This is the quick and easy card we made in my stamp clubs in San Antonio this month using the Bootiful Occasions rubberstamp set. This stamp set is so fun to use! We always make one quick
I love this set of stamps. I knew as soon as I saw it, I would use each and every stamp. So, starting today and on through Monda...
It won't be long now before we will be getting our boots out! I don't have any as cute as these but my toes will be toasty warm. This card was a make & take at this month's workshop and Monthly Card Class. The background is stamped with Illuminate ink pad using the Festive Flurry Snowflake (HM pg 30). I stamped the boot on Whisper White and Pool Party then cut out the Pool Party boot and glued it on top of the White base. Use the White gel pen to color in the pom pom on the Pool Party. We glammed out the boots with a Rhinestone. Stamp Sets: Bootiful Occasions, Festive Flurry Ink: Stazon Black, White Gel Pen, Illuminate Card Stock: Whisper White, Pool Party, Winter Frost- DSP And More: Rhinestones
Just Add Ink 173 At Just Add Ink this week, the criteria is 'Just Add Water.' The first stamp that came to my mind was Bootiful Occasions - with the gumboots. I love pretty gumboots and have a pair at our front door that I wear when visiting my husband at his shed! "When the rain is done, out comes the sun!" How I made my pretty gumboots: I stamp the first boot directly to the card, a bit off centre because I want to add the other boot on top. Clean the stamp and use a marker and only draw the outline of the boot (not the clouds) and stamp that onto Designer Paper. I then carefully cut out the paper piece and glue onto stamped boot. Repeat for the second boot, however stamp it onto whisper white cardstock and not directly to the card, cut this out and place off centre over other boot. I also used my markers to add some shadow areas, so it didn't look too paper like and added extra dimension by applying crystal effects to each gumboot, which I don't think the photo is showing very well. One of my new favourite papers from the 2014 Catalogue is Gingham Garden. It's just so me! Stamp Set: Bootiful Occasions (pg24) Accessories: Crystal Effects (pg 174) Designer Series Paper: Gingham Garden (pg153) Colour Combination: Whisper White ; Coastal Cabana ; So Saffron ; Daffodil Delight ; Melon Mambo Thanks for stopping by, Lou X
I designed this card for a class and I think everyone liked it! For bling, I used 2-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds on the boot. The colors of cardstock are Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, and Whisper White. I used the new Gumball Green Core'dinations Cardstock and Sanding Block for the Top Note die cut piece. I stamped the image in Black Stazon ink and colored it in with Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green Stampin' Markers. April 6, 2015 Crafty Ones, Don’t Forget! And now, a fun card I created when I played around with the Freshly Made Sketches # 180 this morning. I wanted to use my new SU Bootiful Occasions st…
I received this card at convention as one of my swaps from demonstrator Teresa Clark-Massey and really liked the idea of it and knew I wanted to use it in one of my stamp classes. Her red plaid paper is retired and, unfortunately, the star punches and hemp are also […]
A Bootiful Occasion is a pretty neat stamp set, but these boots had me stumped. My "studio" (sounds fun!) is proof that I've tried a number of different ways of presenting them before I came up with this. I like it, it's simple and I feel good. Stamped on Real Red with Versamark and then embossed using White Stampin' Up! Emboss Powder adds a wintery touch. The card front was embossed with the Delicate Designs Folder that gives the impression of snowflakes in the background. And then, back to the workbench! I CASE'd a card from the Stampin' Up! catalog and created this card. I hope you use your catalog for inspiration - it's amazing how many different ways you can use the same stamp set. A little Victorian and a completely different feel. And keep watching for a Cowboy Christmas card coming soon featuring the great cowboy (or girl, in this case) boot stamp that is also part of this set. Shop now! It’s Friday and so I’m back with another Christmas idea This time our Christmas card uses the all occasion Bootiful Occasions stamp set. Now I had originally planned a more simple card that could be made in bulk … but this stamp set just cries out for colouring in. And then again I wanted the […]
What could be prettier than a pop of rich colors, a simple image and a wee bit of bling? This kickin' little card for my "20-something" niece was inspired by my tip for today and #6 in my Top 10 Ways to Get Your Stampin' Mojo Going: NATURE! STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS: The ombr? effect of these
Our June demonstrator get together for Stamping to Share featured a 'Make It Manly' swap. Here are the swaps - so outstanding! Hope you enjoy them as much as I am!! Faith's card features the Open Sea stamp set and the new stamp set called Ray of Sunshine. Here is the inside of Faith's card . . . and it is most delightful! Mary's card also features the Open Sea Stamp set. She made a lovely tri-fold card showcasing the new designer series paper called Maritime. The small sentiment on the front of the card is from Teeny Tiny Wishes

These boots are made for walking... and for great cards! My customers will get to make two of these cards at a 10-card class tonight. I CASE'd this design from page 51 of the Stampin' Up! catalog. The boots are from the Bootiful Occasions stamp set. I used a 2" x 4" piece of Polka Dot Patterns dsp, a 2-1/2" punched circle of Daffodil Delight, a Brights button with white linen thread, and a 7/8" x 4-3/4" strip of Real Red card stock. The boots were stamped in Real Red and then I used a Bashful Blue marker to color in the "sky." The sentiment is perfect for my neck of the woods. It's been quite a wet summer so far, but the sun is shining today. Happy Stampin'!
I hope you are ready to "kick up yer heels" and participate in this week's Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge (PPA141). It's another beauty by Stampin' Pretty Pal Margaret Moody. For more artistic inspiration, please check out what the rest of the PPA Design Team has created for this sketch
Hello Peeps !!! Happy Wednesday !!! I just did not get around posting sooner but here is a card that I did at a demo swap. It features the In Colors which I am kind of glad they kept because I really enjoy using these colors. The boot was stamped, colored and Crystal Effects added on the clouds. I used the Cloud EF for my background. Hope you like it. RECIPE: Stamps: Bootiful Occasions Paper: Island Indigo and DSP, Pool Party and Calypso Coral DSP, Whisper White Ink: Island Indigo Accessories: pol party ruffled ribbon, baker's twine, CE Tools: Big Shot, Cloud EF, dimensionals Thanks for stopping by. ...that was the refrain between my Mom and I every time we asked ourselves if it needed just one more rhinestone, lol! Howdy, friends, and welcome to another week at The Paper Players where our gal pal Anne Marie is hosting a fun challenge! Paper Piecing! I love paper piecing. Stamping on patterned paper adds an extra element of interest to your stamped image. For this challenge, I knew I wanted to use the new set, Bootiful Occasions, to make a get well card for my dear friend Anne Marie. You may not know that she had surgery on BOTH feet two weeks ago and I thought this set matched her perky personality and love of shoes! So, I kinda missed the boat on the clean-and-simple part but seeing as this was a card for Anne Marie's challenge and for her personally, I couldn't resist kickin' it up a 'notch (sorry, had to)! I started by heat embossing the kickin' cowgirl boot with black embossing powder onto Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Marina Mist designer patterned paper. Of course, I had to dress up these boots with graduated rhinestones--those glossy black stars were crying out for some bling! Did I mention this was for Anne Marie? ;-) Anywho, I placed them at a "kicky" angle around a Window Frame Framelit that I pierced with the matching Festive Piercing Pack. This card base is 4 1/4" square which means that I could extend the flagged banner off the edge and still fit the card in a standard envelope for mailing. At the suggestion of my Mom, (thanks mom!), I added some more rhinestones on the flagged end to give it sort of a Vegas marquee effect! I typed up the inside sentiment on my computer, printed it on Whisper White cardstock and cut to size. A few stamped boots match the front and finish off the inside in style! Anne Marie, I hope this brings a smile to your face and that you're kickin' up yer heels again real soon! And friends, I hope you'll stop on by the rest of The Paper Players design team for some fun inspiration. If you want to play along, just make sure to do so by Friday, August 24th @ Noon (PST). Hello Stamper Friends, Well, it's finally here!!! I think I have everything packed and ready to head out in the morning, 7:30 is going to come really early! I was almost done with my second house today and my back...
That would pretty much describe my mood since seeing all of my fellow Control Freaks at Convention!! You should just come from the amazing creations of Dawn Olchefske (the woman is a stampin' genius!). Our theme this months is "Freak for All" ... we are sharing cards that we swapped at Convention (for those of us who were there) AND some of the new goodies that will be available from the Holiday Mini. Soooo ... let's get started!! This is my first Convention Freak Swap. Since I love ALL things Halloween, I couldn't RESIST the cute little witchy-poo boot!! And I decided she needed a broom to match (the owl punch works nicely as some straw for my broom, don'tcha think??) Stamps: Bootiful Occasions Paper: Basic Black, Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso Ink: Basic Black Accessories: Apothecary Accents Die, Owl Punch, Paper Piercing Mat/Tool, Rhinestone Basics, Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Spiderweb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Chevron Textured Impressions Folder, Simply Scored Next, I had to make a floral card for my Freaky friends. I am sooo drawn to floral stamps (aren't we ALL??). I would probably be just fine making floral cards all the time (I guess I do most of the time, anyway!). And the new paper piercing templates are DA BOMB!! Stamps: Summer Silhouettes, Curly Cute Paper: Lucky Limeade, Whisper White Ink: Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Raspberry Ripple Accessories: Paper Piercing Template, Modern Label Punch, Pearl Basics, Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon To say that I LOVELOVELOVE this stamp set is an understatement!! AND it has DIECUTS to match!! (They will be available in the new holiday mini!) So I put the image of the jar with a pear inside on a jar with some juicy pear JELLY BELLIES inside!! And, going with my latest trend, had to add a little Crystal Effects to that pear. I could not help myself!! Stamps: Friendship Preserves Paper: Whisper White, Orchard Harvest DSP Ink: Basic Black, Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade Accessories: Cannery Framelets, Banners Framelits, Designer Fabric Essentials, Linen Thread, Crystal Effects, Cannery Jar Now ... on the the lovely creations of Yvette Ashe!!
Today's masculine card was stamped with the Bootiful Occasions Stamp Set. I'm a city girl through and through, so this card is WAY out of my comfort zone! But, a good challenge isn't a bad thing every now and then : ) I stamped the image three times, once onto...
Hi Everyone! In recent days I have had a little more time to myself as the summer is coming to a bitter end for the kiddos as school is starting up again next week. I can hardly contain my excitement while writing that... My insides are giddy and smiling! :) So,... on these days when they are off with their friends, I get to play with my new acquisitions from Stampin' Up! :) When the catalog came out in July, I spied the set Bootiful Occasions. The images in this set are SO CUTE. Try as I might to pass it up, I just could not.. So here is my first card with this Uber cute set - Considering Halloween is coming up, I started with the witches boot first. I paired it with the gorgeous Howlstooth DSP from the holiday mini catalog. I colored my boot with my blender pen and More Mustard ink, and then paper pieced the strap and inside of the boot with the opposite side of the multicolored panel shown. I really think it turned out great. Can't wait to play some more! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Heather :) Stamps - Bootiful Occasions Paper - Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango, Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP Ink - Black Stazon, More Mustard Accessories - Big Shot, Stripe EF, Delicate Doilies Sizzlit, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, Dimensional dots, blender pen

Creative Stampin' Up! ideas, tutorials, cards and more! Papercrafts, greeting cards, party favors, stamping.
I am going to be featuring in the next couple of days cards that I designed for the contest “Artisan Design Team”. Unfortunately I didn’t win. However, I guess SU considered them to be worthy enough to be posted on the boards at convention. Hope you enjoy them. […]
Creating with this stamp set again! I like how this turned out, very masculine. Guys are harder to make cards for, but this one works! The inside says "Kick Up Yer Heels!" which is also included in the stamp set. The card base is Soft Suede with a layer of Not Quite Navy, and topped with the Early Espresso Core'dinations Card Stock embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing folder, both from the Holiday Catalog! I also used Very Vanilla. The boot is stamped on the Natural Composition Specialty designer series paper. It is stamped with Black Stazon, then cut out and...
Challenge 238 calls for Christmas cards made using non tradional Christmas colours. The card I made uses Pool Party and Island Indigo. The picture below looks like I used green rather than Pool Party; however, I did use Pool Party. I don't know why it looks green. The card base is Pool Party, layered with Whisper White and then Winter Frost Specialty designer series paper. Ruffled pool party ribboon is attached to the left side of the card, with a bow adhered side wise at the middle of the ribbon. The image is stamped with Basic Black, and the show coloured using a Pool Party marker. Liquid Applique sprinkled with dazzling diamonds is applied to the fur at the top of the boot and the ends of the laces. The image is backed with a piece of Pool Party Apothecary die cut. Rhinestones are placed at the top and bottom of this die cut. Stamp: Bootiful Occasions Ink: Basic Black, Pool Party marker Paper: Pool Party, Whisper White, Winter Frost Specialty designer paper Accessories: Ruffled Pool Party ribbon, Apothecary framelit, rhinestones, Liquid applique (non SU), dazzling diamonds.
