Hello! Today I'm sharing the second card in a collection of cards that I created using the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Bowl of Sunshine ...
Good morning, all! Today is Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink new release countdown and I've got a couple of additional projects featuring A Second Helping Of Sunshine to share with you this morning. Let's get on to the projects! My first card today is a birthday card that showcases Bowl Of Sunshine and A Second Helping Of Sunshine together. These stamps are fantastic for creating one layer cards with plenty of color! I began by stamping the bowl, scale, colander, and fruit images with a wide variety of Perfect Match ink colors (the full list is below). Then, I added the sentiment from Wishes Come True in Dark Chocolate ink. I love that I can use these stamp sets together to create an even wider array of scenes. Birthdays call for gifts, so I created a small set of notecards to coordinate with my fruity birthday card. I began by stamping the woodgrain grounding shape in Fine Linen on each card followed by the sentiments in Dark Chocolate. Then I die cut several bowls and one colander from white cardstock and stamped each one with a coordinating image. Next I stamped the fruit images onto the card bases themselves before adding the bowls with foam tape. Each card measures 3 1/2" x 4 7/8" and each one has an envelope to match. It's a simple set that would make a lovely little gift. Well, that's all for me today. Thank you so much for joining me! Make sure to visit Nichole, Betsy, Dawn, Heather, Laura, Maile, Melissa, Erin, and Lexi for more of this month's new release. See you tomorrow! Welcome to the first group post for Papertrey's May release. Today is all about summer! We're featuring three new stamp sets -- Second Helping of Sunshine, sequel to Bowl of Sunshine; Quilted: Summer, the newest in Betsy's seasonal quilt stamp line; and Plaid Builder. All of the new products will be available in the Papertrey Ink store on May 15 at 10 pm. Be sure to visit Nichole's blog today for product details, giveaway info, and inspiration. Speaking of inspiration, this pitcher of white sangria was the inspiration for my first card. The perfect summertime beverage! [source: Avocado Desperado] I used Plaid Builder to make a warm, summery plaid pattern using colors from the photo: Pure Poppy, Melon Berry, Harvest Gold, and Limeade Ice. I added some Berry Sorbet for good measure. The individual stripes in the Plaid Builder set were surprisingly easy to line up. Think of all the fun you can have playing with the colors and arranging the lines to make your own custom plaids! For the focal image, I stamped a yellow Pyrex bowl from Second Helping of Sunshine and filled it with some yummy pears. I think my mom has a bowl just like this! Behind the bowl and sentiment is a frame done with Tag Sale #10, and along the bottom is a scalloped edge done with Edgers #3. Next up is a card made with Quilted: Summer. And here is my inspiration: [source: In Katrina's Kitchen] Does that look delicious or what?! Here's what I came up with: I love the pinwheel configuration of this summer quilt! Both the large and small triangles in the quilt stamp set have four different patterns to choose from. I assembled my quilt using pieces stamped in Pure Poppy, Limeade Ice and True black. Behind the quilt is a piece of Black and White all Over paper. I added a sentiment and flower to the center and that was that! Good morning, everyone! Welcome back for Day 4 of the Papertrey Ink new release countdown. Today I'm sharing a couple of additional projects featuring the Text Block: Dad die and A Second Helping Of Sunshine, so let's get to it! The Text Block: Dad die is versatile beyond the papas. With a few minor snips you can add just about any title to this die. Think your sister is the best ever? Your friend? Your dog walker? Simply use stamps, die cut letters, or stickers to switch things up. Today I'm sharing a teacher card. I began by die cutting the Text Block: Dad from Spring Moss cardstock that I'd Xyroned. Then, I die cut the block from a panel of Classic Kraft and a Rustic White card base. I stamped the Kraft layer with polka dots and the scale from A Second Helping Of Sunshine. Then, I sandwiched a piece of clear cardstock between the card base and Kraft layers to create a window. I trimmed the "DAD" from the Text Block and adhered it in the window space. Next, I die cut three of the Wonderful Words: Teacher shape from Pure Poppy cardstock and layered them together for added dimension. I adhered those over the open space in the Text Block shape. Next, I die cut a circle and a bowl from Rustic White cardstock. I stamped the scale dial and pointer onto the circle using Ripe Avocado and Pure Poppy inks and adhered it to the card front. Next, I die cut the apple filler image from Classic Kraft and stamped it with the coordinating image. I stamped the bowl in Ripe Avocado and adhered it to the apples with foam tape. That whole piece was adhered to the card base with a bit more foam tape and some flat adhesive. The final touch (that you can't really see, unfortunately) was a circle of Xyroned clear cardstock that I adhered over the scale dial to give it a more realistic appearance. It's a subtle detail, but it really adds so much. Today's final card is a baby card made by pairing A Second Helping Of Sunshine with Polka Dot Parade #4. I began by die cutting a wine bottle tag shape from white cardstock. On that, I stamped the grounding oval from Bowl Of Sunshine in Aqua Mist (stamped off once to soften the color). Then, I stamped the scale from A Second Helping of Sunshine in New Leaf. I added the dial and sentiment in Smokey Shadow and the pointer in Aqua Mist. Next, I die cut the bear from Polka Dot Parade #4 and stamped him in Classic Kraft and Harvest Gold inks. I adhered the wine bottle shape to a Harvest Gold striped card front and added the bear to the top of the scale with foam tape. Finally, I added the bow tie detail with Aqua Mist ribbon to soften the whole card a bit. And the nice thing about this type of ribbon treatment is that there is no knot, so it flattens fairly well for mailing. Well, that's all for me today, friends! Make sure to come back tomorrow for one more day of new release inspiration. In the meantime, Nichole, Amy,Ashley, Betsy, Dawn, Heather, Laura, Laurie, Maile, Melissa, Erin, and Lexi for even more inspiration. I'll see you tomorrow morning! Good morning, friends! Welcome to the first day of the Papertrey Ink May new release countdown! I have the great pleasure of introducing a couple of additions to the Papertrey family over the next few days. This month brings a follow up to last year's Bowl Of Sunshine stamp set called A Second Helping Of Sunshine (available May 15th) as well as the next in the Text Block series, Text Block: Dad (available May 15th). How about we get on to a couple of projects so you can see these new goodies in action! This first card is a Father's Day card made with the new Text Block: Dad die. I began by stamping a Rustic White card base with Background Basics: Retro and set it aside. Next, I die cut the Text Block: Dad shape from two pieces of wood veneer paper (one had been "stained" with Dark Chocolate ink). I used an inlay technique to build the Text Block on a piece of Kraft cardstock. The contrast is so cool! And the best part? Now I have a second one (in the opposite colors) to make an additional card. Handy! Next, I added foam tape to the back of the Text Block piece and stuck a few flat-head pins through the foam to look like nails. I stuck that down to the prepared card base and went about making my hammer. I die cut the shape from Rustic White cardstock and stamped the handle with Pure Poppy ink. I went back with VersaMark and silver powder to heat emboss the metal head of the hammer. I used a small piece of foam tape to adhere the hammer into position and called it a day. So great for a Mr. Fix-it, wouldn't you say? Next up is A Second Helping Of Sunshine! I started by stamping a piece of Fresh Snow linen cardstock with Background Basics: Super Gingham in Spring Moss ink. I die cut the gingham piece and some Spring Moss with the You've Been Framed: Diamond die and inlaid the patterned piece into a Pure Poppy You've Been Framed shape. I matted that whole panel with a piece of linen cardstock and then adhered the whole thing to a Kraft card base. Next, I die cut and stamped the bowl and cherries using Pure Poppy, Enchanted Evening, Dark Chocolate, and Spring Moss inks. The sentiment was stamped in Enchanted Evening on a Sketched Shapes banner. I adhered that to the card front before adding my bowl of cherries with foam tape. A simple baker's twine bow was the perfect finishing touch. I have one last card to share with you, also made with A Second Helping Of Sunshine. This one is a simple card, but it gets the message across rather well, no? I began by stamping the scale onto a Soft Stone card base using Tropical Teal ink. I added the shadow (from Bowl Of Sunshine) with Aqua Mist that had been stamped off once. Then I added the sentiment above the scale using Smokey Shadow ink. Next, I die cut a circle using the Rattled die and stamped it with the dial and pointer for the scale. I adhered it into place and covered it with an epoxy embellishment I created using Heather's handy tutorial. The result is so lifelike! Just a fun card with a hint of silliness to let someone know that they're on your mind. So that's all for me today, folks. I'll be back again tomorrow with more of this month's new releases. In the meantime, Nichole, Betsy, Dawn, Erin, Maile, and Lexi for more inspiration. Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow! Hello everyone and welcome to another day of the Papertrey Ink May release countdown. Today is a group post day and today we all have some summer inspiration to share using the new Quilted: Summer and Second Helping of Sunshine...
Good morning, everyone, and welcome back for Day 5 of the Papertrey Ink new release countdown. I'm sharing a couple of additional cards featuring A Second Helping Of Sunshine and the Text Block: Dad die, so let's get to it! My first card today pairs my new Text Block die with Betsy's Plaid Builder set. I began by stamping a plaid pattern onto Fresh Snow Linen cardstock using Blueberry Sky, Simply Chartreuse, and Terra Cotta Tile inks. I trimmed that down to 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered it to a Fresh Snow Linen card base. Next, I stamped an Enchanted Evening panel with the pinstripe lines from the Plaid Builder set using VersaMark to give a subtle tone-on-tone appearance. Then, I die cut a Text Block: Dad shape from a piece of Xyroned Simply Chartreuse cardstock and adhered it to the Enchanted Evening panel. That piece needed a little extra pop, so I inlaid the "ever" with Fresh Snow Linen before mounting the focal point to the card front with foam tape. Dad + Plaid = Bromance. My last card today is a note for a friend featuring A Second Helping Of Sunshine. I began by die cutting a circle from a panel of Fresh Snow Linen cardstock. I stamped my sentiment below the circle and textured it with the Chicken Wire Impression Plate. Then, I stamped the little cherry scene onto a Fresh Snow Linen card base. I used Ombre Builders to ground the bowl of cherries, stamping it in Spring Rain a couple of times to add depth. The bowl was then stamped in Ocean Tides and the cherries were Rock 'n Rolled in Autumn Rose and Scarlet Jewel. Next, I stamped the scalloped border from Be Happy in Autumn Rose along the right edge, adding a narrow strip of Scarlet Jewel to really define the edge. The sentiment/chicken wire panel was then added to the card front with foam tape to finish it off. This card, with the colors and the chicken wire, has a little bit of a country vibe that I think works well with the images from A Second Helping Of Sunshine. I hope you agree! Well, that's it for me for this release. Make sure to check in with Nichole, Amy, Ashley, Betsy, Dawn, Heather, Laura, Laurie, Maile, Melissa, Erin, and Lexi to see what they have up their sleeves today. I'll see you again soon! Today we are previewing a new stamp set coming out at Papertrey Ink in a few days called Bowl of Sunshine, along with the new Berry Basket II die. I wanted to do something different with the Berry Basket II. Instead of a real "basket" with it, I created a pocket for a set of cards. Do you like to give card sets as gifts? They're wrapped up with a set of envies behind and tucked in a cellophane bag. First, here is how I made the basket pocket. I die cut just ONE of the basket pieces in Aqua Mist cardstock. Then I scored on the lines and folded in the side tab and folded the bottom piece up. I adhered the 2 sides of the basket to the back. Voila! A pocket! The cards are slightly smaller than an A2 size to fit in the pocket. I trimmed them to a finished size of 3.5" x 5". Then stamped them (one card with each different fruit) with the Bowl of Sunshine stamps. When the stamping was finished, they are dry embossed using the Herringbone Impression Plate. One of the bowls was die cut with the Bowl of Sunshine dies, then I used it as a mask to stamp the shading under the bowl with the oval stamp in the set. When I looked up "berry basket" online, I saw lots of cute baskets with red plaid fabric hanging over the edge, so I achieved a similar look with a piece of Pure Poppy patterned paper by Papertrey Ink, just folded and adhered to the top edge of the basket. When all of the cards were done, I inserted them into the basket, put the basket inside a cellophane bag, and added 4 envelopes behind the pocket in the bag. Twine and a die cut word finishes off the gift on the outside! The word "enjoy" is cut with the new Wet Paint Cuts dies. That's it! This is a quick 'n easy gift card set to make when you need a gift in a pinch. Berry Basket Pocket with Card Set: (All supplies by Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted.) I'm back! We had a ton of fun in Vegas with our friends, but I'm glad to be back home with my fur-children and my craft room. Travelling is always fun, but sometimes it takes you some time to recover when you finally get home! I started playing with my ink and paper today with some inspiration from The Challenge #34. These colors always remind me of fruit and with summer coming up, I just gave in and played with some fruit images. I'm submitting this first card to The Challenge because I just love how it turned out. I used Papertrey Ink's Bowl of Sunshine for the fruit, but I swiped the sentiment from MFT Stamps You're the Sweetest set. I added some Wink of Stella to the fruit for some glimmer, but it's really hard to capture in a photo. Supplies: Stamps: Bowl of Sunshine (PTI), You're the Sweetest (MFT) Dies: Stitched Rectangles (SSS), Bowl of Sunshine (PTI) Paper: Kraft, Whisper White Ink: Fake Tan, Sunflower, Mowed Lawn (Lawn Fawn), Sahara Sand, Baked Brown Sugar, Soft Suede Other: Clear Wink of Stella This next card I made for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Again, I used the colors from the Challenge because they were on my desk and just went with my fruit theme. The challenge this week is to use Simon Exclusive products, so I broke out some stamp sets and had fun. I used the You're the Sweetest and Lemonade sets for this card. It's so easy to change up the type of fruit with just a simple color change! Supplies: Stamps: You're the Sweetest (SSS), Lemonade (SSS) Dies: Stitched Rectangles (SSS) Paper: Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Vellum Ink: Mowed Lawn, Sunflower, Fake Tan, Black Licorice (Lawn Fawn) Other: Yellow Baker's Twine, Moonshine Sequins
Good morning, friends! Welcome back for Day 3 of the Papertrey Ink countdown! I have a few more projects to share with you featuring A Second Helping Of Sunshine and the Text Block: Dad die. Let's get to it! Today's first card showcases the pears from A Second Helping Of Sunshine. I bean by stamping the pears repeatedly on a white card base using a variety of inks. I used the Rock 'n Roll technique to give the pears a bit of dimension. Next, I heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of Aqua Mist striped paper and added a Loop De Loop border for a bit of whimsy. I mounted that panel to the card base with foam tape to finish it off. I have another pear card with an alternate sentiment for those of you that aren't as fond of puns. I started this one by die cutting the Scene It: Skyscapes shapes, one from vellum and one from Lemon Tart cardstock. I sponged the vellum with Aqua Mist ink and layered the two together before adhering them to a white card base. I added "rays" of glitter and set the card aside. Then, I die cut the bowl and pear shapes and stamped them with the coordinating images. I added a Berry Sorbet heart to the bowl and embellished it with glitter. Next, I die cut the banner and stamped the sentiment in Dark Chocolate. I adhered that to the card front with foam tape and layered the bowl of pears in the center of the sunburst. One last Father's Day card for today. This one featuring the Text Block: Dad die. I started by die cutting a handful of 1 3/4" circles from white cardstock. I stamped them with the baseball stitching lines from 7th Inning Stretch and adhered them to a Spring Rain card front. I trimmed off the excess and textured the whole piece with the Linen & Canvas impression plate. Then, I adhered that panel to a white card base and set it aside. Next, I Xyroned a piece of Enchanted Evening cardstock and die cut it with the Text Block: Dad die. I backed that shape with vellum and adhered it to the card base at an angle. Then, I die cut the baseball bat shape and stamped it with the coordinating image (first inked with Fine Linen and sponged with Classic Kraft for dimension). I mounted the bat to the card front with foam tape and called it good. Thank you for joining me today! I'll be back tomorrow with more of this month's release, but in the meantime you'll definitely want to check in with Nichole, Amy, Ashley, Betsy, Dawn, Heather, Laura, Laurie, Maile, Melissa, Erin, and Lexi for even more inspiration. Well, here we are, Friends. It's Day 5 of the June Papertrey Ink new release countdown. Nichole and the Design Team are featuring Bowl Of Sunshine (available June 15th) today, so make sure to visit everyone for their take on this new set. I have a photo-heavy post for you, so settle in and enjoy! My first project today is a set of kitchen tags. We seem to have several friends in need of a homemade meal, treat, or surprise lately. I thought it might be handy to make some tags to have ready for the next time we make a delivery. These tags make it easy to give a few simple instructions, brief recipes, or notes for the recipient. I began by die cutting several tags from Classic Kraft, Spring Moss, and white cardstocks. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment (from Bowl Of Sunshine) onto each colored tag and then followed up with the stitched line strip from Ombre Builders to give a bit of texture. I die cut bowl and fruit shapes to embellish the front of each tag. I die cut two upper case "J"s from wood veneer using the Smooth Alphabet to create spoon handles for the soup bowls. I also stained them with Dark Chocolate ink to make them stand out a bit better. Then, I stamped the white tags with the lines from Journal Accessories using inks that coordinated with the front of each tag. I adhered the white lined tags to the back of each decorated tag to make it easy to write clear, orderly notes. These tags can be easily tied to casseroles, jars of soup, bottles of juice, drink mixes, etc. for a thoughtful gift for a friend in need (or just because). You can even include an ingredients list for those folks that are health or allergy conscious. There's nothing better than the gift of something fresh and delicious when you don't have the time to take care of yourself (by the way, this recipe makes more juice than the jar could hold, but it was the first jar I found in our cupboard so I went with it). My last project today is a welcome to the neighborhood card for someone new on the block. I began by die cutting and stamping the bowls from Bowl Of Sunshine. Then I heat embossed my sentiment onto a Terra Cotta Tile card front and adhered it to a white card base. Next, I created a moving box by doing a little creative cutting and folding with a piece of Classic Kraft cardstock. I sponged all of the folds and edges with Classic Kraft ink to create a little depth. Then, I took a piece of packing paper (that's right, the stuff that comes in our boxes every month) and stamped it with Background Basics Newsprint using Smokey Shadow ink. I crumpled the faux newsprint and attached one piece to my card front (only in the center to keep the edges from flattening too much) and another, smaller piece inside my moving box. I adhered my bowls to a piece of Aqua Mist cardstock using flat and foam adhesives and then mounted my box over top them using narrow strips of foam tape along the edges. I used more foam tape (again, only in the center) to attach the focal panel to the card front. The finished product is so much fun! Alrighty, friends. That's all for me for this countdown. I hope you've enjoyed my projects this time around. Make sure to check in with Nichole, Ashley, Betsy, Danielle, Dawn, Erin, Heather, Laura, Laurie, Maile, and Melissa for their inspiring projects today. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again soon! Recipes: Birthday Fruit Card Stamps: Bowl Of Sunshine, A Second Helping Of Sunshine (available May 15th), Wishes Come True - Papertrey Ink Cardstock: white Ink: Pure Poppy, Limeade Ice, Dark Chocolate, Summer Sunrise, Lemon Tart, Harvest Gold, Ripe Avocado, Orange Zest, Aqua Mist, Winter Wisteria, Simply Chartreuse - Papertrey Ink Fruity Stationery Set Stamps: Bowl Of Sunshine, A Second Helping Of Sunshine (available May 15th), Block Party - Papertrey Ink Cardstock: white Ink: Pure Poppy, Limeade Ice, Dark Chocolate, Summer Sunrise, Lemon Tart, Harvest Gold, Ripe Avocado, Orange Zest, Aqua Mist, Simply Chartreuse, Berry Sorbet, Spring Rain, Fine Linen - Papertrey Ink Other: Bowl Of Sunshine Die, A Second Helping Of Sunshine Die (available May 15th) - Papertrey Ink; Foam Tape - Scotch
Good morning, friends, and welcome to the first day of the Papertrey Ink June new release countdown! I have a fun new set to debut this month and I can't wait to share. Bowl Of Sunshine (available June 15th) was inspired by the bowls my grandma used to use in her own kitchen. A little research led me to include three vintage-inspired patterns, solid and outline bowls (perfect for paper piecing), and a colander in the set. There is also a variety of fruit images to keep your bowls full of sunshine. I've been having so much fun with these images and I truly believe you'll love them, too. Shall we get on to a couple of projects? My first card today uses a sentiment that I used to hear from Grandma whenever things weren't quite going my way. I began by die cutting and stamping the colander image onto a piece of Aqua Mist cardstock. I heat embossed with white detail powder and set that aside for a moment. Then, I die cut the lemons with leaves shape (you're going to love this die collection - so many possibilities) and stamped it with the coordinating images using Harvest Gold and New Leaf inks. Next, I created my card front. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto Classic Kraft cardstock. Once that had cooled for a moment, I stamped it with Background Basics: Woodgrain and adhered it to a white card base. Then, I cut a piece of Aqua Mist cardstock into "rays." I sponged three of the rays with white ink to soften the color of the cardstock and then adhered them to the card base. I attached the fruit to the colander with a strip of foam tape and then attached the whole piece to the card front just over the intersection of my rays. I finished the card off with a yellow baker's twine bow. My next card could be used for all sorts of occasions. I began by stamping a Spring Rain card front with Background Basics: Tin Types in the same color ink and adhered it to a white card base. Next, I die cut a bowl and the oranges only shape from white cardstock and stamped them with the coordinating images. The bowl was first stamped with the solid image and then with the dotted border thereafter. I continued by stamping the grounding oval, leaves, and sentiment onto white cardstock. I wanted a little variation in the color of the shadow, so I stamped the second generation of Spring Rain first and then rolled the edges of the oval in Spring Rain again and stamped it a second time. I matted the focal image with a piece of Summer Sunrise cardstock and mounted it to the card front with foam tape. Next, I took my oranges die cut and textured it with the Linen & Canvas impression plate a couple of times. Doing so gives the oranges a realistic, bumpy finish. Then I attached a strip of clear cardstock to the back of the die cut. I taped the ends of the clear cardstock to the focal panel in a slight "U" shape which gives the die cut a subtle, rounded appearance (and it smooshes flat for easy mailing). I mounted the bowl atop the fruit with foam tape to finish off the card. Well, that's all for me today. Thank you so much for joining me! I hope you'll stop by again tomorrow as I share a bit more with Bowl Of Sunshine. In the meantime, Nichole, Betsy, Dawn, Erin, Heather, Laurie, and Melissa all have projects to inspire you up on their blogs. Enjoy and I'll see you tomorrow! Recipes: Make Lemonade Card Stamps: Bowl Of Sunshine (available June 15th), Background Basics Woodgrain - Papertrey Ink Cardstock: Classic Kraft, Aqua Mist - Papertrey Ink; white Ink: Fresh Snow, Harvest Gold, New Leaf - Papertrey Ink; VersaMark - Tsukineko Other: Bowl Of Sunshine Die Collection (available June 15th) - Papertrey Ink; Foam Tape - Scotch; Lemon Baker's Twine - Divine Twine Sweet Oranges Card Stamps: Bowl Of Sunshine (available June 15th), Background Basics Tin Types - Papertrey Ink Cardstock: Spring Rain, Summer Sunrise - Papertrey Ink; white Ink: Spring Rain, Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado, Summer Sunrise - Papertrey Ink Other: Bowl Of Sunshine Die Collection (available June 15th), Linen & Canvas Impression Plate - Papertrey Ink; Foam Tape - Scotch
Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Day 4 of the June Papertrey Ink new release countdown! I'm back again today with a couple of projects featuring my new set, Bowl Of Sunshine (available June 15th). I know it's a group post day and you have plenty to hop around to see, so let's get right to it! My first card today would be a nice, have-a-great-day sort of card. I began by stamping a panel of Pure Poppy with the largest polka dot from Polka Dot Basics III using the matching ink. Then, I went back and overstamped a few of the dots randomly with the crosshatched overlay using Dark Chocolate ink. I adhered that to a white card base and set it aside. Next, I die cut an apples (no leaves) shape and bowl from white cardstock. I stamped them with the coordinating images and adhered them together with flat adhesive. Then, I die cut a Mat Stack 3 shape from Classic Kraft cardstock and stamped it with the shadow and leaves. I mounted my bowl of apples to the Mat Stack shape and then mounted the whole focal point to my card base with a bit of foam tape. Next, I die cut the banner shape from Tag Sale #10 from white cardstock and stamped it with the sentiment and two Pure Poppy dots. Finally, I mounted the sentiment banner to the card front and embellished with small dots of Stickles. My second card is another using the "make lemonade" sentiment. I began by texturing the front of a Spring Moss card base with the Linen & Canvas impression plate. Then, I stamped my patterned panel using Simply Chartreuse and Lemon Tart inks and attached an Aqua Mist Loop De Loop Border Die shape to the back. I adhered that whole piece to the front of my card base. Next, I die cut the sentiment flag from Simply Chartreuse cardstock before stamping and heat embossing my sentiment. Then, I die cut the lemons (with leaves) and a bowl shape and stamped them with Harvest Gold, Simply Chartreuse, and Aqua Mist inks. I adhered my sentiment flag to the card front then attached the bowl and fruit dies with foam tape. I finished up by using a bit more of the tape to adhere the dies to the card front. Thank you for joining me today! I'll see you back here again tomorrow with one more day of inspiration using Bowl Of Sunshine. Until then, Nichole, Ashley, Betsy, Danielle, Dawn, Erin, Heather, Laura, Laurie, Maile, and Melissa have projects to share with you today. Enjoy and I'll see you tomorrow! Hello again, friends, and welcome back for Day 3 of the June Papertrey Ink new release countdown! I am so excited to hear that you're all enjoying Bowl Of Sunshine (available June 15th). It's such a fun, versatile set that will work with just about any sentiments you already have in your collection. How about I show you, eh? My first project is another little "thinking of you" card. I wanted to show how easy it is to create simple projects with plenty of dimension. I began by stamping the outline bowl onto the back of a piece of Harvest Gold Leaves paper. I did the stamping on the back to keep from having an outline on my finished piece. I fussy cut the bowl and heat embossed it with a couple of layers of clear embossing powder. The result looks like glazed ceramic! I adhered that to a die cut bowl for a little stability and to make sure the bowl was fully opaque (the lighter colors of patterned paper can get a tiny bit translucent when you apply this much VersaMark/embossing powder). Next, I stamped the shadow, limes (one simple color switch makes the lemons into limes!), leaves, and sentiment onto a white card base. I mounted my bowl to the card front with foam tape to finish it off. Quick and clean...my favorite kind of card. My second project uses one of the bowl stripes to create a rainbow pattern. I began by stamping the rainbow stripes onto a narrow piece of cardstock. When I had finished my stamping I cut the rainbow panel in half to give me two strips. Next, I mounted the strips to a Classic Kraft card base with foam tape. Then, I created my sentiment banner. I die cut the banner shape from vellum cardstock using the First Place Die Collection. I stamped the sentiment, from Dawn's new Thank You Kindly set, and heat embossed using white detail powder. I adhered the banner to the rainbow strips using vellum tape and embellished the rainbow pattern with a few matching sequins. Another simple card that packs a punch. That's all for me for now. Thank you so much for stopping by today! Make sure to check in with Nichole, Ashley, Danielle, Dawn, Erin, Heather, and Melissa for even more inspiration with this month's new stamps. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow! Hello everyone and welcome to a Papertrey Ink Throwback Thursday! Today, a few of us from the design team are revisiting the Bowl of Sunshine stamp set. Bowl of Sunshine is such a bright and cheery se
Welcome to the final day of the Papertrey Ink June countdown and the second design team group post day. Today's group post is focused on the new Bowl of Sunshine stamp set and the Berry Basket II die. You are all in for a sweet treat! I'm sure every one of the Design Team projects has something great in store for you today. I'm joining in with a sweet treat of my own, sweet yet zesty key lime cookies packaged up tastily using today's featured stamp set and dies. Here's my take on this set... I've chosen to work with a citrusy combo of limeade ice, new leaf, ocean tides, kraft and smokey shadow for today's ensemble. This little goody basket, constructed from limeade ice and ocean tides cardstock, is filled with some homemade key lime cookies (tasty recipe found here). Tied to it is a sweet tag (used the Tag Sale #9 dies) embellished with a bowl full of limes. And finished off with an enamel dot and cream baker's twine. I just love this color combo! Drawing inspiration from the tag, I created a coordinating card using the same images but a different sentiment. Trimmed off the base of the tag to fit along the bottom edge of the card front. The pattern paper strip along the side was hand stamped using an image from the new Ombre Builder stamp set. Well, that's all I've got for you today. Just remember... everything you've seen peek of today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning June 15th. Now, be sure to see what the rest of the Papertrey Ink design team has in store for you today... Good morning and welcome back to Day 2 of the June Papertrey Ink new release countdown! Thank you all so much for your enthusiasm for Bowl Of Sunshine! I can't wait to share more of this great new set with all of you, so let's get started! My first card today is a little "thinking of you" number. I began by texturing a white panel with the Rustic Burlap impression plate and adhering it to a white card base. Next, I die cut a Tag Sale #10 die shape from Classic Kraft cardstock. I cut the frame, using that same die collection, from white cardstock and adhered it to my tag. I stamped the sentiment (from Bowl Of Sunshine) using Dark Chocolate ink and embellished the tag with Pure Poppy saddle stitched ribbon, a Spring Moss button, and some Rustic Jute Button Twine. Next, I mounted the tag to the crd front using foam tape. Then, I die cut the apples with leaves shape and bowl shape from white cardstock. I stamped those with the coordinating images and adhered them to the tag shape. I wanted to give the bowl a little dimension, but I didn't want the thickness of foam tape, so I layered excess die cuts and strips of cardstock to get more subtle depth. My second card would be perfect for a beginning of the year teacher gift (I thought I'd jump ahead to fall since I know most of you are finished with your end of year gifts already). I began by layering a four inch square of striped Aqua Mist cardstock with a square of white cardstock (for stability). I then mounted that piece with foam tape to a white card base that I had stamped with a sentiment. Next, I die cut and stamped several apples (with leaves) and bowls. I arranged them in a grid pattern and adhered them to the striped patterned layer on the card. Then, I Xyroned some white cardstock and die cut three of the Wonderful Words: Teacher shape. I layered them together to create a little stability and depth and adhered the word shape to the front of the card. Simple! Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you'll pop back in tomorrow to see even more of Bowl Of Sunshine. In the meantime, Nichole, Dawn, Erin, Heather, and Maile all have projects to share with you today. Go check them out and I'll see you again soon. Have a great day! Today, I have a fun post to share with you! Today's group on the PTI countdown is all about the new set called Bowl of Sunshine. I have a fun and super easy project that would be awesome for a house warming gift or any occasion. First off, here is the card I made to go with the set... I stamped the colander and apples first, along with the sentiment. I popped the panel with a little scalloped edge tucked underneath. That is a fun trim isn't it? Well, it comes from this adorable new Berry Basket II die.... This gift includes 2 stamped tea towels, a matching card and tag. I stamped an apple from Teachers apple and added a little extension of Pure Poppy striped paper along the bottom. The sentiment comes for Bowl of Sunshine. I found a 2 pack of tea towels at Hobby Lobby and used a coupon so they were around $3 for the pair. I stamped the colander in Dark Chocolate, the apples in Pure Poppy, of course. I added stems and used the single leaf to add a few around the apples. Let's talk about this fun basket. It was so easy to put together! And the stitching details are so adorable. The bow is made from Simply Chartreuse Saddle Stitch. I filled the basket with some kraft scrunched up paper from Hobby Lobby, as well. Here is a picture of the towel open so you can see. Just a quick and simple detail for a fun and easy gift.... That is all I have for today! I know I said this yesterday....but I can't wait to see what the other girls have made up for today. Here is the list of places to stop.... Recipes: Birthday Fruit Card Stamps: Bowl Of Sunshine, A Second Helping Of Sunshine (available May 15th), Wishes Come True - Papertrey Ink Cardstock: white Ink: Pure Poppy, Limeade Ice, Dark Chocolate, Summer Sunrise, Lemon Tart, Harvest Gold, Ripe Avocado, Orange Zest, Aqua Mist, Winter Wisteria, Simply Chartreuse - Papertrey Ink Fruity Stationery Set Stamps: Bowl Of Sunshine, A Second Helping Of Sunshine (available May 15th), Block Party - Papertrey Ink Cardstock: white Ink: Pure Poppy, Limeade Ice, Dark Chocolate, Summer Sunrise, Lemon Tart, Harvest Gold, Ripe Avocado, Orange Zest, Aqua Mist, Simply Chartreuse, Berry Sorbet, Spring Rain, Fine Linen - Papertrey Ink Other: Bowl Of Sunshine Die, A Second Helping Of Sunshine Die (available May 15th) - Papertrey Ink; Foam Tape - Scotch
Happy Thursday! I am joining a few of the other ladies from the Papertrey Ink Design Team today and we are revisiting a super adorable stamp set called Bowl of Sunshine for this week’s Throwback Thurs
