July 29, 2019 Happy Monday, friends! I played with the Stampin’ Up This Little Piggy and the Hand Lettered Prose Dies yesterday. I love the HOGS & KISSES sentiment in the This Little Pig…

Hello there! To create today’s card, I used the Hand-Lettered Prose dies along with the stamp set, Well Said. These dies make it so easy to create a fancy looking card! I decided it was time to do some heat embossing so I pulled out my heat tool, Versamark & white embossing powder and embossed […]

I’m having fun playing with the See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper. I cut the border and cut the letters for “happy” from it.
I have a new grand-nephew! Wow, that makes me sound really old! My niece recently gave birth to her son, and I commemorated the occasion with this (and a gift 😄): My grandson is a total dinosaur freak, so I thought I may as well start my new nephew off on the right foot. This card didn't come out ANYTHING like I had planned, but I was really happy with the results. What started with the panel with the name cut-out blossomed into a 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" card! Does that ever happen to you? So this is where it all started. Then I needed to build around his name. I absolutely adore the Hand Lettered Prose alphabet dies! They are so easy to create ANY word with! My Balmy Blue panel was cut with the letters, embossed with the Subtle embossing folder, and mounted with Dimensionals over a piece of Night of Navy. Then came the dinosaurs--each stamped with a different blue (Night of Navy, Pool Party and Seaside Spray) and cut with the coordinating Dino dies. So cute! My card "grew" when I realized I couldn't fit everything on a standard card base. So I just added some Granny Apple Green (embossed with the Layered Leaves embossing folder) and more Night of Navy, which then gave me room for the palm tree (also part of the Dino Days suite). I just had to add some grass (Lakeside dies) to finish off the card. I'm sure little Max will be a Dino lover before long... Check out Hand Lettered Prose - being able to create any word you want makes this SUCH a versatile set of dies! I know you'll love them as much as I do! I chose to highlight the Stitched Nested Labels Dies on last night's Facebook Live. Inspired by sneak peeks from the upcoming Holiday Catalog, I mixed in some "Christmas in July" projects. I know the picture shows an odd collection of cards, but I hope that helps you see the possibilities for these cards in additional themes - like birthdays and other special events. We started with this fun fold. The Pool Party card base measures 5 1/2" x 7 1/2", scored at 4 1/4". The designer paper measures 3" x 5 1/4". I cut two of the largest Stitched Nested dies - one from the Petal Pink designer paper and one from Pool Party cardstock. I attached the die shapes together to make a sturdy piece to attach to the card front, and I attached it with … Continue reading →

It's time to celebrate a HUGE milestone at Just Add Ink - our 500th challenge. That's a lot of inspiration over the years so we're having a blog hop too! Before we get started, I must thank our amazing past and current Just Add Ink Design Team members. I hope some of you will play along with this challenge to celebrate with us too. You may have arrived from my JAI and SU teamie, the fabulous Jo Stubbings, or some other way. Welcome to our challenge: :) Follow the hop from my post or from the main Just Add Ink blog. My aim for this challenge was to start on some paper hello's to send, since in-person hello's are not possible in light of the Covid19 nightmare. I'm sharing my space with my working from home husband, so time is very tight. I made this mostly with some of the many leftover bits & pieces on my desk, mixed with some die cut Hand Lettered Prose dies cut in poppy parade card. I love playing around with them to create something new. I also really loved the Little Ladybugs stamp set that was available during Sale-a-bration, so I built my card around some of my coloured pretties. You might remember them from these January 2020 Stamping Sisters tutorial project and extra bonus projects shared here. This card will be going in the mail soon, hopefully followed by lots of others soon once my stamp space is back together after some room painting. I encourage you to send some paper hello's too, as they sure to add some light & love to someone's day. Thanks again for visiting today and I hope you enjoy all the inspiration being shared by the Team. Next you're heading to Patrice Easton's blog where you're sure to find a beautiful project. Happy stamping & inky wishes, Di
