Hello! This gorgeous watercolored card I am sharing today uses the You've Got This stamp set and the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack for a wonderful combination. The Pretty Petals paper is retiring May 31st- so if you love this look, get the paper while you can! How To Make It: Stamp the flower on Watercolor Paper using White Craft Ink. Cover it with White Embossing Powder and emboss using the Heat Tool. With the Watermelon Wonder stamp pad closed, squeeze the lid on to the stamp pad inside. This allows you to pick up ink on the top of the inside case to create a palette. Then, use that ink to color the embossed flower using your Aqua Painter to pick up the ink from the top of the stamp pad case. Work slowly to get a wide variety of light and dark color within the small petal areas of the flower. Let that dry. Color the stem the same way using Mint Macaron ink ~ lightly. Then, add the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper to the card base. Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the Watercolor Paper and adhere to the front of the card. Well my preorder and catalog finally arrived yesterday....right when I needed to start cooking dinner! Of course right? While last night was busy for our family I was able to make a quick project with one of my new stamp sets and a few of the new In Colors. It was late when I finished it so the lighting stinks and I was taking the photos with my phone but I think you'll get the idea! I made this tag using the new set You've Got This. What a great set! I nice large flower and a fun crosshatch/sanded kind of background stamp, along with a few sentiments. I just used the flower on this project. The tag is one that opens (just cut your cardstock to 4 inches across then fold in half and then punch like usual with the scalloped tag topper punch). This is nice to be able to write a longer message inside. The flower is stamped with Stazon then colored with Blender pens and the new Watermelon Wonder, Delightful Dijon and Cucumber Crush In Colors. The scalloped oval is punched out of Cucumber Crush and the thank you is layered on top. I tied the tag with the new 1" Dotted Lace Trim in Watermelon Wonder. The box is one of the wood mount clear cases that you can buy in packs. I filled it with 13 assorted cards for a Teacher Appreciation gift. I made 2 of these for the boys teachers. Hi Again Friends! This card was created for the Splitcoaststampers’ “Hope You Can Cling To” HYCCT1530SURVIVOR Ceal’s “You’ve Got This” Challenge to create a card for encouragement. This card was fairly easy to create- stamp and mask the images from the retired Simply Soft stamp set, stamp the sentiment and color using Stampin’ Write Markers. Die cut the panel, add the Silver Cord, mount onto the embossed card front with dimensional foam and add the brads with Rhinestones to finish off the card ***FYI- I remove the prongs on the brads and use Hot Glue to adhere the brads to the card front with the final step to add the self-adhesive Rhinestones to the brad centers. I have used this stamp set so many times and I never tire of finding new ways to use it! Here I have gone all red on my card. The sentiment panel is very simple so that the flowered background is really the feature of the card. Can you see I also used the "I'm here for you" sentiment on the front too! I couldn't leave those beautiful flowers 'uncoloured'. From the photo below you can really see how I have coloured them with my Clear Wink of Stella Brush. I love the way the sunlight catches the sparkles (its hard to capture that in a photo!). Try making this card! This box was FULL of more BRAND NEW products from the Stampin' UP 2015-2016 Annual Catalog!!!!! You do not want to miss any of the projects this week! I love the background sketchy stamp and the saying stamps. I selected the NEW 2015-2017 In Colors for my color combo: Watermelon Wonder, Delightful Dijon and Cucumber Crush and Tip Top Taupe. Couple of things I love on this card: *The coloring of the flower in Watermelon Wonder with the blender pen and then fancy-cutting the flower out. I know lots of work but the result is worth it. * Using the NEW 1" Dotted Lace Trim in Watermelon Wonder on the edge. *The Delightful Dijon Washi Tape from the Bohemian Designer Washi Tape for a bit of color. Then I took the fun NEW Envelope Paper in Delightful Dijon with the Envelope Punch Board to create a simple envelope. Add some 1" Dotted Lace Trim with a tag for a special touch. It has been a lovely and warm 30 degrees today - it feels more like Summer than Spring and I am not complaining :-) The footy game is over - the local Melbourne team won and I admit if I had to pick a team it would've been purely based on that :-) Today's card is for a lovely friend who had a birthday recently and she loves all things pink so I hope she likes this one. The beautiful bloom is water coloured onto some Shimmery White card stock using an Aqua Painter. This card type gives a soft and subtle shimmer that is really heard to see in the photos but us beautiful in real life - and being slightly thicker than water colour paper it also holds it's shape really well with the added water. I used Melon Mambo, Blackberry Bliss and some Meadow Moss for the leaves and kept the water to a minimum as I wanted the colours to stay nice and bright. I hope everyone is enjoying a long weekend this Labor Day. I have been having some stamping fun and I thought I would share one of the projects I have created. The card today is for a very dear friend (really more like family), who is always there for me and my family in times of need. The colors used on this project are Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, a small amount of Cucumber Crush on the stems and the sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink Take a look at the project below and let me know what you think. Another angle with a matching envelope. The envelope by itself just adds a little flair to the whole project. Final look at the project. I love all things that sparkle and glitter. . . and I am always looking for different ways to us Glimmer Paper in my projects. Here is my project today using the You've Got This stamp set: The base card is Very Vanilla mounted on a rectangle of Basic Black cardstock to frame the card. This card has a number of layers as I wanted a sensation of luxury to prevail despite the simplicity. I stamped the flower image from the You've Got This stamp set on Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper in Versamark and dusted it with Black Stampin' Emboss Powder. Be careful when you heat the embossing powder, pull up as soon as the embossing powder goes off to avoid melting the paper. I then coloured the embossed image using Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke Classic Stampin' Ink Pads and aqua painter. Finally when it had dried I fussy cut around the image. I mounted the image on an oval of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper using dimensionals. The Glimmer Paper is mounted on a piece of Vellum Cardstock that I embossed with the Lovely Lace TIEF and mounted on top of a piece of Timeless Elegance DSP - it is a Fancy Fan design in Crumb Cake and White. Because I love texture I couldn't resist using a piece of the Tip Top Taupe Dotted Lace Trim - I covered the Glimmer Paper and stamped image at the bottom to add to the luxe textures and appeal. The sentiment "just because" is from And Many More, stamped in StazOn Black on Very vanilla, punched with the Word Window Punch and mounted with dimensionals on top of the trim.
