Welcome to Simple Sunday!! It's always fun playing with new product. Especially at the beginning of a new catalog. Today is no exception! I inked up the Beautiful Thistle stamp set (#160335) for Simple Sunday. This stamp set and coordinating dies will be available when the new catalog goes live this Thursday, January 5, 2023. I thought this month's February SU! Colour Challenge colors showcased the Gingko Stamps and Dies at their best with some Stamping Off and Small Blending Brushes. I started stamping off with the Ginkgo Stamp onto the Shimmery White Card Front which gives a soft sparkle to the whole card. I cut the details die cut in vellum and the Shimmery White. I used the Small Blending Brushes to colour the Shimmery White die cut element and you can see the shimmer through it! I added the sentiment and cut with the matching die. I finished the card with a few Pastel Pearls. Today I am sharing my version of January 2023 Sheetload of Cards from Call Me Crafty Al. This month her template creates 8 mini slimline cards with only 2 - 12x12 sheets of pattern paper. Each month Alicia from Call Me Crafty Al designs a fun template to create multiple handmade cards. Her designs are always fun and easy to use. They include a list of the types of products you need along with measurements to help you cut each piece. See what the Collaboration Team created: YOUTUBE: #SLCTJan2023 INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/slctjan2023/ If YOU CREATE cards using this month’s SheetLoad, PLEASE USE the following hashtags: #SUYSJan2023 #ShowUsYourSheetLoad Get more details on how to “Show Us Your SheetLoad”, here: https://youtu.be/8r6JbbGfWmo Find out how to download the January 2023 SheetLoad of Cards, here: https://youtu.be/WakTKVOzaiQ The paper I chose to use is called Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper and is a 6” x 6” pack of paper with 12 different double sided designs. Because I was using a smaller piece I needed more sheets and so I decided to try different combinations of patterns. Even though her template is for 12” x 12” you can easily make these cards with 6” x 6” paper as well. I love painted texture and beautiful color combinations that is paper gives to my cards. So pretty! The stamp set is a Free product you can get from Stampin’ Up! during sale-a-bration. It is called Beautifully Happy. It is a Two-Step stamp set, I like because I can use the lined image by it’s self and color in the image with other mediums or I can use the stamps to add color and fill in each section as I have done here on my cards. Get all the details on Sale-a-bration! Sale-A-Bration is one of the biggest promotions of the year at Stampin' Up!. It’s filled with fun for everyone! Welcome to the NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting! Today we are showing creations made with Sale-a-bration (SAB) products! If you are new to Stampin' UP! you may not know what Sale-a-bration (SAB) means. Scroll down to the bottom to get ALL the details. If you are a Stampin' UP! fan, you look forward to this time of year where you get FREE exclusive products when ordering $50 or $100 worth of product between January 4th through February 29th. Today I am sharing with you some cute cards made using the Cradled in Love stamp set (FREE with a $50 order in the US). I made these cards as part of a swap with other Stampin' Friends. The challenge was to use something from the Mini Catalog or Sale-a-bration with the Subtles Color Family. First, check out all the images and greetings for this stamp set! The cradle is the largest image and you can build around it with the rug and mobile or have the cradle stand alone. There are great sayings that go along with this set, from "Welcome, little one," to "Bundle of Joy." You can even customize it with "baby girl" or "baby boy". It is easy to make a card more gender specific but keep the same layout. I used the Bubble Bath for the girl and Balmy Blue for the boy card. I used my Stampin' Blends to color in the cradle and just LOVE the result! If you don't know the gender of the baby you could always use a gender neutral color like Soft Sea Foam (light green) or Lemon Lolly (card below). This is such a simple layout with embossed layers and die cut shapes, but I think it paired nicely with the Cradle in Love Sale-a-bration stamp set to make a sweet card for any new baby. Want to see more Sale-a-bration creations??? Don't stop here! Keep on hopping through the other talented stampers blogs from around the world! I hope you feel inspired and are grateful we shared so you can create too! Blog Hop Index I am happy to answer any questions about the techniques shown here! Who doesn't love free stuff! And there are so many pretties to choose from! Click here to start shopping! It's a great time to join my team-the Southern Accents Stampin' Squad, SASS for short. Click "Join the Fun" at the top for more information! Hey Y'all! Welcome to 2023! How's it going so far? My life? Still chaotic, but I don't think I would have it any other way! That means I have family and friends to love and do life with! I am starting a blog series-Saleabration Saturday-every Saturday in January and February. This first one I am featuring the Favored Flowers DSP. If you like easy card making, one way is letting gorgeous DSP do the heavy lifting-and this paper is a heavy weight champion! I've tried to showcase it's beauty in these projects... ...and here is the first one. This is called a SIP card-stamps, ink, and paper only. It is somewhat of a Fancy Fold, and it's so neat because it shows off both sides of the paper. To create this card, you need a Petal Pink cardbase 8-1/2 x 6-1/2, scored at 5-1/2. This leaves a 1" flap for the front of the card. Adhere a 4 x 5-1/4 panel of DSP to the inside of the flap, then a 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip to the outside of the flap. Add a Basic White panel measuring 3-3/4 x 5 to the inside, and adhere a 3/4 x 3-3/4 strip of DSP to the bottom. My sentiment came from the Lovely & Lasting stamp set, I stamped the "hello" sentiment onto a strip of Basic White and angled each end, then popped it up with dimensionals. One of the main rules in card making is NO NAKED ENVELOPES! One of my favorite ways to jazz up and envelope is add DSP to the flap. Just adhere a 2-1/4 x 6 piece to the flap, then trim around the edges. Product List Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes [107300] $7.50 Basic White Medium Envelopes [159236] $7.50 Add All to Cart This next card is stepped up a little with some ribbon, a punch, and the beautiful new Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins. (By the way, be sure to scroll down and check out my paper, ribbon, and embellishment shares to get samples of all the new pretties in the new January-April Mini Catalog.) I started with a 4 x 5-1/2 piece of DSP, and tore it in 1/2 about 1/3 of the way down. I wrapped some Pale Papaya Open Weave ribbon around the largest panel and tied a bow, then adhered both pieces to a Mossy Meadow cardbase (8-1/2 x 5-12, scored at 4-1/4.) I punched aVery Vanilla label with the Label Me Lovely punch, stamped my sentiment from the Color and Contour stamp set, then added the flourish embellishment from the Decorative Border stamp, another new set in the new Mini. Add 3 gold sequins, and the front of your card is done! To decorate the inside, I added the corner border stamp onto a 4 x 5-1/4 panel of Very Vanilla. TIP: Use cardstock and ink colors found in your DSP-here I've used Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow. One of the awesome things about Stampin' Up! is the color coordination of ink, paper and ribbon. And every pack of DSP is labeled with what colors are used in it. For my last project, I wanted to show off those beautiful flowers, so I "fussy cut" some and used them for my focal image. I also cropped a rectangle of the DSP from the Scalloped Contours dies. The cardbase is Fresh Freesia, then a Basic White panel embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. I stamped my sentiment in Gorgeous Grape onto a label cropped with the Lasting Label punch, then added some Fresh Freesia ribbon behind it and popped it up with dimensionals, along with one of the fussy cut flower. Do you see so much you like but are saying "I can't afford all that!" Did you know that during Saleabration you can get $175 in product PLUS a Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss for only $129, with free shipping to boot! Just a fun way to say hello this Valentine's Day! When I was young our telephone was similar to this one - big, clunky and black. It sat on a lace doily on its own little table. Those were the days when we read Dick Tracy every Sunday in the comic section of the newspaper. He kept in touch with the other "good guys" by talking into his wristwatch......and we laughed at such craziness.....little did we know...... I definitely drew inspiration from our living room from so long ago....the clunky phone, stenciled hearts like patterned wallpaper, a touch of lace and a retro look designer paper. It's my turn to host at Freshly Made Sketches this week. The sketch is wide open - use whatever works for you in the oval area! Hope you join us - especially because it is cold this week in the Northeast so I'd love to sip some tea and visit your galleries!
