Well friends, we're officially halfway through the September Papertrey Ink release countdown! I had so much fun creating my project to share with you today and I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them! My first card for today showcases the wonderful new Love to Layer: Ornament dies; I can tell I will be reaching for these time and time again. I am always drawn to products for their ease of use, but that also provide beautiful results; this collection definitely fits both checkmarks! I chose to keep this card classic and elegant, but with the included dies, the sky is the limit when it comes to possibilities for these ornaments. To begin, I die cut the three ornament pieces from Pure Poppy cardstock and then added Scarlet Jewel ink around the edges. I stacked everything together using foam squares for maximum dimension to really give it a curved, ornament shape. I offset the smallest poinsettia from the Into the Blooms: Poinsettia die collection and then added the "Peace on Earth" sentiment, which is from the Just Sentiments: Be Merry stamp set (I apologize for not linking these few items, but the website is down right now...boo!) I die cut and colored the beautiful new Into the Blooms: Christmas Sprigs and then added them to the top of the ornament. But, let me back up, the background is created by using the Fanciful Snowflake Hot Foil Plate using holographic foil onto Stormy Sea cardstock. I cut the panel to 4 by 5 1/4 inches and then added it to a top folding A2 card base. I layered the ornament onto the foiled background and then had fun arranging the sprigs here and there until I was happy with the look. My second card for today also uses the Into the Blooms: Christmas Sprigs paired with the new Psalm Reflections: September stamp/die set. If you can't tell, I'm clearly obsessed with Stormy Sea cardstock for this release! ha ha! While this scripture isn't Christmas-y, I decided to make it work for a Christmas card. To begin, I stamped the sentiment in black in the center of the Stormy Sea panel. I added some Fresh Snow ink around the edges and then some white paint splatter. I simply added a post-it note over the top of the sentiment before I added the splatter. I also added the FRAME over the top. I used liquid glue to adhere the Psalm Reflections: September die cut around the sentiment. From there I had fun adding the Into the Blooms: Christmas Sprigs at the bottom using foam squares and liquid glue. I stamped some stars from the The Greatest Gift stamp set using Fresh Snow ink. I die cut the star from glitter cardstock, which is included in the The Greatest Gift die collection and used a foam square to adhere it to the top of the card. I added some glitter to the sprigs and felt happy with how this unexpected Christmas card came together! I didn't photograph the inside, but I stamped one of the large sentiments from The Greatest Gift stamp set to finish it off! Thanks for fluttering by! P.S. Don't forget to join me again tomorrow for the 4th and final day of the countdown!

Well friends, it's the 4th and final day of the Papertrey Ink July release countdown! I have 3 projects to share with you today using the fun new Going Places stamp set and dies! My first project is inspired by a few destination wedding ideas I had saved on Pinterest and I really like how it turned out. I created a passport style card to tuck in the outer pocket that is also decorated with images from the Going Places stamp set. The pocket portion is created using the In the Pocket Die; I die cut all of the pieces from Spring Rain cardstock. I used the new Adventure Away Hot Foil Plate on the inner pierced piece for a fun look when the recipient pulls the passport-style card out of the pocket. This is what it looks like with the card tucked inside. The compass from the Adventure Away stamp set is embossed in gold and then die cut using the coordinating die. I chose to use Encore Ultimate Metallic Silver ink for the "Adventure Awaits" and the sentiment on the bottom for added interest. I'm absolutely in love with all of the stamps and dies from the Going Places stamp set! For my next project, I made a cute box using the Vintage Travel Suitcase Dies that were released a few years ago. I actually took that month off so this is the first time I've ever used it! It's so cute! I created a few tags using the Going Places stamp/die set to accent the case. I used mini gold brad to secure the handle on the top! I had a leftover flower from yesterday's bride-to-be card that is the perfect addition! My third and final project for today is a card using the Going Places stamp set paired with the World Map Stencil collection. I ended up by covering up more of the map than I was planning on, but to begin, I added some Salvaged Patina Distress ink to the edges of an A2 sized panel. I then gave it a few good spritzes of Salvaged Patina Distress Spray Stain. Once that was done, I used Mowed Lawn distress oxide ink to stencil the map. I had fun making a few tags to accent the map. My card also features the new Circular Postage dies. I plan on using these quite a bit, I can already tell! Thanks for fluttering by!
The Papertrey Ink Love to Layer Notebook Dies set includes 3 wired shapes: Large Page: 3.5 inches x 4.625 inches Medium Page: 2.75 inches x 4 inches Small Page: 1.875 inches x 3.25 inches

This stand-alone die, Larger than Life: Love is from Papertrey Ink. This die coordinates with the Larger Than Life: Love stamp set (sold separately) and cuts out a large word Love. This die is compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). This die can be used on cards, scrapbook pages, tags, and other paper crafting and mixed media projects.
I can't believe we're halfway through the countdown! My first card for today uses the new Reflections: May stamp/die set and the new Into the Blooms: Violets die. I feared that the design team would all make purple cards because of the violets, so I decided to switch it up with some pink/coral blooms for today's card! I also decided to switch things up and add the flowers to the corners rather than framing the scripture, but I'm on the fence with how I like it! ha ha! I heat embossed the scripture using white detail powder on Ocean Tides cardstock and then cut it out using the Reflections: May die set. I die cut the flowers and leaves from white cardstock and then colored them using distress oxide inks. I cut a panel of Bitty Big: Harvest Gold paper and added the Border Bling: Skinny Diagonals Frame over the top using liquid glue. I placed the scripture in the center using foam squares and then arranged the flowers in each of the four corners keeping each one slightly different for variation. I layered the entire panel onto a top-folding A2 card base using foam squares. A trio of sparkling clear sequins finish off the design! My second card for today features the new Through the Palms Hot Foil Plate! I love adding hot foiling to my cards because it gives them that little bit of flair that takes them up a notch! To begin, I blended a panel using speckled egg, tumbled glass, and uncharted mariner Distress Oxide inks. Once it was blended, I added the foiling; 25 seconds on the highest setting using gold foil. I added shimmer spray over the top of the panel and set it aside. I created some flipflops using the Go-To Gift Card Holder: Beach Bag die collection and some older Martha Stewart pattern paper that fits the mood and feeling of the card. I also used the Into the Blooms: Violet dies (once again, not purple) in each of the bottom corners for a tropical feeling. The sentiment, which is one of my favorites from the Just Sentiments: Days of Summer mini stamp set, is stamped in black over the top of the flipflops in black ink. I mounted it onto a larger card base than usual. The panel is A2, so it is probably more like5 by 7, but probably slightly smaller! Thanks for fluttering by!
Happy Monday, friends! I had a project featured in the Papertrey Ink newsletter last week, so I thought I'd also share it here and provide a few more details on how I made this card. I have step-by-step photos that should help, too! I'm currently obsessed with die cut and colored flowers, if you haven't noticed, so that was the starting point for today's card. I feel like I do a lot of "flowers framing a sentiment" type cards so I thought I'd change it up and use this cute Country Handbasket Die to fill up with the cute die cut blooms! I die cut it out of Kraft cardstock and then added some shading using Classic Kraft ink and a blender brush for added depth and dimension. I glued the two pieces of the basket together and then got to work cutting and coloring the flowers. All of the flowers used on this card are from the Into the Blooms: Wreath die. I'm currently obsessed with the flowers and have used them on quite a few projects lately, but since I took December off, I haven't actually used the wreath portion included in the dies....I really need to remedy that! I colored the flowers using assorted Distress Oxide inks and finger daubers. I die cut the border using the lovely Border Bling: Scalloped Frame die using Sweet Blush cardstock adn then added some Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink around the edges. I glued it onto a top-folding A2 card base using liquid glue. I then added a white oval that was cut using the medium-sized oval from the Love to Layer: Ovals Die. I adhered it to the card base using foam squares. I decided AFTER I added the oval which sentiment I wanted to use, but I would suggest stamping it BEFORE , so that you don't have to worry about the foam squares underneath. ha ha! The sentiment is from the Garden Blessings stamp set and I stamped it in black ink. I added some black ink splatter, Moonshine sequins, and glitter. The flowers are arranged using both liquid glue and foam squares. After I color the flowers, I used a foam mat and a stylus to shape the flowers. I didn't shape the pinks ones, though, just the yellow, blue, and white. You could change up the color combination to create something more moody or seasonal depending on what you like! Thanks for fluttering by!
Welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink June release countdown! Thank you for your sweet comments on yesterday's post! Today the team is featuring the new Into the Blooms: Iris die collection; I'm in love! I was in need of two sympathy cards this week, so I chose to make two identical cards to send to the grieving families; I think the irises are a perfect choice for a sympathy card, but I can't wait to use them again in a more cheerful way! I colored the flower portions using Amethyst Allure and Royal Velvet ink. I colored the yellow portions with a yellow marker to make things easier. The greenery is colored using Green Parakeet and New Leaf ink. Since I already had the Woodblock Prints Stencil Collection out from my travel card yesterday, I thought I'd use one of the other designs for the background on these two mini-slimline cards. I didn't add any stenciling in the middle so it almost gives the illusion that the irises are glowing. I added some black ink splatter for dimension, glitter and sequins (which I don't usually use on sympathy cards) and the sentiment is from the Feathered Friends Mini 4 stamp set. My second for today uses the new Larger than Life: Hello stamp/die set; simple and easy to use! I started off stenciling an A2 panel of white cardstock using the Wild Blooms Stencil Collection using some bright, summery colors. I also used the Cover Plate: Quilted die to add the texture over the top. I die cut the Larger than Life: Hello twice from black cardstock and then glued them together. The remainder of the sentiment is stamped in black onto a strip of white cardstock and adhered using foam squares. I gave the entire panel a spritz of shimmer spray and mounted it onto a top-folding A2 Hawaiian Shores card base. A few sequins finish it off! Thanks for fluttering by!
Larger than Life: Home Mini Stamp Set The Larger than Life: Home Sentiments coordinate perfectly with the Larger than Life: Home Die! These sentiments are meant to complete or enhance the word “Home” whether it comes in the beginning of the sentiment or the end, and always creates a thoughtful sent
YAY! It's my favorite blog post of the year with Papertrey Ink! I LOVE (see the underlined, bold, capitalized, and italic text used to convey my enthusiasm?) making and giving felt Christmas ornaments. This the third year that I've been at it and although it is only September, I'm already anticipating adding these new pieces to my tree after Thanksgiving and seeing what they look like with the ones from holidays past. And I'm anticipating which combination and assortment I'll be making and giving. And maybe...just maybe...I'm contemplating a holiday crafting party were making these will be the main event. The tradition of it just speaks to me and really makes my holiday. So, yes...just a little bit excited about the new additions I'm introducing today. And I certainly hope you like them too. A lot of thought went into this collection in order to bring you and yours as much joy as it does me. It has been nothing but a pleasure for me to design and create with. Just take a look at all this gorgeousness. With every ornament that got dropped in this bowl over the last five days, I'd show Matt. "Look at this!" He liked it. But mostly, I think he's just happy that I spend far less money on Hallmark ornaments when I make my own. LOL! Let me talk about the Stitched Ornament Collection first. These are six different dies. And they are so affordable! Just wait until you see the prices. Each individual die you cut four times, embellish, sew up the sides, and then stuff with Poly-Fil before you close it up. You get a 2-3/4" ball like ornament for your tree. Using the above photo, let me identify them for you. Starting at 1 o'clock and working my way around and ending in the middle: Stitched Ornaments: Sequins dies Stitched Ornaments: Classics dies (used with Coffee Cozy Detail Dies) Stitched Ornaments: Woven dies Stitched Ornaments: Beaded dies Stitched Ornaments: Topped dies Stitched Ornaments: Classics dies Stitched Ornaments: Embroidered dies If you notice, in that list, I mentioned Stitched Ornaments Classic twice. It has multiple versions. This is the one that makes the plain "ball" that can be embellished with other stitching dies (Coffee Cozy Details, Pajama Patch Dies, Floral Cluster 1) and it also comes with additional dies to create the snowflake diamond on each side. And not only are the dies affordable, but like yesterday with the Woven Heart Die Collection, I've sized these to minimize felt waste and maximize ornament yield specifically to the PTI rolls of felt. On the basic ornaments (Embroidered, Beaded, Woven, Classic) you can get six ornaments per roll. That's $1.00 a piece. If you create one that needs additional details (Classics with snowflake center, Topped, Sequins), it's five ornaments per roll. Which works out to be $1.20 a piece. Isnt' that fantastic? So...the dies are inexpensive and the supplies per ornament costs are low. These two features together are going to make holiday crafting so easy and fun. I want to show you this photo to show you how to get these yields. Instead of cutting my felt down with every cut I make, I'm just threading the roll through my die cut machine. I can really place my cuts right up next to each other this way . With the Woven Heart Die specifically, this is critical. It is going to be really tight to get four Woven Hearts out of a roll (man, you will have nothing left over), but entirely possible if you cut on your intact roll. Let's talk specifics. There are six different dies, after all. All the variety together is a really pleasing picture. This is Stitched Ornaments: Woven. It works with the Satin, Swiss Dot, and Grosgrain ribbon that we carry in the store. Just weave the ribbon around and tie in a nice bow. I do want to point out that on the corners the ribbon is underneath the felt. I want to mention how quick the simple designs are to stitch up. With Woven, Topped, and Classic, you can breeze right through these. I can make three Woven in an hour. For mass production, that's pretty speedy. Here's another quick one. This is one version of Stitched Ornaments: Classics with a star from the Coffee Cozy Detail Dies on top. Again, maybe not even 30 minutes. Quick, quick. And this is another version of Stitched Ornament: Classics. The diamond and snowflake dies comes in the collection. This takes a little longer, but not too much more. Another one of the quickies, is the Stitched Ornament: Topped. You can see it in my first few photos. It has the four Pure Poppy leaves on the top. I neglected to get a solo shot of this die, but you get a really good idea. And I know that Kay has a fantastic example on her blog with this die. With six different dies, there is a lot of variation. It's nice to have some quick and easy ones and contrast those on your tree or gift giving with one or two of the more embellished versions. They may take a little extra time, but it is SO VERY WORTH IT. This is Stitched Ornament: Sequin. This is Stitched Ornament: Beaded. It will really sparkle on the tree with the reflection of the Christmas lights. I do have a note here. I used almost a full vial of glass beads on this, which I got on sale for $1.50, driving up the cost per ornament. $2.50 really isn't that bad really...unless you make a lot of these. So my advice and what I'll be doing myself, is to buy the big bags of bulk beads. Especially this time of year, you can find some nice holiday assortments that will go on sale from time to time. I bet you can get the cost per ornament down to around $1.50. Much more doable. I need to make one of these with different types of beads on it...I bet that would look fantastic. And this is Stitched Ornament: Embroidered. It is based on some black work I saw. My plan here is to cut a bunch of these out and leave a tray on my kitchen island, working on them throughout the coming months. I'll assemble when I have a nice pile of finished sides that was created with little moments of time I'd otherwise have lost or got sucked into surfing on my iPad. (I'm so guilty of that!) I have some visuals for you to help you make your own. And I like to have a really big stitching diagram for embroidered items. Less eye strain. Print this full size. There are many ways to stitch up Stitched Ornaments: Embroidered. My way is just one. So here's a blank visual of it so you can print and design your own on paper before you put thread to felt. So there you have the Stitched Ornament Collection. It's pretty nifty. Mix and match for a beautiful assortment. Go heavy on the easy ones, throw in a smaller percentage of the fancy ones, and you'll have a beautiful tree or gift. Here are some basic instructions on how to assemble these ball shaped ornaments. OK. Moving on...because that's not all folks! Not by a long shot. There's more. Remember the Stitched Car and Truck dies from June? Here's the original blog post that includes the assembly video. I have addition dies to make them festive for the holiday season The Stitched Car gets a tree on top with the Stitched Car Tree Dies. A diagram for you. And the Stitched Truck gets a bed full of presents with the Stitched Truck Presents Die. Both new additions work by being sewn between the back and front felt layers of the vehicle as indicated by the visuals. Also noting that for my ornaments, there is a cardstock core between the large felt pieces to give these a little rigidity. One more thing...the Woven Heart Dies. Yesterday I showed you how you can take these new dies and create non-sew felt ornaments for your tree and gift giving in this blog post With the addition of one little die in the collection, you can turn those woven hearts into stitched puffy hearts. Here's how: These are also super quick to make. I can easily make three of these an hour. And they look fantastic mixed in with all the other ornaments this month. Alright. That's it! I hope you are as eager to make holiday ornaments as I am this year. Let me know what you make! Love seeing all this goodness out there. The girls are featuring all the ornament themed product today. You can click through Nichole's blog post to see all the additional details and click through to more inspiration. All these new dies will be available tomorrow night at 10 PM EST at www.papertreyink.com. Happy holiday crafting!

Welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Ink February release countdown! I'm sharing two project today using some beautiful new products! Disclaimer: I either misplaced or was never sent the new Psalm Reflections: February stamp set, so I chose to use another sentiment being released this month and will be showcased in a few days. I am, however, using the beautiful new Psalm Reflections: February die set; it includes these two beautifully detailed panels that could be used for almost any occasion. My card also features the beautiful new Ornate Swirls Hot Foil Plate. I chose to use gold foil on Sweet Blush cardstock to keep the warmth that the yellow flowers bring. It took some experimenting to get it to foil perfectly; I found that 19 seconds on the middle heat setting worked perfectly. Please note: it DID overfoil in the middle, but I didn't mind since I knew I would be covering the middle up with the diecuts. The sentiment is from the new Larger Than Life: Spring sentiment set that will be showcased in a few days. I framed the sentiment with flowers and leaves from the Into the Blooms: II die collection and I die cut them from white cardstock and then colored them with Distress Oxide ink. My second card for today also uses the new Ornate Swirls Hot Foil Plate paired with the new Vase Collection 15 stamp/die set. This particular stamp set comes with coordinating sentiments that fit perfectly on the wash bucket. There are 3 different sentiments that make this set very versatile. This card also uses the new Love to Layer: Beautiful Brackets die collection that I just love. Join me tomorrow for day 2 of the countdown! Thanks for fluttering by!

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas! We sure did! Things were a bit hectic getting everything ready this year, but we still had a wonderful day with family! I'm looking forward to the new year and all of the possibilities and new opportunities! I guess this particular sentiment that I chose for today's card fits pretty well with a fresh, new start! I chose the super cute Anywhere Together stamp set for my Papertrey Ink Flash Sale this week! I die cut the bike, suitcase, and balloons using the coordinating Anywhere Together die set. I used my mini MISTI to stamp all of the pieces; the bike is stamped using Lovely Lady and New Leaf ink, paired with Weathervane and True Black and the suitcase is Mint Julep and New Leaf with Weathervane details. I chose to stamp two bundles of balloons; one in Pale Peony and Lovely Lady and the other in Mint Julep and New Leaf inks. I love adding floral elements into most of my designs, so I thought the scale of the flowers from the Floral Breeze stamp set would be perfect for this card! I stamped some using Pale Peony for the base layer and Lovely Lady for the detail images and the others are stamped in Lovely Lady with Autumn Rose details. I die cut the Postage Frame using Mint Julep cardstock and layered it over a white card base with a piece of Bitty Big: Pink Posey pattern paper peeking through the middle. I had originally planned to have a horizontal card, but in the end, I decided that the tilted panel looked more playful on the vertical card. The sentiment is stamped in black onto a panel that was die cut with both the Nesting Basics: Rectangles and the companion Nesting Basics: Pierced Rectangles. I like that the pierced detail echoes the detail on the frame. Once the sentiment was stamped, I was able to start putting all of the stamped pieces into place using liquid glue and foam squares. I added some Moonshine sequins to the center of a few flowers and then sprinkled some glitter over the balloons and flowers for some added sparkle! Thanks for fluttering by!
Hello and welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink May release countdown! I think we're all looking forward to summer picnics and barbecues this summer; I know I am! There's something so wonderful about summer cuisine and being together with family and friends! I'm so thrilled with this adorable new Picnic Time die collection and the darling Life's a Picnic sentiment stamp set! Isn't this patriotic pie just the cutest thing ever? I had so much fun creating this card! I die cut all of the 'food' and flower pieces using white cardstock and then colored them using an assortment of Distress Oxide inks. You could definitely die cut all of the pieces from colored cardstock, but I find that more time consuming in the long-run, but it could be equal! ha ha! I just prefer to do the coloring and some people might prefer to the diecutting! For my card, I chose to use the pie, the hotdog and mustard, and the watermelon wedge. There is also a hamburger with ALL the fixings that is SO super adorable! I can't wait to give it a try! The background is created by adding the Border Bling: Skinny Embossed Frame cut from Enchanted Evening cardstock over the top of a piece of pattern paper. I added a little bit of Fresh Snow ink around the edges to give it a similar feeling to the pattern paper. I also added a strip of Bitty Big: Pure Poppy pattern paper to the middle. The focal panel is die cut from the new Reflections: May die set that will be showcased tomorrow. I added it to the middle using foam squares and then layered the picnic pieces and the geraniums. The sentiment is from the new Life's a Picnic stamp set and is heat embossed using detail white embossing powder on Enchanted Evening cardstock and then cut using the coordinating dies. ALL of the sentiments in the set are so super cute; there's even one you can use at thanksgiving time with the pie. I should have mentioned earlier that the patriotic look is just one of the options with the pie so you can use it in a variety of different ways! My second card for today uses the new Cornered: Summer Sun! I've paired it with the new Frozen Delights stamp/die set that was featured yesterday! To begin, I used the Pleasing Pineapple Hot Foil Plate on a panel of Orange Zest cardstock using gold foil. I cut a 4 by 5 1/4 inch panel of Aqua Mist cardstock and used the Cornered: Summer Sun die on the top. I added some Summer Sunrise ink to the top portion of an A2 white card base using a blender brush (the area where it will show through at the top). I gave that blended portion a spritz of shimmer spray. I glued the aqua panel to the card base using liquid glue and then added the foiled panel using foam squares. I used the darling Frozen Delights stamp/die set for the focal image. The sentiment is from the Just Sentiments: Summer stamp set and is heat embossed in gold on a strip of Aqua Mist cardstock. I layered it over the top using foam squares. I added sequins and glitter for sparkle and shine! I also decided to give the entire thing another spritz (or two) of shimmer spray! Thanks for fluttering by!
As promised, here is some inspiration for Father's Day and masculine cards! I'm in love with this new Hats Off to Dad stamp/die set! It's such a fun and easy set to use and it's just perfect for all kinds of occasions! The hat die could be used for feminine cards as well, not just masculine! This card also features the new Perfect Stripes Stencil collection; I know I will be using these a lot! To begin, I stenciled the background using Spring Rain and Classic Kraft onto Vintage Cream cardstock. I added some Classic Kraft ink around the edges and then set it aside. I die cut the main pieces of the hat from Kraft and then the front patch from Spring Rain. I added some Dark Chocolate around the perimeter of the hat and Kraft around the Spring Rain patch. The "professional dad" sentiment is from the Hats Off to Dad stamp set and the sentiments at the bottom are from the new Father's Day Sentiments stamp/die set. I used some Bitty Big: Kraft paper to layer over the stenciled panel. I die cut the largest piece in the Reflections: April die set. I layered the Dark Chocolate strip, which was die cut using the Love to Layer: Decorative Bracket dies over the top and then added the hat. I accented the bottom with additional sentiments. The Father's Day Sentiments stamp set also includes some options for the inside of your cards. My second card for today, and the last of the release, uses the new Argyle Stencil collection paired with another sentiment from the Father's Day Sentiments. I also snuck in another strip from the Love to Layer: Decorative Brackets die set; I love how the stitched detail looks with the Argyle! I used the medium and smallest sized die cuts from the Reflections: April die set as a mat for the tree, from the Towering Trees stamp set. I love all of the sentiments in the Father's Day Sentiments, but I chose this fun one to accent this card. This concludes my projects for today and for the release! Everything will be available for purchase tomorrow night at 10 PM ET! Thanks for fluttering by!

It's the weekend--woohoo! I'm still playing with Papertrey Ink / Ink To Paper's March release and had lots of fun making this sweet card! I used their Feathered Friends Mini 9 stamp and coordinating die as the main feature for my card. Have you seen their bird stamps? They are so beautiful and I definitely have several on my wish list! All of these stamps have layers to stamp and fill in the parts after you stamp the outline! I love that! I created a card base by die cutting the largest and next-to-largest Love to Layer: Torn Edges dies first from some red card stock. (I have the products I used in a list below with links to shop.) I adhered the white die cut to the red, and used tape runner to adhere the layers to an A2 card base. Next I stamped the greeting in the upper right corner. This sentiment is in the Prominent Petals stamp set that I used for the flowers. Before I worked on the card front, I added a sentiment from the Inside Greetings: Appreciation mini stamp set and also some flower layers from the Prominent Petals set. I stamped the outlines for the flowers, berries, and leaves from the Prominent Petals set in black ink. Then I stamped the flower and leaf layers from several brands of ink in my stash. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I did the same for the Feathered Friends Mini 9 stamp set. There's a layer that you see for the spots on the wing. I used it on the wing and also for the belly of the bird. Here in Texas, we have varieties of woodpeckers that have lots of white streaks on their underside. I stamped the speckles in Versamark, added white embossing powder, and heat set it. I decided on my arrangement and then stamped the stems for the flowers. I added foam tape to the flowers on the left and the woodpecker and adhered the other elements with glue. I always love sparkle and shine, so I added some clear Wink of Stella to the purple flower centers and the berries. The berries also got some Glossy Accents for more shine and dimension! ************************************************** I shared two other cards on Instagram last month. I'm sorry I just didn't have time to write up a blog post, but if you missed them, here you go! See, I told you their bird sets are amazing!! This card features the stand-alone die set called Feathered Friends 9. His background features the Enchanting Roses set and, again, the Love to Layer: Torn Edges die set. This next card might be my favorite! I used the absolutely gorgeous Flying By stamps and coordinating dies. This beautiful butterfly is frames out with the Border Bling: Dainty Deliveries Frame die. I know this will not be the last time I used this one! I was so very honored to have been Papertrey's guest designer in March--thank you Papertrey!!! Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you've enjoyed my cards and will stop over at Papertrey Ink to see their amazing April release! Have a wonderful weekend!
