Hello, Graphic 45 Fans! It is time to share another Graphic 45 project with you! I had such fun playing with the NEW Lost in Paradise collection a few weeks ago (see the project HERE) that I decided to dip into the papers again, along with some other (retired) collections, and make a mini album! This chunky monkey mini is 6 1/4" x 6 1/4" x 2 1/2" in size! It is a nice, square, chubby book! I confess, I was a bit afraid of all the color and print in this paper collection. I finally had to throw caution to the wind and EMBRACE the vibrant colors and just create! There are six pages inside the book, plus a waterfall inside the front cover and a big pocket inside the back cover. This book is jam-packed with pull outs, flip ups, tags, and more! I have used four collections for this mini, but don't let that scare you! There is plenty of paper in one collection, if you have the 12x12 collection pack and the 12x12 patterns and solids pad, to make this book. If you add in and 8x8 pad and a package of ephemera cards, you will be all set! I have used: Lost in Paradise, Tropical Travelogue (I used the original, but you can use the Deluxe Collector's Edition), Nature Sketchbook, and Safari Adventure. You may be able to find Nature Sketchbook or Safari Adventure on Ebay, but they are both retired. To see all the pages and inside content, please view the video below. For the tutorial, keep reading. I have a photo tutorial to explain how to create the album base, plus a few tips for decorating. Also, I have used a different hinge mechanism than the one I usually use. I have been finding that the old hinge piece is not always working the way I wish. So, I tried something else this time. See the directions below. Start off with three pieces of heavy to medium weight chipboard. Cut two pieces for the covers to 6 1/4" x 6 1/4". Cut the spine piece to 6 1/4" x 2 1/2". Splice together black cardstock to make a piece that measures 8 1/4" tall and 17 1/2" wide. Place your chipboard pieces onto the cardstock, with a one-inch border all the way around. Make sure to space your spine chipboard piece approximately 1/4" from the cover pieces to allow the album to open and close without cracking the cardstock. Cut the corners of the cardstock an an angle, as shown. Add double-sided adhesive to the tabs. Then wrap your cardstock around the chipboard to give a finished edge. The book will have six pages (12 sides). To make the hinges, cut six pieces of heavy weight black cardstock to 6 1/8" x 1". (I used 110# cardstock.) Score each in half, fold and burnish. (Only five hinges are shown above, but please make six. One of my hinges was in the book before I thought to snap a photo!) Place double-sided adhesive on one side of each score line, as shown. To add your first hinge, line the fold of the hinge piece up with the very edge of the spine chipboard piece, with the fold on the LEFT. The 1/2" hinge will stick up, and the 1/2" gutter will be attached, as shown. For the second hinge, place the fold to the RIGHT and overlap the gutter from hinge number one. The gutter for hinge number two will be up against hinge one, as shown. For hinges three through six, make sure the fold is to the RIGHT. The gutter for each hinge should be placed up against each previous hinge, as shown. There should be a 1/2" gutter between each hinge. For hinge number six, line up the fold of the hinge piece with the very edge of the spine chipboard piece, with the fold on the RIGHT. This is what your project should look like so far. The six hinges will cover the spine piece. Each hinge is 1/2" high and there is a 1/2" gutter between each hinge. Cut five strips of decorative paper to 6" x 3/8" and sponge the edges with Abandoned Coral Distress ink. Attach one paper strip to each hinge gutter, as shown. Fold the hinges back and forth to make them more flexible. You can see in the photo above the gap between the spine and the cover chipboard pieces. I like to reinforce that and with the old hinge system, the space was always covered. With this type of hinge, we need to add a covering piece to the front and back inside covers to reinforce the gap. (This is optional and personal preference.) Cut two pieces of black cardstock (use weight 65#-80#) to 6 1/8" x 1 1/2". Score both pieces at 1/2" and add double-sided adhesive to the 1/2" tab. Place the 1/2" section on top of the first hinge to secure it in place (this will make the first hinge a double thickness). Once the piece is attached to the hinge, glue the 1" section to the inside front cover. Burnish and gently score the spine gap. Repeat with the last hinge and back inside cover. Trim two pieces of decorative paper to 6 1/8" x 6 1/8" and attach to the inside covers. (Sponge all papers for this project with the Abandoned Coral Distress Ink or Decades Rustic Orange, if desired.) To create the waterfall section on the front cover, cut six panels from black cardstock to 3 5/8" tall by 4 1/8" wide. Score on the longer side at 1/2". Round the corners opposite your score lines. Fold on the score lines, making sure to fold the 1/2" tab to the back of the panel. Place double-sided adhesive onto the resulting 1/2" tabs. Start at the top edge of the cover and add your panels. Line up the first panel with the top edge of the cover, in the center. Continue to attach the panels, lining up the folded edge of each panel to the bottom edge of the tab of each previous panel. Trim thin strips of paper to place over each tab, covering the black cardstock. These strips are approximately 3/8" x 4". Place a magnet onto the bottom center of the top waterfall panel. To see all the pages of the waterfall, view the video linked above. Cut a strip of cardstock to 4 1/2" x 1" and wrap it from the bottom of the cover up to the top waterfall panel. (I managed to slide my strip under the paper attached to the inside front cover.) Add a magnet to the strip. The magnet will line up with the magnet you placed on the first panel. This will also help your waterfall to stay neat and tidy. Cut decorative paper to cover both sides of the strip. Add an embellishment to the top, if desired. Add ephemera cards and decorative paper to each panel. The papers are cut to 3" x 4". Round the corners, as shown. Let's add the pages to the mini. I like to add my pages first, and then decorate them. I have fewer mishaps if I do it this way! Trim six pieces of heavy weight black cardstock to 6 1/8" x 6 1/8". Round the corners on one side of each page. Place adhesive on the left side of each hinge. Attach a page to each hinge. Trim decorative paper for each page. Each decorative panel should measure 6" x 6". You will need twelve (12) pieces. Once you have paper on all the panels, you can decorate as desired. Inside front cover and page one. The ATC tags make great tuck spots. The photo booklet on page one is 4 1/8" x 8 1/4" black cardstock, folded in half. Decorative paper folded inside and held with twine makes a fun place for some journaling. Pages two and three. Here is a wonderful example of the Lost in Paradise Collection working together perfectly with the older collections! The pocket on page two measures 6 1/8" x 3", which means you need to cut your cardstock to 7 1/8" x 3 1/2" and score on three sides at 1/2" to make the pocket tabs. Fussy cut images, popped up with foam tape, make great pockets and tuck spots! Pages four and five. The Graphic 45 tags and tag dies are prefect for this style of project. To create the band on page four, cut a border strip from the decorative paper, and attach on either edge with foam adhesive. Use a chipboard element as a "stopper" to keep the little accordion mini from sliding out of the book. The angled pocket on page five is easy to make. Cut a square of cardstock to 6" x 6" and cut it in half diagonally. Set one of the resulting triangles aside. Score the triangle on the two 90 degree edges at 1/2" to make the pocket tabs. Attach the pocket to the page. To make the booklet, trim black cardstock to 4 1/8" tall. Then splice pieces together to make a length of 15 1/8". Score every 3 1/8" to create five panels that are 4 1/8" x 3 1/8" each. The 4" x 3" ephemera cards are perfect for this accordion fold booklet. Lots of space for journaling! To see close-ups and the other side...you guessed it, view the video! Pages six and seven.Tuck spots and fold outs, oh my! Use an ATC tag as a tuck spot on page six. To create the flip-out piece on page seven, trim black cardstock to 10 1/4" x 5". Score at 3" and 7". Glue the center section to the center of page seven. Pages eight and nine. Photo booklets are a great addition to any album. And these sweet butterflies make great tuck spots for an ephemera card! The photo booklet on page eight is 4 1/8" x 8 1/4" black cardstock, folded in half. For page nine, fussy cut butterflies and pop them up on the page to create tuck spots. Pages ten and eleven. A riot of color! The pocket on page ten measures 6 1/8" x 3", which means you need to cut your cardstock to 7 1/8" x 3 1/2" and score on three sides at 1/2" to make the pocket tabs. On page eleven, a chipboard element makes a great tuck spot for another photo booklet. Page twelve and the back cover. Use a chipboard element for a tuck spot on page twelve. For the inside back cover, create a large pocket, as shown. Trim black cardstock to 7 1/4" x 4 1/2". Score on three sides at 1/2" from the edges. Fold the tabs, then add adhesive to the tabs and attach the pocket to the inside back cover as shown. Trim decorative cardstock to 6" x 3 7/8" and attach to the pocket. Use a circle punch to cut a notch on pocket edge. Decorate the pocket and place tags or other items into the pocket. (Too see all the tags for this project, view the video linked above.) I always decorate my front cover LAST. I am pretty rough on the covers while I am decorating the inside, so I like to save the covers until the end. Use a section of the Lost in Paradise Signature Sheet for the front cover. You need to cut a piece that is just slightly smaller than 6 1/4" x 6 1/4". I cut a piece of computer paper to size, and used that as a template to select the portion of the signature sheet that I wanted. This step saves wasting paper with false cuts! I fussy cut two postage images and popped them up on a few pieces of scrap chipboard to give the upper left corner of the cover some interest. I fussy cut lots of flowers, a bird, and a butterfly from the various papers and then layered them in the lower left corner of the cover. I added a few Matte Pearl Gems to the flower centers. The cover is fairly simple, but very striking with all that lovely paper. Cut paper for the spine and back cover and attach. I added a chipboard piece and more pearl gems to the spine. I used ombre sheer ribbon throughout the book. I used a yellow/pink ombre and a yellow/parrot green ombre. (Really Reasonable Ribbon has some lovely Sheer Ombre Ribbons.) I love seeing the ribbon peek out around the edges! Thanks for joining me today! Hi everyone. Laurie here from the design team with my Graphic 45 Ocean Blue Waterfall Album. For my second project, I wanted to make something that I could add my favorite photos from my time spent in the San Diego area to. The Ocean Blue collection by Graphic 45 is so perfect! Ocean Blue Waterfall Album Album Details I used weight chipboard to create my cover. Next, I covered the chipboard with ivory linen cardstock and, matted the patterned paper with navy card stock. I only sponged ink on the edges of the patterned paper. I had some "ribbon" in my stash that resembled netting so I added a strip to the cover. After that, I used the circle die cut element and fussy cut the seahorse and fish from the Cozumel sheet. I used a die from my stash to create some "seaweed" for the fish to swim through, and jazzed up the corners with some of the Matte Pearl Gems. Inside of the Album On the inside, I added two waterfalls (one on each cover piece) with regular Graphic 45 tags as the closures. I then used some lightweight twine to tie them closed. Right Waterfall Left Waterfall Each waterfall has the same papers from the Graphic 45 Ocean Blue 12x12 Collection Pack on each page. I added a navy mat to the tag closures using the G45 Regular Tag and Gears Die Set. Then, I added some patterned paper and a small cut apart to each one. I added a full mat to the top page, a 3/8-inch strip to cover the scored flap, and a 3/4-inch strip to the bottom of each page using the tan striped sheet from the Ocean Blue Patterns and Solids Collection. On the back of the pages I added a 3/4-inch strip at the top (when flipped up). Open Waterfall Individual Waterfall Pages A Special Addition I wanted to add something for special journaling to this album so I used the lined booklet from the Graphic 45 Notebook Set. I covered the outside and inside of the covers with papers from the 12x12 collection pad and added some elements from the Stickers and Die Cut Assortment found here. Travel Journal Cover So, on the back cover of the Travel Journal I added my favorite piece from the Ocean Blue Ephemera Pack... Back of Travel Journal I added two eyelets to the spine and attached the journal using some heavy baker's twine from my stash. Finally, I tied on some fun nautical trinkets that I found online to give it vintage finishing touch. Spine with Trinkets I had so much fun making this album. The Graphic 45 Ocean Blue Waterfall Album may look complicated but is surprisingly simple to put together. I will have all of the details and some step by step helps on my blog at laurieslazydaydesigns.blogspot.com I can't wait to add my photos of whale watching, seals, and sunny days spent by the bay to these fun little waterfalls! It is sure to be a great way to relive those wonderful memories. I hope you are inspired to create a keepsake album of your own. Graphic 45 really came through with this collection! I could almost smell the ocean when I was working with it! See you soon with another fun project! If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know that I've been whining about being sick. Despite feeling like death on a stick, I've been really productive. Working has been a distraction from feeling terrible. (Don't worry, I'm feeling positively perky today.) One of the things that popped off my work table was a collection of little fairy tins. There's not much to these cuties. They're made with "Fairie Dust", inexpensive clear topped tins, a whole lot of fussy cutting. I started by fiddling around with just one wee tin... then quickly went through the entire half dozen I had on hand. I got so carried away I even made a tutorial so that you can join me in my madness. My voice is pathetic because I'm sick, and the lighting is horrendous because I really didn't plan on making a tutorial for these, but the How-To vid can be found over HERE. You can absolutely make these with any tin or box. The tutorial gives a technique for covering an object with curved edges. These are made with the "Fairie Dust" collection save for the wee yellow butterflies from "Flutter" and these Wee Wings Transparency Want to make your own? Good! Here are all the bits you'll need: Graphic 45 Fairie Dust Graphic 45 Flutter Wee Wings Transparency Small metal tin Good quality white glue (I use Aleene's tacky glue) Hot glue White acrylic paint Adhesive foam squares A pinch of glitter And here's that tutorial link again... HERE. And remember, if you're feeling inspired and make your own, please tag me! I really appreciate the shout out, and I absolutely love to see the things you make. xoxo

I am so thrilled that By the Sea is back as as a Deluxe Collector's Edition! I'm going on a cruise the end of March so I made this Traveler's Journal styled mini to preserve my vacation memories. The Collection includes a page of cut-aparts printed on both sides. I used these to embellish the front and back covers of my journal. Layer up the cut-aparts with other design papers for a stunning presentation Tip: Give your cover that "extra" look by popping up the cut-apart with dimensional foam tape. Or, to save on supply costs, use cardboard as a backing to pop it up. Another cut-apart tip: This collection includes design paper that is printed on both sides with the same sized cut-aparts. Just cut the paper in half horizontally, fold accordion style and you have an instant pull out page. This journal is wider than many at 1 1/2" wide. I started with Eileen Hull Designs by Sizzix journal die and cut two journal covers. Instead of assembling using just the two covers, I made a spine by cutting a piece of chipboard 1 1/2" wide and the same length as the journal covers. Then I glued the two journal covers to the spine side by side. (The spine should fit perfectly between the outer score lines where the covers fold.) Cut another piece of thin (like shirt packaging) cardboard and glue to the inside of the spine. This makes the spine nice and strong. Use a Crop-a-dile to punch holes in the spine using the already die-cut holes as a guide. At this point string the elastic as you do for an Traveler's Notebook styled journal. Here's a link to a traditionally made Traveler's Notebook using Graphic 45's Imagination Collection. I've recorded a video flip through of the mini so that you can see all of the pages. I used a simple design on the back cover, using another cut-apart, so that the journal would store easily. Instead of wrapping the journal with an elastic band, I used long lengths of seam binding. You can either wrap ribbon around the journal as I have done in the above photo, or simply tie it and let the long ribbon tails dangle as in the top photos. This journal will hold 4 signatures but I have only included 3 so that there is lots of room inside. The signatures are the individual books inside this journal and they are quickly bound inside with elastic thread that is secured to the book's spine. Tip: If you don't want the elastic to show on your outer spine, cut a piece of chipboard to fit the spine, cover with design paper and glue to fit over the spine. Add a fun chain of charms as an embellishment. I am so crazy about Graphic 45's new Rose Bouquet Collection!! The ones I used here are Bon Voyage & French Blue, aren't they just fabulously gorgeous and so perfectly matched to G45's colors. The flowers also come with the greenery you see underlying the roses. I have been waiting for Graphic 45 to come out with another country collection, and they hit a home run with the NEW Farmhouse Collection! It is just beautiful and so very farm-ish! {smile} Granted, I have zero reasons to need a farm themed collection, other than I love farmhouse style and decor! We just repainted our kitchen cabinets so that I can switch from the late 1990's Tuscan/Mediterranean style that came with our house to a more modern farmhouse style! Every time I come into the new space, it is FLOODED with light and seems so much larger and happier! The dark cherry stained cabinets were faded and many were damaged. The kitchen is over 18 years old, and after years of wear and tear, they needed an update. The cabinets have been painted a creamy white and farmhouse style knobs and pulls were added. I am getting started on the decor. (One rooster painting...check!) We have plans for new stools and a new kitchen dining set. I will share a full post of the renovation once I have it all decorated, which will probably not happen until after the COVID-19 shut-down! I need to shop in PERSON! Now, on to the real post...the Farmhouse album! This album is a bit of a copy cat from an album I made a few years ago. The 8" x 8" size is so awesome, however you need a TON of paper to make it happen. I only attempt this size when I have loads of matching paper. (To see the original album, click HERE.) I hate even calling this a mini because it is so large! It is 8" x 8" x 2". The inside has four "stacked" pages! There are lots of pockets and flips and pull-outs! Such a large mini requires a lot of cardstock and decorative paper! I used one 25-pack of black cardstock and one half of a 25-pack of ivory cardstock (for photo mats)! For the decorative paper I used: 12x12 Farmhouse, 12x12 Farmhouse Patterns and Solids, 8x8 Farmhouse, 12x12 Domestic Goddess (a few sheets), 12x12 Home Sweet Home (soon to be available in a Deluxe Collector's Edition!), 8x8 Home Sweet Home, 6x6 Home Sweet Home Patterns and Solids, 12x12 French Country, 8x8 French Country, 6x6 French Country Patterns and Solids. I added in the extra papers so that the Farmhouse paper would "stretch." You can only get one full 8" x 8" section from each 12" x 12" paper, so you MUST plan well! Here is a view of the spine. I constructed this album in the same way I do most of my made-from-scratch albums. For details on how to construct albums of this style, please search my blog or find your favorite designer who has YouTube videos. Note: The covers are 8" x 8" and the spine is 8" x 2". The inside pages are 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" and there are four hinges. Cut the decorative paper to fit the front cover and the spine. Add a chipboard element to the spine. Choose a Farmhouse ephemera card for the cover art. Decorate with flowers, charms, and other embellishments as desired. Cut paper for the back cover and attach one of the Farmhouse die cuts to the bottom center of the back cover. You are now ready to add your pages. I cut the base pages from black cardstock, sized to 7 3/4" x 7 3/4". For each hinge, I cut TWO base pages, gluing them together with the hinge sandwiched between. I only glued around three edges so that each page could have a side pocket. (The video linked below will show how the side pockets work.) I attached the pages to the hinges, making 4 pages, 8 sides. Each page may have a pocket, flip up, or pull out portion. (See below.) The inside front cover contains a large pocket, 4" x 8". Page 1 also has a pocket, sized 3" x 7 3/4". I love having a nice, deep pocket for the inside front cover so I can add a lot of photo mats or memorabilia. I created various sized photo mats and also used G45 regular and square tags. I mixed and matched the papers and all the embellishments. To make things easier, I also used the G45 Tag Dies to cut the paper for the tags. Page 1 has a side pull-out mat that measures 6 3/4" x 6 3/4". All of the side pull-outs are the same size. The page has a pocket holding photo mats, tags, and photo cards that are perfect for the 4" x 3" ephemera cards. I also added a photo mat above the pocket. (To view the interactive pages, check out the video attached below!) Here is a view of Pages 2 and 3. I used ivory photo mats throughout the album. Page 2 has a side flip-out, 4" wide. When creating the flaps, add a 1/2" scored tab to the side that attaches to the base page. Simply cut the cardstock 1/2" longer or wider than your required measurement, score at 1/2" from the edge to create the tab. A 4" x 6" photo will fit the photo mat on the base page. Page 3 has a top flip-up with a large pocket hidden underneath. The top flap measures 6 1/4" x 7 3/4". The pocket is 3" x 7 3/4". There is plenty of room for photo mats and photo cards. I used all different styles of photo mat - circles, squares, and rectangles. This will make it easy to add tons of photos! Pages 4 and 5. Page 4 has a side side pull-out mat, plus a divided page flip-out. Each of the flip-outs has a pocket. Page 5 has a triple flip-up and a side side pull-out photo mat The side flip pages are 3 3/4" x 6 1/2" (plus a 1/2" score on the right edges to make the attachment tabs). The little pockets are 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" and hold ATC tags and 4" x 3" photo cards. The flaps open to revel space for photos. Page 5 has a side pocket and a pull-out photo mat, plus a triple flip up/down area for more photos. Note: I made a mistake with this section by gluing the chipboard chicken sign off center! I had to improvise the center flip area to make the chipboard look centered. The flaps fit 4" x 6" photos, ephemera cards, or decorative paper. You can see that my center panel is cut wider to fix the chicken issue! Pages 6 and 7. Page 6 has a side flip-out containing a pocket. The little pocket is 2 1/2" x 4". The page has a large pocket (3" x 7 3/4") to hold all sorts of things! Page 7 has a top flip-up and a bottom flip-up! The pocket for Page 6 holds lots of photo mats and little 4" x 3" photo books. The flaps for Page 7 are 4 1/2" x 7 3/4", plus you need to add the 1/2" tab to attach them to the base page. Once both flaps are open, you can see the large mat on the base page. Page 8 contains a side side pull-out mat and a fun waterfall element, with a hidden pocket! I have created many waterfall pages, here is one example to help you make yours. For the Farmhouse waterfall, I made the pages all different sizes, rather than making them all the same. The inside back cover contains a large pocket, the same measurements as the front cover pocket. More photo mats, tags, and photo cards! Check out all the interactive elements by watching this video! I hope you enjoyed the "show-off" video of all the pages! Thanks for joining me today! The end of summer always makes me think of The Fair! All my life, until recent years, I spent time at the State Fair in the areas where I've lived. Since moving to Southern California, we've been to the San Diego fair only once. I miss the old-fashioned fairs of my childhood. However, I have such a passion for the World's Fairs of the past. The Graphic 45 World's Fair Collection is the perfect collection to use for creating a mini album. This collection has many images and sentiments that make decorating a mini album fun and easy! Paper bag mini albums are always popular, and the addition of Graphic 45 Tag Staples makes this one the star of the fair! This mini is approximately 5 3/8" x 5 1/8" with a 1/2" spine. A bit of cord keeps the book together for display purposes. The style of the album is a "fan mini" meaning that it has a small binding, allowing the album to "fan out" when it is sitting on a desk or table. Each of the paper bag pockets contains one Graphic 45 Regular Kraft Tag. Each of the tags is decorated with images cut from the paper. Some of the tags contain pockets and journaling spots. The backs of the tags are suitable for adding photos. Each page of the mini is chock full of tags and journaling spots, and just amazing goodness! The video slideshow below has images of every page! The tags pull out, and are themselves works of art! Each tag is perfect for use in the mini album, or they can be removed and used to embellish scrapbook pages, gift bags, or packages! Some of the tags hold smaller tags and journaling spots! The are lots of flip-out pages and pockets. This little project is simple to create, but packs a lot of style! To create the album base, select four paper lunch bags. Fold each bag in half to create a surface approximately 5 3/8" x 5 1/4". Trim two pieces of medium weight chipboard to 5" x 5 1/4" to act as the front and back covers. Create a spine from kraft cardstock 16" x 5 1/4", score at every inch and accordion fold. Stack the folded lunch bags together, one atop the other. Glue one piece of chipboard to the top of the first bag. Glue the second piece of chipboard to the back of the fourth bag. Glue the lunch bags to the accordion fold spine, skipping every other "valley." Glue a piece of cardstock, cut to 5 1/4" x 4", to cover the spine. Decorate the cover as shown. For more details, see the video slideshow below. Use flowers and metal items to create interest on the cover. The back cover is plain. Add a jump ring to the back cover, and then tie some cord to it. Slip the cord around to the front of the album and loop over the tiny "handle" on the front cover. For a look at the complete project, view the slideshow! See the slideshow on YouTube HERE. Hi! Have you been watching Graphic 45's sneak peeks? Do you have a favorite yet? I do. Don't tell anyone, but Portrait of a Lady is my favorite! I just love the color scheme and elegant imagery. It totally makes me think I'm in a Jane Austen book. Hence the inspiration for my mini album on the Graphic 45 blog today. My husband got me Petaloo flowers for Christmas. Lucky me, the ones he picked worked perfectly for all of my Creativation projects, including this album! Hello Crafty Friends. Today is a special day at I'm a Little Teapot: this post is my audition for the Graphic 45 2018 Ambassador Team! I am a huge cheerleader for Graphic 45. I love using their product on my crafty projects as the paper collections are full of beautiful, timeless patterns that make my heart smile. Their albums make it simple to create gorgeous Graphic 45 projects and I adore their metal embellishments. And now, the cherry on top: they have metal dies! As you can probably guess, I am happy and honored to try out to be a Brand Ambassador. Below are two projects I would like to submit for the Brand Ambassador Audition. I do hope you enjoy the projects as much as I enjoyed making them! Project 1: Enchanted Forest album For my first project I would like to share an album created using Graphic 45's Enchanted Forest collection, Artisan Style collection and Kraft album. Below are photos from the album. Also shared is a video of the album showing all of the pocket inserts and other details. Album video: Details of front cover: Inside front cover: Album pages and pockets: The final pocket and inside of back cover. Project 2: Seasons fancy fold card with instructions For my second project, I would like to share an easy to make fancy fold card using the Seasons paper collection: The card is fun to make and you will find yourself making several! Let's jump right in... Materials list (all dimensions in inches): Seasons 8 x 8 pages Spring and Spring Collective 5 x 12 card stock for base (purple) 3 x 4.25 card stock (yellow) 3.75 x 4.75 ivory patterned paper (there are many ivory Graphic 45 choices) or card stock Double sided foam tape Double sided tape Liquid adhesive Ribbon Scoreboard Fussy cutting scissors Optional: ink or metallic markers for edging, embellishments Instructions (all dimensions in inches): Cut four 1.75 x 4.75 rectangles from back of Spring paper. I do hope you enjoyed both projects. Creating with Graphic 45 product is a pleasure and I really appreciate you stopping by my little place in the blogosphere! Have a happy, crafty day! This Graphic 45 Imagine Fun Flip Folio is me on paper! Lots of fussy cut details, whimsical images and interactve elements with my best papercrafting tips.
I made this little mini album for a very special little girl born September 19th of this year. She was born with Harlequin Ichthyosis. She is such a special little lady and I wanted to make her something that may be a keepsake when she is grown. I chose the Graphic 45 collection called "Precious Memories". I not only love the paper but thought it was perfect for this project. The album is held closed with a metal latch lock and has a handle on top for easy removal from the small base. All papers were inked in Chestnut Roan chalk from Colorbox. I used flowers from Wild Orchid and misc pearls to decorate throughout. I added stickles for a little bling! The words "Precious and Baby" are outlined in liquid pearls to help them stand out more. I chose to make a box album that would sit in a stand. I had learned the drop down sides and the construction of pages from patterns created by Cristi/ Paper Hoarder Disorder. I order her "Boxed Mini Album" where she teaches how to make the pages and do the drop down sides. When you lift it off the base and open the latch, you can see there are lots of pages ready for them to add photos and journaling and anything else they may want to put in this little album. On the inside cover I used one of the cut outs from the collection. I cut the flourishes with my cricut and topped them with stickles. I added Wink of Stella ink to the writing on the little card to give it some sheen too. The flap opens to reveal a photo mat and a place to journal. The next page holds a tag with a pocket which holds a smaller tag. It also has a little fold out for another photo and more journaling. Both fold outs are held shut with tiny magnets. The next pages are made up of a foldout on each. I cut the hearts out with a die set I have. I fussy cut the words out of the paper. I punched out a few leaves, added a flower and some pearls and stickles to finish these pages. The fold out opens when you lift the flowered flap. They also are held closed with magnets. You can also lift the entire foldout up the other direction to expose photo mats. This next set of pages contain a gate fold opening that is held closed with a metal flourish and magnets. The other page is just a folder held closed with magnets also. I added pearls and stickles for a little bling on these pages too. These pages are made with match book type folder. Each has a pocket with one of the cutouts from the collection. They also are held closed with magnets. When you open the matchbook flap, I also added a lift up page for added photos or journaling. The next two pages are mirror image waterfalls. This will give lots more room for photos of precious Harper. The closing flap is once again held shut with magnets. These pages are mirror pocket pages. The pockets each contain a folder which opens for more space. I just love this paper collection and think the little paper doll clothes are just too cute. I used a MS punch for the border on the pockets and finished it off with pearls. The last page and back of the book are very simple. The page has a pocket that holds two of the cards from the collection. The back is a large oval mat. The heart is free standing so a photo will slide under. I used the flaps to put her name so the book will be more personalized. I covered the letters with stickles. Each page has a folder that contains a pocket on the front. I left them plain on the inside for photos. The sides and back is decorated with cutouts from the collection. This paper has been lots of fun to work with. I love Graphic 45 papers anyway but must say that the sweet images in this collection are some of my favorites. I constructed the base out of black chip board. It is used to contain the side flaps as well as to display the album. The metal legs lift it off the surface and I think compliment the hinge lock and handle. Thanks so much for stopping by. I do appreciate your visit. May God bless you and keep you safe. Please pray for little Harper as she has a lot of medical problems in her future. I encourage you to take time to research HI if you do not know what it is.
