Good morning and welcome to Day 4 of the January Papertrey Ink countdown. Today we're featuring a couple of sets with latin flair. I love the bold and graphic look of the stamps we're introducing this morning. They encourage the use of such bright and cheerful colors and who doesn't love that?! This time of year, that flash of vivid color can go a long way to add happiness to a gray day (and we've had plenty of those lately). Let's get on to the details! My first card just uses Nichole's new Latin Motifs set. These images have a folk-art style that you're going to love! I began by stamping the sun onto a panel of white cardstock. I trimmed away part of that panel to give a peek at the card base underneath. I stamped the sentiment and then adhered that layer to an Aqua Mist card base that I'd stamped with a line pattern from the set. I used Tropical Teal ink to give a nice, bold contrast. Next, I stamped the bird onto scrap cardstock using Berry Sorbet and Pure Poppy inks. I trimmed around it and played with the wings a little until they had a slight curve. I attached the bird to the card front with foam tape, using two layers under the wings to give that curve some support. Aren't those colors perfect for encouraging someone who needs it? Next up, I've paired the flowers from Latin Motifs with the leaves in my Palm Prints set. I began by sponging and speckling a white card base with Aqua Mist ink. Then, I stamped the card base with a few leaves and added in some die cuts for a bit of variety. I used both flat and foam adhesives to give plenty of dimension. Then I stamped and trimmed out the flowers. I wanted a nice pop of color, so I went with bright oranges. I tucked the flowers in around the leaves and then topped everything off with a simple sentiment strip. I'm really loving that orange! That's all for me, friends. Thank you so much for stopping by today! Make sure to check in with Nichole, Amy, Ashley, Betsy, Dawn, Heather, Kay, Laurie S., Laurie W., Melissa, and Maile to see more inspiration. Have a great day and I'll see you again soon! Hello everyone! We have a cold day here in NJ; today's high is 28 degrees! Very cold indeed, and super windy, too. I am grateful for a warm home, and sunshine pouring in our windows. I'm burning a Peppermint candle from Antique Candle Co. I bought the bundle while it's on sale. It smells soooo good! I've got some bird-themed cards to share with you, and I'm entering the first one in a challenge called Tic Tac Toe. See below for the row I picked! K & Company bird sticker; Spellbinders oval dies; white lace; gold mirror cardstock; Papertrey Ink Tiny Tags sentiment stamp I used the bottom row, with a sentiment, embellishment (lace, bird sticker) and die cut (the two ovals). Hello! I'm back to share a few more of my projects for the January Papertrey Ink Release that I didn't have ready for the countdown! All of the products I'm showing today are available in the store at Papertrey Ink. My first card uses the beautiful new Gathered Garden stamps. I decided to try a monotone color scheme for this one. I put a piece of painter's tape across my card about 2/3 of the way up, then blended some Aqua Mist ink above it. With the painter's tape still in place, I stamped the greenery and flowers in Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, and Tropical Teal. The sentiment was stamped in True Black. STAMPS: Gathered Garden INK: Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal, True Black PAPER: Stamper's Select White *** For this card I used the new Cornered Dies, along with Forget Me Not stamps and Grand Botanical Dies. The background is Soft Stone. For the Cornered Die, I cut it out with Stamper's Select White card stock, but left all of the pieces in. I then colored those with a light pink Copic marker to match the flowers. I glued this down, but left the top loose so I could stick the flowers and leaves in along the top edge. I added a few tiny white dots with acrylic paint. STAMPS: Forget Me Not DIES: Cornered, Forget Me Not, Grand Botanicals INK: Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, Soft Stone, Spring Moss PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Soft Stone OTHER: Copic markers *** This card uses the new Latin Motifs stamp set along with Outlined. I just randomly stamped the flowers and burst, stamped the outlined shape for the sentiment and then the sentient. I added a small line of Smokey Shadow card stock to the botton edge. I also added the small pink flowers from the Grand Botanical Dies. STAMPS: Latin Motifs, Outlined DIES: Grand Botanicals INK: Pale Peony, Fine Linen, Stormy Sea, True Black PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Smokey Shadow *** For this one, I used dies from the new Grand Botanical Dies and some of the greenery from Palm Prints. I first stamped the greenery from Palm Prints in the top right corner, then cut the dies out and adhered them. I stamped the sentiment from Keep It Simple: Retirement in Olive Twist. STAMPS: Keep It Simple: Retirement, Palm Prints DIES: Grand Botanicals INK: Olive Twist PAPER: Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, Prairie Grass, Antique Linen, White I hope that if you purchased any of these fun new products that this has give you a bit more inspiration to get them out and start playing! Hello! The first of the three cards I'm sharing today is my favorite because of that amazing sentiment. It was a digital freebie from Julee Tilman's blog after she closed the doors on Verve Stamps. 😭 Thanks, Julee, for all of your beautiful inspiration and for this gorgeous sentiment. Stampin' Up! 'Avant Garden' flowers - sentiment is from Julee Tilman (free digital) The next two cards are in the sympathy category, including one for the loss of a pet. sentiment - Papertrey Ink 'Words of Comfort' - My Favorite Things Die-namics 'Bold Greenery' die On the last card, can you see the tiny paw prints? They're stamped in a really light peachy pink, and I found a coordinating colored rhinestone to add near the sentiment. Papertrey Ink 'With Sympathy: Loss of a Pet' paw, 'Words of Comfort' sentiment Thanks so much for your visit today! God bless you!
Hello and welcome to the Release In Review post for the April Papertrey Ink Release! The new products you are seeing here will be available in the store at Papertrey Ink tonight, April 15th at 10:00 EST. Grab your favorite beverage and get all comfy, because I have a lot to share today! I always love the Release In Review post! I get to share all of the fun things I've made with the amazing new Papertrey Ink products! So first up is my card created with the new Bold & Beautiful Sentiments by Betsy Veldman. I love these! That font is so pretty! I paired my sentiment up with the Spring Woods stamp set, which I adore! I did a little sponging with some Aqua Mist ink for the background and added a strip of Green Parakeet striped paper along the bottom. STAMPS: Spring Woods, Bold & Beautiful Sentiments DIES: Spring Woods, Bold & Beautiful Sentiments INKS: Sweet Blush, Spring Moss, Classic Kraft, Dark Brown, Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Green Parakeet + White *** I did a little something different with this card. As I was cutting stuff out getting it ready to stamp on, I kept looking at it laying there, and thought it looked so pretty, just the die cuts, so I skipped the stamping altogether!. Now the stamps in this set are gorgeous, so I plan on using them soon, but I really loved the way this looked. I sponged a little bit of ink on each of the die cuts, leaving them pretty light, then assembled my little jar of flowers. I used a strip of paper from the Ombre Stripes paper pack and the sentiment is from the Bold & Beautiful Sentiments set. I added a few Marshmallow PPP sequins to finish it up. STAMPS: Friendship Jar Flowers, Bold & Beautiful Sentiments, Friendship Jar DIES: Friendship Jar Flowers, Bold & Beautiful Sentiments, Friendship Jar, Just The Jar: Pint INKS: Spring Moss, Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush, Amethyst Allure, Spring Rain PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Ombre Stripes Paper Pack *** I just love Betsy's Paper Clippings line! The Thank you so much is the newest one in the series and it's so pretty! For my card, I watercolored a piece of watercolor paper with Peerless watercolors, kind of half way paying attention to the die so that my words would each have a different color that blended into each other. After it dried very well, I cut it out. I glued this down to my card base and then stamped some of the extra flowers leaves and the little birds to decorate around it. I added some tiny dots with my Copic markers and a few PPP sequins. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom with Royal Velvet ink. STAMPS: Paper Clippings: Thank You DIES: Paper Clippings: Thank You INKS: Green Parakeet, Lovely Lady, Spring Rain, Allure Amethyst, Summer Sunrise, Royal Velvet PAPER: Stamper’s Select White *** My next card features Betsy's new Inspired: Faith stamp set and dies. I thought the butterflies from the Color Pop Mini kit worked so perfectly! My background is watercolored, smooshed, and splattered. I did a little bit of everything on there :) Then I cut out three of the faith word dies and glued them down. I stamped the sentiment underneath and added the butterflies with foam tape. STAMPS: Inspired: Faith DIES: Inspired: Faith, Color Pop Butterflies INKS: True Black PAPER: Stamper’s Select white, Color Pop Butterflies Printed papers *** Next up is my card with Maile's new Splits: Get Well Soon stamp set along with Erin's Cover Plate: Delightful. I stamped the Get Well Soon sentiment and image and watercolored those first. I just couldn't wait to watercolor that stormy sky underneath! I then mounted this onto my card base and added the pieces of the Delightful Frame. The outside part is cut out of Soft Stone and the inside piece is Stamper's Select White card stock. STAMPS: Splits: Get Well Soon DIES: Cover Plate: Delightful INKS: Waterproof Black PAPER: Stamper’s Select White and Watercolor Paper *** And then there are these darling little school kids from Betsy's Paper Doll series! Aren't they cute in their school uniforms? I colored them with Copic markers and adhered them to a card base covered with one of the papers from the Petite Places paper pack. Was that perfect or what?? I love this card, but I have no idea what I'll do with it, since I homeschool our two kids. I might save it for my niece. She's finishing up her internship right now to become a teacher in the fall. Surely she'll need thanking at some point :) STAMPS: Dress Up Dolls: Basics, Dress Up Dolls: School Days DIES: Dress Up Dolls: Basics, Dress Up Dolls: School Days INKS: True Black PAPER: Stamper’s Select white, Petite Places Patterned Paper Pack *** Do you just love Maile's new Succulents set?? Oh I do! Succulents are so trendy right now, but I don't think I've seen a stamp set that I love as much as this one! They have such an artsy graphic look to them and I just love this set! The fonts are really unique and fun too! I had to add a few flowers from Paper Clippings: Thank you set. It's hard for me not to do flowers.... I used a strip of the paper from the Super Succulents paper pack along the bottom, and then a piece of the frame from Erin's Cover Plate: Delightful cut out of Soft Stone card stock on top of that. STAMPS: Super Succulents, Paper Clippings: Thank You DIES: Super Succulents, Cover Plate: Delightful, Paper Clippings: Thank You INKS: True Black, Amethyst Allure, Spring Rain, Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist, Spring Moss PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, Soft Stone, Super Succulent Paper Pack *** And then there is Father's Day.... and I couldn't make Lizzie's cute hamburger fit with the new Father's Day die, so what to do.... I started searching through my PTI stash and saw the Winter Woods set! I thought that would be perfect to go with the new Shaped Sayings: Father's Day die! I think it turned out quite lovely for a masculine card. The background is Evergreen Bough and Peacock Feather's Distress ink blended onto watercolor paper and splattered with water. The die cut has been layered three times for dimension and the bird and greenery were adhered with foam tape. STAMPS: Winter Woods DIES: Winter Woods, Shaped Sayings: Father’s Day INKS: Dark Chocolate, Pinefeather, New Leaf, Stormy Sea, Smokey Shadow, PAPER: Stamper’s Select White *** So this wraps up yet another nothing less than amazing release from Papertrey Ink. I don't know how they do it month after month!! These lovely products and more will be available for sale at Papertrey Ink tonight, April 15th, at 10:00 EST! Hello again! I had a chance this evening to edit some card photos, and I've got a long line of pics to share today. Some are simple, some are fancier, some make good use of scraps. ;-) I hope you enjoy! Thanks so much for joining me today! Happy Thanksgiving once again!

Hi friends! Thought I would play along with the Papertrey Ink blog hop this month! The inspiration photo really caught my eye! I have been having a love affair with black, white, red and green ever since Christmas, so this one was very appealing to me! That said, it's kind of hard for me to work with a black background when I'm so used to my beloved white space, so this was a challenge! It's also a little harder to get good photos of black backgrounds, but I did my best :) For this one, I used the Sentiment Splits: Angle Vertical Die, and stamped the sentiment from Keep It Simple: Birthday ll. The greenery is from Friendship Jar Flowers, and the flowers from Garden Garland. The small white flowers are from Paper Clippings: Happy Day. I also added some tiny white dots with acrylic paint and some sparkly dots with Stickles. I'm not usually one for glitter, but I kind of like these. STAMPS: Keep it Simple: Birthday DIES: Sentiment Splits: Angle Vertical Die, Paper Clippings: Happy Day, Friendship Jar Flowers, Garden Garland PAPER: Simply Chartreuse, True Black, Pure Poppy, Pale Peony, White *** For this one, I used the same flowers and leaves dies, but added the Big Basics: Love you sentient to the center. I also used New Leaf for the green instead of Simply Chartreuse, and I'm trying to decide which one I like better.... I added a few drops of Nevo Crystal Drops Gloss White. DIES: Big Basics: Love You, Paper Clippings: Happy Day, Friendship Jar Flowers, Garden Garland PAPER: New Leaf, True Black, Pure Poppy, Pale Peony, White *** Thanks so much for stopping by! If you want to participate in the hop or just see all of the pretty inspiration you can check out all of the details on Nichole's Blog! Hugs, Kay :)
Hello everyone! I pulled out some spring flowers, inspired to play along with the Create Along With Us Challenge at PTI. Made my card and alas, missed the chance to share it there. So I'm hopping in to share it as part of the Transformation Tuesday challenge. I hope it's OK with the challenge hosts to make a second card with the leftover part of a first card. It does transform the card layout! Here's the first card made with the PTI Seasonal Borders Spring stamps and dies, and Penned Elegance. For the second card, I incorporated the die cut circle from the first card, and added a sentiment from Bold Basics. I used a new to me technique called Floating Die Cut Frames that Jennifer shared on her blog last week, find her great tutorial HERE. You can get an idea of how the die cut pieces fit together to make a raised panel on the card with the help of Press N Seal to lay it out. Keeping this short today but I must say it feels good to see bright spring colors and flowers here on the page! It's also good to have two encouragement cards ready to go. Thanks so much for stopping in. Have a great day! I don't tell you often enough how much you encourage me. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas holiday. Be yourself Delight in your craft Make something beautiful! Inks used : PTI - Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides and Simply Chartreuse. WPlus9 - Queen Bee.

Hello and welcome to the first group post for the August Papertrey Ink Release! The new products you are seeing here will be available in the store at Papertrey Ink on September 15th at 10:00 EST. Today we have some amazingly beautiful new products to share with you! We have a beautiful set called Christmas Faith by Heather, A stunning sentiment set by Dawn called A Thrill of Hope, the latest in the Inspired series by Betsy called Inspired: Jesus, and Shine, a fun and unique new set from Nichole! We also have a brand new color coming out this month called Olive Twist! I love it! It's a beautiful olive green and it's gorgeous paired with Scarlet Jewel! That's what I used for all of my cards today! Dawn is absolutely amazing at putting fonts together in a most fabulous way! When I saw this new set, it was love at first sight! I used the MISTI to stamp the sentiment in two shades, Olive Twist and Scarlet Jewel. The beautiful border across the top is from the Holiday Greens Border set. The berries and pine at the bottom corner are from the Holiday Greens set. Everything on this card is stamped in only two colors, Olive Twist and Scarlet Jewel. I just love these two colors together! For the pine border across the top, I stamped the border once, then without re-inking my stamp, moved it just a little lower and stamped again. I love the way it gives it a more fuller look. After I finished stamping, I cut my panel out with the Noted: Scalloped A2 rectangle die and mounted that onto a card base with fun foam. STAMPS: A Thrill Of Hope, Holiday Greens, Holiday Greens Borders DIES: Holiday Greens Borders, Holiday Greens, Noted: Scalloped A2 INK: Olive Twist, Scarlet Jewel PAPER: Stamper’s Select White OTHER: Clear Sequins *** I just love the way this card turned out! I stamped some of the pine from Holiday Greens onto my white background. I stamped some without reinking like I did in the card above to give the lighter shade. The sentiment is layered four times. The top layer I blended some Scarlet Jewel ink onto. I glued this flat over the stamped pine. I added the sentiment stamped onto the banner from Tag Sale #10, then tucked the pinecones and berries under the edge. The pinecones are the only thing that I used foam tape with. I added a few clear sequins to finish it up! STAMPS: Inspired: Jesus, Holiday Greens DIES: Inspired: Jesus, Holiday Greens, Tag Sale #10 INK: Olive Twist, Scarlet Jewel, Cocoa Bean, True Black PAPER: Stamper’s Select White OTHER: Clear Sequins *** Okay this was a really fun card to make! I love doing these kinds! Betsy did a Make it Monday video a while back using this technique of stamping around like this and I loved it! I made several after seeing her video, and have been wanting to do more since. When I saw this new kit from Heather, I immediately thought how perfect it would be for this technique! I started by stamping two of the sun rays from the Shine stamp set. I stamped one above and one below. This kept me from having to draw any pencil lines. I was able to use this as my grid for stamping all of the other little details. I did this all by eye too! No MISTI here people! And it was actually really easy, not to mention way too fun! I used the same colors Olive Twist and Scarlet Jewel as my other cards, but added some Simply Chartreuse and Cocoa Bean too. I stamped the sentiment onto the banner from Tag Sale #10 and adhered that with foam tape. I added a strip of paper along the bottom from the Americana + white paper collection. STAMPS: Shine, Christmas Faith DIES: Tag Sale #10 INK: Olive Twist, Scarlet Jewel, Dark Chocolate, Saffron Spice, Simply Chartreuse PAPER: Stamper’s Select White, American + White Patterned Paper *** I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the new products in use today! Hello and welcome to my Release in Review post for the July Papertrey Ink Release! It's always my favorite! The new products you are seeing here will be available in the store at Papertrey Ink on TONIGHT at 10:00 EST. So here we go! I'm going to start off here with my favorite one! I don't know what it is about this card, but I just love it! I'm not sure if this is my very favorite of Betsy's Paper Clippings, or if it's the colors I used on this one, or what... but I love the way it turned out! I cut out two of the Paper Clippings: Done with Love out of white card stock and layered them onto a Soft Stone card base. I then stamped and cut out all of the little flowers and leaves with the stamps and the Paper Clippings: Details dies, and added them to the cut out. Really a simple card to make, but so fun! I would love to make another in some other color combinations! STAMPS: Paper Clippings: Done In Love DIES: Paper Clippings: Done In Love, Paper Clippings: Done In Love Details INK: Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst, Amethyst Allure, Royal Velvet, Lavender Moon, Simply Chartreuse, Spring Moss, Pale Peony PAPER: Stampers Select White, Soft Stone OTHER: Sequins *** Next up is this little cutie in her rain suit! This is the newest addition to Betsy's Dress Up Dolls series. So cute! I thought this paper from the Petite Places paper collection was the perfect background! She is colored with Copic markers and adhered with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment directly on the background paper. I said a prayer first, because you know how that can go! :D STAMPS: Dress Up Dolls: Basics, Dress Up Dolls: Rainy Day DIES: Dress Up Dolls: Basics, Dress Up Dolls: Rainy Day INK: True Black PAPER: Stampers Select White, Petite Places Paper Collection OTHER: Sequins *** This card is using Dawn's new Just a Number set along with some greenery from Maile's Tropics and the flowers from Betsy's Paper Clippings: Done with Love. Dawn is a genius when it comes to arranging fonts in the neatest ways! I love this new set! The happy part, I stamped with the MISTI using Pale Peony and Raspberry Fizz. I love the ombre effect! I also added a strip of Green Parakeet striped paper along the bottom. STAMPS: Just A Number, Tropics, Paper Clippings: Done In Love DIES: Just A Number, Tropics, Paper Clippings: Done In Love Details INK: Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst, New Leaf, Green Parakeet, Scarlet Jewel, Summer Sunrise, Pale Peony PAPER: Stampers Select white, Green Parakeet + White paper pack OTHER: sequins *** On this card I used Dawn's new It's The Thought sentiment set along with the flowers from the Painted Petals Anniversary set. The paper is from The Floral Sketches paper pack. I added a few white dots with some acrylic paint and a stylus. STAMPS: It’s The Thought, Painted Petals DIES: It’s The Thought, Painted Petals INK: Berry Sorbet, Pure Poppy, Sweet Blush, Harvest Gold, Spring Moss PAPER: Stampers Select white, Floral Sketches paper pack OTHER: White acrylic paint for the white dots *** This one is using Lizzie's new Background Basics: Galaxy and Number The Stars. These are some fun new products! I stamped the background with Versa Mark and embossed it with white embossing powder. I then watercolored over it with Peerless watercolors. I added the flourish and popped the sentiment flag up with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment with the MISTI using Amethyst Allure and Royal Velvet. I added a few die cut stars and sequins as well. STAMPS: Background Basics: Galaxy, Number The Stars, Fancy Flourishes DIES: Number The Stars, Fancy Flourishes, INK: Amethyst Allure, Royal Velvet PAPER: Stampers Select White OTHER: Watercolor Paper, Peerless watercolors, white embossing powder, sequins *** Another super fun product from Lizzie is the Star Box Die! This was one of those things I looked at and thought... what? But when I cut it out and scored all of the lines, it just went right into the little star box shape all by itself! Easy peasy and oh so cute! I created a little tag for my box with the Just a Number set. I layered two tags on top of one of the tags from Keep It Simple Frames. I tied this onto my box with some silver thread, and then added a little flower and some leaves from Paper Clippings: Done With Love. STAMPS: Number The Stars, Background Basics: Galaxy, Paper Clippings: Done With Love DIES: Number The Stars, Paper Clippings Done With Love, Keep It Simple Frames INK: Hawaiian Shores, Green Parakeet, Summer Sunrise, Amethyst Allure, Royal Velvet PAPER: Amethyst Allure + White paper pack, Stampers Select white OTHER: Silver thread *** I really loved the way the background turned out on my galaxy card, so I made another and thought it would work perfectly for Betsy's Inspired: Prayer set. As I was making this I couldn't help but think it looked kind of like water washing up on the beach. I know, water is not blue and purple with stars in it, but it just reminded me of it, so I got my Simple Seashells by Nichole out and added a couple of those. I like it :) STAMPS: Inspired: Prayer, Simple Seashells, Background Basics: Galaxy DIES: Inspired: Prayer, Simple Seashells INK: Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Amethyst Allure, Royal Velvet, True Black PAPER: Stampers Select White, OTHER: Watercolor Paper, white embossing powder *** And last, but definitely not least, is a cute little Christmas card I made with Maile's newest Splits:Best Wishes. The minute I saw it, I knew I was going to make a Christmas card with it. The little leaves and berries spoke Christmas to me. It works doesn't it! I added a piece of paper from the Ombre Stripes paper pack for my background, layered the chevron strip from Happy Notes, a snowflake from Snowflake Flurries, and topped it off with a flower from Cup of Cheer! Welcome to Throwback Thursday! Today, Laurie Schmidlin is revisiting Meadow Greens stamp set. "I love leaves and greenery stamps! That is probably why I love Meadow Greens so very much! There is something so timeless and comforting about this set that draws me in every time. Using several
Wow this week is flying! I can't believe it's Thursday already! Are you getting ready for the weekend? No big plans here. DH will be working on some car repairs. I might pop over to my folks house with Miss Moriko. We've been cooped up too long. I miss walking. I don't mind the cold, its the fact that most people don't shovel their walks. I want to get a little exercise, not break a leg. And if I walk in the street the salt hurts Moriko's feet. I suppose that's one of the things I like about crafting. It keeps my mind busy and I'm surrounded by beautiful things. The inspiration at Fusion Card Challenge is gorgeous this time! This one is called "Pretty In Pink". I picked up on the pretty colors and texture of the pillows. I embossed the pretty flower with white embossing powder on pink paper. You can't go wrong with lots of pretty die cuts as accents. It's still me here.. so a splash of gold (I need my bling) does my heart good. A few gold foil die cut fronds, and some gold enamel dots. They look like shiny water drops! One more photo - just because this one is so pretty!! LOL! I added some Twinery Blossom twine across the bottom - this is my favorite way of tying it lately - three rows with the bow in the center. It still amazes me that when I started making cards I thought this top fold style was weird. All my older cards have a side fold. Now it's just about all I use - and so easy to wrap that twine around the entire front flap of the card. If you ever want a laugh - go to my "archive" and look at "the beginning". I loved a recent card by Virginia Lu where she cut the shapes in One WIth Nature to create a colorful forest. I have blatantly copied her idea with this card, and I'm quite happy with the result. Also adding to SSS Flicker Challenge #24
It is time to continue the most wonderful paper crafting time of year with even more incredible new holiday products from Papertrey Ink! We have a little something for everyone, no matter your style t
Happy New Year Friends! I hope you had a blessed Christmas season with friends and family. I sure did! Now I've been producing Thank you notes for the lovely things I was given this year. (well I guess that would be last year now!) When I first heard of OMS, (a long time ago...) I gave it a try. I never really got the hang of using those prismsma color pencils, and although I still have them, I prefer a watercolor approach. For my take on this challenge, I have two similar cards, one without the added color, and the other with. I like them both, but you sure can tell the effect the shading adds! Without... And now with... As you can see, the second pops a little more! Maybe someday I'll invest in OMS again, because Laurie sure made it look easy! Thanks for looking! Luanne
Good morning! It's been quiet around here! We really enjoyed Christmas break, some down time, and just hanging out. I hope you all did too! But I'm back at it and today we're kicking off the January countdown over at...

Hi! Now technically I don't consider this a one-layer card, but since Erin is being relaxed about the rules, I will too! The new Make It Monday is about using color and texture to add interest to one-layer cards. You could totally make this a one-layer card design and I would have too, except the piece of paper I started stamping on was not large enough to become a card all on its own. I would have loved for the leaves to continue part way down the back too! Perhaps I'll make that card today! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Cardstock: PTI White, Ripe Avocado Stamps: PTI Leave It Be, Iconic Images Ink: PTI Limeade Ice, Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado, Simply Chartreuse
This card is for the PTI Anniversary – Color Challenge. I used Heather’s color scheme: Those colors really worked well for what I was going for, which is inspired by Amy’s awesome…

Hello, friends! It's the final day of the August Papertrey Ink Release Countdown. YAY! I'm so happy that you stopped in for a visit. My final card for this release features the new Forest Floor: Autumn Stamp Set and Die Collection. **All products will be available August 15th at 10pm EST!** There's nothing quite like a crisp white background stamped with lots of colorful images! :) For my final card I stamped one of the leave images in Pure Poppy, Vintage Jadeite, Pale Peony and Bright Buttercup. I then went over each one with the vein image (is that what it's called?) in black ink. I used the frame in the die collection to die-cut the base for my sentiment. To give it a little dimension I added dimensional foam underneath before adhering it to the front of my card. And lastly, sequins were added to give it a little sparkle! Thank you so much for visiting with me over these past five days and for all of your kind comments. I truly appreciate it. And now for more inspiration using this new set, as well as a few other new products, be sure to visit the Papertrey Ink Blog! Have a wonderful day! **Not yet linked, but will be available August 15th at 10pm EST … Forest Floor: Autumn**
