Hello... Jenny here :0) I finally broke into my Fresh Cut Florals from Wplus9 and had to have a go at flower arranging!! Seriously, this stamp set is just amazing and it's so easy to get pretty results everytime, I made a floral swag along the top of a white piece of textured card..... I have left my Fresh Cut Floral dies wired together for the time being as it's easier to run them through in one go on white card and then stamp out the flowers and leaves afterwards. I could easily have sat for a while, happily stamping away with different colour combos on the die-cuts which means you can always keep some extras on hand for a quickie card... just pop them in the packet with the stamps or dies for another day :0) Unfortunately these little beauties are out of stock but the dies can be found here and they really do make using the stamps a dream. I used this set for the sentiment. Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend :0) Jenny x
WPlus9 February 2015 Release So far all of my cards for this release have used soft colors with a lot of pinks and blues. I really wanted to show off the new PURECOLOR Dye Ink: The Storybook Collection. The colors are beautiful and work so well together. However, today my colors are bold and contrasting. I really wanted this flower image, from Botanical Bunch, to pop. WPlus9 Supplies Stamps: Botanical Bunch {Available 2/5/15}, Strictly Sentiments 4 // Dies: Sunshine Layers {Available 2/5/15} //Cardstock: Black, White, Cupids Bow I stamped this large floral bunch in Versafine black ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then colored the images using my Copic markers. I used YG95 and YG97 for the leaves. I used YR04 and R08 for the small fan shaped flowers. I used R29 and R59 for the large poppies. Finally, I used the R59 again for the small dark flowers. I stamped a simple sentiment from Strictly Sentiments 4 and created a black frame using Sunshine Layers Dies. Thanks so much for stopping by today. What are your favorite new products? Visit Maureen, Dawn, and Joni for more release projects and giveaways. Hey there, I saw this video by Dawn Woleslagle and instantly fell in love with this Flora & Fauna2 set. She is extremely talented artist and I got so much inspired by her water colouring that I bought the set. I tried it on water colour paper..... ......didn't get that soft transparent look but learned a thing...in water colouring little goes long way. Anyway, I am going to try again and again till i get that desired look...:) And then I made a card my way...:) It is a side fold card. I drew a line with pencil 1" away from right edge and stamped and emboss butterflies in gold. I fussy cut butterflies and removed that 1"strip. Black strip was added inside of the card to provide contrast. Even though it is a single layer card, the partially cut butterflies give it a 3D look. They are coloured with various distress inks. I have used the same technique on this card too. Hope you will like it. See you soon...till then... happy crafting!
**This is my second post today! If you are looking for my Lawnscaping Challenges post, please scroll down!** Hello there! It's time for another Sparkle and Shine Challenge! This week we are having a sketch challenge based on this sketch: Our sponsor this week is the super fabulous gang at Winnie and Walter! You can win a $25 gift card! Let me start by saying that I struggle with sketch challenges. They really ARE a challenge for me! LOL! I knew I wanted to play with my new WPlus9 Doodle Buds stamp set. This stamp set is pretty much perfection in my book. Perfect for coloring techniques, and a whimsical style which I absolutely adore. I knew as soon as I saw the peeks of this stamp set that I had to have it, and it does not disappoint! I started off by stamping a bunch of flowers and leaves on Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor paper using Versafine Black Onyx ink. Then I colored the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, After they were dry, I diecut them with the coordinating dies. For the different layers on my card, I used the larger frame from new Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die set, and the smaller banner from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Party Banners die set. I cut off the holes from the banner with my paper trimmer, and then ran the banner diecut back through my Big Shot with with Wonky Stitches frame to give the banner the same stitched edge as the other panel. I arranged the blooms where I wanted them, and then before gluing them down, I stamped the stems. The sentiment, from the Doodle Buds stamp set is stamped on a banner die cut from the Avery Elle die set, and then I added some of my favorite Sparkling Clear 4mm and 6mm Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to finish things off. Be sure to stop over at the blog to check out all of the challenge details and get lots more inspiration from the design team! Thanks for stopping by! :) Supplies: Stamps: WPlus9 Doodle Buds Dies: WPlus9 Doodle Buds, Avery Elle Wonky Stitches, Lawn Fawn Stitched Party Banners Paper: PTI White, Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper Other: Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, Foam Tape, Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear 4mm and 6mm sequins

Recently my family cruised the Baltic Sea, visiting six wonderful countries. I just can't seem to plan ahead - because I found myself needing another gift set and I had around an hour to do it. There's nothing to do ...
Hey folks! It's so good to be back here and I'm really excited to be sharing this card today. I posted this to my Instagram account a while back and had a really positive response (thank you!). I'm happy to finally be sharing it here on my blog because so many people had questions about the which stamp I used, what colors of Copic Markers I used and how did I do the coloring. I'll start by saying that I am actually pretty new to Copic coloring and I don't have as much time to practice as I wish I did. This card took me multiple sit downs over many days because it's rare for me to have the time to sit and finish something like this all at once (yes, it took me hours to finish but it was fun). I used the WPlus9 Hibiscus Bouquet Stamp set and stamped it multiple times on my cardstock in a Copic friendly ink. I started out coloring the yellow flowers. I think I did that because they are the easiest part of the image and they are in the "front" of the image. I moved on to the green leaves, the pink flowers and finally finished with the long blue leaves. I'll share all of the Copic Marker colors that I used at the bottom of the post. I colored the whole background light gray. The cool gray markers seem to be the ones I reach for most and they are the markers that create the most drama on this card. If you look closely you can see that I've used gray markers for some additional shading where I didn't achieve the depth and dimension I had hoped for with my original color choices. This is a great trick if you're looking to add some shadows but are worried about picking the wrong color to do it with. I also used the grays to add some drop shadows. I used lighter grays to add depth and I used a slash of the darker gray (maybe a C7? I'm so sorry that I didn't take note of which grays I used) under the leaves to make them look like they are popping off of the page. I love this tiny sentiment from Simon Says Stamps. I was looking for a small sentiment because I didn't want to cover up much of my background. I also wanted something meaningful because I was mailing this off to a friend who I both treasure and miss. I heat embossed the sentiment in white on black and it was perfect for this card. I added some clear sequins in different sizes and that was it! Wait! Actually that was not it! I used both a black sharpie and a white gel pen on this card. I used the sharpie to get even more depth in the really dark parts of the design. I used the gel pen on the stamen and to add some highlights to the pink flower petals. Don't forget that if you're trying this yourself. These little details can make a big difference! Ok, I know you're waiting for the list of Copic Colors that I used so here they are along with a link to Blick Art Materials where I like to buy my Copics: R14 R22 Y02 Y08 YG01 YG03 YG05 YG09 YG17 YG67 BG11 BG15 BG18 RV000 RV02 RV06 C0 through C7 Alright! That's it for today folks. I hope you have some fun coloring something up on your own and I will see you back here soon! Have an awesome day! Maria
