Updated Materials!!!! Data Sheets and Materials needed to complete the VBMAPP Levels 1. Materials are presented in a variety of ways (arrays, flashcards, one page, etc). Everything you need to help complete the assessment in one spot. Just print and go! Included in this kit are materials and data sheets Level 1: Printable Materials: Tact, Listener Responding, Motor Imitation + Data Sheets that match materials Data Sheets: All objectives (except Echoic) The materials in this kit are to help simplify the administration of the VB-MAPP (not a replacement) It is important that the assessor has read the guidelines and instructions presented in the VB-MAPP Guide book. The information provided in this resource is to help the administration of the VB-Mapp Milestones. Materials and data sheets are provided for milestones that require direct testing. The images and questions chosen for these milestones should be sufficient for the majority of students. However, in some cases students my not recognize the examples provided. In those cases, fill free to provide equivalent examples that are familiar to that student. Supplemental data sheets are provided for other milestones that are more student driven or specific. These data sheets can be used at your discretion. Some of the milestones require materials such as blocks, puzzles, or objects. These will be provided by the assessor. There is an observation grid that I have created to help identify the milestones that require timed observations or direct observations. This grid is a cumulative way to look at skills to be observed by the students.
Professional recommendations for treatment materials to be used with the skills identified in the VBMAPP Manding category.
Hi Everyone! A while back, I posted some picture cards and a data sheet for Level 2-7 Tact and Listener Responding on the VB-MAPP and I have since realized that the data sheet was just not as efficient as it could have been! I wasted too much time searching for the items on the sheet during assessment and it was seriously annoying. So I decided today that I would make a new one that was in alphabetical order (searching for one item out of 50 is too exhausting when there is no real order!) and had columns for both Tact and Listener Responding since you can use the cards for both sections on the VB-MAPP. Hope you guys enjoy! I am crumpling up my old data sheet for this and saying goodbye! Here is the download!!

This is a nice little packet for all of the Mand objectives on the VB-MAPP. I love the way this data sheet is laid out - it includes all the criteria for each objective and it gives space to write in what you observe. Some of those Level 3 mands are tough right?! Especially the intraverbal mands... whew. Even my most verbal guys right now aren't even close to that yet. Those are some high level expectations for our kiddos with autism. I applaud you if you are seeing your students get there! I got this data sheet from a colleague who got it from another teacher, and so on. It has been floating around our department so I am unsure who exactly made it but I hope it spreads far and wide for all VB-MAPP testers out there to use! Here is the link! - Happy Friday! :) sample page for level 2!

Being able to answer WH questions such as who, what, where and when can be difficult for a lot of our learners. Even more so difficult for students with autism. Use these WH question cards throughout the school year in your speech groups and in 1:1 sessions to help students visually learn how to respond to and discriminate between these tricky WH questions. These WH hands on question cards focus on Many students with Autism and other speech language difficulties struggle with both answering WH questions as well as discriminating between the different WH questions. The use of visual supports when teaching WH questions has been shown to enhance both the answering and understanding of WH questions. This packet contains 152 different WH question visual cards for Who, What, When and Where. Each WH question has a visual cue pertaining to the main part of the question, and then 4 visual options are provided from which the student is to select the correct answer. Tabbed covers/dividers are provided so that each WH category can be separated if needed. To further aid in teaching/assessing mastery of this skill, WH question posters of each question included in the flash cards are provided. This allows teachers to verbally ask their students the questions when presented multiple options in a group AND the option to ask questions in a different order each time the task is presented. This reduces the chance of students merely memorizing the order of answers (and not ‘truly’ answering the question). WH posters are provided in each discrete WH question category AND each category mixed/interspersed (to aid in discriminating between each category) Specifically in this packet you will find: -36 Who questions -60 What questions -20 When questions -36 Where questions Individual cards of all 152 WH questions (with 4 visual question choices) 5 WH category posters (Who, What X2, Where, Where)- Question list for each poster. Reduced arrays (6 visuals) for each category. Question lists for all posters/arrays 5 mixed category WH posters Reduced arrays (6 visuals) for all questions. Question lists for all posters/arrays

Tonight I decided to check my email for this blog and I had a lot of emails with requests for more materials (specifically VB-MAPP data sheets). I was really touched knowing there are people out there reading this blog... and I was also completely guilt stricken for taking a 5 month hiatus from sharing with you all! Last night and today I spent about 7 hours in total making picture cards and a data sheet that can be used to test the Level 2-7 TACT objective on the VB-MAPP. I am pretty proud of this document because I sized each item to perfection and I am usually rather awful at anything computer related! The materials provided are for the objective that is testing the ability to tact 50 items, across 3 examples each. I thought of 50 items that are common for preschoolers, broke them into categories, and looked for 3 different pictures for each item. There are 150 pictures total. The document is almost 40 pages long so get ready to dominate the printer! Download the picture cards HERE!!! Download the data sheet HERE!!! I hope you all enjoy! Please send more emails so that I stay connected and accountable! EDIT: updated on Jan. 27, 2014: I have a new data sheet posted that is much better than the one included in this post. check it out here An example of one of my pages!
