Hello friends! I have a new 6x6 paper pad tutorial to share. I'm using the No Prob Llama paper collection from DCWV. I actually bought the 6x6 as sort of a joke. When my daughter was younger, one of her favorite books was Is Your Mama a Llama? I would read it to her all the
Good morning all! Today I am sharing a collection of 12, yes, 12 different Halloween cards that were made with a few sheets of cardstock from DCWV's new Spooky Halloween stack. All of the 3"x4" image panels on the cards were cut from one sheet of paper. The background panels were cut from 2 sheets of paper. They are double sided, so I had 4 patterns to choose from to compliment the image panels. So all of these card only used 3 sheets of 12x12 cardstock from that stack! I die cut rectangles out of black cardstock to matte some of the image panels, but others I left by themselves. I popped the image panels up with fun foam. For embellishments, I kept it very simple, only adding dots of Nuvo Drops, Stickles, Pearl Pen or sequins. These were really fun to create and extremely quick too! Here is a flip through video of the DCWV Spooky Halloween stack. I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
Hi Everybody, I hope the days have been treating you all well and that the weather has been even better. The rain has stopped for awhile here in OR and the sunny is shining bright!! Whoo Hoo!! And the weather is a great way to introduce this card to you. I adore the Mariposa paper by DCWV. It is so exquisite and produces the most beautiful projects. I couldn't post this card any sooner than now because I had to wait until my Mom received it. I didn't want to spoil it for her. I don't usually enter challenges or giveaways but I was encouraged to enter this into a June challenge going on at Mema's Crafts and I thought to myself, "Self, why not?" So I am entering this into the June Challenge - Just Words at Mema's Crafts. Well that's all for right now but I will be back with another project to share with you all. I want to thank all of my followers, new and old, for joining me as I take this creative journey!! The future has so many wonderful things in store for us and I can't wait to share my experiences with you. Thanks so much for stopping by and I will see you all in the next one. Until next time.. I have a couple nephews who love bugs, so I made this card for them. The papers I used are from DCWV's Boyhood stack and I added GMD ant die cuts and lime sequins. For the tag, I used a Kraft Tag-It, Chocolate Truffle and Limeade Trendy Twines. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamp's Boy Talk set and it was stamped with Ranger Dye Ink in Java Bean. I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
Hiya crafty folks! Happy Monday to you. i don't know about *your* neck o' the woods, but Autumn has arrive here in the Mid-Atlantic region of the States. Along with this blissful season comes fruit flies. *sigh* But we won't talk about that... This week the Beary Scrap design team is sharing samples using our new theme challenge "Happy Fall Y'All!" We're adding a little extra challenge to use buttons on our projects. I'm not a button user, I'm a button hoarder. I love vintage buttons and managed to force myself to use three vintage glass beauties. The paper is Authentique's Blissful 6x6 layered on Bazzill Basics orange and ivory. The vintage image is printed on textured paper and enhanced with Glossy Accents on the wording and Rock Candy Distress Stickles on a bit of the pumpkin. Sorry it's not easily seen in these photos; the sun was setting and working against me. The black rhinestone swirl (ooh, could that be a kitty tail?) is Prima Say it in Crystals Black. Luckily for my vintage button fetish, I have three cards of these black beauties. : ) Thanks for visiting today. I hope you get a chance to enter our Fall-themed challenge before September 30th. There's plenty of time to play with us! Cheers, Susan

Happy Friday! We have made it through another week. Whew! Today I am sharing a card that I made...just because. I rarely do that, create just to create. It felt great! I was inspired by the DCWV Watercolor Garden stack. I love the bright colors and fun prints it contains. Additional products used include GMD stitched rectangle die, Sunny Studio hexagon dies, MME The Sweetest Thing Honey "Happiness" stamps, Ranger Java Bean ink, and gold thread. Adhesives used are foam tape, ATG and Lineco Adhesive in a precision tip bottle Here is the sketch I followed from DCWV's Facebook page: If you want to join in the fun, submissions are due by midnight on January 16th. Create a card using the above sketch and DCWV papers, then email a photo to [email protected].
Hello crafty friends, Hope your weekend was a great one. Over the weekend, I worked on this fun card I am sharing with you. So let’s get started. To create this card I used one of the newer DCWV Stacks called the Sweater Weather Stack. The patterned paper and the main sentiment are from this stack. I created a video showing you how I created this card. You Tube Video Link http://youtu.be/xwRvOJDNqGU Closer look at the embossed layer. I used a Darice embossing folder. Darice Fall Background. Closer look at the cute little gold sequins from CTMH. I added them to the pre-printed sentiment that came in the DCWV Sweater Weather stack. Closer look at the leaves. They are the Fall Harvest stamp set from CTMH. I created matching SVGcut files for them. I stamped the die cuts with my stamp and then used different inks to give them color. You can watch my video on this technique. Here’s a closer look at the other stamps. I also created the matching border on my card. This is a look at the inside of the card. The dark paper I used is also from the stack. It has a nice pattern to it, you just can’t see it in the photo too well. Here’s one last look at the finished card. I can't believe it's a whole week since I packed up my bags, jumped in the car and headed across to Peterborough. After a wonderful week in the life of Create and Craft TV, 19 fabulous shows, nearly 60 demonstrations I arrived back home late last night to see the munchkins and open all my birthday cards and presents. Huge thanks to everyone who tuned into the shows, sent in e mails, I know we didn't get to read all of them out but we did read them off air. Lovely comments and great feedback on the shows too so hue thanks for those too. Here's the link to the last of our shows, and the fabulous DCWV paper stacks at Create and Craft http://www.createandcraft.tv/ShowGridView.aspx?showId=2478556 I was really good over the week and tucked into M & S salads and lo fat puds every day, with the exception of Sunday when I pushed the boat out and dined on a KFC washed down with a couple of glasses of Chardonnay lol!! My lovely scales tell me this morning that I've lost over half a stone. Whooooo hoooo. Before I packed up and left the studio I managed to take some pics of the last three cards we made (we being Dave and I) catch a quick pick of Dave who'd ran over to the Singer set with a minute to spare before going live again and Ben our lovely floor manager for the show who supplied me with oodles of cups of water and Rebecca who'd come to collect the cards with their very own cup of chance. Can't wait to go back and share more paper inspiration with you all again soon. Have a great day and look forward to catching up again soon :-) Cx www.mycreativepsirit.co.uk

May 29, 2016 HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY weekend! I hope we all stop and remember the sacrifices made by so many for all of us to enjoy freedom in the United States! It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players! My dear friend JoAnne, from across the pond is the hostess this week. She has a FUN Tic-Tac-Toe board for us to play along with. There are so many possibilities and we can't wait to see what you create. I am also playing along with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches! I love this challenge and rarely get to join them. I am so happy it worked out this week to combine my card for both challenges. My card is created on a white card base. The Large Polka Dot embossing folder was used on a piece of Lucky Limeade card stock. I love this color! It is a retired color from Stampin' Up! that I hoarded. I thought it was perfect for my background. I used the Clearly Besotted Super Cool stamp set and Dies to create the ice cream cones. I stamped the cone in Baked Brown Sugar and the ice cream in Lucky Limeade and Real Red. The sentiment was stamped in black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I also used a circle die to cut a Real Red circle and embossed it with the Decorative Dots embossing folder by Stampin' Up! Wink of Stella was added to the ice cream for sparkle and shine. White enamel dots were added for fun. My card uses the diagonal on the board--embossing, die cuts and birthday! So happy you stopped by my blog today! Please leave a message! I love to hear from you! Hello all! Welcome to the new year! With that comes a brand new DCWV Stackaholic Challenge. You know you want to join in, right? Here is the card that I created with this month's sketch. I used the stunning papers from DCWV's Boho Style stack (available at A.C. Moore stores). I used quite a bit of creative license with the sketch, but that is what inspiration is all about! I used stitched rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs for some of the layers. That gorgeous metallic copper doily was simply fussy cut from one of the Boho Style papers! Here is the card sketch that I was inspired by: And here is the layout sketch for this month... So get those DCWV papers out and get creating! Let your imagination run wild. I can't wait to see what you all create! You have until the end of the month to participate. Stop by the DCWV blog for more details. If you want a closer look at the papers in the Boho Style stack, check out my flip through video here: I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
Hello Everyone!! Today I'm on DCWV blog sharing few projects using the new stacks. First one is for my favorite season ...Fall. I used the gorgeous DCWV-Harvest House stack . Love, love, love the fabulous gold foil prints and colors of this stack!!! I made a mini hoop art... Its a 3" hoop and I used 6x6 pad for it. I did a bit of fussy cutting today, the trimmed few foiled leaves from the paper pad and also added few diecut leaves. I made the tag by trimming the printed sentiment. Here is a quick& easy card to go with the gift. I cut the 6x6 paper to fit the card front and wrapped some May arts Jute twine...easy ,peasy!!! I have one more project to share....perfect for this month! Its a Halloween card.. The fabulous papers are from the new Spooky Delight stack . I used this month's Stack-a-holic card sketch for this card. Both the stacks I used today are available at JoAnn Stores. Hope you liked these projects!!! Thanks for stopping by.. Happy Crafting!!

Good morning crafty friends, I wanted to share a card I created using the beautiful DCWV Butterfly Garden Stack paper. I also used several cut files from the Pazzles Craft Room to create this pretty card. Here is a view of the card closed. It is the Gate Fold Card from the Pazzles Craft Room Fun Folds Card Set. The center floral medallion is a doily cut file and a flower cut file from the craft room. As you can see I just layered and sized the “flower” so that it had 12 layers. I lightly inked the edges of each layer with my Chocolate Ink and then staggered them. I added a pearl gem to the center. On the doily I simply added some White Opal Liquid Pearls for some more visual interest. Here is a view of the card with the belly band off and opened. The center is a scalloped flap and the sides are decorated with the deco flourish from the Pazzles Craft Room. This is a view of the center fold with the flap opened. I added in a beautiful Quick Quotes Vellum sentiment. I didn’t want to cover up the pretty design on the paper. I also cut it so that the design of the paper would more or less remain in tact. You can follow the floral stem up from the bottom center to the top center as well as the floral sprig. The picture doesn’t show that the paper is a really light pink with a deep chocolate print. It isn’t black and pink. So I inked the edges of the paper with my Chocolate Ink Pad. The center sentiment area is left blank. This card is for this month’s IFTL recipients so they need to be blank. Here is a closer look at one of the side panels with the deco element cut file. I added a pearl in the center. I used some Maltball Bazzill Smoothie cardstock and it cut like butter. Here is a closer view of the QQ vellum quote. This mini album uses the vertical paper bag tutorial from youtube.com. It has serious photo storage capacity! You just need 6 paper bags, a piece of chipboard and the stack the deck binding method for this mini. I used the DCWV Timeless Stack for the design and incorporated some cardstock tags, designed by Jackie Burns, using the Cameo cutting machine. Each page set has at least one flap. I used Tim Holtz tape, a library pocket, a Jolee watch sticker, and a few other items from my stash for the embellishing. Here are just a few of the pages to give you an idea of how this works up. I love the waterfall photo feature on the inside of the back page. As always, thanks for looking.
Today is such a great day! College football is in full swing, the US Open (tennis) is on all day long, and the weather was perfect. What could make it even better? Brand. New. Lawn. Fawn. I made two cards with "Monster Mash" because I just needed to play :) They make such a cute couple, don't they? I colored the monsters with Copic markers and fussy cut them and the sentiment. I used my Silhouette to cut the large spider web from DCWV "Eek a Boo" paper, and the green and black cardstock is from DCWV "Bewitched" stack. I love how that bubble embossing folder looks with anything monster themed :) I added some small splatters of Color Shine in green and purple. For my next card, I had this idea of little monsters peeking out of their haunted house windows and saying hi to each other. They are friendly monsters after all. I die cut random squares and fit all the monsters how I wanted inside each window. Then I backed the whole panel with spider web pattern paper from DCWV "Eek a Boo". Each monster was colored with Copics and fussy cut. I cut up the sentiment to spread it across the entire card. The moon and the sentiments are from Lawn Fawn's new "Spooktacular" set. Have a safe, fun, and crafty Labor Day weekend! I'm linking up this post to Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday party! <3 Rachel
Welcome to another monthly Stackaholic Challenge from DCWV! I really love how amazing the sketches have been lately. They are so inspirational and you have all month long to create with them. Here is what I created using our card sketch. I used papers from DCWV's Copper Luxury stack and Whites Special Materials stack. I used a scalloped stitched nested rectangle die, stitched rectangle die and lacey doily die, all from Gina Marie Designs. A tutorial for the double pleated fold technique behind the fussy cut elements can be found HERE. The measurements for the folded paper differ from the video because of the smaller size. Here are the measurements for this card: Cut paper 3" tall x 5" wide. Score at .5, .75, 1.25, 1.5, 2, 2.25, 2.75, 3, 3.5, 3.75, 4.25, 4.5 Make pencil marks at 2.25" and 2.75 on the long sides and 1.25" and 1.75" on the short sides. Continue with the video for the rest of the double pleated fold technique! I added a double bow of Totally White Trendy Twine and a stamped sentiment to finish off the card. Here are this month's sketches! This is the card sketch I used. And here is the layout sketch. Want to get a chance to win some DCWV paper? Get out your DCWV papers and follow along with these sketches. The details are on the DCWV Facebook page. You have all month to create! Good luck! I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
Happy Thursday crafty friends, I hope you are having a wonderful day so far. Before I get to my project, here is today’s Psalm 119 passage for those that are following along with me. ק Qoph 145 I cry out with my whole heart; Hear me, O Lord! I will keep Your statutes. 146 I cry out to You; Save me, and I will keep Your testimonies. 147 I rise before the dawning of the morning, And cry for help; I hope in Your word. 148 My eyes are awake through the night watches, That I may meditate on Your word. 149 Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness; O Lord, revive me according to Your justice. 150 They draw near who follow after wickedness; They are far from Your law. 151 You are near, O Lord, And all Your commandments are truth. 152 Concerning Your testimonies, I have known of old that You have founded them forever. Psalm 119:145-152 I hope the thought of an ever present Lord will bring you comfort and continued hope for all that you and or a loved one you know may be facing. Now for today’s project. Here is my completed card, closed. I created this pretty card with a file from PaperCraftingWorld.com. It opens in the center. Card Center Circle Double Fold I began with a Kraft cardstock base. I then cut the outer panels in a pink cardstock and then cut the inner panels in some beautiful paper from the DCWV Dear Jane Stack. Here is an inside-opened view of the card. I once again cut the outer panels in pink cardstock and then cut the inner panels with some more of that gorgeous paper. When creating the border strip for the front, I wanted to wrap it in ribbon so I had to make sure that the ribbon wrapped around both ends so that when the card was opened, it was finished on both sides. The weight of my button helped to keep it closed, but you could put a small bit of Velcro or us a repositionable glue dot to help hold it together when closed. I left it without a sentiment at the moment as I am not sure whether it will be a birthday card or a card for a wedding my son will be attending later this summer. This is a closer look at the pretty decorative wreath. I cut the wreath base out of kraft cardstock. I cut the tiny flowers out of white cardstock and then gently inked the edges of the petals with my Cotton Candy Ink pad. I adhered the flowers to the wreath and then used a piece of foam tape in the center to keep the cluster of three in place. I added some Petal Pink Liquid Pearls to the center of the flowers. I did also ink the edge of the white circle base and layered all of that onto a pink cardstock base. This is a closer look at the outside of the card closed. I cut the scalloped circle frame in white cardstock. I added some pretty dew drops from Robin’s Nest. TIP: However, they were a plain white dew drop and I wanted them to match the card a little better, so I colored them with my Copic Sketch Marker. I didn’t write down the color I used, but I think it was my R23. It ended up matching the color of the pink perfectly. Coloring them in was a cinch. They dried very quickly and I applied a couple of coats.
