I used the Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Flowers stamp set bundle to create a hello card to share with you today. I also did a video tutorial for this card and you can see it on YouTube here.
SU!P FRIENDS! I have to admit when I saw the Favored Flowers DSP in the Sale-A-Bration brochure, I thought it wasn't something that I thought I needed--it was so black and just didn't appeal to me. But I was needing some more freebies so I ordered it thinking I would give it away as a prize. But I've invited a couple friends over to make cards and wanted to have a good variety for them to pick from, so I used this paper which coordinates with the Fragrant Flowers Bundle, and wow---I'm so glad I gave it a try! This rich and beautiful paper is only available until the end of February, or as supplies last! You can pick it for a FREE gift with a $50 order! Hello, and happy Saturday! Today, I have a crafty creation to share using the Fragrant Flowers Bundle (160460) with the coordinating Favored Flowers 12" x 12" DSP which is a FREE Sale-a-bration item. Have I mentioned how much I love the color Fresh Freesia?! Fresh Freesia is one of the main colors in the pack of Favored Flowers DSP and is the perfect color for a fresh spring looking card. The flowers were colored with Fresh Freesia, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends. The Favored Flowers DSP layer was die cut with the Split Card Textures Dies and then layered onto a Basic White cardstock layer. I then destressed these layers with my fingers for added depth and dimension. I didn't add anymore flowers and/or die cuts as I wanted the Split Card Textures die cut DSP do all the talking. Lastly, I added some Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon and Opaque Adhesive Backed Gems to finish it off. This card just makes me happy (insert smile here). Today's card is the last of the set of Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper cards I made. This one is another CASE from the 2023 Sale-A-bration brochure.
I created this set of accordion fun fold cards with the new Stampin' Up! Fragrant Flowers Bundle and coordinating Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper. I love this fold with pretty papers like the Favored Flowers because it solves the dilemma of which side of the paper to use, use them both! The Fragrant Flowers stamps and dies are featuring in the 2023 Jan-April Mini Catalog. The Favored Flowers paper coordinates with the stamp set and is part of the 2023 Sale-a-bration. Click "Join the Fun" at the top for more information! Hey Y'all! Welcome to 2023! How's it going so far? My life? Still chaotic, but I don't think I would have it any other way! That means I have family and friends to love and do life with! I am starting a blog series-Saleabration Saturday-every Saturday in January and February. This first one I am featuring the Favored Flowers DSP. If you like easy card making, one way is letting gorgeous DSP do the heavy lifting-and this paper is a heavy weight champion! I've tried to showcase it's beauty in these projects... ...and here is the first one. This is called a SIP card-stamps, ink, and paper only. It is somewhat of a Fancy Fold, and it's so neat because it shows off both sides of the paper. To create this card, you need a Petal Pink cardbase 8-1/2 x 6-1/2, scored at 5-1/2. This leaves a 1" flap for the front of the card. Adhere a 4 x 5-1/4 panel of DSP to the inside of the flap, then a 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip to the outside of the flap. Add a Basic White panel measuring 3-3/4 x 5 to the inside, and adhere a 3/4 x 3-3/4 strip of DSP to the bottom. My sentiment came from the Lovely & Lasting stamp set, I stamped the "hello" sentiment onto a strip of Basic White and angled each end, then popped it up with dimensionals. One of the main rules in card making is NO NAKED ENVELOPES! One of my favorite ways to jazz up and envelope is add DSP to the flap. Just adhere a 2-1/4 x 6 piece to the flap, then trim around the edges. Product List Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes [107300] $7.50 Basic White Medium Envelopes [159236] $7.50 Add All to Cart This next card is stepped up a little with some ribbon, a punch, and the beautiful new Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins. (By the way, be sure to scroll down and check out my paper, ribbon, and embellishment shares to get samples of all the new pretties in the new January-April Mini Catalog.) I started with a 4 x 5-1/2 piece of DSP, and tore it in 1/2 about 1/3 of the way down. I wrapped some Pale Papaya Open Weave ribbon around the largest panel and tied a bow, then adhered both pieces to a Mossy Meadow cardbase (8-1/2 x 5-12, scored at 4-1/4.) I punched aVery Vanilla label with the Label Me Lovely punch, stamped my sentiment from the Color and Contour stamp set, then added the flourish embellishment from the Decorative Border stamp, another new set in the new Mini. Add 3 gold sequins, and the front of your card is done! To decorate the inside, I added the corner border stamp onto a 4 x 5-1/4 panel of Very Vanilla. TIP: Use cardstock and ink colors found in your DSP-here I've used Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow. One of the awesome things about Stampin' Up! is the color coordination of ink, paper and ribbon. And every pack of DSP is labeled with what colors are used in it. For my last project, I wanted to show off those beautiful flowers, so I "fussy cut" some and used them for my focal image. I also cropped a rectangle of the DSP from the Scalloped Contours dies. The cardbase is Fresh Freesia, then a Basic White panel embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. I stamped my sentiment in Gorgeous Grape onto a label cropped with the Lasting Label punch, then added some Fresh Freesia ribbon behind it and popped it up with dimensionals, along with one of the fussy cut flower. Do you see so much you like but are saying "I can't afford all that!" Did you know that during Saleabration you can get $175 in product PLUS a Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss for only $129, with free shipping to boot! Today's card is a very easy fun fold using Stampin' Up Fragrant Flowers Bundle and Stampin' Up Like An Animal Specialty DSP. This is a faux side step card. I started with a piece of Poppy Parade measuring 5 1/4" x 8" scored on the long side at 1", 2" and 5". I folded in accordion fashion creating 2 mountains and one valley. See above picture. I cut a piece of Evening Evergreen card stock 3" x 6" and scored at 4 1/4". I adhered Stampin' Up Perfectly Penciled DSP to the Poppy Parade card base with Stampin' Seal. I cut a piece of Stampin' Up Like An Animal Specialty DSP that fits on the Evening Evergreen card stock. I blended Petal Pink ink onto the DSP using a Stampin' Up Blending Brush. I cleaned my brush off and then blended Poppy Parade ink around the edges of the same piece. I adhered the DSP panel to the Evening Evergreen piece before adding it to the Poppy Parade card base. I adhered the Evening Evergreen to the bottom of the card base with Stampin' Seal. I the add a little bit of adhesive to the flap on the Evening Evergreen and adhered it to the back side of the Poppy Parade. I stamped 3 flowers from Stampin' Up Fragrant Flowers Stamp Set using Mementos Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I colored each image with Stampin' Blends: Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Poppy Parade and Petal Pink. I die cut each image with the coordinating dies. I adhered the flowers on the DSP with liquid adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the bold sentiment with Versamark Ink on a piece of Basic Black and heat embossed it with White embossing powder. I stamped the smaller sentiment on Basic White with Mementos Tuxedo Black Ink. I die cut each sentiment with the coordinating dies. I adhered the die cuts to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. The inside is a piece of Basic White card stock with a strip of DSP to the bottom. Only two weeks to go, place your orders by the end of Feb to receive your freebies! I have some card to share with you that I made from the Favored Flowers DSP. These stunning papers feature Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Fresh Freesia, Petal Pink and Basic Black. For the first two cards I cut a piece of DSP just slightly smaller than the card front and used either two Stitched Rectangular Dies inside each other or a Scalloped Contour Die. The center piece of the card is the reverse side of the paper. For the second card I fussy cut some of the images from the DSP and mounted them on one of the other sheets. All of the greetings on these cards are from the Go To Greetings stamp set. Thanks for visiting and remember I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about these cards or anything Stampin' Up!
