In the previous blog post, I mentioned Stampin' Up!'s Country Woods Suite Collection and that it includes the "Country Birdhouse" bundle. Well . . . it also includes another gorgeous bundle - "Country Flowers". I love, love, love the colors in the card that I'm sharing today, which features some of the dies and images from "Country Flowers". Speaking of dies . . . I seem to be making a habit of die-cutting a handful of shapes from white cardstock and stamping them after they've been cut. Sometimes I just do my best to line up a stamp with a die-cut shape, and then there are times when I go to a teensy extra step. The photo above shows the scrap of white cardstock that I used to cut the floral images for my card. This scrap is now kept in the stamp case (along with the dies) to be used again and again as a template for accurately stamping the coordinating images. I should mention that I always use a stamp positioning tool for this method in case I need to stamp the images more than once. The photo above shows the template on the tool. On the acrylic part of the tool (which you can't see in the photo), I have used the template to line up the respective stamps. The die-cut shapes are placed back (on the template) into the spaces where they were cut. The stamps are inked and then stamped onto the die-cut shapes as you can see in the above photo. When removed from the template, the die-cut and perfectly stamped shapes (see photo below) are ready to be colored. I should use this method all the time because it always feels like a win to have a perfect border around die-cut shapes. Don't they look great? Can you guess what makes them even better? That's right . . . color! Below is a photo of the finished card: The images were colored with alcohol markers. I played around with mixing some colors to get the dirty/aged texture on the gray and green pots, which I think gave them some much needed depth. For the stool, I adhered a scrap of "Country Woods" designer paper to a piece of cardstock prior to die-cutting it, and that turned out to be good thing because the stool was nice and sturdy--and the embossed texture of the card behind it didn't get pushed through the DSP when all the layers were assembled. The floor of the card is also from the "Country Woods" designer paper collection. Now . . . those deeply embossed dots? They were created with the brand new "Dotted Circle" 3D embossing folder. The Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins were a perfect finishing touch for this card. My cardstock colors are Lemon Lolly and Bubble Bath. I'm really excited about this fantastic suite of products! My plan is to prepare plenty of stamped and die-cut images that I can work on coloring whenever and wherever. Then . . . all of the time-consuming elements will be complete and ready to land on some cards. This suite of products is probably going to end up on your wishlist. :-) Have a stampin' good day!
Wow Country Woods Suite Collection. The products in this suite are amazing!! From woods grains to lace patterns combining beautifully.

Hello stamping friends. Welcome to Funky Folds Blog Hop #3. We are a community for like minded paper crafters who love to make cards with funky/fancy/fun folds and to share our ideas. Funky actually means “modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way”. We are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait of landscape style cards. Each and every month the blog hops will have and 'anything goes' theme as long as your card has some type of 'funky' fold. I've made for you today a Star Explosion Pop-Up card using products from the beautiful Stampin' Up! Country Woods Suite found in the new 2024 - 2025 Annual Catalogue. I've used the tutorial and measurements from Sam Calcott at Mixed Up Craft. When the card is closed it looks fairly inconspicuous but when you take off the belly band and open the card up that is where the magic happens. Here on the front I've layered Basic White, Pool Party and the Country Woods DSP for the front of the card and then I've used Misty Moonlight for the belly band and added DSP, Ribbon, stamped images and die-cuts using products from the Country Woods Suite. On the inside is a scored centre panel that all folds in neatly together when the card is folded closed. When opened the centre circle piece pops up and stands up a little off the card for that added element and dimension. As well as using the Country Woods DSP I've also adde some of the Country Lace DSP to layer on some of the panels and used more of the products from the Country Woods suite to embellish the inside. I coloured the floral images in using Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers and used the same floral images on the front as what is on the inside to keep that continuity from the outside to the inside. Stampin' Blends Used Flowers - Light Peach Pie, Light & Dark Petal Pink, Light Summer Splash, Light & Dark Pool Party, Light and Dark Boho Blue, Light Balmy Blue, Light Lemon Lolly Leaves - Light & Dark Mossy Meadow Teapot - Light and Dark Gray Granite I've even added some Basic White Panels on the back for you to write your message. This is such a WOW card when you open it. It's one of those cards that you hand deliver to your best crafting friend just so that you can see their reaction to when they open it. I do hope you like my Funky Fold that I've shared with you today. I just love how it turned out especially with the use of the Country Woods Suite products. This is another amazing suite that I've fallen in love with. Next up is Bronwyn Eastley from Tasmania, Australia with her Funky Fold. I can't wait to see what she has made for us. Hello there stamping friends! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. Today I'm participating in a blog hop for CASE-ing the Catty, to kick off the new challenge for the week. To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit. And this week we are CASE-ing from the new Mix and Match Section in the Stampin' Up! 2024 - 2025 Annual Catalogue. Found on Pgs. 18 - 21. The Mix & Match Envelopes & Ephemera give you a quick and easy option for crafting that gives you a personalised creative experience as opposed to a kit where you follow step-by-step instructions that guide you though the crafting process. Today I've used the Basic Gray card in the middle above as the basis for my CASE-d card but used the Country Woods Suite for my card as opposed to using the Mix & Match Envelopes & Ephemera. I really loved the layout of the card and CASE-d that for my card, keeping the bones of the design. I've started with a Basic White card base and layered Basic White on that embossed with the beautiful Eyelet 3D Embossing folder. I've turned my piece of cardstock over so the embossing looks indented into the cardstock. I only did this because I added some blending of ink on the other side and did't like it but didn't want to waste the cardstock so I turned it over. Waste not want not right? Ha! Looks good either which way you have the embossing. I've kept the banner piece like the original but this is where things are changed up. I've layered a circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies under the banner and over top added some stips of Country Lace DSP and the leaves and flowers from the Country Flowers Bundle. I've used Stampin' Blends to colour the flowers and also added some smaller flowers from the Country Birdhouse stamp set to the floral cluster. Stampin' Blends Used Flowers - Light Peach Pie, Light and Dark Petal Pink, Light Summer Splash, Light and Dark Pool Party, Light and Dark Boho Blue, Light Balmy Blue Leaves - Light and Dark Gray Granite I've finished the card off with some Mossy Meadow leaves, Linen Thread, some Basic Gray Pearls, and the Happy Birthday Sentiment. I really love how you can use a card as a basis for your card and it ends up with a completely different look. The beauty of CASE-ing really! There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the CASE-ing the Catty Crew so be sure to make your way around the whole hop to get inspiration from the CTC team. Next up on the hop is fabulous Julia Quinn her Mix & Match CASE. Keep hopping around to see all of the design team’s creations. We would love to have you join us over at our Facebook group to share your creation CASE-ing a project from the 2024 - 2025 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue and join in this weeks challenge. Hello and welcome my friends, My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today, I'll be sharing with you the first colour for Colour Creations blog hop and it's Week 1 with the Art With Heart Team in Australia. It's been a while since my last Colour Creation and I'm so excited to be back here again. The first colour is Peach Pie which is part of the In Color Collection for 2024 - 2026 Stampin' Up! sure know how to create some beautiful new colors for us to play with and they are here with us for the next two years. Now that's exciting! All of the new In Colors come in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as ink, cardstock, ribbon, designer series paper, embellishments, Stampin' Blends and so on. New colours means new Stampin' Up! products to try out from the new Stampin' Up! 2024 -2025 Annual Catalogue and I'll be showing you the Country Flowers bundle (163411) which is part of the Country Woods Suite Collection and you can find it on pages 48 to 51 in the catalogue. Country Flowers bundle (163411) The Country Flowers bundle includes the Country Flowers stamp set and Country Flowers dies. I've been using this bundle now for a couple of my projects and I love it! The stamp images of bunches of flowers, cute flowerpots and a variety of different sentiments for your card making and paper craft. I stamped the images using Basic Gray ink onto Basic White cardstock and coloured in the images using Stampin' Blends in Peach Pie, Smoky Slate and Lost Lagoon. I like to leave white space to create depth when colouring in the images. I also added detailed die-cut images to the background of the coloured in flowers and a couple of fallen leaves to add interest. I wanted to add Peach Pie Glimmer Paper which is from the 2024-26 In Color Glimmer 12" x 12" Specialty Paper (163771) to my card, so I used the scissors die image from the Crafting With You Dies (161225) for some detailed bling! I thought this was lots of fun to my card. To create the sentiment, I actually combined two words together from two different sentiments and stamped them in Basic Gray ink onto Peach Pie paper from the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper (163372). I also used this same Peach Pie paper and layered it under the embossed Basic White cardstock. Then I die-cut out using one of the smaller circular dies from the Spotlight on Nature Dies (163580). To finish off the card I created a cute bow using Peach Pie Bordered Ribbon (163783) by pulling away fine strands from the ribbon and tying it into a delicate bow. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love to hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below. Now for the next blog please visit the very talented Sharon Davern click on the link below. Happy Sunday, everyone! Happy last day of June! Wow, how did that happen?! The Paper Players hostess this week is Anne Marie, and I am filling in for her as she's a little under the weather! But she did come up with this awesome tic-tac-toe grid, since it's the fifth Sunday of the month: First, I have a confession to make....I have TOO many stamps! Seriously! The stamp set I used on this card I have probably had for three or four years and NEVER INKED IT UP! But I remedied that this week, so here we go: I am sure that I was inspired by something my friend Michele made with this set and had to have it...and then it just sat! So anyway, I inked up this little boy, watercolored him in and paper-pieced his little boogie board and put him on a piece of Azure Afternoon striped DSP. The edge of the DSP was diecut with a Penny Black die, and I added a sentiment from the same set; it's from Waffle Flower called Sandy Toes! I only wish they had both the left and right flipflop stamps....it looks like this little guy has two left feet! The tic-tac-toe row that I chose was across the top of stars and/or stripes, bling and blue. Now you're going to have to trust me on the bling, because the only thing I could think of to bling up my card was some Wink of Stella on the sand....I know you can't see it here, but it is very sparkly in real life! My final addition was some retired Wavy Trim. The sketch I used is from FMS: Such a fun sketch! I added a sentiment from the Light the Candles kit---this set of sentiments is awesome! I hope you'll have some fun with our Tic-Tac-Toe grid this week! Share it with us over at the Paper Players blog and check out what the other designers came up with as well! Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy it and be blessed! Project Details—All Products SU! Hello there stamping friends! Welcome, welcome! So good to have you here. I've got a project for you today for the Stampin' Fancy Friday Design Team. This month the challenge is to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) a Fancy Friend. CASEing is where you are inspired by a fellow artists work and then use that as inspiration to make your own project. Use some of the similar elements of the original creation and then change it up with your own personal touch to make it your own. It was so hard to choose one person from all the amazing and talented Artisan Alumni who to CASE. I did narrow it down and I'm CASEing the amazing Stampin' Fancy Friday friend Berdien Weideveld for this month's challenge. Berdien's style is lots of layering, reapeat imagery, a stunning use of DSP, and the use of lots of die-cuts. I'm always WOWed by her creations. They are always so amazing! This is Berdien's original creation! Amazing, right??!! I've CASEd the card on the right. I loved the layout and the repeat imagery so I wanted to keep those two elements and then the rest is changed up to give it a 'Rochelle' look and feel. Today I've used some products from the new Country Woods Suite for a pretty floral card. I've kept to the same layout as Berdien and added the repeat imagery. I've started with a Basic White base and then used the County Woods DSP, Pool Party and the Perennial Postage dies for the base layering. For the repeat stamping and colouring I used the floral image from the Country Flowers Stamp Set. These floral images are meant to be paired with a tea pot or an vintage milk can but I liked it on it's own. I used Stampin' Blends to colour the flowers in the beautiful colours that coordinated with the DSP. Stampin' Blends Used Flowers - Light Peach Pie, Light and Dark Petal Pink, Light Summer Splash, Light and Dark Pool Party, Light and Dark Boho Blue, Light Balmy Blue Leaves - Light and Dark Mossy Meadow. Behind each floral image is the leaves die from the Country Flowers Dies in Mossy Meadow Cardstock and the now retired (so sad) Vellum. I've then finished off the card with some Smoky Slate Pearls that are also part of the Country Woods Suite, and the embossed Happy Birthday from the Country Birdhouse Stamp Set. I do hope that you like my CASE on Berdien's card. Just remember when CASEing start with the initial inspiration of the original project and then really try to change it up to make it your own, with your personal touch. Check out the rest of the CASEd creations and all the different looks that the Stampin' Fancy Friday Design Team has made on the Stampin' Fancy Friday Instagram Account or on the Stampin' Fancy Friday Facebook page. This is where all their creations will be shared throughout the month, so make sure that you are following them to get all of the amazing ideas! Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Stamping!
