Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke Hello everyone Today's card is a fancy fold Theatre card! I have seen this style of card on pinterest and I just had to make one. This card is also one that I have made with my craft group on a Sunday evening on zoom, which is our new normal at the moment. For my cards I have used a new Incolour Misty Moonlight with the Flowers for every Season DSP. I have used the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set too. This is a beautiful stamp set with the main sunflower image and it also has the smaller flower too along with coordinating dies for you to cut your images out. I have tried to make this card as simply as possible and easy to follow along. The image above is of the card in it's closed position and then below open, the final image is how the card stands up. This would make a really stunning card for a special occasion! It is actually quite simple yet gives a real wow factor. To make this card you will need one sheet of A4 card. You will then need to cut this one piece into 4 pieces. The measurements are as follows and I show you how to do this in the video tutorial. 2 pieces, 4 1\8" x 5 3/4" 2 pieces, 4" x 5 3\4" These are the inside of the card and need to be scored the same on both pieces at 1 3/8" and 2 7\8" You will also need 2 strips of card that are 1\2" x 5 1\2" To decorate your card you need DSP in the following measurements 4" x 5 5\8" 2 5\8" x 3 3\4", two pieces For the inside of your card you can either use the piece you cut from the front or as I have use one of the small cards from the memories and more pack. To make the front panel of the card you will also need a rectangle die to cut out the frame but if you don't have one you can cut a rectangle of card and use it as a template to draw then cut out of the front using a craft knife, This will need to measure 4 1\2" x 2 1\2". To assemble your card click below to watch the tutorial Here are the supplies I used for this project Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle (English) [154065] £47.50 Misty Moonlight A4 Cardstock [153086] £8.25 Flowers For Every Season 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 Cm) Designer Series Paper [152486] £10.75 Watercolor Pencils [141709] £15.00 To buy your supplies with me click on the images above, if you have any questions or would like some more information on anything Stampin'Up! please drop me a message! The snowbanks are getting mighty high here in WI. My dad was telling me that he remembered when they use to put little bright colored balls on their car antennas so they could see one another at the corners. How fabulous. I could just imagine decorating my little antenna ball. Well I suppose I best stick to card making. So folks I made this one for the challenge at: CAS(E) This Sketch I just recently purchased this older stamp set. I fell in love with it because of the dahlia. I always try to plant a few of these beautiful plants around our home for the summer. It's not so easy now since my surgery, but nevertheless I still try for a couple of these gorgeous blooms. The stamp set featured in today's card is: Stmapin up: Regarding Dahlias. Thank you for taking time to visit my blog. Keep Smiling and Keep Stamping. PJ

It's been a rainy, yucky weekend in Atlanta. As a nod to the gray skies, I decided to make a black-white-and-gray card, but this card isn't gloomy or yucky at all. With just a little pop of pink, this card is romantic, sweet and beautiful, don't you think? Prepare to

Don't ya just love it when you see a sketch and know immediately what stamp set you will be using? Well in this case I used two stampin up sets: Bloomin' Love and Southern Serenade. I really like how well this card turned out. The purple and those polka dots just seem to make this a happy card, and that bow. Let me say I make bows how I tie shoe laces, so sometimes they don't lay flat, and I'm super picky on them. I don't know how to explain this very well, but when I tie a bow it always has the end pieces with one up and one tucked underneath the bow, it's still nice, and I use it that way.. but this little ribbon here today are both out from the bottom. YAY.. I used the fork technique, and it turned out perfect just very small. Perhaps I'll need to find a salad fork to make a bigger bow. 😉 Any ways, I don't think many people would even notice but of course it's something I see and just annoys me that I can't do it nicely. Well after stamping and coloring I added a few little pearls on the card to reflect the white polka dots. I will be submitting this card to the challenge at: Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Keep Smiling and Keep Stamping. I hope you will take a look around at my other cards, projects and pictures. I'd love to have you follow my blog.

I opened my pack of this gorgeous paper only a week or so ago and started to play. Problem was, I couldn't decided on which design or which side of the DSP to use for my project, so I ended up choosing all of of them and came up with this mosaic card design.
4th graders just finished a lesson about totem poles. Students learned about the significance of totem poles and that they were (and still are) made by native tribes who lived in the Pacific Northwest region of North America. The big word for this project was stylize. We learned that some artists stylize their work by changing shapes, colors, etc. in order to give their work their own personal touch. Each student created one stylized animal in the style of a real totem pole. (There are some great resources on totem pole parts online here. Unfortunately, I didn't find this until we were almost done with the project!) In the past, I had kids paint the finished product, but I decided to try collage this year after seeing an example from another blog last year. I really like how clean the collage is. More importantly, the students were more successful using collage. My lesson plan can be found here. My keynote for this lesson is here. A PDF version of my keynote can be downloaded here. Feel free to use or modify for your own room!
