I'm here today to bring you my card for the NEW challenge we have over at Just Add Ink Challenges - Just Add Ink #673 - Just Choose Two Challenge. Today for our Just Choose Two challenge (to choose two items to feature on your project) we are choosing from Doors, Windows and Flowers. Flowers was a given for me as I love creating with just about anything floral but my other item to feature was a bit harder to choose. I went with Window but not using an acual image of a window but making a window in my card by making a Split Window Card. I've used a Calypso Coral card base and then for the flower element I've used the Stampin' Up! Garden Wallk DSP. This is stunning DSP and there is something in it for everyone. The flowers around the side of the window have also been fussy cut from the Garden Walk DSP. I've finished off the card with the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon (which I cut in half), some Linen Thread and some Blooming Pearls. There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team on the JAI Blog. Go and check out to see what 'two' elements they all used this week and then while you are there you can see how you can enter your project. Can't wait to see what 'two' you used. Today I am sharing my version of November 2023 Sheetload of Cards from Call Me Crafty Al. This month the template you can make 8 handmade cards with four 6” x 6” sheets of pattern paper and some cardstock. Each month Alicia from Call Me Crafty Al designs a fun template to create multiple handmade cards. Her designs are always fun and easy to use. They include a list of the types of products you need along with measurements to help you cut each piece. ***** See what the COLLABORATION TEAM created YOUTUBE https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOjF4zwVYrxlNNtvIc24hQg0CtDTC93f- INSTAGRAM https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/slctnov2023/ If YOU CREATE cards using this month’s SheetLoad, PLEASE USE the following hashtags: #SUYSNov2023 #ShowUsYourSheetLoad Find out how to GET YOUR FREE COPY of the November 2023 SheetLoad of Cards, here: https://youtu.be/bSyTUjn7bV8 ***** For today’s set of cards I used the Garden Walk DSP. Here are some of the other patterns in the pack of paper. One thing I love is that this paper can be used all year long as it has great designs for Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. I also used coordinating colors for the die cuts on my cards. I pulled in some extra colors like Soft Sea Foam, Old Olive, Boho Blue & Petal Pink. The Stamp Set I used is the Timeless Charm Set which did have a coordinating Die Set called Timeless Charm Dies. I also used the Timeless Arrangements Dies for the center of the card. I used a 2 3/8” circle punch for the vellum. I love the layout of this card. It is fresh and fun. I have a quick tip to share on how to easy apply the strips that run across the card. First, add the triangle pieces to the top left and bottom right area like it shows in the template. Second, lay the strips in the center with even spacing between them. Next, add a piece of washi tape over all the strips, I place it on one side rather than in the middle. Lift up each strip and add adhesive underneath. The Washi Tape will hold it in place. Repeat for all the strips. Remove the Washi Tape and add adhesive to the other side of each strip. All Done! As a part of her collab team, I get a sneak peek at her templates and then get to design and share my cards with you. I'm still crafting with the Garden Walk Suite this week. Today I created the Modern Garden Special Day Card.
Hello stamping friends. Happy Friday! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I'm here today with the Just Add Ink Design Team for the new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #667 | Sketch Challenge. This week we have a fabulous sketch for you designed by fellow JAI team member - Di. I recently recieved my pre-order Stampin' Up! goodies from the 2023 Sept - Dec Mini Catalogue and I was super keen to have a play. So my card today is using some of those new products and is helping me get a head start on making my Christmas cards. The DSP is the new Garden Walk DSP that is perfect for every occasion. It can be used for every season throughout the year, not just for Christmas. I've used the Garden Green Striped patter for the background layer and the bright Poppy Parade flowers have been fussy cut also from the Garden Walk DSP. The die cut foliage pieces are from the Joy of Christmas Suite, cut from Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. These pieces are on a long rectagular die but I cut them off so that they could sit better with the design of the card. The ribbon, seqins amd semtiments also all come from the Joy of Christmas Suite. I love combining products from different suites that don't necessarily go together to create something a little bit different. Make sure you check out my online store HERE on 6th September 2023 when you can purchase products from the new 2023 Sept - Dec Mini Catalogue. Go and check out the design teams take on the sketch at the Just Add Ink Blog for some inspiration and then come and join in this week's sketch fun! I can't wait to see what you create. The Fall 2023 Creativate Retreat was AMAZING, as always!! If you have never registered for the Creativate Retreats, you're missing out! They are so full of creative inspiration! The videos are all LIVE, so you can watch and comment along. Prizes are awarded to three lucky winners per live event! How cool is that? I guarantee that once you attend one Retreat, you can't wait for the next one! The Creativate Team consists of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators Sharon Armstrong, Jackie Bolhuis, Connie Stewart & Brandy Cox. This is the first year that I completed all the Pre-Retreat Challenges AND all 8 Challenges as well! And it was so fun to be able to accomplish all the challenges! So, you will be seeing all my projects in the next week or so. I can't wait to share all the fun... and in no particular order. My next project was created for Sharon's Project 2 - a fun fold card. Sharon didn't have a specific name for this fun fold, but it is a "fun" card! I created my "Birthday" fun fold card using Stampin' Up! Modern Garden Stamp Set, Modern Oval Punch, Irresistible Blooms Dies (for the leaves) and Garden Walk DSP. For my card base, I used Pretty Peacock cardstock. This is how the card looks opened up. The Garden Walk DSP is so pretty! I had to add it on my envelope flap as well. The sentiment was stamped using Pretty Peacock ink and die cut using the Modern Oval Punch, which was adhered to the card front with dimensionals. The flowers were stamped with Wild Wheat, Poppy Parade & Pretty Peacock inks and fussy cut. The leaves are from the Irresistible Blooms Dies. They were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. The embellishments are Blooming Pearls. The ribbon is Basic White Herringbone Ribbon. I looped it once and adhered it to the card front before adding the sentiment/flowers. This card doesn't open up flat, but it's a perfect card to display anywhere. Inside my card, I stamped the flowers and leaves in the lower corner. The sentiment was stamped using Pretty Peacock ink and additional group of mini flowers were stamped using Poppy Parade ink near the sentiment. Welcome to the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge! This is such a fun and unique sketch. I love it so much that I made two cards! I wanted to showcase one of the new DSP's from the annual catalog, which is now live! I always love a pack of paper that has patterns for all occasions. Have you seen the Garden Walk DSP yet? Let me introduce you to it... I started out with the Calypso Coral floral pattern, cutting three strips to go along with the sketch. I started out creating the frame with the Deckled Rectangle dies, but had a lightbulb moment and switched to the Countryside Corners stamp set and dies. The Cheerful Daisies dies were perfect to add to the bottom corner, layering Calypso Coral and Basic White. A little Garden Green sprig and a sweet sentiment completed the card. I couldn't stop there though! I'm pretty sure I could make this same card with every pattern of paper in this pack...it's so beautiful! I chose the poinsettia pattern for the three strips of paper. Isn't it gorgeous? The Cheerful Daisies dies worked with this pattern as well, using Wild Wheat and Poppy Parade for the layers. So pretty! Which one is your favorite? Calypso Coral or Poppy Parade? Be sure to join along in the fun with our sketch this week! Happy Stamping!

It is time for another Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop! This time we have a fun Sketch Challenge. I love the layout and didn’t have anything exactly matching the white central shape. So I decided to use the Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle. This Bundle is now available as an Online Exclusive. I have really enjoyed using it since I purchased it. I have teamed it with the pretty Garden Walk Designer Series Paper. This 6' x6' DSP is so sweet and has lots of colour variety for all your projects including Christmas Cards. I resisted the urge to use a Calypso Coral Card Base as I like the fresh look a Basic White card base gives. I cut the DSP first and the thin floral strips are 1.8cm wide if you are looking to make this card. I glued all the DSP to the card front. I stamped the hexagon label image in Garden Green and then stamped the floral stem in Calypso Coral before punching it out. I tied a 30cm lngth of the Calypso Coral Braided Linen Trim in a double bow before adhering to the card front using Glue Dots™. I then adhered the hexagon label using Dimensionals on the top of the ribbon. I stamped the sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set in Garden Green then die cut it using the Something Fancy Dies. I adhered the sentiment layer using Dimensionals and glue. I secured three of the Calypso Coral Iridescent Pastel Gems around then central image and sentiment. Up next on this months blog hop is my talented friend Aurélie Fabre. At the start of each month, each of creates another project using the featured suite of products to give you even more inspiration. Here is my additional Garden Walk Suite project. This is my take on a card design that I learnt in a class hosted by Julie Kettlewell. It's a fabulous way to showcase a pack of DSP and a perfect way to utilise every little piece of leftover paper. I've reduced the size, but increased the number, of the squares used on the centre panel compared to Julie's original card, and these mini squares of paper only measure 1.7cm (approx 5/8"). They were a little fiddly to arrange but I think that the effect is well worth the effort. The mini squares of paper are tiled onto a rectangle of Basic White card and then I used the Quatrefoil Tile embossing folder to embed the sqaures into it. The result is a beautifully quilted piece without any sewing! The flowers are stamped, using Pool Party and Pretty Peacock inks, fussy cut and adorned with some Blooming Pearls. The Enjoy you special day sentiment sits beautifully within the die-cut label from the Stylish Shapes set. This stamp set includes sentiments suitable for birthdays and Christmas making it quite versatile. I really enjoyed creating my projects and I hope you feel inspired to create with it too.
