Hi Crafty Friends, Today I am sharing another sneak peeks for KB Riley - Karen Burniston Products July release. Pre-orders are available now and dies will start shipping out in the order received on August 3rd. For my card today I used the new Purse Pop-up die set. As I love Slimline Cards, I decided to see how it would work on a Slimline, my card base is 3 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches when folded and as you can see the purse fits easily inside. I used the Crosshatch - Ovals to create the pop-up base for my purse to be attached to the card base. The only reason my card isn't fully flat is because I used foam tape for the panels on the front of my card. To decorate my card I used the make up dies from the Dolled Up Charm die set which is another of the new dies to be released. I used the rectangle dies from the new Flip Frame Pop-up to add my sentiment at the bottom right hand side of my card. The sentiment is an older stamp I have had in my stash which has long since been retired, but works perfectly with the purse. For the front of my card I used the scallop rectangle & the "Love You" words from the Pop & Swap Pop-up die set. The stitched rectangles are from the Flip Frame Pop-up. I added the perfume, nail polish and lipstick pieces which are all from the Dolled Up Charms die set. Supplies: For your shopping convenience, all products are linked below. I am not a purse girl..or a shoe girl...or a "gotta have the latest" kinda girl. I love my oldest, best fitting jeans and a good old white t-shirt (with a really cute premier necklace, of course). Don't get me wrong, I do love to get dressed up once in a while, but day-to-day, give me denim and sneakers and I'm good to go. So why I locked into this little album when I saw it, I have no idea. I didn't even have an immediate vision, like I usually do, about how I would create with it. But I bought it. And it has been staring at me for 2 months. So, I decided to take some paper, some embellishments, and this, ONLY this, adorable transparent purse album to a crop -- which means, of course, that I was now forced to do something with it. Oh my goodness! What took me so long! How fun is this? And it's the next Artsy Albums kit! Yep, all the cute paper and embellishments from My Mind's Eye and this super cute Maya Road "purse" album with 8 pages tucked inside! So, stay tuned. Over the next few days, more pictures will be posted and the Mini Album Kit will be posted in my shop at www.artsyalbums.shop. As always, thanks so much for stopping by. Happy Wednesday to you! I hope your day is going well. I had a chance to play upstairs in my craft corner this morning...so...my day is off to a great start! I recently stumbled across a great challenge blog.... Birthday Sundaes. Every project must have "birthday wording" on it somewhere...Happy Birthday, Celebrate, etc. My birthday card stash is getting low and I had some time this morning...sooooo... Recipe... * Paper - DCWV - The Sweet Stack * Purse - "Kate's ABC's" cut at 2 3/4 inches. I used Rangers "Worn Lipstick" ink and a gel pen. The button is a tiny, brown brad and a few pearls make nice centers for the flowers. *White mat - Nestabilities "Labels 11" - I cut 2 layers and used pop dots for some dimension. The top layer was run through my Cuttlebug using the Textile Textures folder. *Sentiment - "Shopaholic" set from Pink By Design *Top Corners - I cut 2 triangles and used a Martha Stewart punch on the bottom edge. *Pom Pom ribbon was purchased at Michael's I love the pom-poms! Close up of that cute little purse! Ok, that's it for now...time to join the "real world" and get started helping Emma with some homework and trying to figure out what's for supper. Until next time,
Years and years ago, when I was in YW, I can specifically remember those leaders who personally remembered & recognized my birthday. I know that is weird but honestly, if you are with these girls 2 x a week for 2 years, it's nice to take them a little token on their birthday. We do recognize our YW the Sunday before or after there birthday during the opening exercises of YW but I wanted to do something small for each of them that I could deliver to them at home on their birthday. Well, the other day I was at the dollar store for something else...(what else is new...I'm always at the dollar store for something) and I came across these cute little purses. I know they are cheap BUT they are perfect for the YW to use as scripture bags or make up bags when they go to camp. Anyway, I picked them up for each of my girls that have a birthday in the next year. I fill it with whatever their favorite snack is and deliver it to them at their house on their birthday. It's a very small token but I think it's kind of fun.
Here is a project I have been working on that I got from Becky Roberts blog which you can find here . I had so much fun making this an...
Ok, so this is a day late, I'M SO SORRY, but I did surprise you last night so I think that makes up for it. Again, not an easy cupcake to find, but I think this one will do, a one of a kind Vera Bradley cupcake, how cute! Ashley P. has been wanting the VB tote bag forever so just incase you didn't get it for you Bday, here it is in cupcake form. I hope you had a great day!
This is a fun idea to help review the Primary Program songs. Put several zoo animals around the room with a song on the back. You can have TP binoculars for each child (or just the ones you call up). Play like 'I Spy' and read animal facts about an animal. Have the children decide which animal you are describing and then have them go find the animal. Sing a song that is on the back. To make it more fun, you can sing it like that animal. Ex: Sing LOUD like a LION, STRETCH your necks while you sing like a GIRAFFE, make a TRUNK like an ELEPHANT, JUMP up and down like a KANGAROO, etc... Here is a PDF of the animal facts that they can guess the animal from. ~iheartprimarymusic

Hi Bloggers. Here's today's card - Another easy peasy card! For the background, I stamped the Creative Expressions Wrought Iron Corner Stamp in the top right-hand corner of a piece of Milk Card using Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations My Garden Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Victorian Velvet. I stamped the Rose Blossom Purse using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Stately Circles and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet. I coloured in the roses with a mix of Rose Hue Mica Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Circus Brights Mica Spray Set and Pearlescent Mica Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Metallics Mica Spray Set. I coloured in the leaves using Summer Green Mica Powder from the Crcus Brights Mica Spray Set. I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Rose Blossom Purse using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fancy Postage Edge and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet. I assembled the card as shown adding some Cream Pearls to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pastel PVA in Pastel Pink around the edges. Thanks for stopping by. Julia.
