Isn't this a happy card? Look at that yellow, and the bright flower. It's my hope that whoever receives this will smile. The sentiment is from The Ton Stamps' Fresh Cut Peonies. This font reminds me fondly of my penmanship class when I was young! You had to make perfect loops on your L's, or you'd get points off. I've always had a penchant for handwriting. I'm surprised the latest brushstroke calligraphy craze hasn't hit me! I used some goodies from a Stampin' Up! scrap bag to help create that flower. The circles (check out the golden circle on top!), scalloped circle and biggest flower layer were all in there, and seemed to go quite well together as a blossom. I added greenery from Spellbinders Foliage, and a few golden sequins. I'm so glad you came by today. You are special, and don't you forget it! :-)

Hello Folks! I'm super excited to share what I created using the Spellbinders APRIL Small Die Of The Month Kit! Here are what the dies from the kit look like: YESSSS! Flowers:)) All the heart eyes from me! I literally DOVE into these beauties. And here are my cards: Did I mention how much fun this small die kit was to play with?! Take a walk with me through my creative process for each card. I started out by cutting allllll the small dies from 110# white cardstock, then set to coloring with Alcohol inks and Ziggy markers. I fussy cut the stems off the leaves, or leaves off the stems:)) and arranged the pretty flowers around the sentiment. Trying out a sentiment inking over die cuts technique from Jennifer McGuire. I layered several small flower cuts with tiny dots from the set, in between each one for more dimension. Moving on to a fairly simple card, I cut the 'die plate' stems out from the lower portion of an A2 sized card front. Then added the flowerhead dies at the top of each stem. I cut extra flowers and stems to extend off the card front panel.on either side Matted the panel with a cheery YELLOW piece of cardstock and cut SEVERAL small dots from the die set and placed them in the center of each flowerhead and added MORE at the top of the panel:)) Stamped the sentiment from Crafty Friends Stamp Set at the bottom and called it finished:) Still working in white: using the small cuts from above and a shaping tools with foam mat, I worked a bit of dimension into the petals and layered them together. The center of each flower is a small circle cut and shaped..they made lovely Paper enamel Dots:) That Blue polka-dot background is from creating a custom stencil with all the circle dies in the APRIL Small Die Of The Month Kit, then inked with Distress inks. The sentiment is from the Artistic Bouquet set at POWER POPPY and embellished with a couple of stips of washi tape. Continued play with the Custom stencil created by cutting the circles from the Small Die Of The Month Kit! :)) I popped a few die cuts onto various inked circles and stamped a sentiment..BOOM Happy EASY little card! ***Hope you enjoyed my creations today! Hello! I’m Jen Kotas from Who Stole My Glitter and I’m happy to be here today to share three cards featuring the Painter’s Garden Collection from Susan Tierney Cockburn. There are five new flower Dies in this collection along with a 3D Embossing Folder. Susan typically colors her flowers with Copic Markers and uses a special cardstock from Spellbinders. I prefer to cut my flower pieces from heavy-weight colored cardstock from Spellbinders. I added detail to the flowers with ink. It’s a time saver but I also love how the cardstock softens as I shape it but doesn’t tear. For detailed instructions on creating the flowers, please visit the Spellbinders YouTube channel. I began by die-cutting all the flower pieces from the Pansy, Carolina Allspice, Zinnia, Bird of Paradise and Gerber Daisy and Ladybugs Etched Dies. Most dies are numbered with how many times you need to cut them. I took the opportunity to cut extras for future projects. Next, I added pigment ink to the leaves and flowers. My intention was to change some colors for detail, not just darken them. Once everything was inked up, I began shaping the leaves. This is generally easier than the flowers as there is no assembly. I shape the flower pieces and then assemble them before adding them to the card. It gives me the opportunity to play around with my design. There are a few exceptions such as the centerpieces for the Zinnias. They were easier to add once everything was in place. To create the cards I embossed Forest, Indigo and Onyx Color Essentials Cardstock with the Bamboo Trellis 3D Embossing Folder. I then cut the panel down to 4” x 5 1/4”. The sentiments from Wonderful Script Sentiments Etched Dies were cut from Gold Mirror Cardstock once and then one of the three background colors twice. I then adhered them together with liquid glue. I adhered the flowers to the panels with liquid glue, using the sentiment only for placement at this point. The leaves were added next, along with any finishing details for the flower centers. I did not worry about flowers hanging off the edges since the card won’t fit in an envelope. I added the sentiments to the panels and then hot foiled the Hello Friend Sentiments Hot Foil Plates on the same colors as the background with Satin Gold Hot Foil Roll. They were cut down to size and adhered with foam strips. The panels were placed on an A2 card base cut from Forest, Indigo and Onyx Color Essentials Cardstocks with foam tape. To finish the cards, I added a ladybug from the Gerber Daisy and Ladybugs Etched Dies set coated with Glaze and Glue. I love the way the dark background colors make the flowers shine on these three cards. The ladybugs add a bit of playfulness to these cards. These are cards that should be given to the most special people in your life. You can see more cards made with Susan’s flowers on my blog, Who Stole My Glitter or visit my Instagram page for more inspiration. Thanks for visiting! Other supplies Distress Oxide Inks, Bearly Arts Precision Glue, Prills, Yellow Paper Flower Pollen.

Hello friends! Today I have a bunch of cards to share all created using dies from the Good Vibes Only collection by Stephanie Low for Spellbinders. I'm a huge fan of Stephanie's art and I had a blast making these cards using her dies and some of my other supplies. I have made these awhile
Die cut flower cards are a great alternative to stamps, especially if you do not have a range of ink. Let's create flower cards with a variety of texture.
I thought I would share with you how I made this flower. I used it on my DT pillow box and card for Heartfelt Creations. It is made using the Arianna Blooms Die HCD 747 and these are the pieces I used from the set. Using white card cut two of the heart doily dies out and one each of the stamens. I chose to make the flower pinky and I used Victorian Velvet Distress Ink apply it with a dauber that sits on your finger for application. Ink around the edges of both die cuts Now shape each petal around something round. A pen can do it doesn't have to be a fancy tool. Just curve it round so the petal has shape. For the lower die cut of the flower gently shape the petals. But for the inner die cut make them more defined so they stand proud. I have tried to capture this in the pic below. Using the same ink as on the petals Ink both sides of the stamens. Glitter (I use glitter glue) the inside of the stamens and leave to dry. Glitter the edges of the petals and leave to dry. When dry shape the stamens in your fingers and adhere together layered up. Make sure they sit so that the stamens are between each other on the layers. Adhere your flower layers together and adhere the stamens to the centre of the flower. Adhere a pearl gem to the centre and put glitter glue around the edge of the pearl. Your flower is now complete and can be used on your project ! Hope you like it !! Happy crafting !!

Hey Ho Friends! One of my favorite CAS carmakers in the community is Laurie Willison, What a thrill to see her design a few Hot Foil Glimmer plates for Spellbinders! As a parent, I'm always searching for fun, engaging activities to do with my kids, especially during the summer months. When I stumbled upon the idea of creating a DIY water table, I knew I had to give it a shot. Not only did it seem like a relatively simple project, but it also promised endless hours of play. Here's how I did it, broken down into easy-to-follow steps, so you can recreate this water wonderland for your little ones. Hello crafty friends! My name is Allison Davis and I am a scrapbooker and sketch artist for my family’s scrapbook store located in Springfield, MO, and also the sketch artist for Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine. I am absolutely thrilled to be a guest on the Spellbinders blog today sharing a mini-album I created using the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Love Story collection along with some Spellbinders cutting dies. One of the things I have always loved and appreciated about Simple Stories collections is the amount of cut-apart papers they include. That was what inspired the design of this album. I used a mix of cut-apart pieces, tags, pockets, and some large die-cut pieces as the base of the album. I loved the idea of using a mix of sizes and shapes for the pages of this album instead of a uniform page size throughout. To embellish the pages I used so many of the beautiful Simple Stories products including rub-ons, die cuts, and stickers. Each page of the album is unique with different elements and designs. I cut out and used lots of tags to tuck into some small pockets. The tags have photos and my journaling on them along with some fun details here and there. I also used the Spellbinders Essential Hearts and Be Bold Blooms Cutting Dies to add some heart and flower details throughout the album. On most of the hearts, I added some hand-stitching to add some texture and dimension. Hand-stitching is my favorite technique so of course I had to find a way to work it in there! One of my favorite things about this Simple Stories collection is the package of Big Bits that includes 14 large ephemera pieces. I used some for pages in the album and also the cover. This really made for some beautiful and unique pages! I ended up with 17 pages with designs on the front and back of them all. Here’s a look at all of the front side pages together And are all of the back side pages… Thank you so much for joining me today! If you want to see more of my work you can find me on my blog, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Other supplies Fiskars small heart punch, Nuvo Dream Drops in Cloud 9
I purchased this stamp-making foam quite a while ago on the recommendation of a friend. I pulled it out the other day to see what I could do with it. I started out using the real thin sheet and cut some flower shapes with a Spellbinders’ die. That was easy and fun. I could see…
