My latest Stampin' Up! box contained the Abigail Rose suite of products. I'd resisted it for so long, even though it had called to me from the pages of the 2022-23 Annual Catalogue, and now I wonder why I did! It is just so beautiful! I turned to the latest sketch at Freshly Made Sketches to get me going: it's always a great place for inspiration. The Abigail Rose DSP is wonderful and I can't wait to use it for some scrapbooking. It was with regret that I cut into the Ledger Page pattern as I so want to use it as a layout base but I like the result so much, I'll live with it. 😀 I stamped onto the Sahara Sand card front using Crumb Cake ink to get the background floral. Before adding the ledger page DSP, I used the edging die from the Blossoming Happiness set to get the spiral bound detailing, I stamped and coloured the large floral image in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla then coloured it with Stampin' Blends. I fussy cut out a second rose to give the bouquet some lift before adding in some of the extra die cut bits of foliage to fill it out. I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla and cut it using one of the dies from Labels Aglow dies. Because the die is quite long, I had to trim it down to better fit the sentiment. A trio of Champagne rhinestones finishes it off. Update: Delighted to be chosen as a Perfect Princess at Freshly Made Sketches. Hello and welcome to my blog! This week's Global Design Project challenge is a Case the Designer Challenge and this week we are caseing one of Stesha Bloodhart's gorgeous cards. I love Stesha's layout and used that for the inspiration in creating my card. The Cottage Rose Stamp Set is a beautiful stamp set and I love colouring in the flowers! For this flower I've used the Stampin' Blends, they are easy to use and you can create a variety of different looks depending on how you colour with them. I chose to follow the shading lines on the image, so quick and simple! For my bow I combined Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, that I had coloured with the Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends and a piece of Very Vanilla Twine - it just adds another little detail! For a step by step tutorial on how I created my card please click on the Tutorial button. All products are listed in the tutorial and below. I've also created a video tutorial, click on the link below to watch! Please remember to head on over to the Global Design Project blog and check out all the fabulous creations made by my fellow team members and we would love to see your creations using this week's sketch. I used the Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set bundle to create a quick birthday card to share with you today.
Today's card features Stampin' Up Cottage Rose and Stampin' Up Sending Smiles Stamp Set. The card front is a panel of Basic White that I dry embossed using Stampin' Up Cane Weave Embossing Folder. I adhered a panel of Basic White to a piece of Stampin' Up Tea Boutique DSP with liquid adhesive. I then adhered the layers to the embossed card front with Stampin' Seal. I stamped the flower from Stampin' Up Cottage Rose Stamp Set using Mementos Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Basic White twice. I colored each image with Stampin' Blends: Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green. I die cut each image with Stampin' Up Cottage Flower Dies. I adhered each flower die cut to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and liquid adhesive. I stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up Sending Smiles Stamp Set using Granny Apple Green ink. I die cut the sentiment with Stampin' Up Sending Dies. I adhered the sentiment die to the card front with liquid adhesive. I finished the front off with Stampin' Up Pastel Pearls. The inside is a piece of Basic White adhered to a piece of Stampin' Up Tea Boutique DSP. The sentiment is from Cottage Rose and is stamped with Granny Apple Green ink. Host code: ZVHZQEA4. I haven’t really paid much attention to the kits Stampin’ Up! offer but this one caught my eye. If you are new to card making or like to have a little more of the preparation done for you then a kit is a great idea. The kit contains everything you need to make 9 small cards and a decorated clear box to put them in. When I say everything, I do mean everything, you get a stampin’ spot in Gray Granite, adhesive, an acrylic block and a stamp set as well as cards, envelopes, toppers and embellishment
Welcome to Makeover Monday!! I am thrilled to share with you my Makeover Monday project. I used the Cottage Rose stamp set and stepped up yesterday's, Simple Sunday's card. To appeal to the avid stamper, I made several changes to my Simple Sunday card. First, I colored the Designer Series Paper with Pool Party and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Markers. Next, I changed the color of the tag to Pear Pizzazz, wrapped the ribbon around the entire panel and added some embellishments. The inside is stepped up as well. Which card
