June 26, 2017 Hey there! I finally got around to playing with Monika’s sketch at Creating Pretty Cards Challenge #72 at Craft Project Central. I have to say it has a lot of elements but in th…

I really love the look of the Typeset dsp painted with a layer of gesso. Gesso can be found in the art supply section of your craft store. Now I’m no expert on this, but I think it’s …
I've thought long and hard about why SU have named this set "Oh So Eclectic", still haven't been able to come up with anything that seems reasonable and sound. I would love to hear your thoughts, feel free to leave a comment below. Nevertheless, I'm just in love with this set. This is my second blog post about this set already and I'm sure it won't be the last. Here I have used the stain glass technique, where I have powder embossed the image in white on vellum paper. Turning the paper over, I have coloured in the flower on the reverse side with blender pen, in doing so I was able to achieve the look of stain glass image. I have used the new in colour Fresh Fig, and lemon lime twist. Adhering vellum to card stock can be a bit tricky as it is transparent and the adhesive glue tends to show through, or there is often a discolouration on spots where there is adhesive. Leave it looking all spotty and discoloured. I used a trick I have learnt from one of the Onstage local presentations, can't quite remember her name right now, but she used a cotton bud to spread the adhesive glue all over the vellum, leaving only a thin layer on the surface, allowing it to stick without discolouring or leaving it looking spotty. Quite happy with how they turned out. Other than the technique, it's a really straightforward card with a simple layout. I had to fussy cut out the flower and the leaves sitting on top of the greeting, as I don't yet have the coordinating thinlit dies, which I will be sure to get once the we are allowed to order them from the new catalogue at the beginning of June. I am an independent Stampin' Up Demonstator with a wealth of experience in crafting in various forms. I am very grateful for your visit today, and I hope that you've enjoyed looking at my projects. Hope you can stop by again really soon.

One of the most important Serbian artists of the 20th century, he was a friend of Modigliani in Paris, and a prolific painter of views in Serbia.
Two young women painters left Stockholm to study in Paris in 1883. Good friends, their paths diverged, but their paintings were full of light – including a real gem.
I love how this card turned out. I started with a half sheet of card stsock and folded it in half. Placed it in my Stampin' Trimmer with the Rotary Addition and used theTiny Wave Blade to cut it at

Organic shapes, hand-made and saturated colors, this is Miranda Makaroff’s recipe, which goes from collaborations with fashion brands to design installations.
I'll never tire of making printable tags for junk journals. I started out to make tags with a St. Patrick's Day theme. However, I ended up making tags that, for the most part, feature greens (not nece
This was the very first card I made for the display boards. Don't you just love the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. It was on the top of my wish list when I looked through the new catalog. I can't tell you how happy I was to get this in my box of supplies. I was going for a shabby, distressed look but I didn't quite achieve it. My engineering background just doesn't let me be free--everything ends up looking orderly. Quite a few years ago I took an oil painting class at the San Antonio School of Art and my instructor told me I painted too politely! Now I'm pretty sure that wasn't a compliment. I was trying so hard to get out of the box. I ended up doing best at sketching since that fit with my need to be precise. What is your style? Or what style would you love to emulate? I'd love to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by!
I used the Stampin’ Up! Eclectic Garden stamp set to create a set of note cards to share with you today.

A selection of paintings showing Blake’s strength in design beyond normal artistic composition – a very modern feature.
Why did the Pre-Raphaelites want to return to the ‘purity’ of painting before Raphael? Did they succeed?
Much more than just a court painter, Velázquez rose from the ranks to become the King’s friend, and ultimately died as a result of his royal duties.
