Pink is my absolute most favorite color, so I wanted to design a card made with the Layering Alphabet dies in various shades of pink. I decided on a birthday card with the word "yay!" I had a lot of fun designing this card. It not only uses my favorite...

Take a look at some of the first cards I made with them: A rainbow of thanks! So bright and cheery! The negatives of the letters. Also cute! Just the die cut letters. Oh, the possibilities! Stamped letters. So quick and easy! More stamped letters, colored with Stampin' Write Markers. I need to try one with Stampin' Blends, too! It's that time again, the Video Blog Hop team is back to share Masculine creations and inspiration with you this month. I'm going to say,..... Masculine is my nemesis, flowers and bling are more my thing (oh that rhymes, I'm a poet, haha). I don't know how many times I sat down to create for this and drew a bit fat 100% blank, and then when I did have an idea I couldn't figure out how to incorporate my personal DSP challenge, needless to say this card was a long time in the "creative making" and my sanity was wearing thin. I don't know how, but suddenly Dude! popped in my head, maybe I was talking to our Husky, Dave - he is a dude (totally has a mind of his own, and does things according to the way of Dave, never a dull moment). My Lined Alphabet Bundle was still sitting on my desk unopened, now I had the perfect reason! I used a "B - side" of the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper to fulfil my DSP challenge, and my favourite technique - masking to add the sentiment from Around the Corner, here's a video tutorial of how I completed all the elements for the card. Be sure to visit all the team and see their wonderful creations and tips they have to share, you are currently visiting Sue Vine - Miss Pinks Craft Spot, to keep hopping around see the list below to see who is up next. So, as you know, I've been stamping with the Layering Alphabet a lot, lately. I have to admit, I'm totally and completely ADDICTED to it! Once I get it out, I keep thinking of more ideas and simply can't put it down. I did a demonstration with this set at...
#1 Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Layering Alphabet Dies Tips and Hints Well today I don't have a tutorial but instead I have some tips and tricks
CCEE1303 Joanne Grzelak gave the challenge this week at CCEE Stampers to make a CAS (clean and simple) sympathy card. I do love making a CAS card and ending with a clean, crisp look. I chose black and white which I think gives it an elegant look. My image is Stampin'Up! Thoughts and Prayers and the sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps, Oopsy Daisy. I added a couple of score lines with the Scor-Pal and some Kaiser pearls in black. We hope you'll join us and let us see your sympathy card. I know I really should make more of this type card to have on hand. I'm entering my card into the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #5-use black and white and, if you like, a splash of color
Hi there, how's the weekend going for you? It rained here all day Saturday and there even was a tornado that touched down about 2 miles from our house. Happy to report no one was hurt, but quite a few trees and power line were taken down. They said winds where 65-80 miles per hour.
Hi Crafters! Today I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Crew with a Technique themed hop. I thought I'd show you the notebooks & name tags I made for the girls who attended my recent Stamp Camp. I asked them all what they're favourite colours were & custom made them. I used the Layering Alphabet dies to cut all the letters & I've used both positive & negative die cuts. All names have been matted on Basic Black cardstock. Koren likes red, pink & purple, so I've used Poppy Parade Textured Weave Ribbon, with Gorgeous Grape & Flirty Flamingo cardstock. Sandra likes light green & purple, so I've used Gorgeous Grape Mini Stripe Ribbon with Gorgeous Grape & Soft Sea Foam cardstock. Thea likes green, so I've used Call Me Clover Grosgrain Ribbon with Call Me Clover & Shaded Spruce cardstock. Sarah likes blue, so I've used Blueberry Bushell Grosgrain Ribbon with Blueberry Bushell & Balmy Blue cardstock. Jenny likes turquoise & purple, so I've used Coastal Cabana Ribbon (Tea Room Combo Pack) with Coastal Cabana & Gorgeous Grape cardstock. Bronny likes mauve & purple, so I've used Gorgeous Grape Mini Striped Ribbon with Gorgeous Grape & Highland Heather cardstock. In order to make my names, I've cut the cardstock to 7.5cm squares & then lined up the top of the letter die with the top of the cardstock & centered in horizontally. I found the letters were all straight as long as the top of the die & the top of the cardstock were lined up. When using the negatives, I found I had to add a bit more cardstock underneath for the wider letters like 'h' & 'n'. I also needed a spare square to either start off the pattern or end it. For the positives, you start with the spare square at the end & place your letters, working backwards, ending with the first letter of the name. For the negatives, you start with the spare square & then place your letters going forwards, ending with the last letter of the name. I've used Adhesive Sheets to stick the names onto the Notebooks. I've also used the Glitter Enamel Dots & the retired gold bulldog clips, but you could use the Gold Library Clips. You are currently visiting Jessie Holton in Australia. Please make your way around the blog hop to see a bunch more amazing techniques! Here's a few of the products used today! Happy Friday everyone and welcome! It's been a busy week as have given my craft room a bit of a make over but am still finishing off a few decorating details so I hope to have the odd photo for you by next week:-) In the meantime, we have a fabulous and versatile Colour Challenge at Just Add Ink this week for you suggested by Di. As always, our lovely and talented design team have created awesome cards to inspire you so I hope you can take a moment to pop on over and take a look and join us. I used the colours this week to create a card for a favourite Nephew's birthday. He got an electric guitar recently so the guitar from Epic Celebrations was a given :-) Here it's embossed in silver onto black card stock. The letters and angled design is all thanks to the new Layered Alphabet Bundle. Starting with cutting the appropriate letters from card stock, they were then stamped using Playful Backgrounds and then the letters were stamped with Versamark and embossed in white. I started the die cut letters with the "r" and left plenty of room on the left side that was later trimmed down. To work out how much space each letter needed, I laid the cut letter over the next piece of card and continued this process with each letter. Card stock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist, Pacific Point, Granny Apple Green Inks: Versamark, Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist, Pacific Point, Granny Apple Green Stamps: Layered Alphabet, Epic Celebrations (Saleabration), Playful Backgrounds Accessories: Big Shot, White and Silver Embossing Powder, Metallic Sequins Assortment Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you can take a moment to pop on over to Just Add Ink and see all the fabulous inspiration from our lovely design team and I look forward to seeing what you will create with this fun colour combo too! Happy stamping until next time, Jan

I have team members in 29 states now (so fun!) but quite a few of my original demo friends still live around my area, so once a month we get together to stamp and work on our team charity project, Honor Flight (more about that next month!) It's always a fantastic evening of catching up, squealing over the new catalog, and trying out brand new products and techniques. I got some really great sample swaps and Make N Takes this month--sharing a few of my favorites while I'm out of commission with my sprained hand. Spot any NEW products??? Woot...
I'm really excited to share today's card with you. This idea has been floating around in my brain for a while now, and I had some time to put my idea down on paper. It came out just as I had imagined - even better. It all starts with

Its Bruno here taking over Kylies blog again today. Recently, we shared a project made for our friends who are having twins using the Lined Alphabet Bundle. I wanted to share ANOTHER project using this bundle. This bundle is SOOOOO cool! So versatile. You can make any sentiment, word, name - ANYTHING! And, you can use any colour, paper - ANYTHING! Its so versatile! Here are the colours I used for todays project; Blueberry Bushel Grapefruit Grove Pineapple Punch These are three of the five 2018-2020 In-Colours. And, here is the project I ended up with; Full Disclosure - the result is NOT what I planned! I started with whisper white card stock and cut out all of the letters THANKS using that. Next, I stamped the letters onto each of these pieces using Blueberry Bushel, Grapefruit Grove and Pineapple Punch. Then, I used some sponge daubers and added some graded shading to the pieces - I really like how it turned out! I was about to stick it down and I placed the letters in order just before I stuck down and I actually liked how it looked (ie. not aligned). So, I decided I would stick it down like that! I stuck the word down to a piece of Blueberry Bushel. I added some Grapefruit Grove twine to the project and then using dimensionals, I stuck down to a Crumb Cake card base. I wanted to add some clear enamel dots, so I got the Glitter enamel dots and peeled off the colour (this also peels off the adhesive). I used some fine tip glue and stuck these down - i think it gives a nice look to the project. If you want to add any of the products from this project to your collection, click on the shopping links below; Note: Australian Residents Only Lined Alphabet Photopolymer Bundle $249.25 Blueberry Bushel A4 Cardstock $14.75 Crumb Cake A4 Card Stock $14.75 Whisper White A4 Card Stock $17.00 Grapefruit Grove Classic Stampin' Pad $13.00 Blueberry Bushel Classic Stampin' Pad $13.00 Pineapple Punch Classic Stampin' Pad $13.00 Nature's Twine $15.75 Sponge Daubers $9.00 Glitter Enamel Dots $12.25 Thanks so much for stopping by today. Often when I sit down to stamp it is to create an item or a product with someone else in mind. It is very rare that I will sit down and create something for myself. I was beginning to feel like I was getting creative block and decided to take some time to make something for myself. I already knew that I wanted to create a piece of art that would fit in a picture frame and focus on being kind. Using the Layered Alphabet Framelits and the Line Alphabet stamp set, I was able to stamp and die cut the word "kindness". This on it's own certainly wasn't enough to remind myself of the message I wished to think of and practice each day. As I have an abundance of old stamps sets, I pulled out one of my favourites - Pursuit of Happiness. Since I wanted to keep the colours relatively soft I went with Smoky Slate. A few more stamp sets were used including Incredible Like You to help complete this simple Home Decor piece. As I spend a good portion of my time at work, I felt it was the perfect place to display my frame so each day I am reminded to think before I act or speak and to remember to be kind. We never know another persons struggles and a simple hello or smile can make all the difference in the world to them. As Ellen Degeneres likes to say, Be kind to one another! Until next time. Margaret
