Grateful - warmly and deeply appreciative of Kindness; thankful for what one has done or experienced. Time to really ponder on those words and ask yourself - even write them down if you can, what are YOU grateful for? We can be so busy with the next thing that we need to do, or cope with that we can miss wonderful moments that we can be grateful for. When we practice gratitude our attitude towards our situation in life, other people or situations we can't control can change. That's right - things we don't have control over we can view differently. Gratitude is POWERFUL - and can elevate stress, help you be more confident and boost your self esteem. I know that Bruno and I are VERY grateful for the incentive trip that is coming up in just a few days!!! Oh my! (We had better start packing right?) This card I will be giving to Sara and Shelli as we are so so appreciative to all their hard work making Stampin' Up!® amazing. We know that things are not always going to be perfect, but we know that they are doing their best and have overcome so many hurdles to get the company where it is today. I am so happy that they did! We are now heading off on an all expenses paid Greek Isles cruise for two including flights!! WHHHAAATT! Oh my so so exciting. We also get to spend some extra days in Rome catching up with friends that we wouldn't have got to know if it wasn't for Stampin' Up!®. So to say that we are grateful would be very true. Here is my card - We can't wait to show you all the amazing things that we are going to see and do in Rome and the Greek Isles. It is just going to be AMAZING. Praiseworthy Prose Bundle is a great value for money bundle for £49.50 and enables you to create words, phrases, eclipse cards, negative and positive lettering simply and easily. With the stamp set add sentiments and phrases to complete your projects. This is example I have used the positive and negative from the dies to create two cards. The background is also from this stamp set. These two are from a journal I am working on. So easy to create phrases for any project you want. Make an eclipse card and pop it in a frame, again the background stamp is from the stamp set. Choose your favourite stamp set and add a word to coordinate with the card. So many ideas for this lovely bundle. Watch the video and get some tips and ideas and a complete review of this fantastic Praiseworthy Prose Bundle
I have finally made time to share in more detail the sample cards I made for my Onstage presentation in Auckland. I was so lucky to receive the Praiseworthy Bundle to play with. It is a beautiful stamp set with dictionary style sentiments. The dies are fabulous - lower case letters in a lovely font. I will be getting a lot of use from these! These dies and stamp set will be available to order with the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue which goes live June 4th 2019. Make sure you look out for them (page 109). These three cards are the ones I showcased during my presentation. I made more samples for the display boards that I will share over the next few weeks. (I got a bit carried away!) For this eclipse card I embossed a panel of water colour paper with the subtle embossing folder then used my aquapainters and ink pads to create a water colour wash. I love the effect of this. Then I cut out the die letters and pieced them back into the cardstock. I love this Family card - the cute little dog house from the Happy Tails set. I have kept a monochromatic look with coatal cabana and bermuda bay. I have used the background beehive pattern in the stamp set to make a strip down the left hand side then added layers of stitched rectangle dies to give it texture and dimension. This card uses the same monochromatic look but this time I have chosen to die cut the letter 'f'' and then mount the white panel onto a gorgeous grape square die cut to add some interest. Again I have used the background stamp to create a patterned piece. I love these sentiments and they fit so well with the rectangle stitched dies (one of my all time favourite dies!) and my much loved Subtles embossing folder.

I think I have new favorite from the Annual Catalog! Yeah, I love the cows (see them here) and I love the birds (see them here), and I really love the boats (see them here and here), but now something else has caught my fancy. What do you think: Seriously - L.O.V.E. Ok, let's take a look at why I love this so much. 1. The colors - These brilliant colors are achieved with the new Pigment Sprinkles Watercolor Crystals. If you were familiar with our old Brusho, you have a bit of an idea of what these are. Brusho on steroids! And in Stampin' UP! colors! Wowsers! Add some water to Watercolor Paper and sprinkle on the color and watch the explosion. I used the Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Mango Melody sprinkles to make the card on the right. Blended the colors lightly with an Aqua Painter, and then let it dry; I had to be patient. (Oh, heck, I wasn't patient, I used my heat tool to dry off the paper). 2. The stamps - Praiseworthy Prose has "definition stamps". There is a word or phrase, and then the definition. 3. The dies - OK, the Hand-lettered Prose dies are an awesome deal! Just $38 for a ton of fabulous letters in a great font. You can make ANY word! And if you purchase the stamps and dies together, you get 10% off the price of the bundle! So let's take a closer look at these cards, shall we? I started with this one: After creating my background paper with the crystals, I stamped the definition along the bottom and added some celebration squiggles in matching ink colors. Then, using the dies, I cut the word and exclamation point. I had to be sure to save the center of the "a". Next I mounted the colored paper with the cutouts to a piece of Basic Black - POP! Those colors and letters just jumped out! And in keeping with the bright colors, I mounted the whole thing to a Mango Melody card base. It's such a beautiful card! But wait...there's more... Now I had the letters and exclamation point. What to do? Make another card: I took three strips of coordinating card stock (Melon Mambo, Mango Melody and Bermuda Bay) and ran them through my die-cutting machine with embossing folders - Basket Weave, Tufted, and the new Brick & Mortar. I stamped another definition and finished the card. Just think - two cards with one effort! Create a background, cut the letters, and you're nearly done! Some great new products for you to look at: Pigment Sprinkles Watercolor Crystals, Praiseworthy Prose and Hand-Lettered Prose dies. Your creative options just multiplied! There are so many ways to share in the joy of someone else's success. We typically think of 'so very proud of you' as something we'd say to a child, but it's possible to beam with pride for grown adults when they succeed, too. This week's Global Design Project Well
The Praiseworthy Prose bundle offers 43 letter and punctuation dies with the look of brush-lettering. They are big enough to make an impact on a card, but small enough to fit well! The coordinating stamp set provides a few greetings - in the form of definitions. I was attracted to this bundle for the alphabet dies, but it will also be fun to make words to pair with these stamps. Today's card is very simple, with just a few elements from the bundle and some bling! The background paper is from the See a Silhouette collection. Thank you for checking out my card today! Wow, what an amazing few weeks I have had. My head is still spinning! So this post might not be terribly articulate but here goes! Perhaps I will let the photos do the talking!! I have shared most of these photos on my facebook page already. First of all was the venue - the Sky Tower in Auckland. What a beautiful city. I have been before with my family about 8 years ago but we didn't spend a lot of time in Auckland. This time I stayed in the heart of the city at the venue which was so central. I was on the 18th floor so had amazing views (the first photo wasn't my view but it's still pretty spectacular) Why thank you - don't mind if I do!! AND they refilled it every day for me :) One of the main reasons I attend these events is for the friendships - each time I go I reconnect with old friends and make heaps of new ones too! I got to hang out with 600 of my favourite people for 3 whole days!! Traditional Maori welcome My team members and a few adopted friends Prize Patrol winners! My gorgeous team leader Marelle Taylor I finally got to meet this gorgeous lady in person after chatting online for ages - miss you my sweet friend! These were some of the Kiwi girls - they made us all lolly bags with all the New Zealand treats. So much fun and so yummy too! Dinner at the War Memorial and Museum. And then there are the gifts we receive...... New catalogue anyone??? And then.................. I had to keep a VERY big secret from you. I was honoured to have been asked to present a brand new stamp set and dies whilst in Auckland. This involved me getting new products a few months ago, making samples, preparing a speech and then doing it all live in front of 600 friends - oh and the CEO Sara and her mum Shelli, the co-founder of Stampin' Up! No pressure right!? And because it was all top secret I couldn’t tell anyone what I was doing and it was soooo hard to keep a secret. No one knew until they announced my name and I came on stage! I am really proud of myself for stepping wwaaayy out of my comfort zone and doing this. I never would have contemplated this even a few years ago and I was surprised how calm I felt whilst up there. Me on one of the two big screens - yikes!! It was recorded by fellow demonstrator Kylie Bertucci and her husband Bruno. This is the best version I have at the moment. The video is long (but awesome to watch if you have time) so if you want to see me fast forward to the 52 minute mark. These are some of the samples I made - I will blog them in more detail over the coming weeks. Phew, this post has taken me a while and I still have more to share including my huge stash of swaps and gifts. I'll post those next week for you.
