Deze snijmalletjes heb ik al een tijdje liggen. Lang getwijfeld om ze te kopen, dan toch gedaan en nu eindelijk het kaartje. Voor de inspiratie ben ik weer bij Elke in de winkel gaan kijken. In werkelijkheid is de groene kleur die ik gebruikte (panpastels) iets feller zodat het niet zo somber is als je nu zou denken (slechte fotograaf!). De gouden cirkels (een stencil van memory box) heb ik met perfect pearls gedaan, ook de gingko blaadjes heb ik daar nog even mee bewerkt. De basiskaart is donkerbruin cardstock.

I'm playing in Curtain Call's latest inspiration challenge, Lovely Leaves. Here's the inspiration photo. And here's my card. Okay, so I have seen gingko leaves on trips to Japan and I know they don't turn orange, pink, or red. But wouldn't it be lovely if they did? During the summer (also known as the Wedding Season) this blog averaged one post a month. Now that there's finally time to breathe, I can barely hold myself back from posting multiple times a week! I went through my photos folder and found all the ketubot I'd been commissioned to make, and I mean to share them all with you here, one by one. I feel bad it has taken me this long! I'm sure I'll forget a few, but I'll do my best to include all (the ones I photographed, at least). So let's start with this ketubah, aptly named GINKGO & ORCHIDS. Sure there's a hydrangea in there as well, but what this ketubah is all about is the ginkgo leaves and the orchid flowers. I love these leaves so much, they're bursting out of the frame! This ketubah was a custom order commissioned in May by Allison & William for their 5th wedding anniversary which took place in August. Being an anniversary present this was not a usual request for me, and I was thrilled to be asked to bring the idea to life! 13X19 inches big, their one directive was to make the gingko leaves eye catching. This is a handmade refillable slim pocket notebook cover, for the Moleskine Cahier Pocket Notebook. It measures 15cm. x 10.cm. x 1.00cm. and is the perfect size for carrying in pockets and handbags. The cover has been made from a beautiful Liberty of London ‘ Dahlia’ fabric, from the Arthur’s Garden range, in 100% cotton. The inside covers have been made from Gingko Spot and lightly stiffened and the cover closes with a coordinating elastic. The inside covers are ideal for use as pockets for holding small items such as notes, and cards. The elastic closure keeps items secure. The cover design may vary slightly according to where the fabric has been cut. The pen is shown for size ideas, and is not included. Included inside is a Moleskine Cahier Pocket Notebook, measuring 9 cm. x 14 cm. x 1.5cm. with 64 pages of 70gsm. paper. It has sewn pages, with visible stitching on the spine, and the last 17 pages are perforated and detachable. This can be replaced when full with the same or similarly sized notebook.
