Kernaussage der neuen Studie ist: Es ist nicht die Distanz der beiden Rektusbäuche (gerade Bauchmuskeln) die interessant ist, sondern eher der Zustand bzw. die Beschaffenheit der Mittellinie. Demnach ist es relativ zwecklos und anatomisch nicht logisch, nur die „Lücke“ zu schließen.
