I just had to play a little more with the Heartfelt Blooms Sale-A-Bration set! This time I did some fussy cutting and partial fussy cutting. Partial fussy cutting is a good option if you don't like doing it, because you can still get the 3D look without as much work. You just use your Stampin' Trimmer to cut straight on three side sides, and on the fourth side you carefully cut with the trimmer up to the image. Then use Paper Snips to cut around the image, so it hangs off the edge. I did do some extra cutting by stamping the image again and fussy cutting just the main flower to pop up on dimensionals. I've had this Ruffled Dynamic TIEF for ages but haven't ever used it! That happens more than I care to admit. Anyhoo, I thought it would be a perfectly lovely background. Remember when using a Dynamic embossing folder to lightly spritz the cardstock with water (pat the excess off with a paper towel) before embossing. And only use one clear plate, not two! Hello, my stamping friend. Last week I saw a card created by BJ Peters. I loved the design and decided to CASE it for my Wine class in different color and few modifications. Later that week I was curious how the same Heartfelt Bloom image will look in different colors. Here is what I got: Of course, I did not try every color, just 8 that came to my mind. The layout is very simple and very economical (what I always love). You will not end up with scraps of paper and can easily mass produce and change the color. Measurements: Whisper White CS: 2 5/8 x 4 1/4" (you will get 8 from one sheet) Basic Gray (or other dark from Neutral family): 2 3/4 x 4 1/4" (you will get 8 from one sheet) Light CS (i used Lemon Lime twist, Powder Pink and Soft Sky): 3 5/8 x 4 1/4" (you get 6 from one sheet) Card base (any color): 8 1/2 x 4 1/4" I used Basic Gray ink for sentiment and flower is the same ink color as card base. Very easy. If you have few light layers, try to mix and match to see what will go best with your card base color. I'll go ahead and be honest with you. I took a beautiful color combo and went a little funky with it! I needed a fun birthday card for my downline, who just happens to be born in the 80s, so I decided to make a totally rad card using the color combo from Global Design Project and the sketch challenge at TGIF Challenges! I really like this Sale-a-Bration stamp set called Epic Celebrations. It's great for teenagers and even the music fans. I like the pop of black with the color combo so I added some Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon and some Basic Rhinestones (colored with a black sharpie). I also wanted to add some guitar strings with Basic Black Metalic Thread. I saw Cathy Caines make a similar guitar and I had to try it. Glue Dots were a great adhesive for these pesky little strings! For the inside, I used the other sentiment from the set and carried over the Tutti Frutti DSP and stamped Bermuda Bay cardstock. I also used more of the Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon.
