welcome to day four of the papertrey ink countdown to new stamps - and my favorite day this month because zappy birthday is part of the group post day today! so far i've shown you the stamps and matching dies,...
I used the fun new Simon Says Stamp Classic Bicycle die to make three cards...all simply made, with a slightly different look to the bicycles... This die is so stinkin' cute and fun!! The first one, I simply die cut the bike, left it all a light blue, and die cut the tires and left them white. I layered both the bike as well as the tires, and adhered to a card with a sentiment from the Vacation Time stamp set. I also used the Miss You Block die, die cutting in the same color as the bicycle, and layering! Here's a close up... The second one, I did the same as the first, except I colored the tires and spokes...the tires with a black mark it marker, the spokes and a few of the possible metal parts of the bike with my silver Prismacolor marker... I stamped the Simon Deco Diamonds stamp on the card for a background, and then used the Vacation Time stamp set, again, for the sentiments on my card. I did used a tiny brad on each of the back wheels, coloring this and the one below, to match the color of the bike. Here's a close up... The third one, I adhered strips of colored cardstock together on thinner cardstock and die cut for a rainbow colored bicycle... I thought the rainbow made for a beautiful bike(you know me and rainbows...I think they are amazing!!!!) and on this one, I left the spokes white, and simply colored the tires. I used sentiments from two older Simon stamp sets, that I thought perfectly spoke to my pretty bike!! Here's a close up... LOVE this cute little 3D bike...SO MUCH FUN!!!!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Welcome to my Blog - a place where you can learn how to make quick, cute cards using Stampin' Up! products!
I've spent the last 2 days working on this card, and while the front is sort of plain, I'm very happy with how the inside turned out. I needed a birthday card for a co-worker, and this Kenny K image was perfect, as it allowed me to do a more creative inside than usual. I'm submitting it to Kenny K's Birthday Challenge. For the outside, I printed and cut the image using my Silhouette, then coloured it with pencil crayons. For the blue and brown, I also used gamsol with blending sticks, to give it a more uniform look. I embossed the card with an oriental weave plate. The sentiment is a mix of Snell Roundhand (on my computer) and Cast Iron (downloaded from dafont). I printed it on tan paper and die cut it out using Spellbinder's Labels 18. I then attached both pieces to the card with pop dots. For the inside, I started with the idea that the box has now been opened and balloons are flying out of it. The box pop-up required two slits in the folded cardstock. I then added the box flaps (glueing a small panel inside to hold the flaps in place). The center balloon is rainbow honeycomb paper, which fans open with the card. The other balloons were stamped and coloured with markers. I added a few shiny sequins to add to the 'popping open' idea. The sentiment was also printed on my computer and cut out with a craft knife. I inked the edges a bit with tan die ink before attaching it to the card. The honeycomb paper makes the inside rather large, so it didn't fit all the way in the back of the card base, which means the card won't open beyond a certain point. I'll have to work on that on my next card as it does dampen the honeycomb effect if you can't open it all the way.

Hello Friends!! Can you believe that it’s time for the September Release Countdown already?!! Seriously, I swear these releases just get over and the next one is starting. Either that or time is just flying by this summer – I suspect it’s the latter. Anywho, I’m popping in today to share a project that I created featuring two of the new September Release products. The Friendly Raccoons Stamp Set and coordinating dies are featured prominently on this project, but there’s a product that you can’t see but has changed my crafty life! LOL The new Double Slider Loop Slots Die-Namics were used to make this card interactive. And you’ll see what I mean if you keep reading below. So I had a minor hand in designing the Double Slider Loop Slots Die-Namics, and I made a video showing you how they work! And this is just one way to use these dies! They truly have several different applications to make your cards interactive! You’ll find the link to the video over at the MFT Design Blog. And I listed and linked all of the products that I used below to create today’s project. In addition to the link to my video, you’ll also find links to the other fabulous projects that my teammates have created using today’s featured products from the September Release Countdown over at the MFT Design Blog! While you’re there, be sure to leave some love along the way for your chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique!! All of the new September products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM EDT! That’s it for me today, friends! I’ll be back again tomorrow with another September Release Countdown project, so I hope you’ll drop by again soon! Thanks so much for spending part of your day here with me! PRODUCTS USED:
