Keto Flex 12/3 Ketoflex 12/3 is the meal plan of choice for those wanting to adopt a healthy lifestyle of exercise and healthy weight loss with a focus on brain health. With brain disease on the rise in Australia now is the time to adopt a healthy life and prevent these diseases from taking hold. Keto refers to ketosis, the natural process by which your body breaks down stored and dietary fat to use as fuel. FLEX refers to metabolic flexibility, the ability to use either glucose or fat as a fuel source. FLEX also refers to a flexitarian diet, in which meat is optional. 12/3 refers to the minimum amount of time each day that you should spend fasting; For at least 12 hours between meals and at least 3 hours before bed. The example meal plan is meant to guide you on the types of meals you should be trying to eat, as you would notice I have not put quantities or amounts on any of the meals. I aim to give you a guide so that you learn to use your judgment, eat slowly and mindfully, and try to fill the majority of your calorie intake with fruit and vegetables. Organic where possible. All meats should be free-range, hormone-free grass-fed, or wild-caught.
