I'm thrilled to be part of the Spellbinders February 2021 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop! You should've arrived from Virginia Lu's blog and I have the full list of participants below. There are also details on the generous giveaway so be sure to read 'til the end. For this hop, I combined the Small Die of the Month - Trefoil Tile & Panel Card Creator with the Clear Stamp of the Month - Trefoil Florals & Sentiments in a super clean and simple design. Even though this card looks super simple, it was quite complicated to design. I had a vision in my head but had some difficulty getting started. It wasn't until I picked cardstock colours for the retro rainbow that things started falling into place. I started by die cutting the intricate pieces on an angle and I used a ruler to draw a pencil line for the bottom row. That helped me line up those three mosaics which include the die cut 'Hello'. I love the lacey look of these mosaic cut from white linencardstock! I randomly trimmed different widths from five colours and attached them together with strong double-sided adhesive. I used the angle of the top panel to adhere the stripes to the card base and carefully trimmed off the excess. Then I stamped a second sentiment on the die cut panel before popping it up with foam tape. When the card was done, I must've tried out 20 different types of embellishments but none seemed to look quite right so I left the card as is and I'm glad I did. I really love this card and need to figure out an easy way to replicate it! If you missed any of my posts for the February Club Kits, I've included them at the end of the supply links below. Happy February! I’m delighted to share two projects created with the Spellbinders February 2021 Large Die of the Month – “Birthday Wishes for Everyone.” With the 14-piece set, you can create cards for a variety of number/date-based occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. I created birthday cards for children with the set. On the first
I was blown away with last month's Large Die of the Month so I was absolutely thrilled to see this month's set top that one! If you know me, you know I love alphabet and numbers dies and these ones are big and so perfect, especially for clean and simple cards. I knew I wanted to use gold foil cardstock for my die cuts so I dug out my Gansai watercolours and after I painted my background, I thought to myself, 'Why have I not used these more often?!' The colours are so incredibly solid and vibrant. They're also sold individually, if you prefer a smaller investment. From the top, I used Carmine Red (35), Dark Pink (34), Scarlet Red (31) and Orange (33). I dried each colour with my heat tool before adding the next with a wide brush. Then I used Menthol Violet (66), Gold (90) and White (10) to create splatter on the background. When the panel was completely dry, I trimmed it down to 4" x 5" so I could added a strip of washi tape at the top of the card for contrast. All of the 'Happy' letters, except the 'a' were popped up with foam tape. I did this for visual interest and so it would match the 'th', which I adhered flat with liquid glue. I cut out the '12' four times, once in gold foil and again in white, grey and black cardstock. I offset the white and black layers to create light and dark shadows. Hi all! Today I’m so excited to be participating in a blog hop celebrating the gorgeous February 2021 Club Kits from Spellbinders. If you’re a new visitor to my blog, I’m Annie and I love all things paper – handmade cards, gifts, and home décor. You should have arrived here from Sheri’s blog, but if this is your first stop, you can click here to start back at the beginning. Don’t forget to leave a comment on the blog for a chance to win a $50 store credit for Spellbinders products! My first card features the February 2021 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month, Scalloped Rectangle Glimmer Essentials with Sentiments. This set of nine hot foil plates is truly versatile with six sizes of scalloped borders and three sentiments in a gorgeous font. I'm on a mission to grow my birthday card stash, so I used this month's kit to make a pretty spring card. I started by foiling several panels of white cardstock using the two largest and two smallest scallop rectangles from the kit and alternating Lavender Petal (a BRAND NEW foil color that is gorgeous!) and Matte Silver Hot Foils. I added the the beautiful birthday sentiment to the smallest panel using Lavender Petal Hot Foil. After adhering all of the layers to a top-folding A2-sized white card base, I decided to embellish the card with little daisies cut from blue and minty cardstock using the Cinch & Go Flowers Five Die Set. Each petal was shaped with a ball stylus and layers were adhered together with liquid glue before arranging them around the sentiment panel. Rhinestones were added to the flower centers to finish the card off. Next I decided to combine the Large Die, Small Die, and Clear Stamp of the Month Kits to make a soft and subtle baby card. The tiled background along with the pierced details reminded me of a baby blanket, so I thought it would work great for this type of card as long as I kept the colors soft. I adhered two trefoil panels cut with the Small Die of the Month Kit directly to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with liquid glue. Then I stamped all of the floral tiles from the Clear Stamp of the Month Kit in pastel ink colors on white cardstock, cut them out with the dies from the Small Die of the Month Kit, and adhered them in the windows with liquid glue. For the greeting, I stamped part of a sentiment from the All Occasions Sentiments Stamp & Die Set in light grey ink and cut it out with the scalloped strip die from the More Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plates Set. Then I added a big baby yellow one cut with the Large Die of the Month Kit to finish the thought. I hope you enjoyed these quick and easy cards made with the February 2021 Spellbinders Club Kits. Keep on hopping for tons of inspiration using the kits and a chance to win store credit for Spellbinders products! 20 Cards – 1 Kit Let Your Heart Soar! Hello and Happy Monday Crafty Friends! Today I am sharing a whopping 20 Cards I made with the Spellbinders “Let Your Heart Soar” Card Kit of the Month for…
This is another photo-heavy post but it's worth it. I promise! These two cards feature the Spellbinders February 2021 Clear Stamp of the Month -- Trefoil Florals & Sentiments and it's a beauty. I've also snuck in some gold accents using the Small Die of the Month -- Trefoil Tile & Panel Card Creator (see previous post). These two club kits work perfectly together this month and they often do so it's not surprising that there are two value memberships -- Die Hard and Die & Stamp Addict. I made two cards using the same four shaped flower stamps that fit perfectly inside the trefoil tile and card creator die from the Small Die of the Month. Both cards feature the same design elements but one card is oriented vertically and the other is horizontal. Which one do you like better? I stamped the flowers on watercolour cardstock, then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. Next, I watercoloured them with distress inks and you can find all those colours listed below. I set those aside to dry and used two of the smaller dies from the Small Die of the Month to die cut the pierced gold accent pieces from matte gold cardstock and gold foil cardstock. Originally, I had all three accent pieces in gold foil cardstock but the centre piece made it hard to see the sentiment strip so I swapped out the middle one for matte gold cardstock. The sentiments, also from the February 2021 Clear Stamp of the Month, were stamped with white pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder on slate gray cardstock, the same colour I used to back the watercoloured elements. I cut white linen card bases and panels, centred all the elements, attaching them to the cards from the centre out. The gold pieces were adhered directly to the panel with liquid glue and the watercoloured elements were popped up with foam tape, as were the sentiment strips. I've been on a birthday card kick lately because they are the kind of card I send the most and always seem to need. My card stash is particularly lacking in masculine birthday cards, so I pulled out this month's Large Die of the Month Kit from Spellbinders - the perfect die set for making easy birthday cards. Birthday Wishes for Everyone features fourteen dies that cut extra large numbers and the accompanying words and symbols to complete a beautiful birthday sentiment. I started by trimming a piece of white cardstock to 4 x 5.25. After blending Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, Blueprint Sketch, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks over the entire panel with foam blending tools, I splashed a little water across it diagonally for some fun oxidized texture. Then I used the second largest circle die from the Essential Circles Die Set to add a cut-out to the lower right side for my numbers. The numbers in the kit are large enough to add some fun effects to with color, embossing, foiling, etc., so I started by adding Gold Hot Foil to white cardstock using the Modern Lines Background Foil Plate and my Glimmer Hot Foil Machine. Then I cut the cardstock with my number dies, only allowing the foiling to cover about two-thirds of the die-cut. I blended the same inks over the die-cuts to match and then cut a shadow layer and the rest of my sentiment out of gold mirror cardstock. After adding my inked background to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive, I played around with placement a bit and adhered both the happy die-cut and the numbers to the card front with more foam adhesive. The th on the 45 was added with a bit of liquid glue. For a little fun, I embossed a sentiment from this month's Clear Stamp of the Month Kit in gold on matching cardstock and trimmed it out before adhering it at the bottom with foam adhesive. My husband has been a little over-dramatic about turning 45 this year, so I made this card with him in mind and added a bit of sarcasm! :) I hope you enjoyed this easy masculine birthday card and thanks so much for stopping by today. Hello there, today I have a card to share with you using the Spellbinders February 2021 Small Die of the Month Club Kit. This month features the Trefoil Tile & Panel Card Creator. This is a rectangle panel (which looks a little like trellis to me) and then you also have pieces that you can add inside the panel, or use separately. For my card, I started off by die cutting the panel die three times from white cardstock. I added adhesive sheet behind the white cardstock before die cutting so that I could adhere them one on top of another easily. I then cut one of the centre pieces three times from pink cardstock. In this piece there is a pattern with a butterfly. I decided to cut around the butterfly with scissors, so that I could use it as a stand alone image. I also die cut the flowers and leaves from the Spellbinders Glimmering Butterflies Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. These were cut from yellow cardstock and mint for the leaves. I set these aside while I worked on my card base. I took a panel of white printer paper that measures 6.5" x 3.25" and added double sided adhesive sheet to it. I removed the top piece and then adhered strips of cardstock on top diagonally. Once they were all added, I cut off the excess from the sides and added it to a mini slimline card base with tape runner. The die cut panel was added on top, followed by the flowers and butterflies. I adhered some with glue and some with foam squares. I finish off, I added a sentiment from the Spellbinders Everyday Sentiments II Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set that I foiled on to white cardstock with Silver Foil and die cut using the die from the Spellbinders Holiday Sentiments Series 2 Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. It was adhered down with more foam squares. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the card. Affiliate links are used on some products. Hello everyone! Today, I have for you a 10 cards 1 kit process video using the February 2021 card kit of the month from Spellbinders called “Let Your Heart Soar”. This kit came with so …
I was blown away with last month's Large Die of the Month so I was absolutely thrilled to see this month's set top that one! Hello friends! I am thrilled to be a part of Spellbinders January 2021 Clubs Blog Hop and Giveaway! My card today combines the January Card Kit of the Month and the "Calligraphy Heart" Glimmer Hot Foil Kit. I started with select white card stock base and I die cut an Elegant Twist Rectangle Frame and added to the card base using foam tape. For the large four leaf clover, I combined four of the "Calligraphy Hearts" Glimmer Hot Foil Kit. I used new leaf card stock and gold foil. I ink blended additional new leaf ink and distressed mowed lawn inks to create some depth and dimension. I added a gold heart chipboard sticker to the center that was included in the January Card Kit of the Month. For the sentiment, I gold embossed and die cut the "So Lucky" that comes in the stamp and die set included in the January Card Kit. The strip sentiment comes from the same stamp set included in the card kit. I finished the card with a few clear sequins.
