LOVE this new set in the brand new catalogue - its called "Bloom with Hope" and its a new Hostess set. I am looking forward to using it for lots of different techniques as its the kids of set that will work well. I can see it embossed, watercoloured, simply stamped, masked.. in fact it is very versatile. So as a demonstrator I had an opportunity to get it early (it was free for me.. yippee!) and have a play. Today I did something simple but subtle with it. I stamped it in Soft Suede ink onto Crumb Cake card stock, masking some of the stamps as I stamped more over the top. Then I used a blender pen with some Whisper White Craft Ink to lightly fill in some of the petals, and added a little Pear Pizzaz ink to some of the leaves. The sentiment is from the same set. I love that this is simple but so effective! Have you booked into my launch events next weekend yet? I now am full for the Sunday afternoon event, but still have spaces at the Saturday evening event (5th July) so please click HERE to email me and book your spot. Its only $15 to attend and you will go home with 3 completed projects and of course a new catalogue. There will be prizes for everyone, and supper too. Its a great night! So I hope to see you there.. or at a class or workshop soon! Here's another shot of today's card for you:
This little critter should bring a smile to someone having one of those days! We had "one of those days" around here last week. Miss Emma was a bit grumpy but music and a bit of dancing usually cheer her up. I put on a CD and she danced her way out of the kitchen, across the hall and into the living room. I expected her to come dancing back as usual but she didn't return. I could still hear those tapping feet so I peeked into the living room and this is what I found: Well she did clear the table off first........... Jen Timko has a delightful sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches! It was perfect to showcase the new set Nuts About You.
There are so many great projects in the latest Stampin Up catalogue and over the next few months I will be casing some of my favourite designs. Below are my different versions of the card on page 139 which uses the Polka-Dot Pieces stamp set.

hi there, welcome again to the ESAD Blog Hop. I really enjoy taking part in these blog hops. I have been busy making so many cards with all the lovely new stamp sets. “What is ESAD? ESAD stands for "Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators" and is a facebook group just for Australian and New Zealand Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrators. We love what we do & love to share with our customers, friends and blog visitors. We also share what we love in our ESAD Demonstrator community, through swaps, challenges, sharing knowledge, ideas& friendship and we're always there to help and support each other. So if you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand then please feel free to leave me a comment with your email address then I'll contact you with information on how to join our group.” You may have come here from Louise's Blog or if you are just starting here you can hop around until you get back here. Today I am showing you some cards that I have been colouring lately as I do love the sets where I can colour. On some I have used the new Blendablilities and others just my usual way of painting with brush and ink. The first 3 cards are using the Blended Bloom stamp. These next 2 cards are using Forever Florals The final 3 cards are made using the hostess set Bloom with Hope As you can see I get a little carried away when it comes to colouring flowers and make lots of cards. Its time now to hop on to Yvonne's Blog. Enjoy checking out everyone's creations using products from our lovely new catalogue. thanks for stopping by.

The Holiday Catty is live today! Click on the link in the left column to view it online. I used Mossy Meadow ink for the evergreen sprig from Ornamental Pine (135104) and Real Red ink for the sentiment on Very Vanilla card stock. The ornament was stamped with VersaMark on Real Red card stock and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. Then, I cut it out, mounted it with Dimensionals and added a Gold Baker's twine bow. Endless Wishes (136829) has several sentiments to combine. Mine is stamped with Pear Pizzazz ink. The snowflakes are stamped with Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Lost Lagoon inks on Whisper White card stock. I used Lost Lagoon 3/8 in. Silky Taffeta Ribbon (135841) and the embellishments are from Frosted Sequins (135835).

I've got some sneak peeks from the upcoming new Stampin' Up catalogue today so, if you're even half as excited as I am, you'll need to hold onto your ears! This year, as usual, Stampin' Up are releasing five new, on-trend colours - and they are fabulous! It's always useful to compare the colours with those we already have, so come and see: First let me formally introduce the five new in-colours: • Blackberry Bliss - a rich, dramatic purple; a darker version of Rich Razzleberry. • Tangelo Twist - a hot, almost neon orange; lighter than Tangerine Tango, brighter than Pumpkin Pie. • Mossy Meadow - a deep, warm green; darker than Old Olive, warmer than Always Artichoke. • Hello Honey - a warm yellow with a hint of brown, but clearer than the retired Summer Starfruit. • Lost Lagoon - a mid-green-blue, much more muted than Coastal Cabana or Bermuda Bay. I've made cards using the new colours alongside other similar Stampin' Up colours so you can get a feel for them. These cards are all made with an incredible new stamp set from the upcoming Stampin' Up annual catalogue: it's called Work of Art and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it - check out those paint stroke backgrounds and gorgeous sentiments! In this card, you'll find the Blackberry Bliss heart at the top, with (going clockwise) Rich Razzleberry and Elegant Eggplant. The sentiment on all five of today's cards has been stamped in Blackberry Bliss too. I love these colours with the Smoky Slate background. The little heart punch is also a sneaky peek! It comes from a new pack of three mini punches, Itty Bitty Accents, and features a new on-trend heart shape. The little flower on this card comes from the same punch pack and I adore its detailed shape - I've spotted at least one stamp in the new Stampin' Up catalogue that coordinates with it too! The flower at the bottom is the neon-bright Tangelo Twist, with Pumpkin Pie looking much lighter next to it and the darker, redder Tangerine Tango at the top. Green is one of my favourite colours so I was delighted to welcome the new Mossy Meadow. It teams beautifully with the yellow-based Old Olive, seen here at the bottom with Mossy Meadow above it. The greyer Always Artichoke is the leaf above that, with the bluer Garden Green to its left. Sometimes you need a warm yellow that isn't bright or subtle and Hello Honey fits the bill perfectly. The star at the bottom is Hello Honey, with Daffodil Delight next to it and So Saffron at the top of the card. The star, by the way, is the third punch in Stampin' Up's new punch pack - such a useful set! Lost Lagoon is a stunning, dreamy mid greenish blue that has bowled me over. It's a darker version of a popular retired colour Baja Breeze and it works beautifully with all Stampin' Up's wonderful green blues. I've used it for the central banner here with Bermuda Bay on the left of it and Coastal Cabana on the right. I hope you've enjoyed this preview of some of the gorgeous new Stampin' Up products. They'll be available on the 1st July 2014 but meanwhile you might want to check the Retirement Lists (click on the banners below) to make sure you don't miss out on any of your favourite stamp sets and accessories. Click here to buy retiring Stampin' Up stamps and accessories from my online shop. Click above to place an order any time, day or night, but if you have any queries, or prefer to speak to me, I'm always happy to help. You can contact me by email or phone on 01280 820593. My youngest son is having a room make-over and he and I have been clearing out the mountain of old toys, books, clothes, sports equipment, papers and other items that build up over a boy's childhood. It has been a mammoth task (particularly helping him understand that he doesn't have to keep absolutely everything!) but we have finally got there. There were some entertaining moments, when I found a lone football boot at the back of a shelf, for example, and asked where its partner was. My son didn't know. "What on earth is one football boot good for?" I demanded. He looked abashed. "Um... For a monoped?" he suggested. See you tomorrow.
We made this nice masculine card at my class last week: It's a perfect card for a guy, and could be used for a variety of occasions. I love the Come Sail Away suite, and this card uses many of the products that are available in the bundle. We started with a piece of 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Night of Navy cardstock, folded in half. To this we adhered two strips of the Come Sail Away designer series paper, leaving a small space between them. Then we wrapped the Bakers Twine around the card twice, ending with a knot and an anchor from the Sail Away Trinkets. The sailboat and lighthouse (from Sailing Home) were stamped on Sahara Sand using Night of Navy ink, then cut with the coordinating Smooth Sailing dies. Don't recognize the sentiment? Well that's where we went AWOL from the suite, and picked up the phrase from the adorable On To Adventure set. It was stamped on Sahara Sand and cut with the Smooth Sailing dies (a second label was cut using Night of Navy; we snipped it in half and "spread" it to create the frame around the sentiment). And we finished with a ships wheel, cut with the dies and Soft Suede cardstock. I'm starting to like making masculine cards! I have to say this has been a FUN week. I have really enjoyed the Rose Wonder bundle and I will be using it AGAIN and AGAIN in the future. This is perfect for all flower lovers as well as Spring time which is just around the corner. Today I want to remind everyone that the 2014-2016 IN Colors will be retiring in May. Last year there was a lot of disappointment because the re-inkers for the retiring colors sold out EARLY. So please, if you have not already grabbed these amazingly rich colors please make sure to head on over to the shop to pick your set up so you don't miss out. Here are the Rose Wonder Die cut cards that I made using the 5 IN COLORS. I had a lot of fun making these but even more stacking them like a house of cards. This took talent I tell ya! Some In Color items are already marked down so don't put it off if there is something you can't live without... SHOP ONLINE thank you for stopping by today and for following along with my Rose of Wonder to Die for week! Melanie

Yay, it’s Thursday—almost Friday! I haven’t played with the JUGS girls for a while, and I loved their sketch this week….love my “threes”…..and it gave me a chance to use (again) some more Retro Fresh DP! Here’s the sketch: And here’s my card: This is really straightforward; the paper does most of the work! I stamped the birthday image from Label Love in Soft Suede and punched it out with the Artisan Label punch, then it was mounted on an Apothecary Accent diecut, on which I stamped the lines from Gorgeous Grunge and shaded the edges: I finished it with a banner embellished with some Retro Fresh washi tape! Fun! I think this is great for a masculine birthday! This also qualifies for the Stampin’ Royalty challenge this week, which is birthdays! Thanks for visiting today! Cassidy decided to give Grampy a haircut with the tools from her toolbox, although this looks more like she is piercing his ear with pliers: I’m telling you…that Grampy is a good sport!
