Welcome to the Happy Stampers new Stampin Up 2014-2015 Annual Catalog blog hop. A first for me so here goes.... I chose to use the Swallowtail stamp set two different ways. The card below has been masked off with just the square in the middle to be stamped and colored. I've cased this card from the Stampin Schach. I've changed it up a bit with different colors and a different sentiment. My coloring was done with a blender pen and ink pads - the pads were squished in the middle to leave ink on the inside of the lid and picked up with a blender pen. The sentiment is from the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set. The next card also uses the Swallowtail. I was inspired by this card on Pinterest. The Swallowtail was embossed with VersaMark and black embossing powder. This time I colored it with our new Blendabilities, Can you tell that the colors are more vibrant in this version? I then fussy cut him out and placed him on my whisper white card using dimensionals. I've wrapped him around to the back side of the card as well. A little bit of his wing was trimmed off to fit on the card where I wanted him. The sentiment is from one of my favorite new stamp sets in this catalog - Choose Happiness - I have the clear mount version and was able to curve it ever so slightly to follow the curve of the swallowtail's wing. Popping him up on dimensionals really makes him stand out. I love how it turned out and hope you do too. The new Annual Catalogue in the Australia and New Zealand is here! It has been live in the South Pacific for nearly a month now and I hope you all love it as much as I do! To mark this fantastic occasion of a new catalogue my lovely friends on the Facebook ESAD group decided we should do a Blog Hop to showcase some of the new fantastic products. You may have joined me from Norelle Targato's blog or started here with me. Either way you are in for a treat to see the creativity and imagination of myself and 23 other fellow Australian and New Zealand Stampin' Up! demonstrators. ESAD stands for "Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators" and is a Facebook group just for Australian and New Zealand Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrators. We love what we do & love to share with our customers, friends and blog visitors. The cards that I have made for the hop are using some of the products that, when I first saw the new Annual Catalogue, I thought I have to have that! The first card uses the I Love Lace background stamp (Pg 175 Annual Catalogue) I love all things pretty and lacy and this ticks both of those boxes! Don't you just love the new In Colour Lost Lagoon too! I embossed the stamp with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. It took me a few go's to get it because the stamp is so detailed but it looks stunning embossed! I also embossed the Birthday Wishes sentiment. I put that on vellum so you could still see the I Love Lace stamp and it wasn't covered up too much. The next card uses some of the paper from the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack (Pg. 185 Annual Catalogue) It's pretty, its girly, it's flowery. All the things I love. There are 48 sheets in the stack: 4 of 12 double-sided designs. The stack measures 11.4cm x 16.5cm so it is perfect for card fronts and smaller projects. The last product for my blog post that I went WOW about in the new Annual Catalogue is the Decorative Masks (Pg. 205 Annual Catalogue) You place the mask over your project and you can either spritz, sponge, trace or emboss with the mask to create beautiful background. I've sponged the Gold Encore Metallic Ink on the mask with a sponge dauber. To keep the gold theme going I cut out the star with the new Star Framelits and then stuck down the Gold Sequins from the Sequin Trim under the star cut out. It's so sparkly! Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts 2014 New Catalog Blog Hop. Each of us can't wait to show you our favorite sets from the New Catalog, so I hope you'll hop through to see some fun creations. I really enjoyed her great designs with Bordering Blooms....Lovely color scheme! I am using this year's Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set....Each year Stampin' Up! provides an opportunity for us to buy a set that benefits this charity. This year $3 from each set sold will be donated to RMHC. I always get the set and usually really like it. I like it especially well this year! First, I have flowers and leaves in Florida Flamingo colors which provides a quick dress up for the French Fry box. I used a little bit of the Flower Fair Framelits and the Flower Frenzy Bigz L Die as well as the Chalk Talk Framelit to create the Flamingo tag. Pink Pirouette, Pistachio Pudding, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White were the colors I used. Next, is the MOJO Monday sketch for this week, MOJO350. I used the Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background and used the All Abloom designer series paper stack for the Blush Blossom based color scheme and paper. Tickled Pink is great for just a congratulations or for welcoming a new baby girl... Finally, I just wanted to use a more Coral color with it. :) I used the Striped Scallop Framelit for a background. The card is Very Vanilla and Calypso Coral...I realize it looks almost Tangerine Tango...sorry...To finish, I put pearls at the top of the card. It's Friday and that means it's time for a fun new challenge at Just Add Ink! The lovely Rochelle has suggested a fabulous colour challenge for us all to use. And the Team have used these colours brilliantly so I hope you can take a moment to check them out and be inspired :-) Here are the Colours for this week's challenge: So two bright and bold colours and two neutrals :-) Blackberry Bliss and Bermuda is one of my favourite colour combos and it didn't take long to put them together on the Floral Wings butterfly :-) However the off-kilter panels were a bit tricky to layer evenly and took quite a few goes to get right. The fantastic Brick Wall EF helps give the illusion of some climbing roses and adds a little subtle texture. Ok, this one's gonna be fun! I took one look at Cucumber Crush and thought, "OH BROTHER! Another green." Well, I started pulling out colors to see what paired well, and in about five minutes I was a believer. This new summer green is going to rejuvenate your color combos like crazy!
