This is a new bundle coming in the new catalogue, available 1st May 2024. I just love this new bundle - Spotlight on Nature! The dies, that nest so well, are just gorgeous! And, if you like to color, and fussy cut, the stamps will fit the bill as well! I chose the new InColor, Summer Splash, for this Monochromatic card. It has so many possibilities, in so many colors! Measurements: Summer Splash (N) 1/4 sheet Basic White: 5 1/4" x 8 1/8", 3 1/2" circle InColor Glimmer Paper (N): 3/8" x 5 1/4" Summer Splash Unbounded Beauty DSP (N): 1 1/8" x 5 1/4" (front), 1/2" x 5 1/4" (inside) (Summer Splash Watercolor) To Make This Card: Attach folded White card to Summer Splash base. Attach DSP next to crease, and Glimmer paper beside, or a little on, as desired. Stamp "flowers" in Memento Ink onto square of White. Die cut with die shown. Color "flowers" with Summer Splash Blends, and leaves in Lemon Lime Twist. Add Wink of Stella to the "flowers". Attach circle to card front with Dimensionals. Stamp sentiment in Summer Splash in lower right corner. Attach DSP strip to the inside. Finish with a knot of Summer Splash ribbon and scattered Shimmer Gems in Summer Splash. De opdracht van deze maand was voor ons: Bundled Up! We mochten allemaal zelf een bundel kiezen (stempels met stansen of pons) en hebben daar onze uitwerkingen mee gemaakt. Dit zijn mijn uitwerkingen geworden: Ik gebruikte de SU-per leuke bundel 'Sweet as a Peach'. Ik was meteen verliefd op deze bundel en nu voor het eerst kaartjes ermee gemaakt! 3 kaartjes, voor een beginnende, gemiddelde en gevorderde stempelaar. Met voor de beginner #simplestamping op 1 laag, alleen de basiskaart en 3 kleurtjes inkt en een paar plakparels. Voor de gemiddelde stempelaar heb ik deze kaart gemaakt, met wat laagjes, gestanste afdrukjes en een achtergrond gemaakt met inkt en de Blending Brush. Ook op de afdrukjes van de perziken (Pale Papaya) heb ik met de Blending Brush en inkt een donkerdere schaduw gemaakt (Calypso Coral). En op de kaart voor gevorderden heb ik ook nog DSP (Designpapier) en lint toegevoegd. Een close-up van de perziken, gaaf zijn ze he?! Ook de binnenkant heb ik bewerkt van deze laatste kaart.. I was waylaid from sharing the other Timeless Tropical bundle cards but here they are now. Both cards are adapted using mostly the same elements from my original class card you'll find here. You'll see all the cards together at the end of this post too. Version 1 is a remix of the original class kit, with the frangipani taking over from the hibiscus in the original. Still loving that amazing bird of paradise paper print too. The frangipani's are stamped in Saddle Brown Staz On ink and coloured with a little watercolour pencil blended out with an Aqua Painter. The sentiment in Soft Suede ink which was stamped off once. Inside is super simple - coordinating sentiment (Soft Suede not stamped off - oops) and another frangipani. I'm so glad I can stamp as many of them as I like, as I'm not very good at keeping the real ones alive. Version 2 - I mixed it up with a print from the Birthday Bonanza paper pack - yes the cute pack with koalas & lions & birds! - plus a Crumb Cake panel embossed with the Coastal Weave 3d embossing folder. Sadly this one's not carrying over to the new catalogue so get it now. I created a cluster of hibiscus & frangipani using the same pieces as the class version, and added some greenery using the top of the pineapple die in the bundle. I had one more coloured hibiscus so I added that inside. So that's the full set of themed cards shared using the Timeless Tropical Bundle and Tropical Oasis suite. Here they all are together. I took the chance to escape one of the hottest days this summer by retreating to my craft room. I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for inspiration. Really, the sketch was an excuse to play because I'd been wanting to try out Peaceful Moments using a mix of gold foil and pigment sprinkles. I started by using the Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody pigment sprinkles on a wet piece of Fluid 100 watercolour paper and letting them do their magic. I built the rest of the card around them. I'm really pleased with the vibrancy and colour variation in them. I didn't completely adhere the gold foil to the bases because I like the look you get when the edges are free and floating.
