I used the Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Flora stamp set bundle from the upcoming January-April 2023 Mini Catalog to create a quick thank you card to share with you today.
Welcome to the Stamping With Friends February Blog Hop, as we showcase our favorite products from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. There are so many amazing new products to choose from that it's hard to pick a favorite. Our wonderful Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore the products in this new Mini Catalog to help spark your creativity. One of my favorite bundles in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog is the Fragrant Flowers Bundle and I love that it coordinates with the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper, which is a Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward you can earn free with a qualifying order. For this card design, I used the Fragrant Flowers Dies to die cut out the flowers from one of the sheets of Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper to create the focal image. I love the bold, vibrant florals in this pretty paper and it is perfect for creating beautiful card designs. I also chose to use the Framed Florets Dies, another one of my favorites from the new mini catalog. The detailed oval frame die cut worked perfectly for this design and helped the focal design stand out against the Design A Day Dream Designer Series Paper background. This card requires minimal stamping and is simple to create with these amazing dies. Products Used: Go To Greetings stamp set (item #158763) Fragrant Flowers Dies (item #160459) Framed Florets Dies (item #160623) Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183) Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (item #160833) Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper (item #159161) Host Reward Petal Pink Cardstock (item #146985) Basic Black Cardstock (item #121045) Versamark Pad (item #102283) Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555) Classic Matte Dots (item #158146) Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (item #144108) Measurements: Petal Pink Cardstock Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4") Basic Black Cardstock Layer 1 - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" Detailed Oval Frame die cut with the Framed Florets Dies Sentiment Label die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" Tip: Die cut the Detailed Oval Frame from the middle of the Layer 1 Basic Black Cardstock to save cardstock. To create this beautiful card, I die cut all the pieces I would need first, so that I could arrange them into the finished design. I die cut the detailed oval frame using the Framed Florets Dies from Basic Black cardstock (the Layer 1 that frames the designer series paper card front) and then adhered the Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper to the Black Cardstock layer. I attached the detailed oval die cut to the center of the card front to create the focal area for my design. Using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, I popped up the larger floral die cut. I attached the smaller floral elements first to the card front, to create the background and then attached the larger popped up image so that it slightly overlapped these flowers. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Go To Greetings stamp set onto a Basic Black sentiment label die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. I added it to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. To complete the card design, I added several Matte Black Dots to coordinate with the Black accents in the card design. I love how this card design turned out and how dramatic the floral image looks against the subtle stripes in the background. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. Hello my crafting friends, Today I am excited to share with you another card I created for Stampin’ Up as part of their Artisan Design Team. The products are from the Fitting Florets Collection. I shared my first card that I made for this assignment earlier on my blog - if you missed it you can jump over there with this link - http://creativechelsey.blogspot.com/2022/12/christmas-fitting-florets-designer.html There are some beautiful products in this collection and I share all of them in that first video. Today I am focusing on the Framed Florets Bundle (Stamp Set & Die). To purchase any of these products you see me use today, please visit my online store. The link is below in the description. Today’s card uses colored cardstock to make bold flowers that pop against the white cardbase. I have lot of tips to share for these flowers, so make sure to see all of them by watching to the end of the video. I stamped three of the four floral images in Memento Black ink on three colors of cardstock, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party, and So Saffron. Cut out with coordinating dies. Tip: To make your images nice and dark use your Stamparatus and stamp multiple times. 2- Stamp leaves on Granny Apple Green in Memento Black Ink. I used 3 large and 3 small leaves. Cut out with coordinating dies. Tip: To make cutting out fast & easy if your stamps are in the same position on each piece of cardstock, you can create a template. See video below for details. 3- Use coordinating Stampin’ Blend Markers and add a little color to each flower & leaves. Leave and leaves & branches that are not on the Granny Apple Green cardstock untouched. 4- Stamp your greeting in the center of the Basic White piece of cardstock in Memento Black ink. Cut it out with the oval from the Framed Florets Dies. Save both pieces. 5- Emboss the 4” x 5 ¼” piece of white cardstock with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder. Add this to the front of the cardbase. 6- Add the three large flowers on the cardbase in a triangular shape. Add two or three of the larger leaves near the flowers. Add a little splatter with the Black Stampin’ Write Marker. 7- Layer the frame of the oval in the center of the cardbase over the flowers. Add the greeting to the center with dimensionals. 8- Add the other flowers and leaves tuck in and around the oval. Use dimensionals as you want. Add 3-5 gold embellishments. I used the Gold Swirls, which are no longer available to purchase. Hopefully you were able to get a pack before they sold out. All Done! While it is a beautiful Christmas tree scene, I'm done with Christmas cards and I was inspired by the greens, purple and kraft colors. I chose Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss and Crumb Cake, colors in the Design a Daydream DSP. I used the Hand-Drawn Dots Background Stamp with Balmy Blue ink. 2- On 3” x 4” Basic White Cardstock stamp the heart images in Polished Pink in the top left and bottom right corners. Add some splatters if you want. I used Balmy Blue Stampin’ Write Marker. Add a fun decorative edge to the left side of the cardstock. I created this torn notebook page using the Blossoming Happiness Dies. 3- Layer the 3 ¼” x 4” Early Espresso Cardstock at an angle in the center of the cardbase. Then add the Basic White piece at an opposite angle on top. Cut out the Crosshatch Die from Polished Pink Cardstock. Use Adhesive Sheets on the back. Add this to the center of the Basic White Cardstock at an angle. 4- Stamp the glass image in Balmy Blue. TIP: Stamp the details first in full Balmy Blue ink. Then ink up the solid glass and stamp off then line up the glass over the details and stamp again with out reinking. This will give you a lighter color. Cut out with coordinating dies. Add this to the center of the card with dimensionals. 5- Stamp both large & small Ice Cream Scoops in Early Espresso and cut out with coordinating dies. Add this to the top of the glad with dimensionals. 6- Stamp the Cherry & Straw in Polished Pink and cut out with coordinating die. Add to the top of the Ice Cream. There is a slit in the large scoop that you can tuck the straw into. Use dimensionals if you want. 7- Stamp your greeting in Early Espresso Ink and cut out with a 1 ½” Circle Die or Punch. Create a faux bow with 10” of Silver Trim and add to the back of the greeting. Add to the card in the bottom right corner of the glass with dimensionals. 8- Add 3-5 Basic Silver Rhinestones.
