Hello everyone! This is my latest DT project to alexandra RENK Thank you for visiting the blog. www.instagram.com/jiwonarts/ www.youtube.com...
Good morning stampers, Cynthia here with Ink a Doodle Creations. I am so excited to be sharing my project with you today. If you remember from our Christmas in July post last week, I made a cute little note card holder that was decorated with the Joyful Christmas stamp set. I had colored it with our new Stampin' Up! Blendabilities. If not, click the link above and you can go check it out. Well like I promised, I have the quick tutorial on how I made the little note card box and pictures of the 2nd design, which I promised also!! No sneak peek either, you have to wait til the end for the finished project!! Step 1: cut your choice in colored cardstock to a 6-1/2" x 6-1/2" piece. I will explain why that size in the next step. I wanted my box to fit my note card size of 3-1/2" x 5", but wanted the box to be a little shorter so the note cards could be seen from the outside. I went with a 3-1/2" square size to start with. Now when wanting to make a box to hold cards and envelopes, think about how thick you need it then add that onto your cutting and scoring measurements. My thickness is only a 1/2", so I cut my cardstock to 6-1/2" square. Step 2: So the envelope punch board says your first score/punch measurement is 3", and that is just what you will do. Punch and score at the 3" line. now you are going to once again add that 1/2" measurement and slide your cardstock to the 3-1/2" line, punch and score. Step 3: Now turn your cardstock to the next side and using the score line guide, line it up with the first line, punch and score. Then slide it over to the second line, punch and score again. Continue this same step for the other two sides. Now you won't be folding all four sides of the box, so if you are funny about having scored lines when you don't need them, you can skip this step on one side. It doesn't matter which, cause the box is square. Step 4: Now the Envelope Punch Board has a built in handy dandy corner rounder. You can now round each corner if you would like. Step 5: Fold on all the scored lines except for the one side that is gonna be your top of the box. Now I would normally use redline tape on boxes, but now since we have the Fast Fuse adhesive (its the bomb!) its not as easy to show you where I put the adhesive at, but you can kinda see the shimmer off the right hand side flap of the box. If you can't, I have the bone folder and scissor tips pointing to the two flaps where you need adhesive. Step 6: Depending if you are a righty or a lefty, doesn't matter which (even though its been proven that lefties are the only ones in their right minds - can you guess which one I am!?!) Fold in the LEFT hand side first, then fold in the right! LOL! Now that all sides are glued and folded in, you can now decorate how ever you wish. Now are you ready to see how I decorated this set??? So this is my 2nd finished note card set all ready to be given away to one of my youngest sons teachers for this year. Never to early to start thinking of handmade Christmas/Holiday gifts. I just love snowflakes and the Festival Flurry stamp set and its matching framelit set. On this set, I also colored the snowflakes with the coastal cabana blendabilities. The 2-1/2" x 11" whisper white belly band is embossed with the large polka dotted folder. I then used my finger dauber to add some smoky slate color to each circle. My "thank you" sentiment comes from the Petite Pairs stamp set. I wrapped and tied a simple bow around the box with the thick coastal cabana bakers twine. On the inside of my box, I have four matching note cards, stamped with simple snowflakes. There is also room for four envelopes. I hope you have enjoyed my project and tutorial. I hope you got INKspired to go create your own set! Supplies Used Cardstock ~ whisper white, smoky slate, coastal cabana, silver glimmer paper (retired) Ink ~ momento ink, coastal cabana, smoky slate Blendabilities ~ coastal cabana Stamp set ~ festival flurry, petite pairs Misc. ~ basic rhinestones, coastal cabana thick bakers twine, envelope punch board, polka dot embossing folder

Today's MISM project is a little late, but I wanted to first post a photo of the latest tutorial available at Craft Project Central. I mentioned in that post that I enjoy learning to make boxes, and such was the case with this little basket. Actually, I made a larger version of a Bag in a Box using the Envelope Punch Board and, instead of giving it a boxy shape, I turned it into a basket. My designer paper was 7-1/2" square, and I punched and scored at 1-3/4" and then slid the paper over to the 5" measurement and punched and scored again. After that, I just used the previously scored lines to determine where to punch and score on the remaining three sides of the paper. I used Stampin' Up!'s Pomp & Circumstance stamp set and a piece of taffeta ribbon to decorate the box. Easy peasy and ready to fill. SHOP WITH ME, PLEASE Now is the time to dust off the Wish List and place your order because there will be NO SHIPPING CHARGES from April 21 thru April 25. Welcome back to the Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are just starting on our August 2015 box from Stampin' UP. This box was FULL of more BRAND NEW products from the Stampin' UP 2015-2016 Annual Catalog!!!!! Remember that every Thursday of each week, all 14 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my 1st projects for August.... This week we were to use one of the cute bundle offers on Page 64 in the Stampin' UP Annual Catalog! Why use one when you can show off both of them? Here is the Happy Notes Stamp set with the Lots of Labels Framelit Dies Bundle and here is my card that I created with them.... With two weddings coming up, I need some cards to give. I had this idea to take the Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper and color in the mini hearts with Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Smoky Slate Stampin Write Markers. This gave me a base for my wedding themed card. These framelits are quickly becoming a favorite of mine! Plan to see more of them this month! Here is the Stake Your Claim Stamp Set with the Handpicked Framelits Dies Bundle and here are my treat boxes I made with them....(think Mike Wazowski) A sweet friend of mine gave me one for a swap at Convention and I had to recreate it for some Back to School fun treats (teachers could give to their students as a cute warning) or even silly Halloween (yes it is early but you have to plan ahead) treats! They are super easy to create! I used the Envelope Punch Board to make these boxes. I cut a 5 1/8" x 5 1/8" piece of Cucumber Crush cardstock. Ran it thru the Big Shot with my Decorative Dot Embossing Folder. Then punch and score on the Envelope Punch Board at 2 1/4" and 3" on each side. Cut the corner notches that are left. Fold and assemble with Tear and Tape Adhesive. I cut a slit with my paper snips on the flap. Slide your "stake" into the slit. I used a Stampin Dimensional to hold it in place. Now just add a piece of the 2014-2016 In Color Designer Washi Tape to keep it closed. I cut the eye ball with the 1/2" circle punch and popped it up with a dimensional. Don't forget to color in your eyeball with Bermuda Bay and add some Bermuda Bay Thick Baker's Twine too! Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to go get one of these cute bundles for yourself! Thank you for all of the kind comments on last week's post! You made my day! Cindy You saw my friend, Becky Cowley before me and now move on to my friend, Helene Legrand by clicking on the next button below! Be sure to stop by all 14 of us!
Good Morning, Stampers! Welcome to the LAST day of the Create with Connie and Mary FREE PREVIEW for the 2013 Winter Collection! We go live tomorrow - and you won't want to miss a single day! We have so many exclusive projects that we are ecstatic to share with you! Cards, giftables, decor and more! Be sure to check out today's PREVIEW project for a chance to win BLOG CANDY HERE! I have a fun Thanksgiving treat to share with you that features the Sizzix Gift Bow die - a little turkey treat cup! We created these at my monthly Big Shot class this past week and I thought he was too cute and MUST share him with you! Another use for a fun Sizzix die! It is super-easy to create him! Use #2 and # 4 from the Sizzix die (see photo below for pieces) as well as a few extra punches. 1. Begin by cutting one (#2) and one (#4) of the following colors: Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Garden Green and Cajun Craze to create the feathers. 2. Adhere the two pieces of each color together. 3. Cut one (#2) and two (#4) to create the body and wings. 4. Punch (2) 1" circles in Whisper White. 5. Punch (2) 3/4" circles in Basic Black. 6. Punch (1) Modern Label in Cherry Cobbler. Cut in half. 7. Fold a small piece of Pumpkin Pie and punch with the wing of the Bird Punch. These little guys can be used for treat cups (as shown), decorations, party favors and more! * It has been brought to my attention that Kirsteen Gill is the original creator of this Turkey. Happy Stampin'! ~Melissa

Chocolates are often the favoured treats for my ladies, but with the temperatures of recent weeks and the warmth generated in the Summerhouse, I think chocolate is best avoided. These cute little table favours are made for my ladies attending this weeks classes. I'm loving the new Envelope Paper, which is what I've used here, in Cucumber Crush. They are so simple to make and a 12" x 12" sheet of Designer Series Paper or Envelope Paper will yield 12 of them. Cut a 3" Square piece of paper Using the Envelope Punch Board, Punch and score at 1 1/4" Turn anti-clockwise and lining the pointer up to the scoreline, punch and score Turn anti-clockwise and repeat step 3 until all four sides are done, before filling your mini treat holder and securing like a domed envelope. Embellish as you wish. I've used the sentiment from Endless Thanks. I've filled mine with the tiny Tic Tac boxes that won't melt in the warmth of the summer weather we are enjoying. Such a cute way to present someone with a token chocolate at the end of a meal. What treats would you like to receive that won't melt like chocolate would? One of the members of my Stampin' Pretty Pals is expecting a baby girl and today's handmade card is headed her way. Woo hoo! We love our baby Pals. STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS: Primrose Petals has become my "go to" pink. I love the dusty softness and how luscious it looks with Very Vanilla.
And here it is: the template for the cute little box made with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch. I've included photos of all the steps along the way as well as an explanation. It's surprisingly easy to do once you realize that you don't just have to cut your pieces of paper to widths of 2" in order to use the punch. To begin, cut a piece of 5" x 7 1/2" cardstock. Then score as shown on my template: I've drawn along the scored lines in pencil to make it easier to view them. Next, take your Scalloped Tag Topper punch and draw lines directly above the indent where the cardstock would normally lie. See what I've done in the photo below: It's very important to have these lines showing above the cardstock in order to line up the score lines properly. See the photo below for the first area to be punched: You can push the entire width of the cardstock into the Scalloped Tag Topper punch. Just carefully push past where it hesitates and continue pushing until you can feel it has come to the end of the punch opening. Adjust the cardstock until the score lines perfectly line up with the lines you have made on the punch (see why we had to do this?) and push the handle down. Then insert the cardstock once more as shown to cut out the second portion: Make sure the lines are perfectly lined up to the lines you've drawn on the punch and, again, push down the handle to cut. Your cardstock should now look like this: Now all you have to do is to line the ends of the punch cuts up on your Stampin' Trimmer as shown: And cut off the portions that do not have the scalloped design on them: Now you just need your paper snips to do a bit of trimming: I've angled the cuts very slightly. Cut the 1 1/2" wide tabs to 1/2". Now you're ready to fold and add adhesive. I've used the Sticky Strip because it holds so well. One piece goes along the 1/2" wide strip as shown and 2 strips go along one of the large tabs at the bottom. First adhere the 1/2" strip along the side of the top: Next fold in the 1/2" tabs, then the tab with the Sticky Strip, and last of all the other large tab. And that's it. You have a box. All you have to do now is to decorate it up as inspiration leads you. This was my decorated box: I'd love to see what you do with your boxes. You're free to use this template for your own designs but I would ask that you don't sell it. Please remember to give me credit for my design.

Our 1st card in our Technique Class last Sunday was using the gorgeous Stamp Set - Joyful Christmas with the beautiful technique "Stained Class". Good Morning! Was a very exciting evening last night as we visited Evan's high school for a meeting to go through things for when he starts in September. He only has another 4 and a bit weeks left at primary school so it's quite the adventure. Also it's the end of an era for me but I am looking on the positive side of it rather than being sad about how quickly the boys have grown up! When I started this blog Evan was only 4 years old and now he is starting High School - crazy! For me, well I am ready to not have to do the school run anymore after doing it for 11 years although I will miss seeing some of my friends every day! Onto todays makes for you! I am sharing the last 3 projects from the Envelope Board class. This first one is made like a standard envelope but is make into a card inside with a belly band to hold it closed. I used the Flower Shop stamp set together with the Million and One stamp set for the wording inside. We then made this really cute little box from one piece of 6x6 designer paper, the bow was also made with the Envelope punch board too. And finally this really quick treat holder, perfect for one of those mini Green and Black chocolate bars. Here are all the projects together. I loved running this little bespoke class for my 4 ladies. If you can gather 4 ladies together then I am happy for you to come to a class in my home or I can come to you. Thank you for all your comments and messages on my special 6th birthday/anniversary. They are all very much appreciated. To CELEBRATE my Stampin UP birthday anyone who places an order on my online store between now and 27th June will receive a small gift in the post! Please use hostess code VV9AXP29 when placing your order. Please remember the retiring lists are still available. Minimum spend £30. Thank you all for your support!
