Stamps, paper and ink… that’s what stamping is all about… and this card illustrates that perfectly. Last week, I attended Stampin’ Up!’s “On Stage” semi-annual event. It was a wonderful experience, and of course, I had the opportunity to meet and create with many exceptionally talented ladies. Along with the social and stamping time, we were […]

Kim Lundstrom created this gorgeous card that features the paper piecing technique in a spectacular way! She cut out the image with several run throughs with the Big Shot Machine with each color that she was going to piece back into her image. The thinlits featured are the Timeless Tags on page 23 of the Occasions Catalog. The sentiment is from Avant Garden, a Sale-a-bration set available only through March 31, 2017. Carmen Olsen's card shows off some spring things on the clothesline! She used the T-Shirt Builder Framelit Dies on page 30 of the Occasions Catalog. The sentiment is

THE STAMPIN SCOOP SHOW – Episode 29 February 15, 2017 We sure had fun sharing the Stampin Up Succulent Garden Suite on today's episode of the Stampin Scoop Show. We started out with some audio technical difficulties (no sound), which thankfully we were able to fix right away.
It took me a while to use the Nailed It Bundle from Stampin' Up! but now that I've started, it will be hard to stop. I combined Nailed It with some of the images from Gorgeous Grunge - such a versatile set for creating backgrounds and adding small details to a composition. I used a limited palette of Cajun Craze, Night of Navy and Smokey Slate and am really happy with the outcome. The images have been stamped in both Night of Navy and Cajun Craze and some of the outline colour used to shade with a Blender Pen. I really wanted a combination of colours and as many of you know, I love my Aqua Painter, so I added some more colour onto the images with the Aqua Painter. The background is made up of stamping Gorgeous Grunge, firstly in Smokey Slate and then stamped off images using Night of Navy. The little nuts and bolts are wonderful for filling in some of those blank spaces that just need "something" to balance the composition, and the Regals Enamel Shapes provide a finishing touch to the sentiment banner. Just a reminder to you all that SALE-A-BRATION only has 4 more weeks to run. If you want some of these great products for free, you only have to place an order of $90 or more. Like wise if you are thinking about joining Stampin' Up!, now is the time to do it. 2 additional free stamp sets of your choice can be yours, but only while SALE-A-BRATION is on. You can choose from any of our catalogues plus the Holiday Carryover List or the Clearance Rack Here are the products used in this project. If you live in Australia, you can purchase them on-line if you wish - they will be posted directly to your home address. Best Wishes and Happy Stamping!
Hej hallo allemaal!
The South Pacific Artisans have conspired to bring you a mini blog hop today that showcases the fun Day at the Beach stamp set. When I glimpsed this set in the holiday catalogue I added it to my order immediately! I think it will be perfect for embellishing a scrapbook of our family holiday to sunny Queensland earlier this year, not to mention, great for beachy inspired cards like these ones here today. For this first card I drew inspiration from our Queensland holiday. I started with a piece of shimmery white cardstock, which I watercoloured with dapper denim and tempting turquoise. I flicked quite a bit of water on the finished panel for a blotchy, under the sea type background. I inked the Day at the Beach images with Classic Stampin' Pads and stamped them on shimmery card too, before clear embossing. The embossing helped the colour stay sharp during the colouring process - no bleeding! For my next project, I stamped the images in black on shimmery white before watercolouring. I then fussy cut them and added them to a whisper white card base. I added the Sunburst Sayings sentiment 'you brighten my day', it seemed like a wonderful fit for this bright summery scene. In keeping with the little watercolouring theme I had going with these projects, I was inspired to try a little messy watercolouring by this card made by Debby at Lime Doodle Designs. I stamped the images over a piece of shimmery white, added little hearts from the Places You'll Go set in the gaps between, then aqua painted. Despite my I hope that you've enjoyed this little taste of summer! Be sure to visit the talented Jessica Williams and clever Susan Wong to see what they've created. Hi stampers! It's time for our second Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! How exciting, right???? I'm still in awe I'm on the team! We are a group of 20 demonstrators from around the globe who bring you fun ideas twice a month with awesome SU products. If a blog isn't in your preferred language, feel free to use google translate to figure out what's going on! For this hop we are focusing on Sale-A-Bration sets, you know, the FREE set you can get with a $50 order in the US (check with your demo for the details if you're in a different country). Who doesn't love free? And cute! All of the sets are super cute! However, I'm pretty partial to the little food truck set, tasty trucks so I picked it. Why? Well, I love me some FOOD!!!! ;-) My first card is pretty basic but has a couple of cute little details. I just had to use this sentiment! I mean, "let's taco about how awesome you are?" SO ADORABLE! And...well...TACOS! Yum! To make my background, I just randomly stamped the little tacos on daffodil delight. My truck is watercolored on our watercolor paper. It's hard to see in photographs but I actually used the clear wink of stella brush to make the windows and hubcaps have a little sparkle and shine to them. You can use the wink of stella pens to blend your watercolors to add a little something extra. It's really cute in real life! I cannot get it to photograph for the life of me! I swear it's super cute and sparkly! I also used some of the wink of stella on my little flags that I cut out. I very carefully used a small bit of a dimensional to stick them down right behind my sentiment. I love the little accents in this set like the tiny flag and the little pennants, so cute! For my second card I wanted to do something kind of fun so I made a pop up card! I'm trying to do some little fun extra things that I wouldn't normally do if I weren't on the ADT. I'm a total lazy stamper who doesn't want to do extra work when I don't have to! LOL! But who wouldn't want to get a birthday card with a food truck inside???? The front is pretty basic which I like since the inside is little bit of a surprise. I came up with a little hack for the those cute scallops. I really wanted to use a scallop border and could find none in my stash that was current. Layering square framelits to the rescue! I actually cut out a couple of squares and cut them in half and then lined them up so the scallops aligned behind the panel of DSP and bada-bing (haha) scallops! And for the little truck on the inside! So cute! Like I said, I'm usually pretty lazy and don't do many extra steps but REALLY basic pop up cards are pretty easy even though they look involved. To make the pop up, I watercolored and then cut out this little cupcake truck. Then I took my whisper white cardstock and a quarter inch off of both the long and short side so that it measured 8.25" X 4" and scored it in half. Next, I used a ruler to draw a nice straight line about an inch from the score line. Normally, I'd use a light pencil line but I used a pen here so you could see well. Then I simply took my paper snips and sniped up to the line. You could get all precise and measure I suppose, so that it's in dead center but....lazy...so I just guesstimated. See, anyone could do this as it's easy-peasy! Then you just poke the little part you cut so that it goes into the card and close it and fold it really well to make the little pop up part. Then you just adhere your little truck and it's done! There's a few different ways to do this kind of card but this is the easiest and quickest in my opinion. You really should try one! Now you're off to check out Miriam van Eyden's SAB awesomeness. You're going to love it! Thanks for hopping with us and happy stamping! This week has flown with lots more work happening outdoors here colourmehappy hq, so it's no surprise I have tools on my mind, & used the them on my card for this week's sketch challenge at Just Add Ink. Here's the fab & flexible sketch Narelle challenged us with. Cool, huh? I took a little liberty & squished the sketch a bit to make my card, but I'm sure you'll see all the sketch elements. I paired together the Nailed It stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue & Labeler alphabet stamp set from the 16-17 Annual Catalogue - my first play with both of them. I received Nailed It as a Prize Patrol win at Onstage Live in Brisbane (#demoperks). It's not a set I'd normally gravitate too as tools are not really my darling man's thing, but I was very happy to win it, as it was something different for my collection. More ideas for masculine card ideas are always welcome. Back to the card, I started by cutting the circle sketch elements with my Stitched Shapes framelit dies (have you figured out I LOVE these yet?), then embossed the real red circle with the new Hexagons Dynamic embossing folder (wow! another new love that one). The dotty paper is from the Carried Away dsp pack - a Sale-a-bration freebie you can choose with any $90 purchase until 31 March. See how to get your free pack here. I stamped the tools in basic gray archival ink & watercoloured them with smoky slate, dapper denim, old olive, real red & peekaboo peach ink & an aquapainter, then fussy cut them out. If you're thinking 'ugh, fussy cutting', you'll be glad to hear that coordinating Build It framelit dies are also available separately & as a discounted bundle. I don't have the dies yet so fussy cutting it was. I popped up all the elements on dimensionals too. Here's a more angled view of the card to hopefully help you see the dimension. The punny birthday sentiment is a custom one I stamped using the Labeler alphabet stamp set. I love that it helps you make your message say anything you'd like, & it's such a fun font & shape. I really hope this makes the dear friend receiving the card laugh & not think we're calling him a tool, something I'd never have thought of until the darling man suggested it. What do you think? On the inside, I used a leftover paper scrap & a few more watercoloured tools. I forgot to take a pic, but I'll add one later if I have a chance to do it before giving the card this weekend. If you'd like to know anything else about the card, just leave me a comment. Remember to pin my card for later inspiration too. All the supplies are listed below & available to buy, if you'd like to make your own version. Now head over to Just Add Ink to see all the fun ways the team used this great sketch & play along with the challenge too. I'll be back soon with more ideas for you to try. Time flys when you are having fun..... or when you injure yourself and need lots of rest to recuperate. My back had a nasty run in with a sock, then a mini pizza and then a piece of paper! Long story short, I haven't been able to sit for any great length of time for the past few weeks, so crafting, blogging and keeping up with Facebook and emails has been a challenge to say the least, I am starting to catch up, but still have a way to go! I have had a number of requests regarding the measurements/dimensions of the Lift me up Z-Fold card I created on 20th February - so here you go! In Australia our A4 cardstock measures 21.0 cm x 29.7 cm, I designed the template so that I can make 2 cards with 1 piece of A4 cardstock, and the card will fit in a standard size envelope too! Here is the order in which I applied the above measurements to make the card base: measure up 6.5 cm from bottom left corner, make a small mark measure down 6.5 cm from top right corner, make a small mark line up marks on your trimmer at top and bottom of the card stock and cut. Your A4 sheet is cut diagonally and you have 2 z-fold card bases :) on the flat edge of the cardstock (not the diagonal cut edge) score at 9.9 cm and again at 19.8 cm fold along the score lines and burnish with bone folder there you have it, you are all ready to decorate your z-fold card UPDATE - IMPERIAL MEASUREMENTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE - CLICK HERE Cards I have made using these dimensions: Thanks for visiting today, I hope this template helps you create a z-fold card. I had a lovely crafty session with a couple of stamping friends recently and had the opportunity to play with the Jar of Love bundle. These sessions can turn out to be expensive! I hadn’t paid any attention to this set at all but inevitably I loved it. What I particularly liked was that SU have thought of everything. I cut out the jar, but was wishing I could make it transparent... then discovered that there’s a die to cut out the middle of the jar, too, so I could! I used this colour combination, based on the ink pads that just happened to be on the table, and when I returned home, I realised it just happened to be a Mix It Up Monday combo, using a colour combination from my latest set of In Color charts! Well, it is if you discount the Soft Sky, which I am going to do as it’s very subtle behind the vellum. Hello lovely stampers. Today I am showing you a couple of sneak peeks from an upcoming bundle in the 2017 Occasions Catalogue from Stampin' Up! (start 4th January, request your copy HERE). The stamp set is called Dragonfly Dreams, and the Thinlits are Detailed Dragonfly Thinlit Dies. I love dragonflies, so this set really caught my eye for pre-order (one of the great Demonstrator perks). I created an ombre effect with ink on watercolour paper (Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Elegant Eggplant) and then when that was dry I cut the dragonflies from that using my Bigshot and the Detailed...

Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp? To participate in this week's challenge and to see all the great projects from the Design team using this set be sure to visit the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog. This week we were challenged to use the Bird Banter Stamp set. I have created a birthday card with the large parrot. What I love most about this set is that all the images are outlines, which makes it perfect for colouring! I cut up the sentiment and arranged the words around the parrot as it was too big to place at his feet as a solid piece. The background DSP is from the Tutti-Frutti suite, the 'reverse' sides are great for Layering backgrounds. If you like the colour combination, please share it on your favourite Pinterest board! Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed seeing my project please take a few moments to leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think. Hammer! Stampin´Up Set aus dem Frühjahr-/Sommerkatalog 2017 Karten mit Prägeform Sechsecke
Hi stampers! I'm so excited to share with you today and to hop with some of my fellow display stampers from the recent OnStage events! I'm always so honored when I get to be a display stamper not only because I get to inspire you with brand new things, but because it's always so great to see what other super talented people do...and to get to meet them at the event! So, sit back and hop all around the world with us and see some new things from the upcoming Occasions and Sale A Bration catalogs! We'll be hopping all week! And yes, it's pains me to not be sharing Christmas right now (ha) but I wanted to get my display samples shared! I'm starting with the Magical Day stamp set. If I'm being honest, I haven't always been the biggest fan of the sets for displays (although they tend to grow on me when I use them) but this one is perfect for me because it has a dragon and Ian LOVES dragons! The Myths & Magic Suite is pretty cute! Here's a few of my samples! This is one of my favorites. I colored this little knight with my Blends and I thought the little enamel heart was the perfect touch! I also love this pattern of DSP, very manly! I colored this mermaid straight away when I got the set which was like a day or two before I knew the Blends were coming so she's just regular watercolored. I did add some Wink of Stella to her scales which is really pretty in real life. I wish that stuff would show up on camera better! The DSP is pretty will some sparkle, too! This wizard is also colored with my blends and I just love Picture Perfect Paper Ribbon. It's part of another suite but it sure pairs perfectly with this one! This is also another pattern in the Myths & Magic Designer Series Paper. This one is probably tied for my favorite card. I love this dragon since Ian loves them! It's one of the first things I colored when I got my Blends markers as well. I knew immediately I wanted to add some Embossing Paste bricks and combine it with the Myths & Magic 6 x 6 Glimmer Paper. It's so pretty! It does shed a lot though, my whole office is covered lol! I may have set it aside and only pulled it out a few days before OnStage ;-) But it's worth the shedding, it's gorgeous! My last project today is this little treat bags. You'll notice more glimmer paper and some cute little binder clips. Those are also not from the M&M suite but again, they pair nicely. I hope you enjoyed my projects, I have many, many more to share so make sure to come back! And make sure to hop on over to see what Charlet has for you, it's going to be spectacular! Ok, I have made VERY little progress on my Christmas cards this week, because my demonstrator pre-order arrived! All the Spring 2017 Occasions Catalog goodies my little heart could desire (well, a bunch of them anyway!) arrived on my doorstep and totally flattened my plans. They were leveled by many things (new papers! new dies! new embellishments!) but the first thing I had to play with was Tasty Trucks, which has my bet for the most popular Sale-A-Bration set of the year. It's so cute! And I love that this stamp set (get it free beginning January 4th!) comes with...

I am blessed....I need to say that again, I am blessed! When I saw this truck I melted (it was pictured in the SAB Catalog) ....and as much as I knew I wanted to see it made in person, I knew that I did not have the talent, patience and time...so the LIGHT-BULB went off and I shot my dear friend and customer an email to see if she was up for the challenge! Game ON as she was excited :-D and in the mail went the stamp set to her! Mary Ann has sooooo much
Succulents are very popular right now, and Stampin' Up! is right on trend! The Occasions Catalog just went live yesterday and has SO many fun and beautiful things to play with, including this fabulous succulent set! For today's card I've used some of the Succulent Framelit Dies to create the pretty flowers and trailing blossoms. These trailing blossoms are my favorite dies right now. I've only just started to play with them, but I see lots of fun ahead! I gave the flowers a watercolor wash of Blushing Bride ink as a background. It makes the flowers appear brighter :-)

Good Morning and welcome to my blog today. Today I am sharing a card that we made at our Tuesday Club event this week. I wanted to showcase some male themed sets and I love the Everyday Hero, which isn't actually just for males, it's such a fun set. I made a CASE of a card from the catalogue and also from my crafty friend Mikaela's lovely card here although we didn't make it quite as fancy inside due to time constraints at class. I love this set and think its great for younger and older kids and I will be putting this card aside for my nephew who will be 8 this year. Inside the card got a little treatment and I enjoyed colouring in the windows to make it look like lots of lights are on! I hope you enjoy this card, I am looking forward to making more with this set soon.
