Welcome to the Stamping With Friends February Blog Hop, as we showcase our favorite products from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. There are so many amazing new products to choose from that it's hard to pick a favorite. Our wonderful Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore the products in this new Mini Catalog to help spark your creativity. One of my favorite bundles in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog is the Fragrant Flowers Bundle and I love that it coordinates with the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper, which is a Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward you can earn free with a qualifying order. For this card design, I used the Fragrant Flowers Dies to die cut out the flowers from one of the sheets of Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper to create the focal image. I love the bold, vibrant florals in this pretty paper and it is perfect for creating beautiful card designs. I also chose to use the Framed Florets Dies, another one of my favorites from the new mini catalog. The detailed oval frame die cut worked perfectly for this design and helped the focal design stand out against the Design A Day Dream Designer Series Paper background. This card requires minimal stamping and is simple to create with these amazing dies. Products Used: Go To Greetings stamp set (item #158763) Fragrant Flowers Dies (item #160459) Framed Florets Dies (item #160623) Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183) Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (item #160833) Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper (item #159161) Host Reward Petal Pink Cardstock (item #146985) Basic Black Cardstock (item #121045) Versamark Pad (item #102283) Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555) Classic Matte Dots (item #158146) Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (item #144108) Measurements: Petal Pink Cardstock Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4") Basic Black Cardstock Layer 1 - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" Detailed Oval Frame die cut with the Framed Florets Dies Sentiment Label die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" Tip: Die cut the Detailed Oval Frame from the middle of the Layer 1 Basic Black Cardstock to save cardstock. To create this beautiful card, I die cut all the pieces I would need first, so that I could arrange them into the finished design. I die cut the detailed oval frame using the Framed Florets Dies from Basic Black cardstock (the Layer 1 that frames the designer series paper card front) and then adhered the Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper to the Black Cardstock layer. I attached the detailed oval die cut to the center of the card front to create the focal area for my design. Using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, I popped up the larger floral die cut. I attached the smaller floral elements first to the card front, to create the background and then attached the larger popped up image so that it slightly overlapped these flowers. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Go To Greetings stamp set onto a Basic Black sentiment label die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. I added it to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. To complete the card design, I added several Matte Black Dots to coordinate with the Black accents in the card design. I love how this card design turned out and how dramatic the floral image looks against the subtle stripes in the background. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I used the Hand-Drawn Dots Background Stamp with Balmy Blue ink. 2- On 3” x 4” Basic White Cardstock stamp the heart images in Polished Pink in the top left and bottom right corners. Add some splatters if you want. I used Balmy Blue Stampin’ Write Marker. Add a fun decorative edge to the left side of the cardstock. I created this torn notebook page using the Blossoming Happiness Dies. 3- Layer the 3 ¼” x 4” Early Espresso Cardstock at an angle in the center of the cardbase. Then add the Basic White piece at an opposite angle on top. Cut out the Crosshatch Die from Polished Pink Cardstock. Use Adhesive Sheets on the back. Add this to the center of the Basic White Cardstock at an angle. 4- Stamp the glass image in Balmy Blue. TIP: Stamp the details first in full Balmy Blue ink. Then ink up the solid glass and stamp off then line up the glass over the details and stamp again with out reinking. This will give you a lighter color. Cut out with coordinating dies. Add this to the center of the card with dimensionals. 5- Stamp both large & small Ice Cream Scoops in Early Espresso and cut out with coordinating dies. Add this to the top of the glad with dimensionals. 6- Stamp the Cherry & Straw in Polished Pink and cut out with coordinating die. Add to the top of the Ice Cream. There is a slit in the large scoop that you can tuck the straw into. Use dimensionals if you want. 7- Stamp your greeting in Early Espresso Ink and cut out with a 1 ½” Circle Die or Punch. Create a faux bow with 10” of Silver Trim and add to the back of the greeting. Add to the card in the bottom right corner of the glass with dimensionals. 8- Add 3-5 Basic Silver Rhinestones. I can’t believe it is the first of December and the last Sheetload of Cards template for 2023. I am excited to share the cards I made with you today and an easy way to turn this month’s design into a fun fold card. Each month Alicia from Call Me Crafty Al designs a fun template to create multiple handmade cards. Her designs are always fun and easy to use. They include a list of the types of products you need along with measurements to help you cut each piece. ***** See what the COLLABORATION TEAM created YOUTUBE https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOjF4zwVYrxkE3a_27AKHr0q0irtoTm2V INSTAGRAM https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/slctdec2023/ If YOU CREATE cards using this month’s SheetLoad, PLEASE USE the following hashtags: #SUYSDec2023 #ShowUsYourSheetLoad Find out how to GET YOUR FREE COPY of the December 2023 SheetLoad of Cards, here: https://youtu.be/13EUxMTcTpA ***** With the template this month you can make 8 handmade cards with four sheets of 6” x 6” pattern paper or 1 sheet of 12” x 12” which is what I did. The Paper I used comes from the Perennial Lavender DSP from Stampin’ Up. Here are the 6 double sided- designs. The pack comes with two of each sheet. If you love the color purple this pack of paper is for you! To coordinate with the paper I used the Painted Lavender Bundle which includes the stamp set & dies. Both the paper and bundle are new products you can get next month (January 4th, 2024) from the Mini Catalog. Do you want to see all the new products in this catalog? Use this link to request your own copy. https://forms.gle/4sWaFF67PnekxCK47 As soon as I saw the card layout this month I knew I wanted to switch things up just a little and turn it into a fun fold card. Here are the measurements to turn this card layout into a fun fold. Start with a 5 ½” x 8 ½” piece of cardstock. Score it on the left side at 1 5/8” and then on the right side at 2 5/8”. Fold along the score lines so the flaps meet in the front. From here you can design the card exactly like Alicia does using the same measurements on her template. When you add the strip across the front only adhere it to the right flap. As a part of her collab team, I get a sneak peek at her templates and then get to design and share my cards with you. To see close up images of these cards you can visit my blog – coming soon. Welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop as we share Sneak Peeks from the upcoming new January-April Mini Catalog and 2023 Sale-a-bration Catalog. It's always so exciting to share new projects created with these amazing new products to help inspire you. Our wonderful Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help spark your creativity. The January-April 2023 Mini Catalog and 2023 Sale-a-bration Catalog will be available for customers to order from beginning January 5th, 2023. There is no better way to start prepping for the New Year than new products from new catalogs. There are so many wonderful products to choose from, so it took me a little while to come up with my card design. I knew I wanted to create a birthday card because it's one of the most popular cards that people send out throughout the year, and I thought it would be a great way to inspire you to get creative in 2023. One of my favorite stamp sets from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog, is a hidden gem called Best Day. It is towards the end of the catalog on page 67 and I love the combination of images and sentiments. I decided to combine this stamp set with the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper, which is a mega paper pack with 48 sheets of 12"x12" designer series paper, that you can earn Free with a qualifying $100 order. The colors and patterns in this pack are so pretty and work well for all ages and all occasions. For my card, I chose to use Fresh Freesia, Petal Pink, Pale Papaya and Basic White with a touch of Silver to step up the design. I love how fun and festive this card design, so perfect for making someone feel special on their birthday Products Used: Best Day stamp set (item #160798) Sneak Peek January-April 2023 Mini Catalog Deckled Rectangles Dies (item #159173) Give It A Whirl dies (item #154336) Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper (item #160836) Sneak Peek 2023 Sale-a-bration Catalog Fresh Freesia Cardstock (item #155613) Pale Papaya Cardstock (item #155668) Basic White Cardstock (item #159276) Silver Foil Specialty Pack (item #156457) Fresh Freesia Classic Ink Pad (item #155611) Pale Papaya Classic Ink Pad (item #155670) Memento Tuxedo Black Pad (item #132708) Versamark Pad (item #102283) Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555) Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #155518) Pale Papaya Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #155519) Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154893) Highland Heather Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154887) Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (item #141897) Pale Papaya 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon (item #155672) Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430) Sponge Daubers (item #133773) Measurements: Fresh Freesia Cardstock Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4") Large Deckled Rectangle die cut with the Deckled Rectangles Dies Basic White Cardstock Focal Layer die cut with the Deckled Rectangles Dies Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper Background Layer - 5 1/4" x 4" Pale Papaya Cardstock Sentiment Label die cut with the Give It A Whirl Dies Silver Foil Specialty Pack Assorted stars die cut with the Give It A Whirl Dies This card design is made up of different layers to provide depth and dimension. I stamped the focal image with Momento Tuxedo Black ink onto the Basic White layer and colored the image with Stampin' Blends Markers, choosing colors that coordinated with the designer series paper layer. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with Silver embossing powder onto the Pale Papaya sentiment label and added it to the bottom of the focal layer with Stampin' Dimensionals. To assemble the card, I attached the focal layer to the Fresh Freesia Deckled Rectangle. Next, I attached the Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon around the center of the designer series paper layer to the card base. Using Stampin' Dimensionals, I attached the focal layer to the card base, centering it on the designer series paper. To add a touch of sparkle, I added the Silver Foil stars to the card front and then colored the Happy and layers of the cake with Clear Wink of Stella.
