Good afternoon! It is time for another technique challenge over on the SSINKspiration blog and this month we're using the sunburst technique which I never used before but is super easy, and a great way to show off lots of patterns of paper (and use up scraps). I used Old Olive cardstock for the cardbase and then added Early Espresso as the cardfront and the mat for my sunburst. I cut several pieces of Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper and then cut them in half diagonally (the Stampin' Trimmer is perfect for this) and then started piecing the design together. Now I'll admit, I planned on my card being tall but after I put all the pieces together I noticed my deer on the one piece would have been sideways so I just flipped the card and now my deer are right side up. After I added all the pieces I used my trimmer again to cut off all the excess so I had nice clean edges. To finish off the card I used the Timeless Tidings stamp set for the greeting and stamped in in Shady Spruce ink on Whisper White cardstock and then cut it out with the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits. I used the Layering Circles Framelits and Real Red cardstock to cut a scalloped circle mat for the greeting and then attached the piece with dimensionals. I love this card because it lets the designer series paper really be the star and you don't need lots of supplies to make it. Go check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create. Hi everyone, sharing the card I made for our Stamparoos Stampin' Up! Group Swap that was held last night. We had to make our card or project using something new out of the new catalogue. As my preorder arrived last week, I was a bit spoilt for choice. I changed my mind several times. This is the card that I decided to use as my swap. I have used a new In-colour, Grapefruit Grove along with patterned paper from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. The stamp set is "Love What You Do". These products are part of the Share What You Love Suite that is available from 1 May 2018. I reckon that the person who gets to name all the Stampin' Up! ink colours has the best job in the world. I love all the names that they come up with. Thank you for visiting. Carolyn Share:facebook - twitter - pinterest Group Swap

Hey there stamping friends! After spending a good couple of days in the craft room after a short hiatus, I've managed to 'pump' out a few cards, playing with some of the new products that I recently purchased from the new 2018 - 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. I'm also to playing along with this weeks challenge over at Global Design Project 142 | #GDP142 and it's my favourite type of challenge - a sketch challenge!! Whoop, Whoop!! I've been playing with products from the super gorgeous Tropical Escape Suite from the new catalogue. This is one of the suites that I had to have every products from the suite and I couldn't wait to create with it all. Its gorgeous, its fun, it's summery, it's tropical, it's just and all round amazing suite! I've layered some of the Tropical Chic images with the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies for a fun and eclectic look. I started the card with the two prints from the 6"x6" Tropical Escape DSP stack and then the card grew from there. I'm a real sucker for black and white and anything with pink and this DSP has all that as well as two new colours Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green. It's so gorgeous!! How stunning is the Shaded Spruce colour??!! I'm not usually one to go ga-ga over greens but as soon as I stamped that large leaf in the Shaded Spruce I was like 'WOW'. It's deep and rich and I can see it being a real hit with those Christmas Creations for that traditional 'green' colour. I just love the super gorgeous images from the Tropical Chic Stamp Set. They are taking me away to to those stunning islands in the South Pacific like the Cook Islands and making me wish I was there right now instead of this dreary, cold winters day that we have here in Melbourne. Go and check out the stunning inspiration from the Global Design Project Team. There is lots of amazing creations and talent there and lots to be inspired by! Thanks so much for stopping by! Good Day Crafty Friends, Welcome to this fortnight's Colour INKspiration Challenge #36. Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Western Australia. The Colour INKspiration Design Team have created some absolutely amazing cards to inspire you, so be sure to hop all the way through. We have a gorgeous inspiration picture and earthy colour scheme for you to play along with. I am not going fib, when I first saw this inspiration picture I was torn, I love the images but so not a fan of Crushed Curry or Soft Suede and immediately knew if I over thought it I would struggle. I knew I wanted to use the new Tropical Chic bundle but these colours didn't exactly scream tropical lol. The card base has been stamped using Basic Grey ink stamped off along with Crushed Curry. The cluster base has been created using the new Foliage Frame Framelits cut in Whipser White card and then the Frangapani Flower has been inked using Crushed Curry ink. The die cuts were created using the Tropical chic bundle from Soft Suede card When I find a colour challenge a little tricky, due to colours not in my heavy used list, then I often make a couple of cards. This way I have options and just in case some attempts are complete failure then I have something to fall back on. The second card uses the large square framelit die cut from Soft Suede and adhered to a layer of Silver Foil card. Again the Basic Grey was stamped off for the Frangipani leaves and the border detail stamp applied to the bottom of the card front. The celebrate you thinlits were used to die cut the words from Crushed Curry and Soft Suede card. The third card didn't make the cut, what it did make was a screwed up ball in the rubbish bin LOL. INKspired to join the challenge? It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by hopping around to see what all of the Colour INKspiration Crew have to show you. Then you have 12 days from today to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do you can link back to your post. Make sure you use all of the challenge colours. You can also use neutrals such as white, black, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Metallics. Not a member of the Facebook group yet? Just click here and ask to join Colour INKspiration, add the group to your favourites and share it with your crafty friends so they can join in the fun too. We can't wait to see what you create with these gorgeous colours. Up next in the blog hop is my very talented friend, Bronwyn Eastley all the way over in Tasmania. Enjoy xx Thanks for stopping by today, until next time, stay awesome
