These beautiful flowers are part of a gorgeous stamp set called Avant Garden. What does that mean anyway…”avant” garden? Well, I looked it up and “avant” is French for “original and innovative,” “culturally or stylistically advanced.” This is a pretty innovative and stylistically advanced set of flower stamps, don’t you think? The color palate for […]

Use the watercolour part of the Avant Garden Stamp set and post it notes to create a mask. The masking technique makes the flowers look like they are in front of the stems.

I am in love with the Avant Garden Sale-a-Bration stamp set. It looks so pretty in the blues... I used Bermuda bay, Tempting Turquoise and Pool Party for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves. For a softer look, I used Basic Gray for the greeting. Layered this one with Bermuda Bay card stock.

Cleaning up after Christmas……ugh…….Ahhhhhh, but, now taking a break to play with some new craft stuff and some challenges!! Wahoo!! I haven’t played with other challenges in quite a while.... [Read More]
I needed some cheerful Get Well cards.... so when I saw Chris Slogar's cards on Pinterest, I just knew I could create something similar with it. Thanks so much Chris for giving me the inspiration to sponge daub a darker color on the flowers to get a two-tone effect. Thanks for your inspiration too! Now, with each flower, I inked the stamp in the lighter color. ie: Peekaboo Peach, Powder Pink, Daffodil Delight and Perfect Plum. I then took a sponge dauber (used a separate dauber for each color), and inked them in Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo, Crushed Curry and Fresh Fig... then sponged it in the center of the flowers before stamping the image on the paper. I added the stamens in Basic Black and the stems and leaves in Pear Pizzazz. Each has coordinating DSP and ribbons to make each stand out and be a bit different from the others. Thanks for stopping by. Supplies Used: Stamp Sets - Avant Garden, Flourishing Phrases Ink - Peekaboo Peach, Powder Pink, Daffodil Delight, Perfect Plum,Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo, Crushed Curry, Fresh Fig, Pear Pizzazz, Memento Paper - Fresh Fig, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight DSP, Peekaboo Peach DSP, Perfect Plum DSP, Flirty Flamingo DSP Accessories - Dimensionals, Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon, Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon, Daffodil Delight Stitched Ribbon, Fresh Fig Finely Woven Ribbon

These products are only available as gifts and only till 3/31 so don't delay order TODAY! Enjoy the hop and feel free to leave us some love in the form of a comment, we love hearing from you! I needed an encouraging card to mail out, so I thought the Avant Garden Sale-A-Bration set was a perfect match! I was inspired by my daffodils that are already blooming here in the midwest super earlier than normal. These are a few in our front yard. For the card the card base is thick Whisper White cardstock, a layer of Daffodil Delight ( 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"), and a later of Whisper White (4" x 5 1/4"). The flowers are stamped in Daffodil Delight, the middle accent in Crushed Curry, and the leaves & stems are Pear Pizzaz. For one flower I stamped it on scrap paper and then cut it out and popped with Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Window Shopping stamp set inked in Pear Pizzaz on Whisper White cardstock. It is cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits (2nd largest oval) and popped with Stampin' Dimensionals. The accent cardstock layers are Pear Pizzaz (1" x 4") and Daffodil Delight (3/4" x 4"). I hope you enjoyed my spring inspired card using the Avant Garden Sale-A-Bration set. The next stop in our blog hop is Deb! Card Supply List from Stampin' Up!: Stamps: Avant Garden, Window Shopping Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzaz Inks: Pear Pizzaz, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry Embellishments: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Big Shot, Cutting Pads, and Magnetic Platform Adhesives: Snail, Stampin' Dimensionals

When I woke up this morning, I realized it was the first day of Spring! I whipped up a few cards to celebrate! I am not sure which color combination is my favorite, it's definitely between the Crushed Curry and the Blushing Bride. Although I like the Marina Mist combination, I am leaning with the other two! My upcoming Happy Birthday Card Club Members will be making this card! I hope they will love it as much as me! I love flower gardens, I just don't like to garden. So I am really enjoying Grace's Garden! I cased this card from the January - June Mini catalog. I will confess that this is a fussy card that takes some time to make. There are a lot of pieces to stamp, color and die cut. But oh what fun to put together! There are lots of layers of cardstock as well. Not every card you make with this bundle has to be fussy. There are some really cute cards you can make that aren't as fussy as this one. Just have fun and let your creative juices flow! You may also like: Stampin' Up! Planting: Make sure the seeds are evenly distributed and buried about an inch deep in rich, well-draining soil. Watering: Give the seeds a regular irrigation to keep the soil damp but not soggy. Sufficient hydration is essential for normal growth. Full sun exposure is essential for optimal growth and fruit yield. Mango trees from Miyazaki grow well in warm, sunny climates. Temperature: To replicate their natural tropical surroundings, keep the temperature warm, preferably between 75 and 85°F (24 and 29°C).
