Are you ready for more inspiration with MFT's Flowers in Bloom Card Kit? This fabulous kit will go on sale tomorrow, June 25th at 10AM EST in the MFT Store. I'll have to admit to not being a "flower person" but these flowers are so easy to color in whatever coloring medium you choose and they make me feel like I know what I'm doing. 😉 For today's card, I white embossed the blooms on watercolor card stock then colored them in with Zig markers and a water brush. When the panel was dry, I cut them out with the matching Die-namics. I ink distressed a separate panel with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink then spattered it with water. A frame was adhered over it and the panel was adhered to a Grout Gray card base. I added the blooms and finished off with the white embossed sentiment. Welcome to Day Two of MFT’s June Card Kit, Flowers in Bloom! Don’t forget to check by the MFT Blog for all the kit details! For today’s card, I started with a piece of watercolor paper from my stash on which I’d heat embossed Mini Hearts Background in gold. I’d planned to use gold on this card so it was perfect as a starting place. I applied a watercolor wash using the Color Burst powders in the kit then adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base when it was dry. I heat embossed the flowers on Translucent Vellum with gold embossing powder and popped them up with clear foam tape just behind the flower centers so it doesn’t show. Next I heat embossed a sentiment from the set on the Free with $60 Folded Fishtail Banner Die-namics along with part of a sentiment from From the Heart Stamp Set. Three more die cuts were cut from white card stock and adhered together with the colored image on top to form a thick chipboard piece. A strip of dotted patterned paper was adhered to the card base. The flower stems were trimmed to fit a landscape card and adhered to the card. I stamped the sentiment and finished off the card with black enamel dots. I added a strip of Black & White Stripes Paper Pack to a Sweet Tooth card stock base then popped more Sweet Tooth card stock for the card front on foam tape. Then I heat embossed the sentiment from the set on Black Licorice card stock cut with the mid-month Free with $60 Folded Fishtail Banner Die-namics and popped it up on foam. This month's Card Kit from My Favorite Things is full of floral and watercolor goodness! Here's a peek at Flowers in Bloom, which goes on sale Tuesday, June 25th at 10AM EST in the MFT Store. For a detailed description of the Kit's contents, visit today's post at MFT. For today's card, I white embossed the flowers, slightly off center on watercolor card stock. I "dropped" color into each petal with a Zig marker, then added water to help the color spread. I trimmed the panel and adhered it to a Limelight card base. The "hello" was also cut from Limelight card stock and inked on the bottom before being adhered to the card. A strip of diagonal striped pattern paper was adhered under the sentiment and the card was finished off with sequins. Hello and welcome back to a new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Amy Rohl is our hostess and she has given us a classic color palette to work with. All I could think of when I saw these color was flowers, LOL! So I got out the recently released Flowers in Bloom Stamp Set and Die-namics ‘cause I thought they would look good in red :) I stamped them on No Line Coloring Card Stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers. I added a Sweet Tooth card stock panel, popped up on foam tape, to a Kraft card stock card base then adhered some Black & White Stripes Paper Pad for some contrast. Then I adhered the flowers with foam tape and added the sentiment, from Anything-but-Basic Encouragement Stamp Set, heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Fishtail Flag Trio Die-namics, also adhered with foam tape. Hi, my friends! Happy Valentine's Day to all my gal-entines! I have two cards, for two different challenges today … first up, The Flower Challenge #41: I was so lucky to win their challenge recently, and I couldn't wait to download my prize from AlexSyberia! Thank you, Alex! I chose her gorgeous Clematis digital image... then set about fussy cutting it down to one bloom, and coloring that with Copic markers. My leaves [from The Stamp Market] added were very simple, and simply colored in shades of neutral grey. There's that MFT Elegant Rectangle again! a pretty sentiment from Altenew's Freesia, and a smattering of Pinkfresh Studio Essentials Jewels! I really love how this turned out … hope you do, too! Next up, another little flower card, and btw I even added leaves to this one!! MFT has an ongoing Birthday Project Challenge. I have need of a few birthday cards, and who doesn't love flowers on their big day? Inside: Happy is good every day of the year, but especially nice on your birthday! I've partially die cut these Flowers in Bloom that are simple in their design, and very simple to color... today I've chosen Distress Oxides … and added leaves from Altenew's Sunflower Daisy set, and a happy sentiment from Sweet Birthday Wishes! Hello and welcome to Day One of MFT’s August Card Kit, Beautiful Bloom. Release is on Tuesday, August 21st at 10am Eastern (note new release time) so mark your calendars now. And be sure to check by the MFT Blog for all the details. OMGosh! I am head over heels in love with this kit! Beautiful Bloom Stamp Set and Die-namics can be used so many ways, and Beautiful Die-namics made me swoon! And did I mention Essential Slanted Sentiment Strips?? Be still my beating heart!!! This seriously is one of my very favorite card kits EVER. For today’s card I wanted to do Beautiful Die-namics in a rainbow and thought that would best be displayed on a sort of neutral background. So, I stamped Beautiful Bloom multiple times on No-Line Coloring Card Stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink and colored them images with Cool Gray Copic markers and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Next I cut Beautiful Die-namics from No-Line Coloring Card Stock and colored it in a rainbow pattern then adhered it to the coordinating mat. This is the first time I’ve used this particular rainbow combo and I’m loving it. Also LOVE the mat! Next I heat embossed the sentiment from Hello, Beautiful Stamp Set on Black Licorice card stock and popped it up on foam, then popped the rainbow sentiment on top. Hi everyone! Happy Monday! I have another card to share with you today using the FABULOUS Flowers In Bloom Card Kit! I LOVE this kit SO much!!! I had SO much fun creating this card! I began with a panel of Ken Oliver Watercolor Paper cut using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics. I spritzed the panel with water and then tapped on colors from the Tropical Teal and Jellybean Green Color Burst Watercolors. I spritzed the panel again with water and created the background. I LOVE these Color Burst Watercolors so much! Once the panel was dry, I stamped the flowers from Flowers In Bloom using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, and I then stamped "hi" I cut a panel of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics, and the main panel of Smooth White Card Stock was cut using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics as well. I layered the stamped panel and the Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock panel offset of each other, popping them up with foam tape. I finished the card with a trio of enamel dots. The new box card challenge is up. I really had no idea what to do with a floral theme until I just sat down and colored a bunch of flower images, then this card started forming in my head. I think I like it. Unfortunately, this stamp set is no longer available, but the idea doesn't care what flowers you use, so anything you like will work. I added a few bees, and the leaves are some of my favorites from yet another set (list below). Finally, the little girl patiently waiting to see her sister again, is from the new release set, Sittin Pretty by Birdie Brown for My Favorite Things. Hello friends. I'm glad you stopped by. Last week I shared a photo of my homework for the Online Card Class Coloring Challenge Road Trip class. I've tweaked it and have a finished card. I added some dots with a white gel pen. I think that little bit made the flowers really pop. I also added some gems to cover some not so nice areas from my shadow around the flowers. The Flowers in Bloom Card Kit includes the following products: Flowers in Bloom Stamp Set Flowers in Bloom Die-namics Flower Fresh Color Burst Trio Ken Oliver Watercolor Paper (4 Sheets) Card Stock - Smooth White (1), Black Licorice (1), Tropical Teal (1), Coral Crush (1), Jellybean Green (1) This kit is perfect for watercoloring but I had to come out of the gate sharing a clean and simple card. I simply stamped the flower image, then die cut the flowers. I ran the die cut through a 2nd time with fun foam. Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! It's time! The AWESOME new Flowers In Bloom Card Kit has just been released from MFT! YAY! I LOVE this kit! I started with a panel of Ken Oliver Watercolor Paper and cut it using A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics. I created the background using Coral Crush Color Burst powder watercolor! LOVE!!! I stamped "hello" from Flowers In Bloom using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. The flowers were cut from Ken Oliver Watercolor Paper using the Flowers In Bloom Die-namics, and stamped them with Flowers In Bloom using Versamark Ink. I heat embossed the flowers using white embossing powder. I watercolored the flowers with Tropical Teal, Jellybean Green and Coral Crush Color Burst Powders. I chose a sentiment from last month's Essential Sentiments stamp set; its simplicity keeps it from competing with the bolder flowers visually, and it reminds me of type from a label maker when embossed in white embossing powder on any darker cardstock--pure nostalgia! I used my Sweet Celebration Paper Pack for choosing flower colors, and then stamped and die-cut a fresh little bouquet for a special birthday card.
