So, this is my entry for MFT's current Wednesday Sketch Challenge! I was planning on entering this into their birthday challenge as well and totally goofed when I added a sentiment of thanks instead of birthday greetings. Guess that means I have to create another card - lol! On a stifling hot day, that won't be hard to do. I started with a background using 3 different patterned papers from MFT's Black and White Basics 6x6" pad...one of my favorite go-to pads! I stamped the Flowers in Bloom image twice in Memento Tuxedo Black then in Versamark so I could clear emboss the image. I colored with Zigs (the clear embossing makes it so much easier to stay in the lines). Thanks for stopping by and stay cool everyone! ~Wanda

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started. I thought a bouquet of Flower Silhouette images would look good on this sketch so I proceeded with it :) First I stamped the images with Black Licorice dye ink and cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics. Next I prepped the background, dry embossing Sweet Tooth card stock with Inward Elements Stencil then spattering it with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and black acrylic ink, then adhering it to a Kraft card stock base with foam tape. ' Next I cut Tall Tags Die-namics from Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock and sponged it with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and spattered with clean water, then popped it up on the card front with foam tape. The bundle of images was tied together with hemp cord, along with a Stitched Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics cut from Kraft card stock and stamped with a sentiment from Main Squeeze Stamp Set and adhered to the card front. And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance! Thanks for stopping by! See you soon! All products from My Favorite Things unless otherwise noted. Welcome to another sketch challenge from My Favorite Things. For this week's sketch, I've used the Main Squeeze stamps and dies along with the Distressed Patterns splatter stamp. I really like how this turned out. Also made a coordinating envelope since I had a few pieces that didn't fit on the card front. Isn't the yellow pretty? I'm not usually a fan of yellow, but since they are lemons.... LOL. Only needed foam tape on the top most piece as there is plenty of dimension and texture from the leaves stuck into the chicken wire die cut. This is what started it. :) Product list: My Favorite Things, Main Squeeze stamps *retired My Favorite Things, Main Squeeze dies *retired My Favorite Things, Distressed Patterns My Favorite Things, Smooth White cardstock My Favorite Things, Black & White Stripe 6x6 paper pad My Favorite Things, Lemon Drop dye ink cube Hero Arts, Chain linked Fancy Die Copic, Xpress it blending card Copic, Sketch Markers YG17 YG21 YG23 Y00 Y02 Y18 Foam tape

Hello again! I'm popping in today to share a project that was inspired by this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge! It's a lovely sketch, and lends itself perfectly to my favorite kind of design - clean and simple, with a little bit of graphic thrown in for good measure! Here's this week's sketch: And here's my interpretation of the sketch: I used the Gift Tag Die-Namics to create the dome-shaped aperture from a 4" x 5.25" Smooth White panel. I adhered some rainbow-order strips (colors listed below) that I created using the Straight-Up Rainbow Die-Namics onto the card base so that they aligned towards the left side of the aperture. I die cut the Scripty Smile Die-Namics, three times from Smooth White and once from Black Licorice card stock, and I adhered the layers together with a glue pen. I die cut some of the flowers, stems and leaves from Smooth White using the Stitched Garden Die-Namics. I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below. Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the fabulous projects that my fellow teammates have created for this week's Sketch Challenge. And while you're there, why not link up your own take on this week's Sketch Challenge for a chance to win $50 MFT Bucks to be used at the MFT Online Boutique! It's a random draw, so everyone that plays has a chance to win! That'll do it for me today, folks! I'll be back very soon with more crafty stuff. Until then, thanks for stopping by and have a great day! MFT PRODUCTS USED:
Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started. I didn’t want to add strips of card stock or patterned paper so I looked around for something I could stamp for the vertical elements and came up with this: Distressed Patterns has this awesome image that worked perfectly when stamped in three colors! I love these three colors together: Sour Apple, Blu Raspberry, and Orange Zest and carried them throughout my design. I added Fab Foliage Die-namics cut from Sour Apple card stock and chose a dragonfly from Fluttering Friends Stamp Set for the focal point. It was stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and added to the foliage with foam tape for dimension. The sentiment from the set was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics, popped up on foam and I finished off with some matching enamel dots. And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week! The new box card challenge is up. I really had no idea what to do with a floral theme until I just sat down and colored a bunch of flower images, then this card started forming in my head. I think I like it. Unfortunately, this stamp set is no longer available, but the idea doesn't care what flowers you use, so anything you like will work. I added a few bees, and the leaves are some of my favorites from yet another set (list below). Finally, the little girl patiently waiting to see her sister again, is from the new release set, Sittin Pretty by Birdie Brown for My Favorite Things. Folded flat to show how easy the box cards are to mail. Copics used for this card. Product List: My Favorite Things, Level Up box card dies (link also includes video for assembling) My Favorite Things, Outside the box grass dies My Favorite Things, Springtime Blooms stamps and dies (flowers and sentiment) *no longer available My Favorite Things, Main Squeeze (leaves) My Favorite Things, Meant to Bee (bees) *no longer available My Favorite Things, Sittin Pretty (girl) My Favorite Things, Sweet Succulents (heart) *no longer available My Favorite Things, Smooth White cardstock Copic, Xpress it blending card Copic, Sketch Markers Foam tape, acetate strips, wink of Stella clear (bees wings)
