I made this quick buddha bowl using zero grains and lots of veggies, over 10 of them to be exact. I love making cauliflower rice because it’s one of the easiest and quickest ways to whip up a rice bowl without any of the wait. I found this yellow cauliflower at the farmers market and it helped inspi

Okay, since I'm really on this kick lately of making homemade what I would usually buy pre-packaged in the store, here's a simple recipe for au jus that is delicious and easy. Just like the other seasonings I've posted, this one will last 2-3 months on the shelf in an airtight container. I keep mine in one of these adorable little glass jars from IKEA--they come in a set of 4 for like $3 and are perfect for holding small amounts of seasonings or yummy baking goodies like mini M&Ms or chocolate sprinkles! Just like all my other seasonings, I break out the ole P-Touch and whip out what it is and handy-dandy measurements onto labels and slap them on. Cute and efficient=happy Sunshine. :) Makes 12-14 Cups 12 beef bouillon cubes (or 4 tablespoons granules) 4 teaspoons onion powder 2 teaspoons parsley 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 4 tablespoons cornstarch Directions: Blend all ingredients in a blender 30 seconds until completely ground and combined. Store in an airtight container or ziploc bag. To make au jus, measure out 4 1/2 teaspoons into a small saucepan and whisk with 2 cups of water over medium-high heat 15 minutes until bubbly and thickened. To use as seasoning, measure out 4 1/2 teaspoons at a time to equal one package of au jus seasoning mix. Another quick and easy homemade fix that is way cheaper than buying the individual seasoning packets. To avoid MSG, always check the labels when buying bouillon. Organic beef bouillon without MSG can be found! The recipe I use this for most often is my Mississippi Roast in the crockpot, but every once in awhile I'll mix it up to make sandwiches for a party or dinner. Yum! I do have a weakness for au jus sandwiches. :)

Thick, chunky chowder has always been a humble food made with whatever is around. Looking through recipes, we found none delivered everything we sought in ours: velvety texture, unambiguous corn flavor, plentiful, plump kernels, and delicacy. We began our search for velvety Corn Chowder and unambiguous corn flavor with fresh corn. For depth, we cooked the onions and corn in rendered bacon fat. This technique added toasty, slightly caramelized flavors to the corn, and by extension, the chowder. Tasters preferred red potatoes in the chowder, which retained their shape and added a pretty gleam of pink. To thicken the chowder and intensify flavor, instead of a traditional flour and butter roux, we pureed canned corn with some chicken broth. This produced a golden, satiny chowder base with a vibrant fresh corn taste.

Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Day 4 of the June Papertrey Ink new release countdown! I'm back again today with a couple of projects featuring my new set, Bowl Of Sunshine (available June 15th). I know it's a group post day and you have plenty to hop around to see, so let's get right to it! My first card today would be a nice, have-a-great-day sort of card. I began by stamping a panel of Pure Poppy with the largest polka dot from Polka Dot Basics III using the matching ink. Then, I went back and overstamped a few of the dots randomly with the crosshatched overlay using Dark Chocolate ink. I adhered that to a white card base and set it aside. Next, I die cut an apples (no leaves) shape and bowl from white cardstock. I stamped them with the coordinating images and adhered them together with flat adhesive. Then, I die cut a Mat Stack 3 shape from Classic Kraft cardstock and stamped it with the shadow and leaves. I mounted my bowl of apples to the Mat Stack shape and then mounted the whole focal point to my card base with a bit of foam tape. Next, I die cut the banner shape from Tag Sale #10 from white cardstock and stamped it with the sentiment and two Pure Poppy dots. Finally, I mounted the sentiment banner to the card front and embellished with small dots of Stickles. My second card is another using the "make lemonade" sentiment. I began by texturing the front of a Spring Moss card base with the Linen & Canvas impression plate. Then, I stamped my patterned panel using Simply Chartreuse and Lemon Tart inks and attached an Aqua Mist Loop De Loop Border Die shape to the back. I adhered that whole piece to the front of my card base. Next, I die cut the sentiment flag from Simply Chartreuse cardstock before stamping and heat embossing my sentiment. Then, I die cut the lemons (with leaves) and a bowl shape and stamped them with Harvest Gold, Simply Chartreuse, and Aqua Mist inks. I adhered my sentiment flag to the card front then attached the bowl and fruit dies with foam tape. I finished up by using a bit more of the tape to adhere the dies to the card front. Thank you for joining me today! I'll see you back here again tomorrow with one more day of inspiration using Bowl Of Sunshine. Until then, Nichole, Ashley, Betsy, Danielle, Dawn, Erin, Heather, Laura, Laurie, Maile, and Melissa have projects to share with you today. Enjoy and I'll see you tomorrow! Come summer I want to be outdoors as much as possible, enjoying the sunshine, water sports, and fresh sea air. That leaves little room or desire for meal planning, turning on the oven, or sitting down three times a day for a full meal! There’s just something about the heat that zaps my appetite but leaves me craving cold, creamy, and refreshing smoothies for breakfast ...
