Wow. . . that is a long title! Welcome to the very first 2014 Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! So glad you have joined us, as this year we have an international design team. Be sure to join us each Thursday as we will get to "hop" around and see creations from many talented demonstrators all over the world! So, some of you may be new to the ADT blog hop experience, so I will tell you a bit as to how this works. Each month Stampin' Up! graciously sends us a HUGE GARGANTUAS box of products! All they ask is that we create 4 projects each month using the supplies from the box and post them to our blog each week. . . WHAA?!!! Yes. . . you get to play, create, and get awesome products for keeps! What could be better? The day the box arrives! This is my UPS guy. . . Josh. I have grown quite fond of him. He has learned to deal with my craziness. He was shy about getting his pic taken, but I told him it was for the sake of my story! He's cool. . . and he is used to me stalking him around town trying to get my box early! You think getting the box is fun. . . and then you open it! Gasp! Yes, it is AMAZING! And then you get to play! Yup! It is fun! What's even more fun? Taking a look at what the others create with the same box of stuff! It always amazes me! So. . . let's go check out what Cindy's up to! Supplies used: Happy Hooray Stamp Set; Bermuda Bay, Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, and Basic Grey ink pads; Kraft, Naturals Ivory, Whisper White, and White Vellum Cardstock; Confetti Celebration DSP; 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon; Tangerine Tango Baker's Twine; 2013-2015 In Color Sequin Assortment; needle and thread. Thank you for joining me today for this weeks Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! Hopefully you have arrived from the talented Wendy Weixler's blog. If not, keep clicking on the button at the bottom of each blog post and hop to work your way back around. This week's projects were all about the Swallowtail stamp for me. I love butterflies and was very excited to work with this huge Swallowtail stamp! The first project I have to share with you is a scrapbook page of my husband Michael and I. I embossed the butterfly with Pool Party embossing powder and the flower is from the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit. I spritzed it with Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede. I love the way Whisper White cardstock looks like when it's spritzed with a color. I also included some washi tape as an accent on this page. The second project I made this week is a journal cover. I don't keep a journal, but I do draw out A LOT of scrapbook sketches. This book has all my sketches from March 2013 until I run out of space. I used the new stamp from the This and That bundle to stamp the date at the bottom and once it's finished, I'll stamp the date below. I also used the washi tape from the new bundle - I really love that washi tape! The Swallowtail is sponged with Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Calypso Coral and Pool Party, then stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock. I am very happy with my new sketch book! Thanks for hopping along with us this week. I hope you have enjoyed this week's projects. Please continue on to Cindy's blog to see what amazing-ness she has in store for you this week! Stamps: Swallowtail, Baby Prints, Remember This and That Rotary Stamp, Creative Elements Ink: Whisper White Craft Ink, Basic Grey, Soft Suede, Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Pool Party, Calypso Coral & Daffodil Delight Classic Ink Paper: Whisper White & Pool Party cardstock, Epic Day This & That Designer Series Paper, Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper, First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper, Tools & Accessories: Epic Day This & That Designer Washi Tape, 1 3/4 Circle Punch, Ticket Duo Builder Punch, Neutrals Designer Buttons, Brights Designer Buttons, Dazzling Details, Calypso Coral Baker's Twine, Pool Party Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit, Color Spritzer Tool, Cute Clips Elements

"forever young" I love that sentiment. At 35, I feel forever young... ...and then I go to a U2 concert and my leg cramps up when I march to the washroom. Regardless, this sentiment caught my eye in the Happy Birthday Gorgeous polymer bundle to pair with the Happy Birthday Thinlets die. I started out with making a simple card with a watercoloured wash using Berry Burst ink. I simply fell in love. My style is for certain clean and simple. However, I wanted to do something more on a second card as I continued to play with this bundle. I wanted to use the floral images on the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. This time I cut out a circle with the Layering Circle Framelits out of computer paper in order to do a masking technique. Why computer paper? Computer paper is much thinner than cardstock and can ensure that the stamped images around the perimeter of the circle are crisp. And just like that you can get a perfect circle of hap hazard stamped images. The colour combination I used was simply through the subtles ink collection in addition to berry burst ink. I added Pearl Basic Jewels to embellish the flowers and this card is complete. A layer of burlap ribbon under the "forever young" sentiment was a perfect touch to finish off the card. If you don't have this bundle on your wish list, you'll be sure to have it there when you finish this Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team hop. This group of 20 girls will sure to blow your socks off. Thank you for joining me today for this weeks Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! Hopefully you have arrived from the oh-so talented Wendy Weixler's blog. If not, keep clicking on the button at the bottom of each blog post and hop to work your way back around. This week is all about the butterfly! One of the items we received in this months box was the Butterfly Collection wheel. I love butterflies, so I was very excited to work with this beautiful image. This first card is a combo of Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Natural Composition DSP and a little bit of silver Glimmer paper. The saying is from the Six Sided Sampler stamp set, Black Stazon works best on the Natural Composition DSP :) Up next, I used the wheel with Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana & Night of Navy. I wanted to fit as many butterflies as I could on the front of this card. The saying is stamped on vellum, so that you can still see the butterflies. I love this new Chevron ribbon, I have it in a few colors already and it is my favorite ribbon to work with! One of the Night of Navy butterflies (top right) got a little Dazzling Details added to it. Thank you for joining us again and hopping with us! Now onto Cindy's blog, her work is always so beautiful!

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are just starting on our May 2015 box from Stampin' UP. This box was FULL of more BRAND NEW products from the Stampin' UP 2015-2016 Annual Catalog!!!!! Well for some of us. Shipping delays has some of our global team without these goodies at this time. Hang on though cause their projects will feature more of the Occasions Catalog that has a few weeks left. You do not want to miss any of the projects this week! Remember that every Thursday of each week, all 16 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my sneak peak project this 1st week... I am sneak peaking three of the NEW 2015-2017 In Colors! Together they are just so fun! The pink tone is called Watermelon Wonder. The yellow tone is called Delightful Dijon. The blue-green tone is called Mint Macaron. Great names, right? I used the masking dots and a sponge dauber to color in the circle randomly. The stamped image comes from the NEW stamp set called I Think Your Great. I was immediately drawn to this saying. I have several GREAT people I could send this card. See that striped layer? That is actually a fun pack of paper that has another use....ENVELOPE PAPER! Say what? Yes it can make a custom envelope in a flash but it also is great to use the card! (think mass production of cards) I added a bit of bling with the Gold Glimmer Paper and Gold Metallic Thread too. Then I just started playing more with mixing the colors together in a different way for more versions of this card with these three New In-Colors. The Envelope Papers come in all of the 5 In Colors too! Can you see the possibilities? The 2015-2016 Stampin' UP Annual Catalog goes LIVE on June 2nd! Be sure to put this stamp set, inks and papers on your wish list! (Unless your a SU demonstrator and can order it NOW! Bonus to being a demo! Sign up today!) Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you! Cindy You saw my friend, Becky Cowley before me and now move on to my friend, Helene Legrand by clicking on the next button below! Be sure to stop by all 16 of us!

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are finishing up our April 2015 box from Stampin' UP. This box was full of more brand NEW products from the Stampin' UP Occasions Catalog and some Annual Catalog products as well! This month, we Artisans have select a certain product to showcase each week. This week is two Designer Series Papers called Moonlight and Gold Soiree. You will see these DSPs created 16 different ways so get ready to be inspired to buy and use that product! (Better hurry, they are retiring and supplies are limited!) Every Thursday of each week, all 16 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my project this 4th week... I am on a roll with this Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack! My goal is to use it all up so I created some more cards with it. My first two were so fun to make! Colors are Crushed Curry, Lost Lagoon, Baked Brown Sugar and Kraft. Stamp sets used were Guy Greetings and Sea Street. I fancy cut out those anchors and made a small hole with the 1/8" handheld punch. The Baked Brown Sugar Baker's Twine is glue dotted to the card. I wiped the Baked Brown Sugar Ink pad to create the "ocean floor". Perfect birthday cards for my nephews! Ok, so enough with the masculine cards using this Designer Series Paper Stack! How about some pretty cards? The bokeh patterns are perfect for this! So I paired it with the Hostess Stamp Set called Hello There for a soft look to this paper. Remember last week's post? Well... AND THE WINNER OF THE MOONLIGHT DESIGNER SERIES PAPER STACK AND THE 2014-2016 IN COLOR CLOTHESPINS is....... Congratulations Christina Thurlow @ My Blessed Farmhouse! (Check out her cute blog!) You will have until April 29th,2015 to contact me via email @ [email protected] with your address so that I can ship you DSP to you! Enjoy the sweet gift! Should I not hear from the winner, I will select another winner from the posted comments. Thank you all for leaving a comment last week! Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to pull out a paper stack and make some cards!!! Welcome to this weeks Artisan Design Team blog hop! This week we are featuring the projects we shared on facebook for the month of April. You hopefully have arrived from the oh-so-talented Wendy Weixler's blog. If not, keep clicking on the button at the bottom of each blog post and hop to work your way back around. This weeks project is a card that features the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit, Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper and the Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper. The flower from the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit was the perfect addition to this card. It was so easy to put the flower together, and it added the dimension I was looking for. I got the inspiration for the color combination from the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper and the Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper. My favorite part of this card is the little hanger (Cute Clips) with the saying. Thanks for stopping by today! Please continue on to Cindy's blog, she always makes the most beautiful things!! Hello Everyone! Welcome back for another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! This year is an international team, so be sure to travel around the world with us as as we share our creativity and ideas with you! About once a month my friends (which includes my dear sweat mother) and I get together and stamp. I provide the supplies and ideas, they supply the treats and good company! I have so much fun with my stamp club ladies! Though I don't usually share the projects we create at club, I decided to share a couple of the cards we made using the Butterfly Basics stamp set and Butterflies Thinlits dies simply because I wanted to show you some very different styles used with the same set. Often times when we browse the catalog we are quick to pick out our favorites, and I have even heard people say, "I thought of you as soon as I saw this set." We each have our own style, and there are definitely sets that we tend to favor because they appeal more to our sense of style. . . but, do we ever try and think of a set that may not be "our style" as something with more possibilities than what meets our eye? There was a time when my style was more the shabby chic, vintage, collage, soft color pallets, etc., and though I still love that style, I have over the years tried to branch out. Probably most of it has to do with serving on the ADT, as we don't get to choose what comes in the boxes that we are required to create with. I have tried more bold color choices, and have even tried a few different styles that I normally wouldn't have tried, I have even combined my old shabby style with some brighter colors. . . What I have found, is that I love a wide variety of styles, and I am only cheating myself when I try to stick to just one! Though you may view a set as appealing to one style, each and every set actually has the potential to be used for a wide variety of styles, so don't short sell a set just because it "isn't your style", give it a second look, try and view more possibilities than just one! I challenge you to break free from being set in your ways and try new things! Speaking of challenges, I gave my club ladies a coloring challenge. . . join me tomorrow as I share their creations! Let's see what amazing project Cindy has to share with us this week, shall we?! Supplies used on card 1: Butterfly Basics stamp set; Memento Tuxedo Black, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, and Bermuda Bay ink pads; Pool Party, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, and Naturals Ivory cardstock; Typeset DSP; cardboard; white craft ink; Bermuda Bay and Old Olive Blendabilities; Butterflies Thinlits Dies; 2-1/2" circle and Bitty Butterfly punches; Stacked With Love Washi; Linen Thread; pearlized pin. Supplies used on card 2: Gorgeous Grunge and Simply Wonderful stamp sets; Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral, Hello Honey, Bermuda Bay, and Basic Black ink pads; Whisper White Cardstock; Butterflies Thinlits Dies; Linen Thread; Stampin' Mist.

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are just starting on our March 2015 box from Stampin' UP. This box was full of more brand NEW products from the Stampin' UP Occasions Catalog! Every Thursday of each week, all 16 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my project this 1st week... I love the process of creativity when I start a new Artisan box! Sometimes I know immediately what I want to do. Sometimes is takes me just playing with an idea that leads me. So that is where I started this month....I created that Coastal Cabana star with the Coastal Cabana sequins from the 2013-2015 In Color Sequin Assortment and loved it so much that I had to use it on something! From there I created the card, adding the wording from the Cheerful Critters Stamp set that was in our Artisan box. .....and then this card was inspired! I kept the same color combo of Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana and Black. Repeated the stars, paper doilies, rounded corners and thick Baker's Twine. I used more of the Cheerful Critters Stamp set as well. That bear is sooooo cute! I colored him in with a Blender Pen, Smoky Slate ink and Coastal Cabana ink. I think I will send this to a friend just to cheer her up! Cindy's Tip: be sure to take a good look at each pattern of our designer series papers! That layer on my card is from the Maritime Designer Series Paper. It is a nautical themed DSP but it works very well here. Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you!!! Cindy You saw my friend, Becky Cowley before me and now move on to my friend, Helene Legrand by clicking on the next button below! Be sure to stop by all 16 of us!
Welcome to this weeks Artisan Design Team blog hop! This week we are featuring the projects we shared on facebook for the month of March. You hopefully have arrived from the oh-so-talented Wendy Weixler's blog. If not, keep clicking on the button at the bottom of each blog post and hop to work your way back around. I was so excited to work with the That’s the Ticket Stamp Set; it’s one of my favorite sets in the spring catalog! For easy placement of the tags, I stamped each one on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, then punched it out using the Ticket Duo Punch. It was much easier to lay out the pattern and have them all line up. I love the cheery, colorful look of this card. Thanks for stopping by today! Thanks for joining us for this week's Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! I hope you have arrived from Wendy's blog, if not, please go back and check out her great project! For this weeks projects I used the Boutique Boxes Designer Printed Kit. With the exception of 2 items (Silver Foil Smooch Spritz & Silver Basic Designer Buttons) I only used the items in the bundle on the 3 cards. When I saw this kit, I knew that I wanted to do a scrapbook page with it. I turned the little boxes into envelopes that are open on the top. Each envelope is embellished with photos and different items from the kit. The background is sprayed with the Silver Foil Smooch spritz and so are the title letters. Each of the little pockets have a card in them that pulls out. Each card has a little fact about Jakob at six years old. Thanks for joining us this week. Please continue on to Cindy's blog, her projects are always so cute!
