The Avant Garden stamp set is yours FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration 2017. You can create this stunning card with it when you add 2 ink pads and 3 colors of cardstock.
After today's card I think I am all caught up with sharing class projects. Even though you can no longer get Avant Garden through Stampin' Up! if you've missed out on this great Sale-a-Bration set you can probably find it somewhere. But this technique would work well with other solid image flower stamps. We stamped the flower panel with Island Indigo and alternated around the side with full strength ink and stamped off ink (just ink up your stamp, then stamp it onto scrap paper before stamping on your cardstock) to give a nice little layered look with some depth. When I was explaining this project to my stampers I told them that this is a technique that has been around forever but we might forget about it because there are so many new tools and fancy dies that are available these days. Stamping off is also a great way for new stampers to make their inks work a bit more because you can get a light and a dark version of the same color...you don't always have to have every single color right away. After stamping the flowers the leaves are stamped in Mint Macaron (retiring In Color) and repeated the stamping off. Next the centers of the flowers are stamped in Smoky Slate. The sentiment is also stamped in Smoky Slate and a sprinkling of adhesive rhinestones brings attention to that corner. Some Vanilla and silver ribbon was wrapped around the flower panel. The other items that is a subtle details but brings a lot to the card is the embossing with the Elegant Dots embossing folder (retiring). Several of my stampers fell in love with this one and had to order it. And I'm so glad they did as it's now on the retiring list. I just checked and it seems that it's still available so if you have this on your wish list don't wait! Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Avant Garden Ink: Island Indigo, Mint Macaron (retiring), Smoky Slate Paper: Very Vanilla, Island Indigo Accessories: Elegant Dots e.f. (retiring), rhinestones, Vanilla silver stripped ribbon, dimensionals

These beautiful flowers are part of a gorgeous stamp set called Avant Garden. What does that mean anyway...'avant' garden? Well, I looked it up and 'avant' is French for 'original and innovative,' 'culturally or stylistically advanced.' This is a pretty innovative and stylistically advanced set of flower stamps, don't you think? The color palate for our 'advanced' garden is bright and bold: Melon Mambo, Emerald Envy and Black. These are winter colors, just what we need in cold weather :-) And the best thing about this great stamp set is that it's FREE! Yes, FREE! During Sale-a-Bration, for every $50
As you will all know by now, my favourite stamp set from those available free with Sale-a-bration is the Avant Garden stamp set. I've had such fun creating some really beautiful cards with this set and today's card is another example. This is so easy to make with very few products - have a look at this tutorial I've made: The sizes of the card stock needed are as follows: Coloured card base: 21cm x 15cm, scored on the long side at 10.5cm (8.25 ins x 5.75ins scored on the long side at 4.125 ins) Whisper white panel: 9.7 cm x 14.3 cm (3.75 ins x 5.5 ins) If you would like to get the Avant Garden stamp set for yourself, you will need to be quick. Just place an order of £45 for anything from the Annual or the Spring/Summer catalogues and you can choose this stamp set as your free item. Just get in touch if you'd like more details or just click here HERE to read all about it (scroll to the bottom of the post). Don't forget to use my March shopping code too! When I woke up this morning, I realized it was the first day of Spring! I whipped up a few cards to celebrate! I am not sure which color combination is my favorite, it's definitely between the Crushed Curry and the Blushing Bride. Although I like the Marina Mist combination, I am leaning with the other two! My upcoming Happy Birthday Card Club Members will be making this card! I hope they will love it as much as me! I am so ready for warmer weather, flowers to bloom and to watch my boys on the baseball field! Yes, I am

I used the Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration exclusive Avant Garden stamp set to create my card for the Sunday Stamps color challenge this week.
Hello, my stamping friend. I will be starting new series called CASE Monday. We all love to check Pinterest or our favorite stamping sites for ideas before creating. Or sometime you come across the idea and would like to stop everything and go make that card. This series will be just that - my favorite ideas from other crafters with some twist. Colorful Avant Garden idea came after watching Tami White's video. Tami is my upline and I love to follow her creations. After watching that video - I immediately dropped everything to try recreate cards in different colors. Here is my take on it: I just changed greeting stamp as I needed some Thank You cards and tried another color combos. This is original card using Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral: This one is Soft Sky and Marina Mist, I also used Pear Pizazz instead of Mint Macaroon for the leafs Crushed Curry and So Saffron: Sweet Sugarplum and Pretty in Pink: How Tos: Card front is 8.5 x 5.5 piece of cardstock scorred at 4 1/4 Whisper white - 4 x 5 1/4. Take a framelit that you will use for sentiment and lightly trace inside of it on the whisper white piece. This will give you idea where to stamp flowers and leaves Stamp flowers and leaves as desired. Adhere to cardfront Cut 2 leaves from copper foil with Botanical framlit. Adhere to the whisper white stamped piece. Stamp sentiment on a scrap of whisper white, cut with the ftamelit Add greeting with dimenstionals This is it! I suggest to do 2 cards each of the same color. You also have an option to use Mint Macaroon as a card front. What Color is your favorite? What other combinations you can think of? Leave me a comment and I will send you one of this cards. I needed an encouraging card to mail out, so I thought the Avant Garden Sale-A-Bration set was a perfect match! I was inspired by my daffodils that are already blooming here in the midwest super earlier than normal. These are a few in our front yard. For the card the card base is thick Whisper White cardstock, a layer of Daffodil Delight ( 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"), and a later of Whisper White (4" x 5 1/4"). The flowers are stamped in Daffodil Delight, the middle accent in Crushed Curry, and the leaves & stems are Pear Pizzaz. For one flower I stamped it on scrap paper and then cut it out and popped with Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Window Shopping stamp set inked in Pear Pizzaz on Whisper White cardstock. It is cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits (2nd largest oval) and popped with Stampin' Dimensionals. The accent cardstock layers are Pear Pizzaz (1" x 4") and Daffodil Delight (3/4" x 4"). I hope you enjoyed my spring inspired card using the Avant Garden Sale-A-Bration set. The next stop in our blog hop is Deb! Card Supply List from Stampin' Up!: Stamps: Avant Garden, Window Shopping Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzaz Inks: Pear Pizzaz, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry Embellishments: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Big Shot, Cutting Pads, and Magnetic Platform Adhesives: Snail, Stampin' Dimensionals
I think these colors mingle so well together. I used the Avant Garden Photopolymer stamp set that you can get for FREE during Sale-A-Bration. The greeting is from the new stamp set All Things Thanks from the Occasions Catalog. I used Pear Pizzazz, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black inks to create this beautiful garden of flowers.
