Good Morning Everyone, tis chilly out this morning. So today im sharing this birthday card i made for a wonderful friend, using my all time favourite die, hollyhocks by impression obsession. First i die cut lots of hollyhocks from white card and then coloured them with wild honey & ripe persimmon distress inks. Die cut leaves from green card, i then die cut 2 mason jars from white card, uisng a knife i cut out the middle of one and backed with acetate, fill with glitter and mirco beads and added the 2nd one to the back, these i coloured with tumbled glass distress ink. Brick embossing folder from Stampin Up and woodgrain from sizzix to give the jar something to sit on. I was sad to see this one leave home but knew it was going to a loving home😎. Thank you for looking and all of you wonderful people leaving amazing comments, you make my day. Warm hugs Emma x

Jennifer McGuire recently shared a technique using 3D embossing folders and a sanding block that she called Embossing Folder Pop. Taking away color with the sanding block lets the embossed images pop and appear to have highlights. I remembered that I had some Stampin' Up sanding blocks so I inked a panel and ran it through Altenew's Beautiful Bergenia embossing folder. Then I started lightly sanding the raised areas on the panel. Either my sanding block is too old, or my hand is too heavy because too much color was taken away. I ended up swiping the surface with a white pigment ink pad and I liked the results much better. A gold diecut "hello" finished off the card. I'm determined to try this again, with my order of Altenew's newest 3D embossing folders on its way and a lighter hand at sanding. Thanks so much for stopping by!

I textured the Melon Mambo layer with the new Zinnia 3D embossing folder and created the two flowers & leaves from the Simply Zinnias dies. See all of the Zinnia products here. Hello all, The day is here that the Floral Focus card kit release by My Favorite Things is avaible! What do you think is it beautiful or what? So what is ending up in your shopping cart? Watch your budget but have fun shopping! Yesterday i sticked with the cardkit colors today i'm freestyling it. I made not one but two card using the same layout but with a total different look using the Focus Floral Die-Namics. So cut a Smooth White topfold basecard and temporarly added the Rectangle Extraordinaire Stencil. Inkblended the colors Old Paper, Evergreen Bough and Black Soot Distress Oxide ink on to it. Splattered some water, white paint and white glimmer mist and removed the stencil. Die cut the Focus Floral out of Smooth White and added it to the panel. Heat set the sentiment on some Eiffel Tower cardstock and cut it using the Slimline Skinny Strips Die-Namics. Finished the card of using some clear sequins. For my second card i cut a Cement Gray topfold base card, temporarly added the Rectangle Extraordinaire Stencil. Inkblended the colors Stromy Sky, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide ink on to it. Splattered some water, white paint and white glimmer mist and removed the stencil. Die cut the Focus Floral out of Smooth White and added it to the panel. Heat set the sentiment on some Cement Gray cardstock and cut it using the Slimline Skinny Strips Die-Namics.
