. Works great! It went so...

I'm late posting photos of the cards created for this month's class swap. Being under the weather for the better part of six days put me way behind, but it feels great to be back in my stamp room! In case you don't know about the class swaps, those who attend my monthly class decide on a swap theme for the next month's class. The March theme was to feature a color combination using 3 to 4 colors from one of Stampin' Up!'s color collections. The fun thing about a color combo theme is that it can seem that none of the cards have anything in common, except the theme which is definitely not apparent when looking at these creations: This is Jane's lovely creation featuring Inside the Lines DSP and a fun envelope pocket/flap layer. The ribbon adds so much to this design. If you don't believe me, just try to imagine the card without it. Debbie designed and created this colorful and cheery Z-fold card. I like the clever design using the decorative die-cut to hide the sentiment inside. This also allows for more sentiment/signature space--which is also colorful and decorative. Lisa's waterfall of petals and leaves, featuring "Special Reason" stamp set. I love how the DSP behind the stamped layer is playing color peekaboo and giving a hint of more flowers, tying the overall design all together. This is Terry's beautiful creation. I had trouble capturing all of her gorgeous shading for the sky in my photo, but it is so striking in person. Her lighthouse ground is heat embossed, which adds an extra element of texture to such a pretty scene. And lastly, this is the card that I created for the swap. It features colors from the Brights Collection that I sponged onto a piece of Irresistibly Floral DSP.

I just love "Punch Art", your creativity can just run wild! And today I have found another version of Punch Art with the Playful Pals Stamp and Framelit set This bundle is available on January 5th - I was a bit overwhelmed at first, there are 50 stamps and 18 framelit dies in the bundle, so where to begin. For some reason the frog legs jumped out at me - no pun intended! I stamped and cut the legs eyes, fussy cut the body. I started just moving the pieces around on my desk, and before I knew it I had crated my adorable little frog, I just love those big eyes! - but he needed something else.... a lily pad, I stamped the "solid" body stamp then fussy cut. The sentiment and sun are a Sale-A-Bration stamp set, also available January 5th. Challenge 217 at Freshly Made Sketches gave me inspiration for my layout. For this card I cased a card in the new 2016 Occasions Catalogue (pg. 22 Occasions). I liked how the butterflies were used on this card and is is an easy card to whip up when in a hurry. Rather than using the Mint Macaron ink pad, I used Versamark for the lace stamp. For the butterflies I used most of the current In-Colours (Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, & Delightful Dijon). To create the corners of the Whisper White panel, a 1/2" circle punch was used. That is the only element that is popped up with dimensionals. For the inside, just a couple of butterflies, a sentiment and a strip of the lovely lace (that didn't stamp too well for me this time). Well that concludes the Sneak Peeks for the "Grateful Bunch" stamp set bundle with "Blossom Bunch" Punch. Next Sneak Peeks will be using some of the "Going Place DSP" and "Going Global" stamp set! See you tomorrow!! What I used for this card you will find below (with the exception of the new Bundle). Happy Stamping! Hi Stamping Friends! The spring flowers have been amazing this week here in Indiana! I was worried that our late cold snap may have damaged the flowering plants and trees, but most are looking better than ever! My flowering plum tree was practically dead last fall and it is blooming like crazy now.

I'm in love with this new bundle in the Occasions 2017 catalog! It's called Dragonfly Dreams. It's very versatile. I would use it for a birthday, get well, congrats, thank you, thinking of you card. I made several of these cards at once. First, I started with Whisper White cardstock and cut the dragonflies. I stamped on another piece of Whisper White with the dots from the stamp set. I used three colors - Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party and Perfect Plum, and then mounted it behind the dragonflies. I colored the dragonflies with the Wink of Stella pen but you can't see it in the photo. I love the shimmery look! I finished it off with some Metallic Enamel Shapes. I decided to see what the dragonflies would look like in Pear Pizzazz on the white panel. I liked the look even more! The sentiment is from Sheltering Tree. Let me know which is your preference. And I will post a third on another day! Check out the new catalogs here:
This is one of the cards we made in class this week. The die cut image is from the Window Box die set. Thanks for stopping by!
Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop for Febraury 2016, we have the great pleasure to have Patty Bennett as special guest. This month our theme is "Inspired by Patty", our task - to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of Patty's projects. I absolutely adore the Flowering Fields stamp set, so the project below was my call to CASE: I love how Patty has combined stamping and Designer Series paper, separating the elements with the ribbon or washi tape. Here is my Patty inspired project: My project features 2 of the amazing Sale-a-Bration products, Flowering Fields Stamp set and Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper. I used Basic Black Archival to stamp the images and Aqua Painters to colour - I had a burst of inspiration and created a 2nd card! Can you see the Wink of Stella on the water colouring? It has an amazing shimmer in real life, but is a tad difficult to photograph! The sentiments are from the One Big Meaning set available in the Annual Catalogue. I would love it if you could pin my cards! Thank you so much to Patty Bennett for your time and inspiration. So make sure you hop all the way around our Crazy Crafters hop and see all the incredible ideas, and if you have a chance please leave a comment, we love receiving comments. #stampinup #faithfulinkspirations #onstage2017 Today's card is a sparkling masterpiece created by Michele Fleming. I'm sure you'll agree with me that it's simply stunning! Michele started with a 2-3/4" by 4" piece of Basic Black Card Stock, cutting out two of the flowers using the Stylish Stems Framelits. She stamped a sentiment from the "Beautiful You" stamp set in Versamark Ink, sprinkled on some White Stampin' Emboss Powder, and set it with her Heat Tool. She adhered this onto a 3" by 4-1/4" piece of Silver Glimmer Paper. Next, Michele adhered this assembly onto a 3-1/4" by 4-1/2" piece of Basic Black Card Stock, which she had wrapped a length of 1/8" Silver Ribbon around. She then embossed the front of a Basic Black Card Stock card base with the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. She adhered the focal piece to this using Stampin' Dimensionals. Finally, Michele added three Basic Rhinestones to the card for just a bit more bling. #stampinup #faithfulinkspirations Today's card has a clean and simple feel to it. Don't go thinking that "clean and simple" means "plain and boring." This card has so much texture and color that it pops! I love the way the flower pops off the Whisper White background. It's so dramatic. And so easy to make!! I stamped the flower from the "Special Reason" stamp set in Watermelon Wonder onto a Whisper White scrap. Then I cut out the flower with the coordinating Stylish Stems Framelits Dies. You can get both these fabulous products in a bundle and save 10% over purchasing them separately. Next, I colored the petals closest to the center of the flower with a Watermelon Wonder Stampin' Write Marker. And then I colored all over the flower with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush so that the flower really sparkles! I stamped the two solid image leaves from this set in Emerald Envy onto Whisper White scrap and cut them out with the matching Stylish Stems Framelit. To build the card, I started with a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise. I adhered a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White mat, which I embossed with the Festive Embossing Folder, to a 3-7/8" by 5-18" Watermelon Wonder layer. Next, I knotted a length of Whisper White Organza Ribbon and wrapped it around these layers before adhering them to the card base. I adhered one of the wonderful Lace Doilies to the card--these doilies are wonderful because they are Whisper White on one side and Very Vanilla on the other. Squee!! Then I adhered the leaves and, finally, I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flower. I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment from the same stamp set in Emerald Envy on to a 1/2" strip of Whisper White Card Stock, flagged the end with my Paper Snips, and then adhered this to the card, tucking it under the ribbon. Hi Stampers, Today we will be making this beautiful card using a technique called Faux Quilted background . I got a swap card from my friend Karen Duke and she used this technique on her swap
I made this card for a color challenge I wanted to participate in but didn’t. It was during my stressful and hectic December when things just got away from me. I am back on track now so I’ll be postin
Hi everyone! Hope you had a fabulous weekend! I've got some masculine cards for you today...I am meeting with five lovely ladies this morning to do some stamping and I wanted to show them some cards using the Urban Underground Specialty DSP! The first uses the Match the Sketch sketch: I used some of the cool silver and black hexagon DSP with silver foil and Smoky Slate cardstocks, along with Guy Greetings for the first card: It's a little easier to see the foil here....I stamped "DAD" with Stazon ink and stamped the other images with Basic Black and fussy -cut them out. I created my own background by stamping the sentiment on the angle repeatedly all over the Smoky Slate cardstock, and I added some Timeless Textures images as well! The second one incorporates the As You See It Sketch: and some other papers from the same DSP set: The top strip also has silver foil x's on it; the central panel is regular DSP and I stamped the birthday sentiment from February's Paper Pumpkin kit directly onto it and added some of the dot elements as well: The final embellishment is some silver wire thread and a little "bolt"! Since the panel is on an angle, it was a little tricky to keep the wire from slipping. I solved the problem by cutting a wee little slit on each side of my card and nestling the wire in the slit. Worked like a charm! Thanks for popping in today!!! Be sure to come back tomorrow for the latest Stamp Ink Paper challenge, too! A little Duplo play! Have a splendid day! Project Details- All Products SU Unless Otherwise Noted Stamps Guy Greetings, February Paper Pumpkin, Timeless Textures Card stock & Papers Whisper White, Basic Black, Naturals White, Silver Foil, Urban Underground Specialty DSP Ink Stazon, Basic Black, Smoky Slate Accessories Urban Underground Embellishments, Silver Wire Tools Bg Shot, Stitched Shapes Dies, Aquapainter, Misti
Hi friends! Happy to share my card for The Paper Players with you. This week, the sensational Sandy is our hostess with a fun Theme Challenge: I was so excited for this one because I really like to fussy cut. I find it very relaxing--funny, right? I know some people find it stressful but I can really get in the zone when I'm snipping! Despite that, I ended up using some dies on today's card and no fussy-cutting at all! Just shows, that you have to go where inspiration takes you. Oh how I love the Dragonfly Dreams set and coordinating dies--it was the first thing I purchase from the Ocassions catalog. Paired with the Affectionately Yours designer paper is gorgeous. I love the bright, spring colors and the pop of copper throughout. There's not much explaining needed for this card--it's really pretty simple. The dots from this set were stamped in Mint Macaron onto the cardstock of the same color and the sentiment was stamped directly with Night of Navy ink. You do need to see a close-up of this gorgeous dragonfly resplendent in Copper Foil. The detail of this die is amazing and cuts beautifully from the foil paper. I cut an extra dragonfly from Vellum cardstock and added it to the background for a subtle extra layer. I like the gossamer look of the vellum. The stamps in this set are just as gorgeous as the detailed dies. The detail SU is able to achieve even with the photopolymer stamps is amazing. I never thought they would be able to match the detail of red rubber in the clear stamps but this set proves that they have! I hope you enjoyed my Affectionately Dragonfly Dreams card....it will be headed out to a special friend who enjoys nature and all manner of winged creatures! Do check out the lovely creations from the rest of the Design Team over at The Paper Players...maybe you'll even join us before the challenge closes on Friday, March 10th at Noon (PST).
