I love this Gingko leaf image from the Beautifully Braided stamp set. It's just a joy to colour. Here I stamped it multiple times in Grey Granite ink and coloured it with my Seaside Spray Blends. I didn't want to add too much other 'stuff' to this card, so I just used the co-ordinating punch to make a tone-on-tone border, embellished with some twine, and popped on a small sentiment. I love the lifework in the the design. Do you want to see the full stamp set a little closer? The line work, the sentiments, the font, the patterns - I LOVE THEM!!! And, I know you will love them too!!! I stamped this onto a piece of whisper white using Gorgeous Grape ink. Did you notice the die that used to cut out the stamped piece? Its taken from the Natures Thoughts die collection. I love it! One of the things I love THE MOST about it is that it is sized to suit a piece of A4 card stock! I then took a piece of Gorgeous Grape and used the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder - this folder is an absolute classic! I mounted this onto a piece of Whisper White and then onto a Gorgeous Grape card base! And, thats IT! Thank you so much for checking out our hop today! Continuing on with my Garden Lane Designer Series Paper series, this morning I have for you a card in soft greens. I adhered four rectangular pieces of different papers from the pack, to a panel of Soft Sea Foam card. I then embossed that panel with the Subtle 3D embossing folder (a great go-to folder to add a bit of texture). The stamped ginkgo image, from the Beautifully Braided stamp set, has been white-embossed on Whisper White card, then coloured using Stampin' Blends. I matted that onto a stitched scalloped rectangle, that has also been embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. The Soft Sea Foam cardstock throws a bit of yellow in my photo, but in real life it's a beautiful soft light green. It complements Mint Macaron beautifully. I've listed below all the Stampin' Up! products used to make this card. So glad you popped in to take at look at my designs! I recently did a couple of cards using the same design to create 2 cards with different looks! I had so much fun with the last cards that I wanted to repeat my process of using the same design and making 2 cards by changing up the products that are used! These two came out very similar but I still liked the overall outcome! I'm including the instructions for the first card. To make the second card you will follow the same instructions but just change up the Stamp set used. I will enclose a list of products used needed to make both cards below! Note: On the Ornate Garden card I did use Stampin Blends to color in the flowers. The So Saffron Combo and Old Olive Combo. Project Recipe: Card base and cuts for card: Card Base: Thick Whisper White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. Layer 1: Regals Designer Series Paper 4 x 5 1/4 Layer 2: Whisper White 1 5/8 x 4 7/8 Layer 3: Crushed Curry 1 1/2 x 4 3/4 Layer 4: Whisper White 1 x 4 Layer 5: Whisper White (circles) 2 x 4 Layer 6: Crushed Curry 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 Layer 7: Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4 Layer 1: Adhere to the Card Front Layer 3: Adhere to Layer 2 Layer 2 - Adhere both to card front about 3/8" from the right edge of the DSP (Designer Series Paper) Layer 4: Stamp sentiment "kindness comes in many ways but always from the heart" in Black Memento ink. Then adhere to the card front across the bottom about 1/2" from the bottom edge of DSP. Layer 5: Stamp several flowers onto the sheet then using the layering circle dies cut out three circles. Pick which images you like the best to cut out! Adhere the circles onto the card front layering 2 of them onto Layer's 2 & 3 above the sentiment strip, you will need to overlap them just a bit to fit properly. Then with the last circle using Stampin Dimensionals adhere to the card front just overlapping the other two circles but more towards the left of the card. Layer 6: Adhere to the inside of the card. Layer 7: Stamp sentiment "thank you" in the center using Black memento ink. Then stamp flourish border along the bottom with Crushed Curry ink. Add 3 Rhinestones jewels to the sentiment strip on the card front. I hope you will try out these cards and if you do don't forget to comment below on how they turned out! It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with: I think I have coloured these gingko leaves from the Beautifully Braided stamp set in just about every possible colour...and I haven't found one that I dislike yet! Today I have Petal Pink and Calypso Coral. What do you think? Happy Sunday and Happy Easter to those who are celebrating today! Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players. This week, Jaydee is hosting our monthly Color Challenge. Check it out and play along with us! So, funny story…I had it on my head that it was also Clean and Simple Week and I have no idea why. So, my goal was to feature these colors without too many added layers. If you have visited me before, you know that CAS cards are always a challenge for me but I actually really like how this came out and I hope you do too. I used the Beautifully Braided Stamp Set because I just love that gorgeous floral image, I thought the colors would really pop using the Emboss Resist Technique for the background. I heat embossed the image and then used Sponge Daubers to add ink to the cardstock. The image pops through and it gives a beautifully colored background. I added a little border to one side of the image using the Braided Border Punch. I also heat embossed the border for some added shine. It’s a little tough to see in the photo but it looks really pretty in person. I’ve listed all of the measurements and details below and there is also a full supply list at the end of this post. Card Measurements and Details: Gray Granite Card Base - 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” Whisper White Cardstock - 4” x 5-1/4”, embossed with Subtle 3D Embossing Folder Whisper White Cardstock - 1-1/2” x 5-1/4”, punch using Braided Border Punch, then press Versamark Ink over punched image, cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat emboss using the Heat Tool Whisper White Cardstock - 2-7/8” x 5-1/4”, rub Embossing Buddy all over the cardstock, stamp image in Versamark Ink, cover with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, tap-off excess and heat emboss using the Heat Tool Using Sponge Daubers, rub So Saffron, Seaside Spray and Gray Granite ink over the Whisper White Cardstock with the embossed image to add color using the Emboss Resist technique Scrap of Whisper White Cardstock - stamp sentiment in Gray Granite Ink and then die cut using the 2-1/4” oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies Tie Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around the Whisper White Layer Add three frosted accents from the Frosted and Clear Epoxy Dots I decided to leave the inside of the card blank with a simple stamped image so that there was room to write a handwritten note.
