Sorry I totally forgot to blog last night, so it´ll have to be for both days today, and now I better get it done early today. It´s our 37th. weddinganniversary today, so I got some christmaselfes visiting last night, so I never got out here again, I´m afraid, and there might show some more tonight, so better get finished out here in good time today, I think, else it could easily go the same way today LOL. But it also means, I haven´t had time to do much, so I´ll just share a pic of my princesses here. They´ll all come here in the week-end, where we´re going to make all the marzipanconfect and goodies for christmas, so I´m sure, there´ll be plenty of pics to share then. Sorry I just got another visitor here, so I was a bit late here uploading this, so now I hope, I´ll make it before more arrives, but here´s the pics, I promissed you:. Men her er de billeder, jeg lovede: This is my granddaughter tascha, who´s 9/ Her er mit barnebarn Tascha, som er 9 And this is Trine her sister, who´s just turned 7/ Og her er Trine hendes lillesøster, som lige er blevet 7 They´re both enjoying it at grandma´s house as if they were home ha ha/ Og de nyder det begge her i mormors hus, som var de hjemme ha ha ha. Hope you all have a wonderful day and lods of fun.

....Who doesn't need a pink and gold fish?? Seriously, I don't know who I'm going to send a pink and gold fish to but I didn't need any more Valentine's Day cards so wanted to take the Colour Me challenge in a different direction and it's always nice to have some all purpose cards on hand. I'm not a huge pink fan so the Cherry Cobbler and Pink Pirouette color combo were certainly going to be a challenge. I decided a clean and simple layout would be best. After deciding to use a stamp set that hadn't seen ink in a while, By the Tide, I also pulled out some vellum to see what I could do with it as well. The card base is Cherry Cobbler with a layer of Whisper White. I stamped the coral in Cherry Cobbler and then the words in gold right onto the vellum overlay. The vellum and Whisper White layers both have the lower corner rounded for some extra interest. To adhere the vellum to the card front I simply placed all my adhesive behind the fish and flag elements once they were in place so it didn't show through. The fish was stamped in gold onto Pink Pirouette cardstock and then I cut it out and popped it up with a dimensional. The flag was stamped in gold with Just Because from the And Many More set. I added some embellishment details; gold sequin trim, pink & gold bakers twine (leftover from the January Paper Pumpkin kit) and finally some pearls above the fish to look like bubbles floating up. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: By the Tide, And many More Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Gold Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, vellum, Pink Pirouette Accessories: corner rounder, dimensionals, gold sequin trim, pink & gold baker's twine, pearls
Beste allemaal... I have another challenge card to share today. I was able to play along with several of my favorite challenges over the weekend. I had a lot of help with this one! Not only did I use CAS(e) this Sketch challenge for the layout I used the Color Coach for my colors. Can't get any easier than that. And now I have another birthday card to add to my stockpile! I don't know if it's my camera or the all cloudy days but I've been having a heck of a time getting my photos to turn out well. Even after adjusting several things in a photo editing program the colors just seem off to me! I'll keep plugging along hoping to a sunny day to see if that makes a difference! I used one of the free Sale-a-Bration sets, Big Day for this card. I started with a Whisper White card base and added a panel of Smoky Slate topped with a smaller panel of Confetti Celebration DSP. The sentiment is stamped onto Strawberry Slush with Stazon. The cake is also stamped in Stazon onto watercolor paper (it was still out on my desk after making THIS card so I thought, why not?). I used reinkers and a blender pen to color in the cake and then popped it up with dimensionals. The finished touches are some bits of sparkle in rhinestones and silver sequins and a few candy dots to bring more pink to the card. The candy dots are Melon Mambo but they looked close enough to Strawberry Slush that I went with it. Place your order today to earn FREE Sale-a-Bration rewards with purchases of $50 or more (before tax/shipping). While you're in my online store (link in the side bar) check out this fun new stamp set that was just released today, Better Than Email! It's so cute and perfect for all of your handcrafted projects! Also, great Weekly Deals too...some are already on my "to order" list! Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Big Day (SAB) Ink: Stazon, Smoky Slate, Strawberry Slush Paper: Whisper White, Smoky Slate, water color paper, Strawberry Slush, Confetti Celebrations DSP Accessories: dimensionals, rhinestones, sequins

I made this card last week for a challenge over at CAS(e) This Sketch but because of the gray weather and being short on time trying to get a decent photo was the real challenge. I finally got around to the photography and then editing but it was too late too enter it in the challenge but certainly not too late to share with you! I've mentioned before that February is a busy month birthday wise for our family so I've been concentrating a lot on those cards so I have a nice variety to choose from. This is a fun sparkly card to celebrate a special day! The cake is colored with the Pink Pirouette and Coastal Cabana Blendabilities, the cake stand with the Smoky Slate assortment and the "birthday" also the Coastal Cabana set. After coloring I filled in the cake with Crystal Effect and then sprinkled some Dazzling Diamonds into the wet C.E. Check it out: The bit of sparkle on the cake pairs nicely with the sprinkling of silver sequins and the ribbons and baker's twine at the top. The booked inspired DSP strip is from the Best Year Ever DSP pack which is a FREE reward with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration. Actually the stamp set, Big Day, DSP and Coastal Cabana Blendability assortment are all Sale-a-Bration rewards! So awesome! Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? This morning I designed a really cute pocket you can glue onto a paper lunch bag, a present or onto a scrapbook page. I've done some in color and for my adventurous ones I did a short tutorial for you how to make some any color you choose !!! Enjoy Now, open the free online software Picmonkey
First off I wanted to share with you all the New April Mood Board Challenge for April from Maja Design, it's a really beautiful board based on the new Vintage Spring collection. As I've mentioned before, if you'd like to play with this mood board and have a chance at winning a lovely Maja design collection, you can find the information on the challenge HERE. I've been wanting scrap this cute photo of my little Great-niece Kiera for while now....and I just knew I wanted to use that awesome fishnet chippie from Dusty Attic Designs....actually I used a whole lotta the Dusty Attic for this one. I used the Grass Clusters #1, Grass Clusters #2, Ornate Corner, Shells, Mini Bird Houses, Fishnet Panel, Birds a Field, Corrugated Card, plus a number of the New Dusty In Color Paints (Navajo white, Bisque, Meadow Green, Hot Chocolate and the New Mixed Media Crackle finish....AND some of their new Mini-roses!! I painted all the pieces white to start with...then used a variety of inks and paints to lightly color the chippies. The papers are a mix of the gorgeous Maja Design papers from their Vintage Summer Basics collection and their Vintage Spring Basics collection. The blue and white blooms I used here are from a bargain bin at Michaels, and I just added leaves from Dusty Attic to finish up the bloom clusters.....I love these for the perfect finish for a cluster. I painted the little bird house with Navajo White, inked with some brown chalk ink and added a coat of the DA Crackle medium. For the shell I mixed a little sand into some Gesso to add a little texture to the shell. I added a little sea glass to finish the beach look. For the corner chippie I did a little script stamping and again added the Dusty Attic Crackle medium on top of it. Here's a full list of the goodies I used to make up this page: Supplies: Chipboard: Dusty Attic (Grass Clusters #1, Grass Clusters #2, Ornate Corner, Shells, Mini Bird Houses, Fishnet Panel, Birds a Field) Corrugated Card: Dusty Attic Paints and Mediums: Dusty Attic (Navajo White, Hot Chocolate, Meadow, Bisque), Dusty Attic Crackle Medium Flowers: Dusty Mini-roses (Caramel, Sky Blue), Dusty Leaves, Petaloo (white flower), Michaels Bargain bin blooms. Patterned Paper: Maja Design ~ Vintage Summer Basics (1905, 1934), Vintage Spring Basics (April 7th) Stamps: Bo Bunny Script Stamp Rub-on: Daisy D's Other: Burlap, Cheese-cloth, loose buttons, Shells, Sea Glass, Bo Bunny Jewels Is everyone else as ready for the beach as I am? Goodness! We went to the Maple Syrup Festival here in Ontario and it was soooo cold! We had a blast and ate some great food but boy, am I ready for summer!

Endelig for første gang i Norge!!!!!!!!!
Hi everyone. Today I used a sweet digital stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy :) Love this relaxing and peaceful scene - wish I was there! :) Actually, I will be there soon as hubby and I are heading off for a few days of R&R (not really sure why we'd need R&R as we are both retired!) :) ... but after this crazy year, we definitely need a peaceful setting to kick back and unwind. We were hoping the whole family would get away together, but Evan and Nikki have to work, so it will be us and my youngest, Jer. We are off to Galiano Island soon where there are quite a few artists ... so we'll be checking out their studios - can't wait! On to the card ... I'm entering this into the latest challenge at Color Throwdown (CTD250 - bermuda bay, crumb cake, melon mambo, so saffron). Was so excited when I saw these colors ... LOVE! Color Throwdown is celebrating it's 5th Birthday - congrats to them!!! Stamps: Ocean Paradise (Sweet 'n Sassy); Beach sentiments (Amy R) Paper: Watercolor (Arches); Crumb Cake (SU!) Ink: Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Soft Suede, Basic Black (SU!) Accessories & Tools: Big Shot, Square Nestabilities (Spellbinders), blender pen, sponges, sticky strips, adhesives, and dimensionals I used the same layout as yesterday's card, just changing the shape and size to a square ... do love the simple framing layout these days :) I used the marker layering technique (using a blender pen to pick up ink from a stamp pad and blending it onto watercolor paper) to watercolor the sand, ocean, chair and umbrella. I masked the umbrella and then sponged So Saffron and Bermuda Bay inks for the sky. I removed the mask and then used my Aqua Painter to blend the sponged ink into the watercolor paper. Easy, peasy. As always, I found the perfect sentiment from Amy R (love her sets!). Hope you like. Here's a close-up: ____________________ Thanks to everyone that commented on my latest Card Candy Giveaway - #5 (Sunflowers). I used the True Random Number Generator to pick the winner of the Card Candy: True Random Number Generator Min: Max: Result: 16 Powered by RANDOM.ORG ... and the winner is ... Hi everyone. Today's Addicted to CAS challenge is being run by me!! I have picked this fun and versatile code word: This challenge's sponsor is Prize: $15 Gift Voucher (must follow challenge rules to be eligible to win) There are so many different ways to interpret this code word ... literally (ocean, waves, rain, etc.) ... or there are a number of techniques that use water (watercoloring, watercolor spritz, water drops, etc.). I have made several cards, which I hope will inspire you to join in the fun!! Note: for those of you wanting details of the recipe for each card, please scroll down to the bottom. First up, I added waves to this cute digital stamp from our sponsor, called Sails Subs & Tugs ... Here's a close-up: ____________________ The next card is "double" water ... water in the fish bowl, and I used water for my technique. Again, I used a sweet digital set from our sponsor, called Splashes ... Here's a close-up: ____________________ The third (and final) card uses the watercoloring technique (one of many) ... this one is done with diluted re-inkers and an Aqua Painter on watercolor paper. I used a new set from Stampin' Up! called Simply Sketched ... Here's a close-up: I hope I have inspired you to join in our fun challenge ... Addicted to CAS - Water. Come check out all the wonderful creations by the other Design Team members. Card #1 (Life's a Breeze) Recipe: Stamps: Sails, Subs and Tugs (Clearly Digi Stamps); Beach Sentiments (Amy R) Paper: White (C.C. Designs); Pacific Point (SU!) Ink: Real Red (SU!); Copics: R27, R29, Y21, W4 Accessories & Tools: Big Shot, Wave die (MFT), rainbow-striped washi tape (Doodlebug), Stamp-a-ma-jig, glue, and dimensionals The image is printed onto my card front and then colored with copics. I printed off an extra flag, placed rainbow-striped washi tape over and then cut it out and glued it on top. I added a whole length of washi tape to the inside of the card for interest ... you can just see the corner peeking out, but the stripes are all colors of the rainbow - love it! The sentiment is from Amy R ... she has THE best sentiment collection! Card #2 (Hugs and Fishes) Recipe: Stamps: Splash (Lisa's Doodley Doos) Paper: White, Whisper White, Gumball Green (SU!) Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point (SU!): Copics: Y21, YR07, YR24 Accessories & Tools: Big Shot, Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Grass die (Cheery Lynn), acetate sheet, water, sponges, adhesives, glue, and dimensionals I sponged Whisper White cardstock with Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point inks. Then I used a squeeze bottle to place just a little water in my hand and then flicked it onto my sponged cardstock. I used a paper towel to blot up the excess water. The card front is cut with a circle nestability ... I just had my top cutting plate line up below the top of the circle so it only cut a partial circle, then I just cut along the top with my scissors. Again, I used a sweet digital stamp from our sponsor for this challenge (Clearly Digi Stamps), called Splashes - designed by Lisa Lara (Lisa's Doodley Doos). The sentiment is also from the set. I used copics to color the fish and then fussy-cut them out and adhered them on top of the "water". I placed an acetate sheet to the back of the die-cut card front to give the fish bowl shine, and then glued a small strip of grass to the bottom. The card front is popped up on the card base. Card #3 (Watercolored Poppies) Recipe Stamps: Simply Sketched (SU!) Paper: White, Watercolor Ink: Staz-on Black, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Real Red, Old Olive (SU!) Accessories & Tools: Aqua Painter, Paint Palette, Water, Stamp-a-ma-jig, adhesives, and dimensionals I stamped the image onto watercolor paper using the Staz-on Black ink. I put three drops of re-inker for Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Real Red and Old Olive into separate cups in a paint palette and added three drops of water to each to dilute. I used my Aqua Painter to add the diluted ink to the image. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement of the sentiment.
I was able to make another card using supplies from the upcoming Occasions catalog and 2015 Sale-a-bration. I really need to get all of my Christmas to do list finished up so I can have some more time to play with my box of goodies. I made this card using the Retro Sketches challenge. I broke out the Butterflies thinlits that are just gorgeous. Like with other thinlets using a bit of wax paper when cutting the image will help all the little pieces fall out. I layered 2 of the middle sized butterflies and popped the top Crisp Cantaloupe one with dimensionals. The vine paper is so cool! It's a Sale-a-Bration selection called Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP. It's white with the glossy images already on the paper so you can sponge, daub, spritz or color however you would like. The ink on the images just wipes off with a tissue. Think emboss resist but you don't have to break out your heat gun. There are 6 different patterns and they are regular 12x12 sheets and you get 2 of each pattern. I used a sponge and Pear Pizzazz ink and went from lighter to darker for my background. I added some punched scalloped border along the side. I went a little crazy with the embellishments but it was fun adding the rhinestones and candy dots and used the lightest Calypso Coral Blendabilities marker to color the small rhinestones. It's a great match for Crisp Cantaloupe! The sentiment is also new in the Sheltering Tree set and I added a Soft Sky cotton twine bow to pull in a bit more of that color. Off to check my list! Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Sheltering Tree (Occasions) Ink: Pear Pizzazz Paper: Whisper White, Irresistibly Yours DSP (SAB), Soft Sky, Crisp Cantaloupe Accessories: candy dots, rhinestones, Blendabilities, dimensionals, scallop border punch, Butterflies thinlets (Occasions), cotton twine (Occasions)
