This was the first card I made with the set and I was CASE-ing myself when I created it, it also includes an alternate way to use the gold medallion included in the 2021 Bouquet of Hope Paper Pumpkin kit. ~Enjoy! I stamped the large bouquet with Merry Merlot on Basic White and layered it with pieces from the kit. I fussy cut the flower down a little to get some of the excess white off of it, then layered it on an oval piece of Basic White cut with retired Layering Oval Dies and ran both of those though my embossing machine with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder to give the focal a little more of a artwork feel. I cut apart the gold medallion & flipped it to the reverse side for the lacy border on the left. The sentiment is stamped with Mossy Meadow. I think it is simply charming! The fourth week of the month is Paper Pumpkin week for me & my P.P. Peeps. We gather (virtually these days) to create from our monthly Paper Pumpkin kits. We rarely follow the directions, we laugh a lot & just generally enjoy our like-minded joy of cardmaking. This month's kit is called Bouquet of Hope. It is intended to share messages of hope & encouragement with family & friends, As usual the kit is full of beautifully coordinated card bases, ink, stamps & embellishments with plenty of materials to make the 9 cards shown - or a dozen more if you care to think outside the box. Here are a few of the creations that I'll be sharing with the Peeps. These first cards highlight the stamp set with the kit. This gorgeous bouquet can be either coloured or heat embossed to bring out the detail of the sweet image. The kit coordinates with other Stampin' Up! products so this next card uses the Flower & Field DSP from the Sale-a-bration catty to trim this fun fold design. This last card uses the envelope liner as a background for a message of support. Paper Pumpkin is a wonderful way to build a supply of card making supplies with inspiration & instruction to guide you along. Here's a sneak peak at the March kit. Subscribe before March 10 to receive this kit that comes with a free gift inside! All my subscribers get free tutorials & classes every month. Click HERE to sign up & enjoy the benefits of the P.P. Peeps. A 3 month subscription will earn free products from the Sale-a-bration promotion ending February 28. Contact me with any questions or concerns & be sure to check the details in my online store. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers, Arlene

One of the cards I always want to have on hand are sympathy cards. No one ever wants to make one of these cards under pressure when you are overwhelmed by feelings of loss so I like to take a day and make a few each quarter just in case. I'm happy that my stash was full before this month's Paper Pumpkin but it has even more beautiful cards to express my love for those that may need these cards in the future. Paper Pumpkin is a kit in the mail that customers can subscribe to from Stampin' Up! It costs $22 plus tax (shipping included) and includes an exclusive photopolymer (clear) stamp set, a project with instructions and images, all the die cuts and pieces for the project, an ink spot, and adhesives. All you provide is your credit card number for monthly billing, oh, and some scissors. ;) The February kit was titled Bouquet of Hope. It included supplies to make 9 standard sized cards, three each of three different designs. These were two of the three cards that were included in the kit. The third card didn't really float my boat because I'm not a big fan of gold foil and I thought it was too focused on that image. But one of the services I provide to my subscribers are alternate ideas that will help them make use of all the supplies in the box. I came up with this design instead which features the gold doily as an accent instead of the focal point. After that, I was able to play around with my supplies as well as what was in the box to make these alternatives. You can emboss, add coordinating inks from past kits, cut up the card bases to make layers on cards, and so much more. I like to try and give a little something extra to my subscribers because I really believe that it's an easy way to have some self-care time while also knocking a future "to do" off your list with birthdays and other occasions. Besides a list of tips and tricks for the kit, this month my subscribers all received (or will shortly) 6 pieces of the Fields and Flowers DSP that is being offered during Sale-a-Bration. All the papers were cut at 4 x 6. Then I showed them in my monthly Paper Pumpkin Zoom session how to make the cuts on these cards using that paper. I was skeptical before I got my kit on how these papers would work but I'm just tickled pink with the results. And they are FAST to make. My two favorite tips with this kit - cut up th Next month's kit is always special because March is the anniversary of when Paper Pumpkin started 8 years ago (and also my birthday month!) The large bouquet from the 2021 Bouquet of Hope Paper Pumpkin kit read more wedding than sympathy, so I turned it into a quick & easy (and really pretty) Wedding card! ~Enjoy! I just added the bouquet and stamped a sentiment from my stash in Merry Merlot. Then ran the whole background piece through my embossing machine with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and layered that on another piece of Basic White card base. So pretty! February's Paper Pumpkin - Bouquet of Hope This is a quick alternative made with the addition of the Rectangle Dies, Itty Bitty Greetings and 3 pearls from a previous kit. This kit was designed to make 9 sized A2 cards with co-ordinating envelopes. Three cads of 3 designs. My card mixed the card base from one design with the die cut from another. Change it up any way you wish! Next month's kit (March - Here's To You) will include a set of 4 stencils. Looking forward to the creative ideas for this kit! For this card from the 2021 Bouquet of Hope Paper Pumpkin, I tried to use the included additional language stickers for Thinking of you, since I did not have a need for them. ~Enjoy! I love when I get white core paper in the Paper Pumpkin kits, it provides so many more opportunities! A paper can either be white on white side and a color on another - OR - it can be colored on both sides with a white center (like Stampin' Ups! DSP). What you can do with this paper is run it thru with an embossing folder & the take a fine git sandpaper & lightly scrape off the top leaving you with highlighted embossing as I have done here with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder and the Rococo Rose card base included in the kit. Then I took the black scripted Thinking of You stickers in German (the bottom one) and cut them apart so they created an abstract loopy border. The sentiment is stamped with Merry Merlot. The finishing touches are the black sequins from the kit and a know made from the Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon. Hello Crafter's Hope you are keeping safe and well. Thought I would show you some of the cards I have made so far using the latest Paper Pumpkin kit Bouquet Of Hope. I also used the designer series paper from Sale-A-Bration which my customers received when they pre -ordered their kits with me. You can make the cards that are in the kit or like me use the pieces to make alternatives. I have only used 3 of the cards and envelopes and some bits I have to make 14 cards. Would you like to order the Paper Pumpkin Bouquet of Hope, just click on this link and the first 10 people who order using this link will each receive a pack of 6 6x6inch Flower and Field designer series paper and some penalised doilies (that you can see in the photo above) as a thank you from me. Keep safe and well until next time.

It's time to hop along with the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities (aka PPP) February Blog Hop as we share alternative projects featuring the Bouquet of Hope Kit. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as they share their ideas to help you think outside the box with this beautiful Paper Pumpkin Kit. Today I have two different card designs to share with you. One uses products from the kit, including the floral image and sentiments from the exclusive stamp set while the other combines one of the designs from the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper (item #155223) with the Healing Hugs stamp set (item #148223) from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. This beautiful paper is a Level 1 Reward you can earn Free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration, which ends February 28th. It coordinates beautifully with this kit and offers a variety of designs to choose from. For the first card, I heat embossed the floral image from the stamp set with Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Merry Merlot cardstock and die cut it with the Layering Ovals Dies. I attached it to the Gold Foil doily from the kit and added it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I heat embossed the sentiment onto the label with Gold Embossing Powder and added it across the bottom of the oval with Stampin' Dimensionals. To embellish the card I added one of the small floral die cuts to the sentiment label and two of the small Black sequins. For the second card, I used a piece of Just Jade cardstock for the card base and added a layer of the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper for the card front. I added the large floral die cut from the kit to the top of the card front, at an angle, using Stampin' Dimensionals. For the sentiment, I used one of the images from the Healing Hugs stamp set, heat embossing it with Gold Embossing Powder onto the sentiment label from the kit. I added the Mossy Meadow Bakers twine to the back of the sentiment label, creating two big loops. I added it to the card front towards the bottom with Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish off the design, I added three of the Black sequins for a touch of bling. I love that the designer series paper gives this card design a more cheerful feel that is perfect for a Get Well card. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today.
