Since I started looking through the Trim Healthy Mama plan, one drink kept standing out to me. Good Girl Moonshine. The THM community sometimes calls it GGMS, and it's basically a sipper drink (meaning you can drink it any time) that contains ginger and apple cider vinegar. Many women replace soda with this! I had heard others mention a Hawaiian punch GGMS or fruit punch Good Girl Moonshine, but I could never find a recipe I really loved. I decided to make my own, with a tasty tropical twist. Not only that, but I make is VERY easy peasy. No

Quick and easy to make Peach Good Girl Moonshine. It's delightful and refreshing Peach Iced Tea with apple cider vinegar. Sugar-free.
I should probably start this post by saying that my kids don't have pop (soda, Coke, whatever you want to call it) or sugary drinks a lot. I try to make them drink water throughout the day but they don't like it and I have to remind them constantly to get them to drink it. They get most of their sugary drinks from our frequent trips to Chick-Fil-A where they are allowed to choose from Sprite, Root Beer, Lemonade or Sweet Tea so even if it's only a few days a week that adds up to a lot of sugar. I have tried and tried to get them to drink water with fruit or with very small splashes of juice but it's still a struggle to get them to drink enough of something they don't really enjoy. That's where GGMS (Good Girl Moonshine) comes in. I made the regular version and the kids weren't fans so I found a recipe for Hawaiian Punch version and tinkered around with it until it was perfect and my kids now beg for it all day. First, you will need Celestial Seasonings Raspberry Zingers Tea, Watkin's orange, raspberry and banana flavoring, ground ginger, apple cider vinegar(ACV) and some kind of natural sweetener (Stevia, THM Sweet Blend, Truvia, Swerve, etc.) I have found the perfect combination of the ingredients and flavorings for us but if you don't like it try different combos until you find what you like. If you aren't used to apple cider vinegar I would start with 1 tbsp and work your way up until you get the right amount. One tip for those of you who never seem to have enough measuring spoons. I buy the 100 ct. plastic spoons from Walmart and use one for my sweetener and one for my apple cider vinegar. They are almost exactly a Tbsp. and if I accidentally throw the bag of sweetener away with the spoon inside I don't mind losing one of these. Trim Healthy Mama Hawaiian Punch GGMS Recipe 4 Raspberry Zinger Celestial Seasoning tea bags 2 tbsp THM Sweet Blend or sweetener of your choice 2 tbsp (between 1-4 tbsp)apple cider vinegar ( I use Bragg's and suggest buying an organic brand that includes the mother) 1/2 tsp. of ground ginger 1 tsp Watkin's orange flavor extract 1/2 tsp Watkin's banana flavor extract 1/2 tsp Watkin's raspberry flavor extract Put all 4 tea bags in a 2 quarts of cold water overnight or for a few hours. Remove tea bags, add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Pour over ice and sip all day. We keep 2 or 3 jars steeping at our house all the time because everyone loves it. I mean what's not to love? It tastes like kool aid/hawaiian punch, no sugar, no carbs, no fat, and ACV and ginger are great for you and your immune system. It doesn't get much better. Now the kids are planning to go the whole month of March without any sugary drinks at all. If they make it they get $15 and so far it hasn't even been hard for them. They love this stuff and I'm happy to lose the $45 if it means they are not drinking empty, sugary calories. What makes this even better is when you are in public and your kids start asking if they can have moonshine when they get home and you agree without a second thought. :)

It's no secret that Hubby and I enjoy a good margarita. So why not expand on that?! Margarita Moonshine is the perfect combination of margarita flavor, with a backwoods kick. If you're a fan of margaritas, then you should definitely to try this moonshine. You will love it! 'Tis the season... A quart of Margarita Moonshine would also make a great Christmas gift. If you start a batch now, you should have just enough time to let it mellow, before giving it to friends and loved ones. Printable Recipe Ingredients: 2 cups Sugar 8 cups Water 2 cups Everclear 2 1/2 cups freshly squeezed Lemon Juice 1/2 cup freshly squeezed Lime Juice 1 1/2 cup Margarita Mix 1 Tbs Sea Salt Method: Pour half of the amount of water into a large saucepan. Heat up the water and mix in the sugar until completely dissolved. Remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool completely. Meanwhile, juice your lemons and limes. (We like to get a little pulp in there too, but make sure you remove any seeds.) Stir the now cooled sugar water mixture, along with the rest of the water, Everclear, lemon, lime, margarita mix, and sea salt into a gallon jug. You can now transfer the mixture into smaller containers if you like. (We prefer to use the quart sized glass jars.) Place the moonshine in the refrigerator and let it rest for at least a week before you drink it. (It will be EXTREMELY strong at first, but will mellow out as it sits.) Shake well before serving. Makes 1 Gallon Pass it around... and Enjoy!
