Here's a card that looks detailed and time consuming but it was actually fairly quick and easy to make. The ferns from Butterfly Basic...
I had great fun with the Butterfly Basics stamp set and some butterfly dies and other bits n bobs! I made several cards, some just in a different colour scheme, others with slightly different elements (ribbon, die cuts, jewels, pearls...) but I love this one as the colours are just so pretty/vintage/ice-creamy! Yet again I have used one of my favourite pinks - Melon Mambo - only downside of that one (and Blackberry Bliss) is that the inks do make a mess of your fingers! And they also stain your photopolymer stamps, but as long as you clean them properly this does not affect the colours you stamp next. I am adding this card to the following: Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge - #123 Anything Goes with a Twist - Add some pearls A Bit More Time to Craft - #17 Anything Goes Cupcake Inspirations - #353 Photo Inspiration my inspiration was the pretty colours Stampin' Up! materials used: Stamp sets - Butterfly Basics, Gorgeous Grunge Inks - Melon Mambo, Early Espresso, Sahara Sand, Old Olive Dies - Bold Butterfly framelits, Butterflies thinlits Ribbon - Mint Macaron dotted lace trim Card - Whisper White A4 thick cardstock, Vellum Embellishments - pearls Butterfly Basics Photopolymer Bundle [138865] Gorgeous Grunge Clear Stamp Set [130517] Melon Mambo Classic Stampin' Pad [126948] Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad [126953] Sahara Sand Classic Stampin' Pad [126976] Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad [126974] Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies [138135] Butterflies Thinlits Dies [137360] Mint Macaron 1" Dotted Lace Trim [138424] Whisper White A4 Thick Cardstock [140490] Pearl Basic Jewels Embellishments [119247]

Have I mentioned how much I have used this set and how very much I love it? lol I made a set of cards and an envelope box to put them in. I made the box with the envelope punch board. 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 piece of cardstock Envelope punch board: line up at 3 1/2 inches, punch and score, then at 5 inches, punch and score again Rotate cardstock 180 degrees, line up at 3 1/2 inches, punch and score, then at 5 inches, punch and score again On the two sides that you haven't punched/scored, line up at the two score lines you see, and punch & score Crease all score lines Envelope and back of card Inside- this card was supposed to be a thank you, but I stamped Happy bday on the front. So I stamped the greeting, punched it out and glued over the thank you.

Hello Peeps!! I have another card to share with you today. This one I made using the color challenge at the Paper Players, sadly I missed out on be able to link it up there. That is alright, I am still happy to share it with ya'll!!! The colors for the challenge was Sahara Sand, Pistachio Pudding and Lost Lagoon. I decide to try my hand at some Lost Lagoon "blue" flowers. I stamped the flower from the Butterfly Basics stamp set onto some Naturals Ivory card stock using my Black Stazon ink pad. I colored up the image using my aqua painter and ink pads. I then made the crazy decision to hand cut out this image. LOL!! It wasn't too hard to do, mmmm yea NOT to bad at all!!! I then set it aside to make the rest of the card. The base is Sahara Sand card stock and then I used another layer of Sahara to stamp the Hardwood BG onto. I used Sahara Sand ink for that. I also stamped some leaves from the Butterfly Basic set using the Sahara ink as well. I added a small piece of doily to the bottom corner and sponged a bit of Sahara ink onto the doily. I added the flower image with some dimensionals. I tied some twine around the bottom and added a vintage vanilla button. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Naturals card stock using Lost Lagoon ink. I hand cut the flag end, curled it a bit and glue it onto the card, tucking it under the edge of a bit of the flower leaves. I stamped three butterflies one form the Butterfly Basics set and two from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. I cut these out and added them to the panel, I tucked one down by the button. I added some basic pearls to the butterfly centers. I then matted this piece with some more of the Naturals ivory cardstock and glued it all to the base. Thanks for stopping by today! Vicki
It's time for week 9 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop. Every week the Art With Heart Team have been featuring on of the fabulous Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order. This week we are featuring Basic Gray from the Stampin' Up! Neutrals colour family. Basic Gray is a colour a I often choose for stamping outlines when I want something a little bit softer than black. As Basic Gray ink is water based it can still be used for outline stamping when colouring with Blends Markers. For tonight's card I used the Sketched Butterflies Bundle. I stamped the butterflies in Basic Gray on Basic White card stock. I coloured the butterflies with Petal Pink and Bubble Bath Blends Markers. Colouring with Blends Markers has become my favourite way to colour images. I cut out the butterflies with the coordinating dies. The circle hole in the card front was cut with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies. I cut through the DSP and the Petal Pink layer at the same time and then transferred the location of the hole on the card base with a pencil and then cut out with the same die. The Basic Gray circle around the hole was cut with two of the Stylish Shapes Dies. For the threads behind the largest butterflies I cut up a strip of Silver and White Sheer Ribbon. I love the silver threads with the Basic Gray tinted wood grain DSP from the Country Woods DSP pack. I stamped the greeting from the Sketched Butterflies set in Silver Embossing Powder on the inside of the card. I also stamped two sets of the tiny butterflies in Basic Gray on the inside of the card. One more pic of the inside of the card. Those tiny butterflies are so cute! I also added a couple of the coloured tiny butterflies to the inside of the card. Now it's time to see what my stamping friend Kate Morgan has to share with us. Please follow the hop to all of the blogs to see the beautiful Basic Gray inspiration. If you have any issues with the links in our blog hop please head to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the wonderful host of our Colour Creation blog hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants. What, me water coloring with the Stampin' Up! Gal stamp set? Yes, indeed! With a touch of ink and a Blender Pen, this pretty floral image is quick and easy to color. This week's Tall & Skinny Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO408) was the inspiration for my 6" x 3 3/4" card design!

I'm sure most of you are familiar with my butterfly obsession so it should not surprise you that I'm sharing some more butterfly love today. This card is actually from one of my Feb classes & is a definitely recent favourite... & not just because it came together super quickly (for me) and I've only used one stamp set to create it - true story. :-) As you can see, the base is a z-fold (in pistachio pudding - yum!) with an embossed front Spring Flowers embossing folder to add some texture. I've added a panel with images from the coordinating Butterfly Basics stamp set to provide a pretty background for two gorgeous vellum & soft butterflies (click on the pic for a larger view). I think you can see them better in this pic too: I love the softness of the pistachio, lost lagoon & soft sky colour combo - a very happy find, that one. Pistachio Pudding is no longer available to purchase, but there are lots of other colours that would work well...& maybe there will be a new match coming in the new catalogue. Stay tuned :-) Back to the card... I've repeated the panel on the inside, adding a couple more butterflies to make a pretty trio. My class lovelies all loved this card - especially how quickly it came together for a very special result - so I hope you do too. I love seeing your pins & comments so remember to share the love too. Take a look at this pretty new collection of products from Stampin' Up! The Butterfly Bouquet suite is so pretty. The Stamps and dies will be part of the next Annual Catalog that comes out in May, but the papers are a special just for now. While I really do love the stamps and dies, that paper is amazing!! I made several projects with the collection and the paper was the star of the show on all of them. Check them out and then watch the how to video. Check out this flyer for the whole collection: https://su-media.s3.amazonaws.com/media/Promotions/2021/Q1-OOP-Butterfly-Bouquet/flyer/02.02.21_FLYER_OOP_Q1_NA.pdf You can purchase part of the collection, or the whole suite and get a discounted price. The Stamp is one large stamp for $17. The die set is amazing with one large die that cuts all 6 butterflies at once, as well as 6 large detailed butterflies and some accent dies. There are also two difference papers with this set, one is 6x6 and full of lovely patterns. The other set is a 12 x 12 2 sheets of wood looking papers with a wood grain texture embossed into the paper. The large die also cuts some of the butterflies in the paper, which I show in my video. Such a great collection of products that easily makes beautiful cards and scrapbook pages. You can also get the whole collection with one style number. Hurra, es sind Pfingstferien. 2 Wochen Erholung. So genug geschmarrt.

I've stepped out of my comfort zone today, I'm using yellow! Any shade of yellow is not a "go to" colour for me, so when I saw this fortnight's INKspiration challenge, well..... I was challenged, lol I love the images provided for the INKspiration challenge, but try and try I struggled to come up with a design, so I started looking at other challenges, then when choosing a stamp set for Freshly Made Sketches I saw it, Watercolour Wings and it dawned on me.... purple and yellow butterflies :-) Watercolour Wings is such a beautiful stamp set, being photopolymer it is easy to stamp the layered patterns for the butterfly. I stamped 3 butterflies, 2 on Whisper White and 1 on Vellum, to keep the colours subtle I stamped off once before stamping on the cardsotck and vellum, the exception being the body of the butterfly. I used the FMS277 layout, for my first card I added a layer of Delightful Dijon and some Crushed Curry Bakers Twine to compliment the colours in the butterfly. The sentiment is also from Watercolour Wings, and I added a little bling by the way of gold sequins to finish. I was beginning to feel more comfortable with the colours, so I got adventurous, I die cut the vellum butterfly with the large Bold Butterfly framelit, then cut cardstock butterfly using the medium Butterfly Thinlet die. I wasn't sure what I was going to do... when playing I put the detailed die cut under the stamped vellum, and oh my it looks like veins in the the butterfly wings! I used Elegant Eggplant with Crushed Curry for the card base and finished with gold sequins. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.
