I used more pieces from the bits box today. The tree from the retired Beautiful Branches Thinlits was waiting to be used, along with the die cut from the So Detailed Thinlits. I just made a watercolor wash using Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach for the background and stamped the greeting from So in Love, popped up on dimensionals. Yes, the ribbon was already tied on the die cut in my box of useful bits (it really is useful)! I'm working on getting my veggie garden layout finalized. I must say, our grid paper is VERY handy for this! Silly me, I thought it was just for stamping. It's nice not having to tape regular size sheets of graph paper together. I'm so excited about these amazing new products from Stampin' Up! This is one example of the free stamp set you can earn when you spend $50 on Stampin Up! product in the NEW YEAR...... Did you fall in love with this silly chicken like me? Can you imagine the smiles it will bring when you send it to a friend? This stamp set will be available for you to get free in 2017 when you order $50 in Stampin' Up! product. Be sure to get a copy of your catalog today so you can get a chance to earn some of the fun new products in the Sale-a-bration Catalog when this promotion begins on January 4. If you don't have a demonstrator that you work with already, CONTACT ME to get a copy of the Occasions Catalog and the Sale-a-bration catalog today. This is the stamp set I used for this card See that cute chicken wire? I used a new embossing folder (called Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder) for the chicken wire effect. Instead of "embossing" the impression into the paper, I inked the inside of the folder and pressed Whisper White Cardstock on top of the folder to stamp the lines. This embossing folder will be available with the new OCCASIONS CATALOG which goes live on January 4. Here's a picture of that folder - Item #143241: These are only a few of great products you will see from Stampin' Up! in the new year - Get Ready!!! Other Products I used for this card include: Smoky Slate 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock $8.00 Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies $30.00 Peekaboo Peach 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock $8.00 Night Of Navy Classic Stampin' Pad $6.50 Night Of Navy 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock $8.00 Peekaboo Peach Classic Stampin' Pad $6.50 Whisper White 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock $9.00 Linen Thread $4.50 Layering Ovals Framelits Dies $35.00 Big Shot $110.00 Table by StampinBuddy. Who wants a FREE Sale-a-Bration product?? Have you seen this year's selection? There are stamp sets, Designer Series Paper, a card kit, ribbon and even a card tin - something for everyone! And, star
Hello everyone! I write this blog entry at 4.06pm, when is this blog hop due? 5.00pm! Nothing like living on the edge. You may be starting with me or hopped on over from the fabulousness of Cathy. I do hope you take the time to hop around to everybody. So much inspiration for you, your wish list for the new catalogue will grow, I guarantee it. How amazing is this new catalogue?, WAIT technically TWO catalogues because it's Sale-a-bration time in the Stampin' Up world and what that means is that for every $90 you spend you can pick a freebie from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. There are all sorts of goodies in there including stamp sets, paper packs, ribbons and more! My first two cards use the beautiful new Special Reason stamp set with the coordinating Stylish Stems Framelits Dies. They have been bundled which means you save 10% by buying both. If you are a wood-mount type stamper, BAM! you've qualified to receive something for free out of the Sale-a-bration catalogue. If you are a clear-mount stamper a small extra something like the amazing Hexagons Dynamic Embossing Folder that I have used in my second example will get you over the line. Here is my first card that I have for you today.... The designer paper I've used is Playful Palette from the Annual Catalogue along with Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum and Very Vanilla. A touch of Very Vanilla Lace and a splash of Gold Wink of Stella finish off the card nicely I think. For my second card I had to use the Hexagon Dynamic Embossing Folder, it is amazing! I love how it can go from a masculine card to a feminine card. The Dynamic Folders create deep and dimensional impressions, nothing like what you have seen with ordinary folders. Here I inked up the flowers with Blushing Bride inkpad first and gave it a spritz of water before stamping onto Watercolour Paper to give it a painterly effect. I then wiped the stamp off and coloured the centre of the flowers with my Rose Red Stampin' Write Marker, spritzed with water again and stamped. I'm really happy with how they turned out. I've used a Pear Pizazz card base & embossed Crumb Cake cardstock and finished the card off with some Blushing Bride Solid Baker's Twine. For my third card, of course as I had spent $90 I got an awesome new stamp set that is just too cute not to use - Tasty Trucks! See what I mean? Too cute for words. It comes with an assortment of little stamps that your truck could be displaying - ice creams, tacos, cakes, hotdogs and more. I've coloured my truck with the gorgeous new Watercolour Pencils and Aqua Painter. The designer paper is the Playful Palette again with Peekaboo Peach and Blushing Bride Cardstock and I've use some of the coordinating Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape. Thank you for joining me from Rebecca's Blog or welcome to mine, you have landed on my page for our ESAD Sneak Peek of Sale-A-Bration 2017. What's a Sneak Peek well let me shed some light - its a little snatch of some of the goodies we have created using the Stamps, Embellishments, Kits and or Accessories from the upcoming Occasion Catalogue. I am so excited about the new Occasion Catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration goodies. With so many new things to love and today I am sharing just one with you but watch this space because there is more to come. But first - I have decided to feature the Project Kit Birthday Bright and its coordinating Photopolymer Stamp set. I couldn't help myself I started with the shaker cards as they are what first attracted me to this kit and they are smick. This is the back of the card as you pop it together before the magic happens - best bit there is a heap of that confetti so we can make heaps of others with our framelits coming in handy. Tadah how good was that one now get a sticky at this beauty - I love the enamel shapes they are super cute. The stamps that create this great cake icing feature make me think of some amazing backgrounds - mmmm watch this space! I love the silver foil bunting of this cute card and its so easy to make. The Emerald envy stripes are pretty cool as well.I am rather partial to this colour. This kit is great for beginners and advanced card makers, it includes the instructions for all the cards and tags in the kit. I have made one of each card keeping the rest ready to 'tweak' at a later date. So what do you get in the 'Kit'? How lovely is that box? I can see this as storing some great goodies for me. You get enough items to create 12 cards and 12 tags if you follow the instructions and you will have some extra bits to use for other projects as well. Its very good value and would make a lovely gift to get a beginner crafter started or for the advanced to tweak to their liking. So what else do you need to make these cards? The stamp set is super helpful as well as inks and adhesives. The Stamp set is also called Birthday Bash and is a Photopolymer set. Stampin' Up! trainer Brandi and her daughter Lily Jane, share some tips and tricks for the Birthday Bright Project Kit--a brand-new kit in the 2017 occasions (spring/summer) catalogue. Want to see more visit again soon as I have loved playing with this stamp set and have some more great projects to share with you at a later date. Now pop on over to Leonie's Blog and see what goodies she has to share. Thanks for stopping by. BLOG HOP PARTICIPANTS: 1. Libby Dyson 2. Samantha White 3. Nicole Wilson 4. Kelly Kent 5. One of the gorgeous new products from the 2nd Sale-a-bration release is this gorgeous Bundle. You can earn this Bundle for FREE during Sale-a-bration only to March 31st on a qualifying order of $180. The Bundle consists of the Blossoming Basket Stamp Set and a 3D Textured Embossing Folder. I decided to get brave and break out my Stampin' Blends to colour this image. I have CASE'd this card from the Sale-a-bration 2nd release brochure. I have used the Crumb Cake light and dark shade blends to colour the basket, Daffodil Delight light and dark shades to do the flowers and Old Olive light and dark shades to do the greenery. If you are going to colour this image with the blends like I have done, make sure you set yourself some time to colour as the image is quite detailed. I've added a piece of the Wood textures dsp in the background along with the Linen Thread to give the card a bit of a rustic country feel. Then I have raised the sentiment on dimensionals to give it a bit of dimension. Thank you for stopping by to check out my project today. A full list of items used to make this card features below and all items are available from my online store. Until next time Happy Stamping! Do you like mixing up a card design after you've made a card? I often like to use the same elements to create a different look. Let me show you what I mean. Remember this card I shared, using the Sale-a-bration Blossoming Basket stamp set. Well, after I made it with my SU team, I felt like playing around with the same pieces to create a couple of different looks - each with different levels of fussy cutting too. Some people love to fussy cut & some really loathe it so it's good to be able to have different options. No Fuss So I started my mix-up with a no fussy cutting version using the same card pieces. I embossed the pool party card with the Sale-a-bration Basket Weave dynamic embossing folder that's teamed with Blossoming Basket. Partially cutting the pretty Blossoming Basket image with the largest square die in the Stitched Shapes die set gives you a fast & gorgeous look with no fussy cutting. Yay! Again, this idea was inspired by these cards made by the fabulous Emma Godddard. I changed up the blossoms colours using calypso coral Stampin' Blends markers, plus the original old olive & crumb cake Blends. I backed the image with a square of pear pizzazz card & sweet doily. It looks so pretty sitting over the card edge. I couldn't resist adding a fussy cut butterfly too. Fussy Lavender This card fits the bill for those who love fussy cutting or lavender. Doesn't that basket of lavender look so beautiful? The brilliant idea to use the Sale-a-bration Lots of Lavender stamp set with Blossoming Basket also came from Emma Godddard's cards. I changed up the ribbon colours for this version, substituting lemon lime twist ombre ribbon & fresh fig ribbon. I love how fresh it looks. To make the lavender basket: - Stamp the whole Blossoming Basket image - no need to mask off the flowers. - Colour in the basket, then make a long horizontal slit just under the blossoms. - Stamp three lavender images & colour with rich razzleberry Stampin' Blends markers and fussy cut them out. - Slip the lavender into the slit, position them as you like and secure with adhesive - dimensionals. You may want to cut off some of the leaf sprigs so each lavender looks a little different. You can watch Emma's fb live video if you'd like to see this process visually. Thanks so much Emma for sharing this fabulous idea. So, which one's your favourite? Leave me a comment to let me know which one you'd like to make more & pin them for later inspiration too. You can see all my other Blossoming Basket projects here. Thanks for visiting today. I hope you come back again soon for more ideas. Inky wishes, Di Remember - the Blossoming Basket bundle & Lots of Lavender stamps are only available until 31 March when Sale-a-bration ends. Converse knock-off with a pretty pink sequined background and glittered text - perfect for the millenial in your life! Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration 2018 Epic Celebration
Hello, and welcome to another episode of "Things I Can't Live Without from Sale-A-Bration" also known as the Tour de Freaks blog hop! And, in case you haven't figured it out already, the theme this month is Sale-A-Bration. We are focusing on the wonderful FREE items you can get (with qualifying purchase) and Stampin' Up! has completely outdone themselves with this year's offerings! If you started the tour at the beginning, you just landed here from Wendy's blog, Wickedly Wonderful Creations, where I'm sure she dazzled you! I am stop number two (of sixteen) this month. Just click the links at the bottom of each blog to travel on to the next one and eventually you'll come full-circle. There were three new items added this week to kick off the second half of SAB and I'm showing two of them, along with some other SAB items. So, without further ado, let me introduce the Party Pants stamp set and the AWESOME Metallics Glitter Tape! The tape is available in gold, silver, and WHITE....which can be colored any color you want with ink and sponge daubers! And that's what I did to make the blue banners on the card below. The background paper is from the Wildflower Fields DSP pack, also a Sale-A-Bration item. Up next is the adorable chick from Honeycomb Happiness, with the greeting from Party Pants. In fact, all the cards today used greetings from that set! This one just cracks me up for some reason, like the bird is saying, "Put your party pants on, and let's GO!" The dotty background is from Wildflower Fields again, and the silver is the Metallics Glitter Tape. (That stuff is sooo easy to use!) It's so hard for me to choose a favorite stamp set from SAB, but if I had to pick just one, I'd say it would probably be the very versatile Flowering Fields. You can create so many different looks with it! The background on this card was created with marker scribbles on a clear block, which was lightly misted and then stamped on watercolor paper. Lastly, is a CAS card using the What I Love set. It's a three-step photopolymer stamp set, and makes the lovliest flowers with depth and dimension! And, of course, I couldn't resist the glitter tape. Can't help it; I'm part Magpie! That's all for me this month. I hope you saw something that made one of these SAB rewards a "must have" item on your list! Now hop on over to Barb Mullikin's blog, Barb Stamps, and see what goodies she's cooked up for you!

We are in the last weeks of Sale-A-Bration so time is running out to get your hands on some of the exclusive Sale-A-Bration products for FREE. Today I want to show you the gorgeous Inside the Lines Specialty Designer Series Paper, which is just one of the Stampin' Up! products you can get for free when you spend $90 or more. Here is a short video from Stampin' Up! to show you the product in detail and give you some ideas on how you can use it. Adult colouring books are all the rage at the moment and this DSP is perfect to help you get your adult colouring fix :) Now, I don't know about you, but I find it is really easy to collect (insert "hoard") all of Stampin' Up!'s beautiful Designer Series Papers. Making the first cut into a sheet is, I find, the hardest thing to do. There is a movement going around about cutting up and using your DSP, its even got its own hashtag #loveitchopit. So.... to stop me from collecting and not using my pack of Inside the Lines Specialty DSP and to #loveitchopit, I pulled out 1 sheet of each of the 4 designs and just cut them into random sizes. OMG! I hear you say. Hard part done! Semi-easy part is then to turn them all in to cards. I grabbed a small piece of my DSP and decided to use my Stampin' Write Markers to colour it in. Once I'd finished colouring in the DSP (and while feeling quite relaxed), I then turned it in to a card. Here is what I came up with: My card base is Blushing Bride and I've raised my DSP using Stampin' Dimensionals after Fast Fusing down some retired Blushing Bride Chevron Ribbon (which is currently still available in the Clearance Rack at a bargain price of 60% off - grab some now). My sentiment, from the Oh So Succulent stamp set, is white heat embossed. I used my Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green and Wild Wasabi Stampin' Write Markers to colour in the DSP. A soft and beautiful card that is relatively quick to put together (once you've done the colouring in that is). The great thing about this DSP is that no matter how many cards or projects you create, each one will be different depending on which part of the DSP sheet you have used or how you decided to add colour (if you add colour at all). So make sure you get your hands on a pack of this gorgeous paper before it is gone :) SHOP NOW Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :) If you enjoy what I do, I would love you to Like and Follow me on Facebook, and Pin my cards on Pinterest (or you can follow me on Pinterest). As you may remember, the response to Stampin' Up!'s Fast Fuse promotion last fall was phenomenal. In fact, the enthusiasm was so overwhelming they simply didn’t have the inventory to keep the deal running! Edited to add: FAST FUSE ALREADY SOLD OUT! So, as promised, they are bringing back the Fast Fuse Adhesive deal for five days only—while supplies last! For those of you who are unfamiliar with this promotion, here’s how it works: When you buy ONE Fast Fuse Adhesive, you’ll get TWO Fast Fuse Adhesive refills for FREE! This deal will start on February 8 and end on February 12. Remember, that’s five days only—and only while supplies last. I have a feeling it will sell out again, so don't wait until the end of the promotion! You can SHOP HERE for the deal! Please use the host code D976QUBM if your order total is less than $150.00. (And thanks for shopping with me!) On to the card.... I am having waaaayyy too much fun with this Blossoming Basket bundle! We are even going to use it in my stamp club today. I think the ladies will like it, too. (At least I HOPE so!) The basket was stamped with Memento ink since I was using Stampin' Blends markers to color it. I do hope Stampin' Up! comes out with some more colors (specifically more greens). Old Olive light and dark are kind of limiting. The butterfly was an afterthought. Once I decided to use the SAB Shimmer Ribbon, I knew it needed something to balance the color. Some clear Wink of Stella was added to make the butterfly shimmer like the ribbon. See you tomorrow!
