Hi friends! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project and I think it's paws-itively adorable! I created a paw print shaped mini album using the Pretty Kitty collection and an acrylic album that I made. It's purr-fect for photos of your sweet cat or ... tweak it a bit with the Doggone Cute collection for a dog! 💕 To start, I created the shaped album with a Doodlebug cutting file (link below) and white acrylic. However, you could easily use white card stock instead. I cut one of the paw print shapes out twice for the two covers. Then, created an internal offset with my Silhouette machine to cut out the pink "Backyard Bunch" paper. Next, I cut the oval and circles out of white card stock. Then, the really fun part ... the embellishing!! I added lots of amazing stickers from the Pretty Kitty shadowbox kit and a few Purr-fect Pals sprinkles (links below). This was so fun filling in all the spaces with the enamel dots, colorful flowers, and those little green leaves! Oh ... seriously. This may be my favorite mini album cover everrrrrr! I love their little kitty faces, those fresh pretty colors, and the shine of the enamel sprinkles! Ahhhh, so much texture and so ... much ... cuteness!! Now for the inside ... I added a fun mix of patterned papers and photo mats to each page. To create the mats, I used a 3.5" circle punch for the white and my Cameo machine to cut the 3.75" border mats. As cute as these lil kitties are ... you could swap out the die cuts for the Doggone Cute collection and create a paw shaped mini album for your sweet pup's photos. Either way, it works! I added a cute journaling spot for a name, birthdate, adoption day, weight, eye color, or any other detail you want to save about your favorite little friend. And speaking of favorite ... isn't that floral paper gorgeous? I used it in my 12x12 May Calendar Page and I LOVE it! Yeah, I'll be hoarding that one for sure. This mini is perfect for pictures of your wonderfully spoiled furbaby. If you have more than one pet, you could make a mini for each. Or simply add them all to one album. It also makes an amazing gift for any pet parent. I hope this gives you lots of fun inspiration and another idea for using the shadowbox kits. Hi friends! Today, I'm sharing a cute honey & bee themed project I made for Lori Whitlock's blog. I used one of her brand new cutting files called Honey Jar card (links below) and turned it into a mini album. I love making shaped minis and can turn almost anything into one ... including a fantastic jar shaped card! 💛 I started with the cutting file base. Using black card stock, I cut the shape out 3 times. Then, instead of folding the pieces along the center score line to make the card, I cut along the line to make 2 pieces. That gave me 6 pieces (or pages) total but, I actually only used 5 of them for my album. Once I had the black base pages cut out, I created an internal offset in my Silhouette software. I used the offset to cut out 10 cute pattern papers to layer on the base pages. I chose pretty pattern papers from the 6x6 pad in Lori's new Echo Park Bee Happy Collection (links below). I love how all of the patterns look layered together when the album is fanned out :) Lori's Nested Scallop circles (links below) make great photo mats. I punched out 2.5" round circles for inside the scallop shape. Perfect for some of your favorite pictures. Then, I embellished each page with stickers and die cuts from the Bee Happy Collection. This adorable bee / honey theme is so wonderfully generic, you could use this mini for photos of ... Family Friends / best friend Everyday photos Birthday Gardening Your pet A farmer's market A tea party A bridal or baby shower This would also make a bee-utiful handmade gift for: Mother's Day filled with pictures of the littles or grandlittles Birthday New baby - this would make a sweet little brag book! Hi Everyone! A new album dedicated to your own personal journey. Document YOU for a change! Happy Wednesday everyone! Today, I'm super excited to share my latest fall pocket album project that uses the beautiful Simple Stories collection called Forever Fall. I hope this gives you some fun inspiration for your autumn photos! The colors in this collection are a little different. A hint of pink and blue are combined with the traditional fall colors of orange, brown, and cinnamon. It's fresh and so pretty. The pictures of my son and his adorable family worked perfectly in this easy, pocket style album. I used my HP Sprocket Plus printer to print the 2.3"x3.4" self-adhesive photos. I love this photo size for pocket albums. One of the 4x6 horizontal cards in this fall collection has a circle in the center. So, I decided to add a sweet picture of my granddaughter to it by using a 3.5" circle punch. I used some 3x4 elements cards on this page and added a few photos and stickers. These pages look great and they were SO simple! I had to add a great little pocket to my album so I used the 4x6 pumpkin spice elements card on the front. The pocket is perfect for a pretty journaling card and more photos. I love the tiny floral in the background! I used several Forever Fall chipboard die cuts on this page and trimmed down one of the 4x6 vertical elements cards to fit the 4x4 pocket. I love the way these pages turned out. Happy Friday everyone! Today, I've added a new mini album to the shop with a super cheerful, bohemian hippie vibe that I adore! It's titled "Be Happy" and it's filled with sunshine, butterflies, flowers, and rainbows. This feel-good scrapbook is sure to put a smile on your face and it's great for just about any type of photo! It looks amazing with the Boho Sunshine paper collection I chose. Oh yeah, I'm loving this! The whole color palette feels like summer with lemon yellow, peach, coral, mint green, tangerine, and a soft pink. There are pretty papers, lots of positive words, and "groovy" embellishments. I also added a little sparkle here and there throughout the album with some greenish blue glitter dots. I mean ... an album this cheerful just HAD to have them! Go ahead and print lots of fun photos for this because, inside there are 20 pages that include 3 fold-out pages, 2 pockets, 4 super fun flippies, and space for at least 60 pictures! Here is one of the fold-outs that's also a really useful pocket. Perfect for memorabilia, invitations, notes, postcards, tickets, recipes, or extra photos. I love all the positive sayings ... Happy Memorial Day everyone! Today, I'm sharing my latest Simple Stories Design Team Project. I made an album that highlights my life this year and added everything from time spent with family and friends, to trips and celebrations. I also wanted to include my spiritual side with prayers, bible study notes, etc. so ... the new Faith Collection was perfect. I designed it with a 6x8 Simple Stories binder in navy. On the cover, I layered white card stock with 12x12 and 6x8 papers. The title "Hope, Faith, and Miracles" is a 3x4 elements card and it was perfect. Especially since we welcomed a new little miracle into our family last year! I really like incorporating the 4x6 vertical page protectors into my Sn@p albums ... it allows me to include extra journaling spots, photos, and the wonderful 4x6 element cards. Our little miracle doesn't look too happy in this photo, lol. 😉 I make a lot of flip cards (aka flippies!) and pockets in my albums. I think it makes the album more interesting and it helps me get more photos and journaling on my pages. I love this pretty pocket page. I added a large card to it that can be used for a photo, journaling, or as I did ... prayer notes. This "pray" sticker is from the cardstock sticker pack. These packs are great. They have letters, numbers, tabs, icons, and small captions that are perfect for smaller spaces like mini albums and planners. Here are photos from a recent trip my husband and I took to Greenville, SC. We went on a Segway tour of the city. If you've never done one, you should! It's lots of fun and pretty easy after a few minutes of practice. For Mother's Day we visited my in-laws in Chattanooga. I usually don't take tons of photos on weekend trips, so my Sn@p album pockets are perfect for documenting the highlights. The chipboard globe in the Faith collection reminds me of travel .... so cute! What can I say ... this little sweetness has my heart! Having a granddaughter has been one of the biggest joys in my life. I'm sure when I look back on this album in the future most of the photos will be of her, lol! Hi Bella friends! I'm back with a new mini album to share with you. For this one, I used a combination of several fun, and oh so colorful collections ... Splash Zone, Bella Besties and Squeeze the Day. I started with a white chipboard album by 49 & Market and I drew inspiration for the cover from the chipboard leaves, flowers and the colorful stem of the pineapple. The striped paper from Squeeze the Day added the perfect "splash" of color to compliment these pieces. One of my favorite things about Bella is that everything coordinates. On the page below, I used three different collections to create a fun pocket page ... the background is Bella Besties, the top of the pocket is a Plaid/Dotty print and the bottom is from Splash Zone. (Gulf is my favorite Bella color! What's yours?) Actually I lied. I have two favorite Bella colors, Gulf and Punch :) There's that stripe again ... I need to get some more sheets of that paper! I absolutely love it, and doesn't it look great with all the fun embellies? I always add pockets in my albums ... partly because I like extra space for tucking in photos and journaling, but also because it gives me an opportunity to use several patterns together. Happy Friday! It's time for another NEW album and this pretty mini is titled The Book of Us. I've added SO many fun elements to this scrapbook ... it's one of the most interactive albums I've created in a long time. There are tons of flaps, fold-outs, flippies, a waterfall card, and pockets. So ... not only is it fun to make, but it's just as much fun for someone to flip through! Hello everyone! Today, I'm sharing a really cute waterfall album and the step-by-step tutorial on how to make it. I wanted mine to have a colorful camping theme so I used Doodlebug's Great Outdoors collection. However, you could use any paper line you want and customize the album for your needs. I love a great waterfall album. This one is 6"x8" and I think it looks beautiful with the different colors and patterns layered down the front. I added a pretty blue band with a magnetic closure to keep the pages secure. I added 14 pages (7 double-sided) and each page has room for photos, journaling or decorative embellishments. Hmmm, it's possible that I used every single 12x12 pattern paper in this collection, lol! So many cute prints! I added 4 flippies - 2 are in the picture above. You can tuck a photo behind the "Gone Camping" piece, then document all your adventures on the inside where it opens up to a long journaling card. To embellish, I used die cuts from the Odds and Ends, stickers from the This and That and a few of the mini icons. (All the product links are listed below.) By changing the collection, this album could be used for new baby pics, a birthday, winter fun, traveling, summer, any holiday, or a more generic theme with flowers or geometric prints. Whatever theme you choose, this makes a beautiful keepsake or ... a really special handmade gift for someone else. Below are the instructions, the product links AND a video flip through. Enjoy! Waterfall Album Tutorial Supplies needed: 1 piece of chipboard -- (a) 6" x 8" 2 pieces of pattern card stock for chipboard base -- (b) 7" x 9" and (c) 5.75" x 7.75" 7 pieces of white card stock -- (d) 5.75" x 4.75" scored at .5" to get 5.75" x 4.25" 1 piece of white card stock for band -- (e) 1.75" x 7.25", scored at 1" to get 1.75" x 6.25" 2 pattern strips to cover band -- (f) 1.5" x 6" 15 pattern pieces -- (g) 5.5" x 4" 1 piece of white card stock -- (h) 5.75" x 4" 2 magnets, positive and negative sides 1. Score pattern paper (b) in .5" on all 4 sides to create an inner space that measures 6.25" x 8.25". Trim corners as shown. 2. Adhere chipboard (a) in the center of the score lines and add score tape to the 4 edges. Adhere the four sides down on the chipboard base. 3. Adhere another pattern piece (c) over the exposed chipboard. 4. Adhere the 1" side of the white card stock band to the bottom of the chipboard base so that the fold of the band is 1/8" up from the bottom edge of the chipboard. 5. Cover the band with white card stock (h). Adhere the waterfall pages to the base. Apply adhesive to the 1/2" scored and folded tab of the 1st page and adhere the page to the bottom of the base. Now working your way up, adhere the next scored and folded tab just above the previous page until all 7 pages are adhered. 6. Add one side of the magnet to the inside of the band, and the other side to the center of the top waterfall page as shown. 7. Adhere pattern paper (g) to the front and back of each white card stock page. Add pattern paper (f) to the front and back of the band. 8. Embellish pages as desired. Are you ready for some football?! With three men in my house, I have to be! It's my turn over on the Doodlebug Design blog today, and this week, the design team is playing with "Touchdown" ... an awesome addition to Doodlebug's new sports collections. I decided to keep this album fairly simple. Perfect for photos from pee wee ball to high school. Great for coaches, super bowl parties, or tail gating....this collection will help you save all your football memories! I combined Doodlebug's Touchdown collection with a chipboard album from Bo Bunny. I layered papers from the 6x6 paper pad on the cover, along with some stars from the die-cut pack and lots of wonderful stickers. I also added an epoxy football sprinkle over the football on the paper just to give the cover a little pop of fun and dimension. For this last page, I kept it simple with a football laces border cut from my Silhouette machine. Aren't the paper patterns perfect!? I love the football texture pattern, the 6x6 football field with the numbered yard lines, and the helmets. You'll have tons of fun with this collection if you're a football fan! Happy crafting!

Hey guys! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter with family and friends. I'm guessing you have some great photos from the weekend. Yay! Time to print and scrap those memories!! Today's project is a simple 2-page layout idea that's perfect for your holiday pictures. Take a look ... I designed these with paper from PhotoPlay's Hop To It Collection. Then, I added lots of embellishments from six different Doodlebug collections - Easter Parade, Hoppy Easter, Hippity Hoppity, Simply Spring, Sunkissed, and Easter Express (links below). For both layouts, I started with a sheet of Doodlebug's textured card stock in bubblegum, then layered white card stock on top. On this first page, I added space for 2 photos using pretty 12x12 PhotoPlay prints. They're perfect spots for pictures of an Easter egg hunt, family gatherings, the Easter Bunny, baskets filled with goodies, a brunch or dinner, and the family dressed in their Sunday best. Check out the cute Sunsational Shaker-pops in the upper corner. The little Easter baskets, the egg hunt sign, and the Easter title are all icon stickers from the Hoppy Easter Collection. And ... the butterfly and the sweet chick are a Doodle-pops called Beak-A-Boo from the Hippity Hoppity Collection. I used the Alphabet Soup stickers in swimming pool for the year. The branch and birdhouse are icon stickers from the Easter Parade Collection. And the sweet little bird is a mini Doodle-pops called Blue Jays from the Easter Express Collection. I added the green grass washi tape behind the baskets. It's from the Sunkissed collection. How cute! The next layout is filled with more flowers and butterflies and I added space for 3 more photos. There's even a little lined journaling spot that's perfect for names, the date, event, location, etc. Look at the rainbow scalloped border sticker I added below the photo mat. I thought the pretty colors were perfect on this page. It's from the Hoppy Easter This and That sticker sheet. I added more chicks from the Beak-A-Boo Doodle-pops, washi tape, and icon stickers (eggs, sign, and Bunny title from the Hoppy Easter Collection). That leaping bunny with the sweet smile might be my favorite. Here's what the 2 layouts look like side-by-side. I think they turned out pretty cute! AND!!! Today, I have a new mini album to share that's titled "Thankful". It's shaped like a basket and filled with lots of smiling faces and Doodlebug cuteness! I created this with the Farmer's Market collection and the Doodlebug cutting file titled Veggie Garden -Veggie Bushel (product links below). I love all the colorful die cuts and those little white flower blossoms on the cover! Inside, I added matching die cuts to the backside of those on the front. They're all from the Veggie Garden Odds and Ends and with so many great pieces in the package, you'll have plenty to play with! I layered a different 12x12 print on top of the white card stock pages. They're bright, colorful, & perfect for fall. Each page has a circular mat that can be used for photos or journaling. To make these, I used a 3" scalloped circle punch and a 2.5" circle punch. This album would be wonderful filled with photos of family and friends, fall events, farm or farmers market pictures, or your special memories from Thanksgiving. What about ... giving this as a gift and inside, you could list all the reasons why you're thankful to have that person in your life. I love that! This album would also make an amazing little gratitude journal. Each round mat could be used for writing. This is a great way to create the habit of focusing more on the positive aspects of your life. I am "so thankful" for Doodlebug and being able to share this project with you. It looks amazing with the Boho Sunshine paper collection I chose. Oh yeah, I'm loving this! The whole color palette feels like summer with lemon yellow, peach, coral, mint green, tangerine, and a soft pink. There are pretty papers, lots of positive words, and "groovy" embellishments. I also added a little sparkle here and there throughout the album with some greenish blue glitter dots. I mean ... an album this cheerful just HAD to have them! Happy Friday! Today, I have a new scrapbook called Where The Wild Things Are and it's filled with butterflies, ferns and all things found in nature. It's perfect for photos of any outdoor adventure like a summer vacation, time spent at the lake, hiking in the woods, boating, and enjoying the fresh air. To purchase the instructions for this scrapbook visit: Where the Wild Things Are Instructions I designed and cut this beautiful 6x8 inch album out of wood (perfect for a nature album) and used a sturdy, heavy-weight cream card stock for the inside pages. I always use high quality materials in my albums so they're sure to last as long as your memories do, lol! I used the Simple Stories Vintage Lakeside Collection and I love how organic and natural it feels. The papers have images of leaves, mushrooms, butterflies, ducks, fish, moose, bears, plaids, and stripes. The colors are earthy and include green, brown, terracotta, teal, and sky blue. This album could be used for lots of different photos but I thought it would be perfect for a summer trip to the lake. Ahhhh, so peaceful. Time to unplug from our busy lives and enjoy Mother Earth. Add pictures of the cabin your staying at, the sunrise, and the beautiful views from the porch. Take a morning hike and get photos of the waterfall, streams, changing foliage, and selfies with your hiking buddy. Hi friends! Today, I'm sharing a cute honey & bee themed project I made for Lori Whitlock's blog. I used one of her brand new cutting files called Honey Jar card (links below) and turned it into a mini album. I love making shaped minis and can turn almost anything into one ... including a fantastic jar shaped card! 💛 I started with the cutting file base. Using black card stock, I cut the shape out 3 times. Then, instead of folding the pieces along the center score line to make the card, I cut along the line to make 2 pieces. That gave me 6 pieces (or pages) total but, I actually only used 5 of them for my album. Once I had the black base pages cut out, I created an internal offset in my Silhouette software. I used the offset to cut out 10 cute pattern papers to layer on the base pages. I chose pretty pattern papers from the 6x6 pad in Lori's new Echo Park Bee Happy Collection (links below). I love how all of the patterns look layered together when the album is fanned out :) Lori's Nested Scallop circles (links below) make great photo mats. I punched out 2.5" round circles for inside the scallop shape. Perfect for some of your favorite pictures. Then, I embellished each page with stickers and die cuts from the Bee Happy Collection. This adorable bee / honey theme is so wonderfully generic, you could use this mini for photos of ... Family Friends / best friend Everyday photos Birthday Gardening Your pet A farmer's market A tea party A bridal or baby shower This would also make a bee-utiful handmade gift for: Mother's Day filled with pictures of the littles or grandlittles Birthday New baby - this would make a sweet little brag book!
